Took the better part of an hour to get out of the lumber yard. The line was wrapped all the way around the perimeter of the yard, only one person checking cars and taking payment Driving to the store, picking out the wood (which was a chore in itself, went through most of a bundle just to find 10 pieces that weren't split up the middle), loading it in my truck, and driving home all took less time than just getting out of the damn lumber yard.

Shopping for product in the store is great and selection is ok. However, the service counter is under staffed and painfully slow, add the fact that returning anything in the lumber yard is also time consuming. Perhaps Kent needs to shadow Home Hardware when it comes to customer service. Hint hint... They allow debit or credit card purchases at service counter for faster service (time is money for customers). Also, redo the parking lot, it's a mess!!!!!

Going to this location today was actually the worst customer service I've ever had to deal with. Most employees are polite but they have absolutely no idea where anything is. We had four different employees say that what we were looking for was in a certain place then to find out they don't even carry it. I was embarrassed for them and having a bunch of teens acting like goofs on the job, making comments about my appearance? Avoid at all costs.

This store needs to be totally cleaned up in the aisles.Way to many items like ladders and unopened stock on pallets being left in the middle of the aisle and not off to the side. I physically had to move a couple of ladders to get through with the power cart I was using. It was so difficult to maneuver around the store as most everywhere I went there where obstacles blocking the amount of space needed to make a turn. This is the most totally disorganized and cluttered store I have ever been in. Who ever designed the width of the aisles never thought about someone with a disability using a wheelchair or power assisted cart. Trying to get to the cashier was a job and a half as the opening going there was so small that a staff member had to move stuff around In order to get the electric cart through it. The opening was that small and cluttered that the cart wouldn't fit through. I felt trapped and very claustrophobic in your store. I will take my business elsewhere because of this issue. Very disappoint ing especially since this store has just been built just recently. Very poorly thought out design work here.

I will alert people who've not purchased a trailer there, is that they have to go register it for you but had no time frame on when that would be completed. Not really a huge issue but the staff should be informed of that not just the management. All in all always a good experience at the local Kent.

"I don't do that "..go see Steve in electrical..then it was "no he was supposed do that ..oh no ..you have to get an electrician to do that..we dont give quotes .." really very disappointed in the staff's knowledge.. Homehardware on sackville drive ..had a list of things I needed an a quote within 15 minutes ...great service there .

We had a rough time getting a fire place that wasn't in store delivered to the store, we had paid a down payment on it, and it was supposed to be delivered to this store within a week. A few weeks passed, so we called and they had told us they would let us know when it was delivered, that was fine. Another week passed and we went in store and they looked it up and it didn't really say anything on our file, they called the store that it was being shipped from and we were told it was being shipped asap. Another couple weeks passed and I decided to email the manager directly. Ultimately the manager was amazing, she personally went to other store's and looked at the exact model we wanted, she had found one at one store with a small scratch and offered it to us for a fraction of the price, which we were thrilled about. When my husband went to pick it up from the store they had a brand new one for us, we ended up paying only half of what the fire place was marked as! We were very happy with our purchase, and have used them several times sense.

Ordered siding from Kent in Miramichi 3 weeks ago.We had that particualr siding priced at the Kent in Moncton and they couldn't match their prices for whatever reason. So without making a fuss I ordered it and paid anyway. They told us that they didn't have that particular style in stock so they would need to order it. After 3 weeks I hadn't gotten a call so I decided to go see. They had lost my order. The guy at the desk started looking but was taking forever sifting through papers. I asked him to call me when they find it and I left. I never heard from them, so I went back the next day. They started looking again because they obviously had stopped when I left the day before. after waiting for 30 minutes I decided to just get the order refunded...I got better service getting a refund than ordering from Kent in Miramichi. BIG WASTE OF TIME!!!

The worst lumber I've ever seen , in my life . I'm a carpender , for 35 years and have never seen such poor lumber ,in my life . The pile of 2×10s I went through today , after beating them apart with a sledge hammer, should be put in the garbage . Why does Irving keep sending garbage to Miramichi ? That stuff would not pass code , so is actually " NOT LEAGLE " as in AGAINST THE LAW . I feel bad for the workers there because they are trying to surve people but have nothing but junk to deal with . Come on Irving !!!! Smartin Up ! The one star I gave is for the staff , because they are very good . Very polite and helpful .I'll go back for stuff inside the store but not for lumber .

I don’t recommend Curbside Pickup. I ordered two days ago just two items and it took 48 hours to notify me that they have put the order together. I parked and called the number. No one answered and the operator kept trying to get someone to take the call. Finally when someone did come out they weren’t wearing a mask and walked up to within 2 feet of my car window. I asked that they go to the passenger side. Then she asked that I open the trunk but I had just gone grocery shopping so that was a no. I asked her to just drop through the side passenger window but she said she couldn’t reach into the vehicle (ahem, how is that different from reaching into the trunk??). She could have just as easily said she was leaving them on the ground but she passed them to me physically. The moral of the story is if you’re gonna practice safe distancing, really know what you’re doing — wear a mask, put on the ground, walk away. Don’t throw shade because someone’s trunk is full and you’re not prepared to use some common sense. I really do prefer Kent over the orange place but please realize that customer service needs to be practiced while being vigilant about your and my safety.

Great deals, especially if you collect Airmiles. Staff are great, but usually need to be approached first. I find they rarely come talk to you and ask if you need help. Once you ask though, they are very glad to help you out. The main reason bringing this rating down to 3 stars is because of item availability and organization. Whether you want 1 or 10, they never seem to have enough inventory and good luck finding a price as items always seem to be in the wrong spot on the shelves. Edit: They must be listening. During my trip there today, I was approached by no fewer than 4 staff and had 2 very helpful conversations! So I've upped my rating to 4 stars. Thank you so much!

We were there to get wood for the deck we're build. It was my first time shopping for wood and the amount of wood with splits in it or warped was staggering!! If I hadn't been with people who knew what to look for I would have ended up with terrible quality wood.

The service is very friendly and the staff are generally knowledgeable about their products. Unfortunately, the products are the problem. On more than one occasion, I have gone in to get something - concrete backer board, various trim pieces - only to find that the stock is down to only a few, and they are all damaged. This happens because stock sometimes gets damaged, but people won't buy the damaged ones so they sort through and take the good ones. Once it hits a few broken ones, no one buys any more, but the computer doesn't trigger a purchase because there are still a bunch in stock. Staff need to go around and visually check their stock. If there are only a few of something left, and they are all broken, write them off and get some new stuff. Extremely frustrating to have to drive an additional half hour to go to another store. On a general note, regarding the website, PLEASE STOP LISTING PRODUCTS THAT ARE OUT OF STOCK. TOTAL WASTE OF TIME. In some cases, I realize it would mean zero search results, but at least that's accurate.

Just finished building a "small shed" and primarily due to proximity, I decided to use Kent for the materials. I could not have been happier with the experience. Their prices are very competitive; the had all the items I was looking for; and give you Air Miles for all purchase. But the best this about this location is the staff. I am so impressed with the professional and friendly manner of each of them. They are welcoming, available (but not hovering over you), knowledgeable, and make you feel comfortable being their.

More geared for contractors but if you go in with an idea what your looking for the staff can assist you the rest of the way. Not a five star rating because lack of inventory on website. Wasted my time coming in, was told over the phone that they have a sizable greenhouse. They only have outdoor plants, and don't even have houseplant soil or accessories? Extremely dissapointed.

Similar to Home Depot and Rona with what they sell, the layout of the store and prices. Staff were very friendly and the young guy helped me disassemble the display furniture that I purchased. The store is well stocked and well laid out. If you need tools, building supplies, lawn furniture, wood, steel, whatever, this is a good choice.

Generally I find the people in this store very friendly. The guys in the lumber yard will almost bend over backwards for the customers. However, this one star is because of an experience I had in the paint section. Me and my wife had a question about paint and there was nobody there. We waited and waited and finally this older man in a Kent's shirt walked up and behind the counter and paged on the phone. So I quickly tried to ask him my question and he instantly put his hands up and barked at me "I don't work in this section!". I was a little shocked, but I asked " who works here, then?" and he just ignored me. I asked a again and he completely ignored me, I couldn't believe it. I went up to the front and asked who this person was and explained that he was extremely rude. I was going to ask for the manager, but I didn't have the time to deal with it. The girl at the cash explained that she thinks she knows who I'm talking about which makes me believe he has done something similar before. I am just amazed that anyone would speak to someone the way this guy did to me, let alone when he is in his place of employment and his job is related to customer service. When the girl in the paint section did show up she was very helpful, and she apologized for not being there as she was helping another customer. This guy should be dealt with.

Meh.....plumbing fittings, electrical boxes...etc out of stock. Customer service counter has no clue when they will have more. 3 different times I had an employee called to come help and no one ever showed up. Also....some staff have absolutly no idea of what they are selling. Nobody seem passionate about their job. 2 months after my review....still plumbing and electrical out of stock. I just bought a $549 electric fireplace. No freaken help for installation issues. "Call Napoleon". Totally useless Also shiplap kit at $169.99 in store. $99.99 on website. Cashier says she can match that price. WTH !! It should be marked " on sale at $99.99" in the store....but no....prefer to screw a customer that is not aware. Nevermind, I will buy direct from your supplier and pay $54 ha ha ha 8 foot corner bead at HD...3.94. Kent 5.12!!

Went to get screw washers in bulk. We bought two packs because for the same amount in bulk would have cost was away more then we paid for them. Bulk used to be cheaper... But it isn't anymore.. At least not here.

Great place for getting any kind of building supplies, from wood, to metals, to paints they got it. And not for a break the bank price. If you ask them to drop or pick up something to and from your house they will do so. The staff here are all friendly and it is a great location for any do it yourself projects or paid home renovations.

This is definitely the worst Kent I've been to, and as a contractor I have been to many different locations in the Atlantic provinces. Today I spent 35 minutes waiting for some one to come unlock the wheelbarrows I went in twice and called once and no one came.so after 35 minutes, I went in and returned the wheelbarrows that I had paid for but never got and went to home hardware to purchase some (they were great! Not a big selection, but I had my 2 wheelbarrows in less than 5 minutes) So in short, this Kent sucks and I will not be going back, to waste 35 minutes if my time and my 15 employees that may be waiting for me to return with supplies.

Multiple times I've called to confirm them have stock in Summerside, only to find they don't actually have the product when I arrived. They check other stores, and tell me to drive to the Kensington store... no stock there as well.

WARNING - they seriously dropped the ball recently. I called to inquire about a product that was out of stock online and in store, in the hopes that they might be able to find it for me. I was happy when they found one in a different location and was told it would be shipped to the store within a couple of weeks. After about a week and a half I called to inquire about the status, only to be disappointed to learn that it had not been shipped yet, even though it was only an hour away in Fredericton. They then called back to apologize and offer two day delivery - saying they'd spoken to the Fredericton location and was being shipped. Today, when it should have been here I called to see if it was in, only to be told it was out of stock and they couldn't get it! I find it to be completely unprofessional that the screwed up 2x on this order and that I had to be the one to call and find out. All the manager was able to do was apologize and offer a deal on another - with no explanation on how it got so messed up. I was trying to support local businesses but if I had just ordered from Amazon I'd have already had it! last time I shop at Kent.

Asked custimer service for help again. Confirmed they have 3. Went back, saw boxes on top shelf, told customer service. Waited 20 minutes for "Seasonal Person", didn't show, so I left.
