I would like to thank Handyman and specifically Gary for the excellent service yesterday. He really went above and beyond to ensure that my condo/apartment is functioning again at full capacity! I bought the wrong materials but he made it work despite this error. Kitchen cabinet looks great now. And I now know what type of materials I need to buy for next time. Thank you as well for completing a few extra jobs for me even though they were not a high priority or on my list. Couldn't be happier with the service. Please be safe and drive carefully. Unfortunately I did not get to experience any of their handy work. When the technician arrived for the days work today, he asked me what I was quoted on the work. I told him 8-10 hours. He went outside to make a phone call, came back, and said that it would be at least double the estimate. He professed that he didn't have a whole lot of cabinet experience and that it would probably take him a little longer than some.....said "sorry, goodbye" Big disconnect between the office and technicians. Bad experience, would not recommend.

A very professional outfit and their format was very beneficial to me. On the day of the job, I received a text message with a brief bio of the technician and photo with his ETA (really well done). Andrey was excellent and easy to communicate with, really down to earth and practical person. We needed to fix rotting pillars at the back of the house and he took the time to explain the process to restore and how things should be done. We were well pleased with the end result and definitely feel this is a good company to have on your speed dial even though they are a bit on the expensive side. Hired this company to install a hook into the ceiling for a hammock. Explained ceiling was concrete and what kind of fixture came with. Woman on the phone wasn’t sure if it would work but would tell the workman coming. Workman came and told me it wouldn’t work, then left. Was here all of 2 mins. I ordered a new piece, called them again a week later, and the guy came again. He was an hour late, but had a big project prior so I was fine with it. Installed 3/4 screws in but couldn’t get the last one in. I asked if that would hold and he shrugged his shoulders and suggested I wear a helmet. Needless to say, I wasn’t filled with confidence. Then he proceeded to charge me for the first visit as well where nothing was done anyways. L

Great people to deal with. Friendly and professional, and at a reasonable price. Only downside was that I got a text and email at around 1pm that the guy was on his way and called an hour or so later saying he was here. They were scheduled to be there at 5pm. I was out and didn't get the message until later. Freaked out because I thought I missed them, but they arrived again that evening

I booked with Mr Handyman to install new butcher block counters, and a kitchen sink and faucet. Booking was easy and everyone was friendly. Robin came at the time promised, did great quality work, and was done ahead of the quoted time. He cleaned up after himself, and even made me a couple of cutting boards from the countertop offcuts! I would highly recommend these folks, and will use them again for any projects that are too big for me to handle alone!

Overall, I was very happy with the service provided by Gary at Mr. Handyman. The quote to service process was very straightforward, and the handman was professional and friendly. When the job was finished, there were a couple of spots that were missed, that we ended up needing to paint ourselves after they had been patched. The service cost more than quoted, which was fair as we expanded the scope once we had the handman in our home and identified other things he could help with. I would recommend to family and friends.

Fixed a hole in our dining room ceiling made to allow a plumber to look at our piping. The original plan was to drywall it but my wife asked if a cover could be put on it so that if we had any further piping problems (main pipes to the two upstairs bathrooms ran through that area), we didn't need to make another hole. He knew exactly what to do and he had the cover needed with him. In the end, it cost less than half the estimate to use the cover. Very pleased.

It's really hard to find a "handy" person in Vancouver. Trade specialists are more easily found, but someone who can do the odds and ends is very rare. We used Mr. Handyman services to do a bunch of things around our apartment such as re-caulking our bathroom fixtures, re-grouting some of the tiles. They were very responsive from the beginning. The biggest task was to install a washer and dryer and haul away the old one. It ended up taking an hour longer than their initial estimate which was justified given some unexpected issues while installing the washer-dryer. But overall we were really happy with the quality and professionalism. They went out of their way after the work was completed to go to a hardware store and show us some of the plumbing parts we may need in the future. I highly recommend Mr. Handyman.

Our 7yr old townhouse complex vinyl sidings' bits and pieces have become loose and some went missing due to wind storms that happen every so often. We got quotes from contractors but we went with Mr. Handyman because their work has a 1 year warranty and they were able to re-install that missing piece at the tip of the gable that require a 40ft ladder to reach. One other contractor declined to do this. Andrey, the technician, did a good job. Also, I am happy that they charged us with a fair price. Definitely, I highly recommend Mr. Handyman.
