If this review could have a 6th star, I'd hand it over to Diamond Contracting and Revolving Rooms. I never imagined our home renovation would be so painless!! Thank you Sheldon and Kendall (Revolving Rooms) for your incredible work and patience in designing and building our main floor and turning our house into something out of a magazine! I felt confident in every step of the 6 month process. Kendall's designs did not disappoint, and she was an amazing partner to have on board when it came to making some crucial decisions about how we wanted to use our space and live the lifestyle we want. (as well as when choosing tile and faucets, and all the other stuff that can be SO time consuming--Thanks Kendall!) And the Diamond team of trades were unbelievable, there wasn't a detail left out of place. Thank you so much! I would recommend Diamond Contracting and Revolving Rooms to anyone looking for an accountable team and very talented group of individuals.

A year ago I was fresh out of a divorce and the new owner of a run-down and depilated 1980’s split-level. To be blunt, it was hideously ugly. I had searched for the perfect contractor who I could trust to undertake a renovation and could transform ghastliness into the stunning home I visualized in my head. I searched for a professional who would easily see and grasp my vision, take it as her own, and make it into reality. After interviewing some highly recommended contractors, I came across Revolving Rooms & Diamond Contracting. From the first day, when Kendall Judd (with Revolving Rooms) came in and I laid out my vision and design ideas to her, I knew that I had found a gem. She and her team were attentive to my ideas, and I was integrally involved in all the decisions. Over the course of a year, I got to know both the Revolving Room and Diamond Contracting teams -I was beyond impressed. As a cohesive decorator and contractor unit, they display vigilant organization, a keen understanding of what will work in a space, and the admirable ability to work miracles. As an example, my house has a vaulted ceiling which was covered in 1980’s stucco, yet I visualized it with decorative trusses with inlaid damask wallpaper and a hidden stereo system…..only one of many examples of where this team grasped my vision and wildly exceeded my expectations.

My wife and I had Diamond and Revolving do a complete gut and reno to an older home we bought in the river valley in 2015. Very happy from start to finish with their service and attention to detail. Diamond did a complete renovation of kitchen and main floor. The whole process went seamlessly. They were on budget, finished ahead of schedule and kept us in the loop the entire time with progress. The designer Kendall was unbelievable as were all the contractors they have. We could not be happier with the renovation and would recommend Diamond Contracting to anyone and everyone that is doing a kitchen renovation.

Diamond Contracting?! WOW! They're amazing! I've been in the construction industry for 20 years now and there are so many contractors who get the job done but no one comes close to Sheldon Ens' work. Meticulous, detailed, organized and professional . Not only that, he follows up and he ensures you are satisfied in his work. He never cuts a corner and the quality is stellar! I must also mention Revolving Rooms who's designs are so beautiful you'll want to post your reno in the next up and coming magazine to brag about your new living space. Kendall Judd is so personable and creative. I loved working with her and never had to worry about anything. Kendall has a special talent not just in interior design but also reading my mind! She's amazing and so intuitive! Just by observing the way we live, she knew exactly what I needed for my space Diamond Contracting and Revolving Rooms are the best!

After interviewing several design/build firms, I contracted the combo of Revolving Rooms & Diamond Contracting in 2016 about a large-scale renovation for my home. After interviewing several contractors, we paid a rather hefty design retainer to begin the design process. After the first round of material selections and (relatively incomplete) drawings came out, we were hit with a budget "estimate" of >$600K for the renovation. When discussing costs estimates for various line items (like $28K for electrical and almost $30K for drywall) we were essentially stonewalled and told "it is what it is: this is our price and we don't negotiate". For clarity: I wasn't looking to negotiate, I was trying to understand but didn't receive any answers. We ended up receiving a half completed design package with many mistakes which I paid $7K for and then had to personally edit many, many times over when mistakes were discovered. Eventually, I bid the same package on the market to other comparable, top-tier contractors we received bids $150K - $200K lower (and these were high-tier contractors)... those unexplained estimates from RR/Diamond of $28K for electrical ended up being $11K (for full rewire of the home) including a new sub-panel and $30K for drywall (including all walls/ceilings, engineeer's structural report, and reinstallation) ended up at $13K including Level 5 finish and GC markup. Almost $30K in difference on two line items in the quote... There is no doubt from my initial research that RR/Diamond produce quality finished work, but the client experience for me was personally very poor. I ended up finishing my home reno within 3% of the quoted budget from another contractor while saving more than $200K from the initial bid from RR/Diamond, all while getting top notch finishing, high-quality trades, and minimal change orders. All-in-all, my experience RR/Diamond wasn't a great one and $7K down the drain for plans that I likely could have drawn myself in MS visio or Sketchup... what's worse, was that they seemed perfectly content to let a client walk away unhappy and without a single follow-up call or email to at least finish the design services properly for which I was quoted (i.e. many errors in drawings, incorrect fittings, wrong dimensions, no "code and permit analysis" that was quoted, etc). In fairness, I didn't reach out either but am extremely unhappy looking back on my experience. To avoid any confusion: I leave equally positive reviews on google when I'm satisfied with businesses who deliver on service promises.

We have used Diamond Contracting twice in the last few years and are so happy with our renovations and the work that they have done. Sheldon and his team are true professionals who care about the work they do and it shows in their attention to detail. Working in collaboration with the amazing team at Revolving Rooms, they gave us a kitchen renovation beyond our expectations; we have so much more storage now than before, and our kitchen is functional and beautiful! They were finished the project in the time estimated. Each person involved took great care and pride in their work. The worksite was tidied up everyday after they were finished! We loved their work so much, we had them come back for a small renovation to our foyer, washroom and stairs - again, they did an excellent job and we would highly recommend them for any renovation.

Highly recommend Diamond Contracting! Our experience with Diamond in 2016 was everything we expected and more. We did a main floor renovation (right down to the studs) and replaced major items like the electrical panel, hot water tank, furnaces. People were at our house early every morning and working through the day. Never a day that would go by where the project was not moving forward. Everyone at Diamond was very professional and polite. Sheldon and team answered any questions we had immediately and thoroughly. We were never left in the dark about anything. We were always kept up to date on cost. They completed the project on time. Quality of the work was stellar. We had a few minor issues afterwards (to be expected when you do a major renovation), and Diamond sent people out to address these issues right away. Don't get me wrong, you can find cheaper renovations elsewhere, but you get what you pay for. We wouldn't have done this any other way.
