Good job from John reattaching sink to granite countertop after three years of initial installation by Granite Prestige. Really bad job from Mathieu Ballerini (Granite Prestige manager) next morning at 7:30am yelling on the phone because "I didn't tip John". After getting John's email from Mathieu, I sent interac payment for $120. I feel bad that out of confusion I let myself be verbally harassed for something I didn't know "I was supposed to do" but wasn't made aware of previously.

We had the same problem as Siavosh Shadpey below the week prior to their review. The sink we chose (older model) was not the sink that was installed (significantly and noticeably smaller). The salesman made the mistake of not telling us the sink was not available and took for granted that the newer model was the same size. I wonder if he was worried about the repercussions of his mistake as he did not allow us to speak to the owner and offered little in compensation ($100 or so money back when the reason I changed the counter was for a larger sink). Fortunately the owner was responsive after we contacted him by registered mail. It was an inconvenience but at least it was addressed. I should add that before the installation we were very pleased with the service which is why we chose to not shop around for the sink and faucet. The stone itself is great and they had a good selection, the faucet head isn’t perfect and a bit flimsy in quality (our plumber was less than impressed) and the sink we chose was the demo and met our expectations.

I had a very mixed experience with Granite Prestige. The price is competitive, and communication was great, until installation day. I'll try to keep the story short, but basically the installer thought that the granite was sealed when it wasn't. As a result, there were some stains on the granite, presumably because the installer didn't know to be more careful. The only thing to hide the stains is a sealer with enhancer (to darken the stone from grey to black). However, I liked the granite's shade of grey without enhancer, just a regular sealer (the grey went with my floor tiles). Ron had said he'd give me 2 kinds of sealer (regular and with enhancer), but the installer gave me only 1 sealer (with enhancer), which I used, due to the stains and, frankly, my inexperience. (Also, it was a long day--a measurement error had to be corrected, slab removed and redone, etc.) I was worried about the stains, plus I've have never had a granite counter installed before. So I used the sealer with enhancer that the installer gave me. The result is a counter that is black and looks heavy in my small kitchen, in contrast with the original grey stone, which looked wonderful and matched my tiles, etc (but was stained). Every day I see my counter, and even now, four months later, have moments when I think "S---, I wish the original grey stone had worked out." For price, GP is great, but if you need guidance on installation day, another company might be a better option. I say this because another company changed the counter in the bathroom; they sealed the slab beforehand and communication with them was awesome. Granted, they were also a bit more expensive. So you get what you pay for.

(Translated) The first time we went for a vanity counter I said all I wanted was a white counter with nothing! is not the one I chose. It is white with dark gray veining. When the installer came in with the piece, I saw it was white but in fact what I saw was the back of the white quartz chunk. I saw the true color only after everything was finished and installed. Yes I was told that we could remove it but that the reinstallation would go in a month and I was afraid of doing damage to the new vanity as well as the walls where the backsplashes were installed. They NEVER apologized for their mistake. All I got was "what's the balance you got left to pay, $ 150 well keep it ... what do you want me to tell you" So I have a product that I do not like and I am very disappointed. Il est blanc avec des veinure grise foncé. Quand l instalateur est entré avec le morceau, j ai vu qu il etait blanc mais en fait ce que j ai vu etait l endos du morcau de quartz blanc. J ai vu la vrai couleur qu une fois que tout etait fini et installé. Oui on m a dit qu on pouvait l’enlever mais que la réinstallation irait dans un mois et j avais peur de faire des dommages a la vanité neuve ainsi que les murs où les dosserets ont été installés. JAMAIS ils ne se sont excusés de leur erreur. Toute ce que j ai eut c est : “ c est quoi la balance qu il te reste à payer, 150$ ben garde le… qu’est ce que tu veux que je te dise “ J ai donc un produit que je n aime pas et je suis très déçue. Very patient with us, thank you. We visited many times before taking their advice and visiting manufacturers show room, yes seeing the full slab is everything. Supplier sent info to Prestige and when we arrived, all was ready. An installation problem was quickly resolved by their installers and shop within a couple hours, same day. Clean install, good communication. Actually buying more of the slab today for another project. Great total team.

We recently had our kitchen countertops and sink changed by Granite Prestige. We were not satisfied with their services. 1) They installed the wrong sink (first picture attached) and when we brought it to their attention that our contract was clearly for the sink in the second picture, they said it was too late. They even said that "since the installed sink is Canadian and $150 more expensive than the requested one," we owe them money. The installed sink is in fact Turkish and not Canadian. 2) They damaged the top of one of our drawers (third picture attached) and did not bring it to our attention. Once we noticed, they told us that they would come back another day to fix it, however they never got back to us. When we contacted them, they told us to purchase a new wooden piece since "they are a granite company". We strongly advice against hiring Granite Prestige for your kitchen renovation.
