Rick and I have used Contact Renovations for a few projects including the installation of decking to support our new hot tub, new master shower (new floor to ceiling tile, new shampoo nook, riverstone floor tile and new showerhead), new kitchen back splash and venting of our microwave hood to the home's exterior. Contact Renovations set out a thorough scope of practice and set up CoConstruct app that kept the customer aprised of the proposed time line of the project, scope of work and progress of the project. The home was well prepped prior to the project starting to protect the rest of the home from the construction. All crew coming into the home were very professional and completed the work exceptionally. Contact Renovations made sure once the job was completed to review the work thoroughly to ensure it was done correctly. Any concerns I had I communicated through CoConstruct and the concerns were addressed immediately. Contact Renovations is an excellent company that has great employees who do great work. I completely trust Paul and his company with my home!

Contact Renovations designed and built our updated deck and built a new covered pergola and two privacy walls. The reno involved replacing the old wood deck with new composite, and since we had to demolish a shed that was attached to the house, it also involved some repairs to the hardy board siding and stucco. Working with Paul and his team was a real pleasure - the build was managed well and the “site” (our backyard) was kept nice and tidy during the construction. Best part - the end result is gorgeous and exactly what we wanted. This is the second time we’ve worked with Contact - they renovated the whole of our interior in 2018. As we were completely new to the whole world of home renovations, we needed a reliable company to guide and help us to achieve the vision that we had of the end product. The process of renovating - very new to me - started out with a very useful first visit from the owner of the company. We walked the spaces in my small bungalow that I wanted some updates done in - and I had ideas from watching 4 years of home renovation shows and many hours on pinterest. The most amazing idea that Contact made into reality was my gorgeous, custom made 'hidden' desk that slides under the stair case! All the sub trades that they brought in were for the most part very respectful - and they had a strong 'clean as you go' policy that I appreciated as you still have to 'live' in the space. After a lengthy search and interview process we hired Contact to complete the extensive renovations to our 1970's basement. Although the basement was considered "finished" it was very outdated and required a complete demolition and remodel. The project started with bare concrete walls & floors. In addition to the more traditional elements involved in basement renovations, our design required moving the mechanical room (furnace, water, etc) across the basement, adding a window and enlarging the existing windows as well as redoing all plumbing & duct work. To add to Contact's challenges, we also lived in the upstairs of our home with our two young children for the 3+ months of construction. Paul's (Contacts owner) focus and attention to our project did not change from our initial meeting until the project was complete. If we had questions or concerns Paul addressed/answered those within 24hrs. Although Contact employed a number of sub-trades we always felt that Paul had the work well coordinated and that our interests were first and foremost. When changes were required or requested Paul would provide a couple of options with the pro's & cons of each. In one instance when a piece of work was not completed as designed, the error was identified and corrected ASAP with no questions asked. Paul's employees and trades treated our house and property with respect throughout the construction process. We have a basement that looks great and just as importantly, is incredibly well built. Today, 5 years after completion, we have had no issues with any of the work, giving us peace of mind that we hired the right contractor.

The discussion started with Gerald Dixon of Iconic Kitchens who put us in touch with Paul at Contact because my wife had added two bathrooms and a laundry room. Paul was needed to manage the various trades and he, with Shaun's help, did a terrific job. As others have indicated in their review great attention was paid to detail not only by Contact personnel but also the subtrades. Iconic's work was flawless and we were pleased to have Paul and Shaun keep an eye on it for us. In the end we got every bit (if not more) of what we expected for what we believe to be a fair price. Paul and team handled very well what was a complex gutting and rebuild in a high rise condo. They built custom trollies to wheel materials in and out and respected security protocols and other residents. The job was well communicated, high quality and really was a stress free experience for us even though it was our first time renovation. It was more than a reno though as it was a demolition and interior house build. Their professionalism lead to maintenance work for the building itself! We hired Contact Renovations Ltd. to do a kitchen reno. After meeting with Paul and reviewing our project we felt confident with him to expand the scope of our renovations to include the dining area and living room on the main floor of our split-level house as well as the family room on the lower level. We used Contact for our complete kitchen and back entry renovation in the fall of 2016. Paul was a pleasure to deal with. He was very attentive to budgeting issues and very communicative. He was flexible and aware of the impact of scheduling changes on our family. We had delays in addressing deficiencies but probably due to things that couldn’t be controlled. Otherwise the project was completed on time. Although Paul has a very good eye for detail and a great work ethic some of his subs did not seem to have the same. We recommend Paul to others.

We own a condo in a highrise in downtown Edmonton, and when we decided to renovate it we were extremely lucky to find Paul and Contact Renovations to do it. We have built and renovated homes in the past, and would absolutely recommend Contact to anyone. In short, Paul did a custom renovation with high quality cabinetry, workmanship and standards, and gave us total peace of mind and extremely fair, competitive costs versus other options we were initially considering. Our condo board was replacing our flooring and we decided to do a pretty extensive renovation to the kitchen and living areas of our condo. We started looking at a number of options to do this, including the standard cabinet and building suppliers as well as custom renovators and builders. At that point we called Paul and, following our initial meetings, we didn’t look back. From the time we met him it was clear that his knowledge and capability was high, his estimates were fully transparent on his costs, and all were tied specifically to the work scopes and items we were undertaking. Paul also provided great input for us to consider in finalizing the scope, both in the form and function of the designs and in cost trade-offs and options. Paul’s estimates were extremely competitive compared to all other options we had found for similar quality, and he gave us high confidence in his ability to do the work. Paul was very accommodating in his willingness to work with the flooring contractor and to install appliances, fixtures & blinds that we provided separately. As the work began and progressed, Paul and all of the people at Contact were a pleasure to work with. They are customer focused, have high work standards, and their craftsmanship is meticulous. The job site is never left in a mess, and respect for our neighbors in the condo was always a priority. Part way through the job, the condo association introduced a significant delay for Paul while exterior work was assessed, and he had to stop and restart the job a few times. He worked with all involved and around these new constraints while doing everything he could to not have us see change notices and cost escalation as a result. We really appreciated this and Paul went above and beyond what we have experienced before in this regard. The final disruption came when we decided to add some significant renovations to other parts of the condo to the job. Again Paul was amazing to work with, providing us quick and very competitive estimates and options to expand the job. He found synergies with the existing scope to keep the cost down, and we soon had an agreement with the same quality and transparency for the added work that we had for the original scope. When the job was finishing up, Paul did numerous walk throughs on his own and with us, and his attention to detail and standard of work was higher than ours – he spotted things he wasn’t happy with that we would never have noticed, and anything we found he simply addressed and never debated whether it needed followup or would cost more etc. The finished product was simply amazing, and we would never have been able to pull it all off without Paul and the folks at Contact. In the project close-out, Paul met with us and walked through all the invoices and work scopes, holding everything to his original estimates for the scopes of work. The whole process was totally open, honest and transparent for us, and we had no points of contention or disagreement. Paul treated us very fairly and honestly from the beginning of the project to the end. in hindsight we are so happy with everything that we did and how it was managed by Paul and the folks at Contact Renovations. From beginning to end, you can absolutely trust Paul to have your interest in mind and to work with you to be fair, to provide a very high quality product, and to do it in a way that is competitive and has no surprises at the end, Thanks for everything you did Paul – we appreciate it, we would recommend you to anyone, and best of all we made a new friend through this.
