I just want to say that Atlantis Contracting and Emre, are absolutely the best people you can definitely find to do any type of construction work or renovations for you; whether its general contracting or for a turn-key project, they've got the skills for all of it. Emre and his team are amazingly skilled professionals and are damn good at the work they do. I am baffled and blown away by how great the work is. They helped fix up a terrible basement job previously done by an absolute scabby company. I am so glad I found them and had all the amazing reviews that gave me the confidence to hire them. They were quick and you can tell that they have a passion for this work, because there isn't a flaw to be seen anywhere! I am definitely going to continue to use Emre for any contracting work that I need to get done in the future! Thank you guys so much for an amazing job. 5 out of 5 stars! absolutely amazing work and they weren't crazy expensive either. I've contracted them to finish the kitchen area of the basement and will be writing another review with pictures of their work. Hang on folks, long, honest, heartfelt review ahead! It's worth the read, I promise! We had a dishwasher leak that destroyed our laminate flooring in the kitchen. My husband and I, knowing nothing about flooring, yet thinking we did (ha ha) had gone out and pre-purchased a huge roll (12'x27' - we had zero idea what we were doing) of vinyl sheet at a deep discount, hoping to do it ourselves. When we realized the project was well out of the realm of our reno capabilities, we found Atlantis Contracting on the website Trusted Pros, and boy, what a blessing that was! The reviews from other customers drew us in and we had to check them out! I contacted Emre, who happened to be the President of the company, himself, to come and see. He responded to my email immediately and came by the very next day (at a time convenient to our working hours) to take a look. What struck me first was Emre's gentle disposition and kind personality. He is engaging, he's funny, and he knows what he's talking about! His many years of contracting experience were evident from our first meeting. Emre took the time during the consult to educate us about different flooring materials, and what would be best in our situation. He answered all of our questions honestly, and gave his opinions professionally. You could tell instantly he has an eye for design. We truly wish we had called him first before purchasing the vinyl sheet. Turned out our best solution was vinyl plank. Emre took his time in explaining to us why plank was preferable in the kitchen over sheeting from an esthetic, functional and work involved perspective. He took measurements and pictures, and provided us with a thorough quote for work. There was never any pressure to use his company, and when he left us that evening, both my husband and I said to each other: "he's hired!" Emre quoted us very fairly, working within our budget, and told us the entire job : removal of appliances, removal of damaged flooring and underlay materials, prep and install of new plank - all of it would take 2 days. We were shocked! So fast? And done right? Okay! From the beginning there was a certain respect and trust built with Emre. Two days after our consult, Emre arrived with his friend and coworker (and hero! But that's a story for another day) Riza. Both arrived on time, and instantly began the job. 9 hours the first day (a Sunday even, which worked so well for us!!), 7 hours the next, and our kitchen is complete. Both Emre and Riza are perfectionists, which is what we needed for our floor install. We feel our kitchen floor is a piece of art now! Each plank cut and laid in a pattern that is SEAMLESS!! They took their time, and the pride they take in their work is highly evident in our final product. When people love what they do, they will do an exemplary job. It is abundantly clear that Emre and Riza love what they do. Payment was easy through Interac e-transfer. The guys cleaned everything up, swept up the floor, and off they went, into the sunset! Look, 5 days ago we didn't know who Emre or Riza were. Today, they are not only our contractors, they are our friends. It was somewhat sad to say goodbye last night. THAT is exactly how you should feel, and who you want, doing your Reno work. Our house has many more reno projects ahead, and it's no question who we are contacting to come back. I hired Emre and Atlantis Contracting to replace our range with a chimney style range and to replace the calking along the kitchen counter. Emre and his assistant were extremely efficient and clean. They were available on very short notice and worked alone for a better part of the day as I had to be away from the house. The job was completed on time and with great care. We just hired Emre from Atlantis contracting to build our Kitchen Island. We are very satisfied with the results. He is licensed and ensured (WCB). Emre was very specific and clear with the estimate he gave us and provided a very clear contract, showed up on time and actually finished before the estimated time frame. Recently I hired Atlantis Construction to do the taping, mudding and sanding for a basement renovation project. I was very pleased with my decision. The owner, Emre, is very personable and promptly provided me with a quote and amazingly completed the work within three days. In addition, he beat another quote I had by $700. Emre went out of his way to make sure I was satisfied with the work. I would recommend Atlantis for your construction projects.

Atlantis Contracting responded to our call for proposals about a year ago and submitted a bid for the renovation/rebuild of about 7,000 sqft of flatroof in our cultural centre. Our building is very old (built in 1948) and our roof was leaking terribly, so much so that in the spring 2018 we had to place large garbage bins all around our top floor and change them regularly. The roof had large pools of water in the spring, and anytime in rained. It was a challenging space with many vents and penetrations on the surface. Mr. Gunel and Atlantis contracting gave us the best price, but when it came to completing the job, he most importantly went above and beyond to do an excellent job. Mr. Gunel and his staff were great, clean, courteous. It wasn't until October we could get the approval from the Board to start the project. Though he was under no obligation, Mr. Gunel and his team made sure they fixed the most problematic areas of the roof before winter 2019. He came back with his team in early summer and completed the project on time and within budget. He was open to making changes to the original plan based on the feedback we received from our construction committee and architectural consultant. We are extremely happy with the work and can't recommend him enough. We are happy to provide a professional reference for him to any company and residential home owner. When my husband and I decided it was time to renovate our 3 bathrooms, we attended a Trade Show in hopes of meeting some contractors that we could potentially hire. We did meet one company, the owner came by our home, looked at our project and gave us a quote. We advised him we’d like to start the renovation at the beginning of September. When we contacted the contractor in August to finalize things, he advised us that he wouldn’t be able to take on our bathroom renovations as he had too many other projects on the go. That’s when we learned about the Trusted Pro’s website. We posted our project on this site and contractors were calling that day and the days to follow to set up an appointment to come by and give us an estimate. We met with several different companies, and in some of the meetings it was interesting, you could tell how serious the contractor was in taking us on as a client because some didn’t take any notes, measure out the space, or they would try to talk us out of using mosaic tile for the shower floor, and use the acrylic base that came in the shower kit. Then along came Emre Gunel, President of Atlantis Contracting Ltd., he spent over 2 hours talking to us about our bathroom projects, you could tell he was interested in doing the work, he asked us questions, gave us advice, and more importantly didn’t try to talk us into something we really didn’t want to do. Emre and his team started the renovation on November 20th and finished it January 6th this was the time frame he told us and we even added/amended the contract to have him change out the Poly B waterlines to Pex and install in floor heating in the lower level bathroom. He is very knowledgeable, genuine, re-assuring and most importantly trustworthy. Emre quickly understood our needs and made practical suggestions such as consulting with us on ideas for mosaic tile for the floors of two bathroom showers, where to move waterlines, what color to paint the walls, where to place the niche in two of the showers. He is a designer at heart. We really appreciated that he thought things through, this showed in the details of his work, for example the way the tile was placed on the bathroom floor, you could follow the grout line on the floor, all the way up the wall, and the way he built a template for the base of the shower in our ensuite with a round edge to hold the round glass shower doors, it is absolutely beautiful! Emre and his team are professional, diligent, talented and treated our home like it was their own. When doing a renovation, it is inevitable that there will be lots of fine dust, however they took time at the end of every day to vacuum, sweep and clean up. Our 3 bathrooms have been completely transformed into high end, five star bathrooms! So if you have any project big or small, we highly recommend Emre and his team at Atlantis Contracting Ltd. He will not only meet your expectations, but exceed them! Thank you to you Emre and your team, when we are ready to move on to our next renovation, we look forward to working with you again. If you need a project done properly and with the most professional in Edmonton Area, Emre Gunel is among the top general contractor. He did an amazing job in our basement. He completed the laundry room with amazing finish and strong drywall and flooring. He then moved on our bathroom, to install a brand new bathroom in our basement. He did such and amazing job that it is by far the most beautiful bathroom in the whole house ! And it is the most well done. We are sure that no leaks will ever happen. He also finished our basement. His work is so detailed orientated and the amount of energy and effort he put in our project is outstanding. I attempted to do my own bathroom reno and well completely duffed it so I called emre to come out and take a look he was there the next day and right on time within a day or so I had my quote and was very satisfied with it because I had 4 other contractors come in I found him to be the most respectful and pleasant of all them. I also thought I was getting a rather good deal so I went with him. No complaints at all. Workmanship is perfect and the whole reason I called him in was my tile was not perfect if you ran your hand over it, his tile and all the prep work he did prior to it PERFECT no complaints am 100% satisfied and will be recomending him to close friends and family or any other jobs I need done around the house.
