Amazing experience with S.A.Construction. Emergency supervisor was on the scene within few hours from my insurance call. Did a thorough walk thorough and spent extra time explaining to us the full scope of damage+repair cost so we won't face any surprises. They took care of all the paperwork with the insurance and did the scheduled work as outlined in their original estimate. In mid December we had a house fire. There was extensive smoke damage. We live in a tiny,very old house filled with lots of tiny memorabilia that is very important to us especially since my husband recently died. Nolan and Mike were very respectful of the situation and very respectful of us and of the stress we felt. Mike and Nolan were patient with my questions and explained things to me. They never made me feel silly for asking and always took time to make sure I understood things. They had to deal with business closures due to Christmas and New Year holidays and then with business slow downs due to Covid 19 . They knew my daughter and I really wanted back in our house so they worked very hard to get us home as soon as possible. The finished work in the house is wonderful. It's all painted and we have beautiful new floors and a new kitchen. Mike and Nolan made a stressful situation so much easier to manage. I would highly recommend them!

My wife and I own a rather large shop (about 2500 square feet), with living quarters attached, since we are in our retirement years. We had a fire in the shop portion caused by spontaneous combustion of a fully charged lithium ion battery that was installed in a cordless drill, and put away on a shelf for storage, after use. Fortunately we were able to contain the fire to the shop alone, but the damage caused by the fire, will probably settle out around $200,000. We were fortunate to have a good insurance company (Co-op), who hired Southern Alberta Construction to do the repairs. Southern Alberta Construction were terrific they sent out Nolan Shaw and a wonder group including Theresa to do the demolition. This work was done very professionally, making every attempt to save items that were keepsakes , clean and store what was salvageable, dispose of items that were not. Mike Galantai and his team including Murray, did a great job seeing that every detail was brought right back to where it was (or even better in some cases) before the fire. I would highly recommend Southern Alberta Construction for any project, fire related or not!

Southern Alberta construction was sent to us by our insurance provider (Co-op) when a leaking pipe in our ceiling caused a flood in our kitchen. The repair work done is excellent, it looks better than new. they set a very tight schedule and stuck to it, they showed up when they said they would, completed the work when they said they would, and did a very thorough clean up at the end. they even took the trouble to meet our nervous little dog so she did not freak out with all the in and out. Carla kept us informed throughout the process. we will definitely call them next time we need work done.

Nolan and his crew were there to get the estimates, demo and prep work done to allow for rebuild by the next morning. Darren (in charge of rebuilds) was there in the days following as things dried out to get the estimates and paperwork done for insurance approval. Everything was coordinated well, and they worked their schedule at my request to allow space for me to fit in some structural upgrades/repairs (floor drain and foundation repair) with no impact to the overall rebuild timing. This was all incredibly helpful as I had a tenant who was displaced and their speedy work allowed for me to keep that tenant which to a land lord is great. The whole process took 1 month which is pretty darn quick given the scope of the work. Thanks very much guys and to anyone in need of quick, quality work I definitely recommend SAC

A big thanks to Darren and the staff at Alberta Construction. Our dishwasher went through a full wash cycle with out pumping the water out. The water migrated under the hardwood floor ruining the floor around the dishwasher and into the basement bedroom soaking the drywall in the ceiling. The hard wood floor in the kitchen had to be replaced. The hardwood floor also continues through out the whole main floor so it all had to be refinished. Also, some of the bedroom ceiling drywall need to be replaced and painted. The Cherry kitchen cabinets need to have the gable end replaced by the dishwasher along with all the kick boards. They took care of everything for us. Moving the furniture out and back in. Arranged all the work to get done. All our request and concerns were taken care of in a timely fashion. The finished repairs all look great, especially the floor. The colour match on the cabinets is perfect. I would definitely use Southern Alberta Construction again. I had these guys do renovations on both of our shops before opening. Did a flawless job getting us to code by increasing the fire rating on the walls in the shop area and also created more space in our showroom and office areas. They did a fantastic job custom building service counters at both locations. Customer service was beyond my expectations considering we were on a very tight timeline. The part I was most impressed with was the original estimate was bang on with no hidden fees at the end. I'm not one to usually write reviews but in this case I felt it necessary due to the effort these guys put in!!

Mark, who is one of our neighbors, showed up at our front door the morning after a fire along the exterior wall of our front attached garage to offer his companies services. By 10 a.m., Nolan arrived and started documenting all the damage. By 12:30 p.m., their crew started emergency cleanup & remediation. By 4:30 p.m., the debris was cleaned up & the damage to our house was sealed up from the elements. Thankfully, SAC was there for us as the temperature was dropping rapidly to -12 and a nasty wind made it feel far colder. Nolan supervised the remediation activity all afternoon while continuing to document and write the insurance report. SAC brought in dehumidifiers and air scubbers to place throughout the house which made an enormous difference in reducing the smoke & water damage. By Monday morning, ~60 hours after the fire, Nolan had sent me the insurance report & all the documentation to be filed with our insurance company. The insurance company, who had been MIA all weekend finally came alive about the same time. Overall, SAC was fast, efficient & professional & I would not hesitate to use them. Mark and Nolan were incredibly helpful and eased the transition to the insurance companies preferred suppliers which they pretty much insisted on. I thank God for his mercy & protection and for Mark & Nolan & SAC for being there for us in our time of need.

I cannot express how awesome the team from Southern AB Construction is. Their leader Darren is an amazing person. I had water issues with black mold. Darren shows up on a Friday at 4 pm and offers to help me take down my cabinets to see what the issue was. Most people on Friday afternoon just want to go home. Not Darren. He helped me remove the cabinet only to find it full of mold. Darren helped me understand what steps to take. Who does that? Most people just want to go home on Friday at 4 pm. Not Darren. I had to replace my entire kitchen. I ended up doing my entire main floor and some of my second level. I never even got a second quote. Anyone that wants to help you out Fridays at 4 pm is the person I want to work with. I also cannot say enough about their carpenter Murray. He was at my home for countless days. He is an amazing person and has attention to detail like no other. He treats your home like it was his and always does what is right and not what is easy. Murray is gold and SB Construction is lucky to have him. You are #1 in my books Murray. I also had Gord at my home many days. Gord is also fantastic and is always willing to help you out. I simply cannot say enough about the entire SB team. They rule and you should give them a try. You will not be disappointed. PS.
