I contracted Bart from Valhalla Contracting last summer to jewel stone my front porch and I could not be more pleased with the service and the final product. Bart explained the entire process and how long it would take to complete the job. He provided lots of pictures of his previous work and provided samples of the various colour schemes to choose from as well as his own suggestions. He also advised us on how to maintain and protect the product to ensure it keeps well for a long time. His pricing is quite reasonable for the amount of work that needs to be done and there were no surprises. I will definitely recommend Bart and Valhalla Contracting to friends and family and would certainly contact him again for any future work. One year later and our front porch still looks just as great as it did the first day.

Bart and Paul were fantastic to deal with and do a great job. We had our front stairs and entrance refinished as well as the strip in front of our garage and it turned out better than we expected. Prior to the work being done, Bart was extremely friendly and even brought over the colour samples a second time so we could confirm the colours we wanted. Once the work began, they filled in all the cracks – some of which were rather large and I wasn't sure how they would fix them, but they did. They also ground down all the rough edges on the overhang which really cleaned up the overall look. We chose a pattern that matched our stone on the side and back of our house, and Bart was able to replicate it perfectly. Then, before the sealer was applied, I accidentally left my sprinklers on and after calling Bart in a panic, he reassured me that it was nothing to stress about and walked me through what to do next. We have recommended Bart to multiple neighbors and friends, 2 of which have signed up to get work done after seeing our stairs. We would highly recommend Valhalla Contracting.

They removed the old 3-layers of flooring the previous owner had done a horrible job installing (which was peeling) and installed new jewelstone on the concrete, thereby insuring that it will last for a long time. My wife and I chose the jewel stone process for our rather large but plain front porch. Although there are several companies out there doing this type of work you would be short changing yourself if you used any other company than Valhalla Contracting to complete your job. Bart's work is absolutely impeccable and extremely creative. Don't waste your time looking for someone else to do this kind of work around your home; not only does he know what he is doing but he is reliable and shows up on time and gets the job done which is very rare when it comes to contractors working around your home. We can't count the number of compliments we have had on this job and his work. Definitely a true craftsman and a great guy to work with.

It’s hard to find a good Jewelstone contractor. Bart and his crew are professional, friendly and well adept in working in this medium. They do what they say and say what they do which is rare in a contractor these days. He has a ton of photos of jobs he’s done which helps you decide on a look that you may want. Had my veranda Jewel stoned last summer (2018) and waited a year to review. Looks as beautiful as the day it was done. Excellent workmanship and reasonably priced. I looked at other jobs from other Jewel Stone companies but the work was sloppy and not clean cut. Bart is very detailed and tidy. Nice clean lines and great color. No headaches with Bart, just make sure you choose your color scheme and design correctly. Will use Valhalla again for my walkway.

Bart and his team did a resealing of the jewelstone last week. Bart is very responsive to calls and texts. His team shows up on time, keeps everything clean and does an amazing job! The product is very durable and Bart's team are pros. I got quotes from some others when I was first looking at getting the work done. They were referred to me by a builder in the area and they came and did some concrete overlay for me...all around the base of my foundation...Within 6 months it has all started to peel off and flake...poor craftsmanship and now they will not respond to my email and phone inquiries....Would just like to find out product they used so i can match it and fix myself...Stay away from this company..!!!!
