We had done entire roofing with Better flat roofing.After couple of months in spring we found a leak which drained down in our building,within no time Mike along with his crew send the roofers to finish up the job and fix it.After further delay they came back without any reminders and made sure the job is done perfectly. We have no doubts about better contracting professional service and highly recommend anyone who wants to do their roofing.They are one of the best in the business...

We had a contract with 'Better Contracting' for a slate style metal roof with some soffit, fascia and capping. We found them to be extremely disappointing, irresponsible and the job is still not finished. We were told by Josh during the estimate on Feb 19th that this entire job would be completed within a two month timeframe and that the metal roofing, soffit/fascia and capping we requested would all be finished all together. The metal Soffit, Fascia and capping was of utmost importance to us and has still not yet been started (currently 4+ months later). We signed on and sent the first payment for them to buy materials on March 14th. The metal shingles were finally installed two and a half months later finishing on May 29th. Upon seeing pictures of the roof we found that the wrong colour had been installed. Josh tried to pass the blame onto the shipping company, and no one at the company took any responsibility. They demanded we pay, even though the full contract was not finished. We reluctantly paid for the roof portion under the promise from Josh that the job would be fully finished the following weekend. Now it has been over a month and I half and I have had at least 5 phone calls and broken promises from Josh and the reception desk that the rest of the job would be finished "the next day" or "over the weekend". The metal Soffit, Fascia and capping was of utmost importance to us and has still not yet been started (currently 4+ months later). Unfortunately this company is deceitful and does not take any responsibility for their mistakes. We may now need to find another contractor to finish the job.

I had high hopes for this company based on reviews and the promotion of the Mike Holmes affiliation. I have since discovered that the Mike Holmes recommended contractors program no longer exists. Murray came to look at my roof from the ground He was very friendly and said he would send one of his guys up the roof to evaluate later in the week since he no longer climbs. I was a little confused since I had called regarding needing a new roof. After several follow up calls and an email have not heard back. I had this happen on one previous location at another property I own and assumed that job was simply too small for them to bother with. Sadly this appears to be a pattern and either they do not have the courtesy to say a job is not a good fit ,they do not have the bandwidth or are poorly run. Regardless I will not be offering them an opportunity for my business in the future.

I have used better contracting before and they did a very good job ; a bit difficult to get them in but when they come to work they do very good job., however , at the office level totally different story, this company got so much attention after working for a very famous tv show, that when I try to call them for other jobs they sent me with this sales person "Josh", and after so many attempts trying to get Josh to call back he never got back to me , in fact I tried for one last time calling the office , this time around I got hold of a guy Murray. After a conversation over the phone with him I sent my blueprints for an estimate, then this lady Cecilia replied to me advising to send the email to Murray and back to "Josh" , and here we go again!!, back to nowhere!!, I did sent a last email to"Murray" and "josh" but never heard back from them. perhaps they are so overwhelmed with so much business , or just a bad team of employees. as an entrepreneur I understand how difficult it is to get customers to trust and call you, and seeing this behaviour from the employees just make me feel sick and sorry for the owner , that I am pretty sure he worked so hard for so many years and let this people mistreat his business like that. its pretty sickening.

The Graves brothers are people who care. It's that simple. Yes, they run a business...but they put people first. I've used their services several times, both for my own home as well as for my (retired) father. They are always polite, courteous, responsive and very fairly priced. They do exceptional work, and leave the jobsite spotless - even if any materials happen to blow into a neighbour's property. They will never be the cheapest - nor should they be. I highly recommend them.

Be warned, they are not honest. They asked for $500 in advance before viewing the work. They assured me that they would guarantee their work. They came and spent 15 minutes to repair a roof. Came back after the roof still leaked. Spent another 15 minutes. Roof still leaks, they won't return calls or emails.

I hired this company, because they were recommended by Mike Holmes. My first quote was given by Josh. He left and no callback for three weeks. Then I get promised from the owner Mike, that my roof would be completed by the end of October. Half the job has been completed. Now, radio silence. I should have went with DeAngelo roofing. #Ridiculous.

I really believe that the Graves Brothers are the finest people to work with. They helped me out as I had my roof done by a fly by nighter, here today, gone now. NO WARANTEE . They did a wonderfull job, clean conscience and great quality control. The big boss even climbed up the ladder to inspect. I feel very comfortable using these guys.

Made an appointment to get a quote and they never showed up. I phoned Rocco 3 hrs after they were due to show and he advised that he would get hold of the person that was suppose to attend and call me back. He never called me back and I never heard from them again. I'm not sure if the Holmes Group is aware of this, but having dealt with Mike and his staff, I would be surprised if they are and would continue to recommend them.

They came out to do an assessment on a Friday, promising they would have a written estimate to me by Monday. This did not happen despite me trying to email them again. Finally, 3 weeks later, the written estimate was sent to me but by this time my confidence that they were reliable was gone. Just glad I found this out before the work started.

Had a leak due to raccoon and squirrel damage. Called Better Contracting roofs for a new roof. They came to inspect and said they were fully booked but sent their man to fasten a tarp to deal with leak temporarily. Soon after they changed the pitch at the rear and installed a beautiful cedar shake steel roof. Their roofers were effective, efficient and professional and truly gentlemen. Not only does my home look awesome, but I have NOT heard any raccoons or squirrels on my roof since. I am highly recommending this company.

This company overcharged and did not deal with me properly. I provided address for a quote while explaining the problem over the phone. It just came and did the job. Imagine my surprise when I got called to pay up. This company was listed on Mike Holmes' website so I gave it benefit of the doubt and thought it had actually fixed my window problem. It didn't do everything it said it would do over the phone. It couldn't have because I wasn't home. While it did a good job fixing the exterior, it didn't do enough to make the other side look symmetrical. The bow window leak still exists. It basically charged me $500 to caulk the exterior nicely. I'm now looking for another company to do what I'd hoped they could do last year.

Omg what a waist of time, Pay attention to the bad reviews people! I was given a date for this company to come and do an EMERGENCY REPAIR. They said I would be serviced first thing on a wednesday morning. They did not show and promised me that I would be serviced on the friday morning FIRST thing...8:30am. After losing two precious days of work they DID NOT SHOW UP AGAIN! thank you for waisting my time and having such a poorly run company. I hope Mike Holmes reconsiders your company because you are not very professional. BEWARE!

The most unprofessional experience. They take deposits and don’t follow through on dates agreed with. 3 months later with no communication I canceled my deposit with visa. Zero star if I can. No compassion for my leak in my roof damaging my home and floor! when they said it only would only take a day to fix.

It was time for me to get a new roof, so I contacted Mike at Better Contracting. They came by and we went over different options (types, colour, price, etc). They started a few days later, after a bit of a rain delay, literally. They replaced my entire roof with a fancier shingle in the front, and a regular one in the back. They completed this work in roughly a week, with another rain delay in the middle. Afterwards, their flat roof guys came to redo my garage. They ended up finding that everything underneath was very rotted out. On top of that, the garage actually had a few laters of the garage, so it had to be all taken off. Everything got completed a couple days later and I couldn't be happier. Everyone I was in contact with from Better Contracting was very helpful and happy to help in anyway they could.

Excellent! Our new home had leaks in the basement, walls, ceilings, and squirrels and mice were literally eat us out of house and home; all of which were fix by replacing our roof and eavestrough. Better Contracting rebuilt our flat roof, changed the corrugated steel roof to a plastic tile that looks just like slate, and replaced our 5" eavestrough with 6" and Smart Screen. A year has past, we couldn't be happier with the results.

wasted my time. Met Murray at our soon to be house (using up 1 of 2 pre-sale viewings) for a quote to replace the roof on the Bunkie and repair flashings on the house. Was polite, courteous to take of shoes etc. Reviewed the pre-sale inspection which the sellers left on the counter for us and asked us to email it to him. It was promptly emailed to him the next day and was advised we would have a quote by Tuesday, as he saw the home on Saturday. After no call or email, I called him on Wednesday afternoon. He complained that I sent the WHOLE report and said he was called out to Burlington, had a whole lot of paperwork to do and would have something for me Thursday morning. Well, nothing. its FRIDAY today, and he is not answering his phone or returning the 1 voice mail I left for him. I guess the job isn't big enough for him, however a respectable person would say that the day they saw the job, not by ignoring a client willing to pay him. thank you for wasting my time, and yours.

Josh gave me and amazing quote, and during the roof's progress I went up and checked up the status of the roof. They fixed some pieces of the plywood that was rotten and they did an amazing job. I highly recommend this company to anyone that is willing to spend the right money to get the job done right.
