I'm disappointed with my experience with Think Renovations. Sarah, the office administrator, was very professional and courteous. Unfortunately, that can't be said for the rest of the team based on my experience. After an initial contact, I provided multiple photos and an explanation of what my renovation desires were. A phone call was set up, with a two hour window given, and I was not called. I spoke with Sarah and she apologized that they were using a new system so something may have happened so there was a miscommunication. We set up another appointment for a week later, and again I did not receive a phone call. I was able to get ahold of the office prior to closing for the day, and was apologized to with an excuse of being quite busy, but assurance that I would be called. Shortly thereafter Sarah called me back, and explained that they were too busy and not able to take on a "small job" such as mine at this time. Had I been informed that two weeks prior when providing my pictures and information of my wishes, or had Think reached out to me at any time apologizing and cancelling my appointment, perhaps I would think better of them as a company. At any time as they had my contact information they could have reached out to me, but instead they wasted my time. As it stands now, I guess if you're a "small job" too, maybe look somewhere else because your money isn't good here.

Kris was very pleasant to work with, listened to my ideas, and offered excellent suggestions of his own, including ideas that saved both time and money. He found and corrected some wiring issues, was thorough in resolving a mold issue, and didn't compromise quality for price, which was exactly my preference. I would not hesitate to use him again or recommend him to others.

Kris was excellent!! My elderly father needed a wheelchair accessible shower. Kris was very thoughtful and mindful in his decision making for products and time. He was open to input and ideas. Needless to say, the shower turned out perfectly on time and he was even able to finish below the quoted price. Super reliable and talented.

Kris, of Think Renovations, has done a number of projects for me, including adding a breakfast bar and building a pergola at my old home and repainting my new condo. But it was with the refacing of my new fireplace and covering the new fireplace vents at my condo where his brilliance really shone. The new fireplace was installed by another company, as per the strata council's request, but I did not trust any one but Kris to do the rebuilding. It was a difficult project because the new fireplace extends 3.5 inches further into the living room than the old fireplace and I wanted to keep my old mantle. Kris did a wonderful job of building the mantle out while keeping its essential character. He extended the hearth and put rounded corners on all of the vent coverings. I love my new fireplace and can't thank Kris enough for the work he did on it.

Kris and his contractor, Jason, have done amazing work for us in the last year, laying cork floors throughout our new house, building a beautiful home office out of a garage (including a custom-made cedar plank wall), finishing a powder room, ripping down rotted planters and deck rails, and building beautiful new cedar railings and privacy walls to replace them, building a beautiful fenced area for our dog - complete with a "flushable" potty area - the list goes on. Through all this work, they have been incredible respectful, calm, friendly, collaborative, accountable and have provided exceptional customer service. I have never felt like they've treated me with any less respect because I'm a woman - and, sadly, I have found that attitude of respect to be rare when working with tradesmen in the past. It's been a delight to work with people who have solid, reliable, competence in construction AND some emotional/relational skills, too. More than once they have pulled off minor miracles to finish a big piece of work on time, pulling in extra workers and really going the extra mile for us. Kris has an easy going, calm, upbeat manner about him, even when dealing with unexpected complications and setbacks, that has helped keep me grounded, too. I know he's got my back and he always comes through in the end. I highly recommend Think Renovations and we will continue to rely on their skills and support with anything inside or outside the house in the future. You're in good hands with them.
