Valley Creative Concrete recently replaced our front steps/front porch and a backyard patio. All of the crew members were very professional, clarified our desired results throughout the process and kept our yard clean during all phases of the project. Daryl provided great ideas in the planning phase and Farrin kept us updated regularly. Our project kept getting delayed but they were incredibly patient and ready to go when we were. We have more concrete work to do and we will be contacting Daryl and his team when the time comes. We highly recommend Valley Creative Concrete!

I contacted this company to provide me with a quote for a small concrete job. It took several days to get a response and I was advised they were setting up a remote office because of the pandemic. Understandable. I did get a quote for a larger area than I requested. The quote came in with details of what they would do. I followed it up with 2 emails with questions and that was almost 2 weeks ago and never heard anything more. I've moved on to another company, doing the same job for considerably less than the quote I received from Valley Creative. It pays to get several quotes.

Earlier this spring, Daryl and his crew made a great concrete patio for me that is both functional and rather elegant. I was expecting something quite basic, but their attention to details took the project up a level. The whole crew was very professional. They showed up when they said they would, completed the job consistent with the estimate for the cost, and did a very thorough job of cleaning up the site.

Valley Creative Concrete assisted with the design and construction of a large concrete patio and sidewalk, a lovely rock retaining wall with cedar stairs, a regular retaining wall and grading for a grassed slope from one end of the patio. An excellent, courteous crew completed the work in a timely fashion. To our delight, Darryl replaced the cedar stairs at no extra charge as he was not satisfied with the fit of the first set. We hired Darryl and his team to expand our driveway where there was originally gravel and to create a sidewalk around our shed in the backyard. Right from the get go Darryl and his assistant were very responsive and helpful. We were happy with the quote and extremely happy with the completed work. We had Valley Creative Concrete install a new garage apron, concrete stairs and stamped concrete patio. We are very happy with the result, it looks terrific and was carefully done to ensure excellent drainage. We were very impressed with the professionalism and courtesy of the entire crew along with their obvious competency. The guys who did the forming for the stairs are true craftsmen as it was done between beach rock retaining walls with many unusual curves. Highly recommend.

We have owned our home for a number of years, and over about the last four or five years, we had looked into expanding on our stamped concrete patio that was put in by the builder. Every summer we would reach out to a contractor. Of the three or four we reached out to, only one ever provided a quote, with the other two either showing once, or not at all. Valley Creative Concrete showed up on time, and promptly provided a quote. They were able to perfectly match the preexisting stamped pads, and stayed right on quote. Later this summer we had them pour the rest of our driveway getting rid of the blue chip. The job was done promptly and again exactly as quoted. We are very happy with both jobs, and the crew was very good with our two young kids who had lots of questions. If anyone is looking to get concrete work done in the Comox Valley/Campbell River area I would not hesitate to recommend Valley Creative Concrete.

I am stunned By the lack of professionalism of this company. Mutual friends, builders and contractors recommended Daryl Z to me to do a concrete job on my elderly mom’s front porch to prepare it for handrails for her. I called Daryl - politely said Hi how are you- expecting the professional response of “I’m well thank you” I was a bit taken aback when he unloaded all his personal problems on me... He then said he’d come look at the porch that week— no word from him. Finally I contacted another contractor who called darryl for a quote on the porch- finally he showed up but never ended up providing a quote,. He told me he didn’t like the builder..when I informed him I wasn’t using that contractor- I got no response. Weeks have gone by, Darryl doesn’t answer, his assistant Jessie told me they would get the quote may 25– it’s june 16 and I heard nothing. When I followed up today I was told Darryl wasn’t interested. HORRIBLE COMMUNICATION, terrible lack of professionalism, Incredibly unreliable— not qualities I look for in a company... I’m terribly disappointed as he was a recommendation from friends:( if you want a job done- I wouldn’t waste your time with this company... find someone that responds, shows up when they say and are professional- Sadly, this company is none of those things

The Management and crew of this company are awesome to work with, they took our obscure vision and made it a fantastic reality!!! They poured and finished an amazing outdoor living space that we will enjoy long into our retirement ???? The foreman and crew were professional and kept us in the loop as to the timeline etc, they had some artistic license and made for us what we couldn’t explain Thank You!!!
