Nikolai gave us back our faith in contractors and humanity. It’s not just that he knows what he’s doing (and he does!), he does it on time and on the estimated budget without any surprises and fairy tales. He doesn’t start with a new project until he is done with the job he was committed to do. No jumping around trying to do as many jobs as possible at the same time with bad results all around. We were short on money but we had to finish a project another contractor left in the middle. Nikolai finished it within a week and in a way that we could continue with our lives until we could save more and make it completely. Even after he was done, we feel comfortable to call for advice. He gives us tips and instructions that help us maintain our home and refer us to reliable professionals who can help us with small jobs. Nikolai is extremely reliable, knowledgeable and super professional. We are very happy we met him and will definitely recommend him for anyone.

*Posted with permission from our customer* I contacted Nikolai from Olmani Development to repair damage due to flooding in my basement. Nikolai was a consummate professional. He was experienced with insurance claim repair work, and new how to handle difficult insurance adjusters. The very morning after we awarded Nikolai the contract he was at my house starting work. From there on, he was at my house personally every morning working, and ensuring his crew was working to the highest possible standards. I was constantly updated on progress (at my request ) and he worked diligently through to completion much faster then I expected. The final work was of the highest possible quality. A thousand times better and faster then if I would have allowed the restoration company to sub contact the work out. Nikolai was always available when I had questions and concerns. I have personally recommended him to my family and friends, and he will always be the first person I call when I need any kind of home repair work completed in the future. Nikolai of Olmani Developments was recommended to us by my brother and his wife. Nikolai is a friendly and knowledgeable contractor who showed up everyday with his crew promptly at 8:30 am. If he was going to be picking up supplies and was going to be late the next morning he let me know the day before. Nikolai was helpful with his suggestions but always listened to what my husband and I wanted. His workmanship is first rate. For example, Nikolai had installed molding around a door that was very very close to a corner. I noticed that the gap from the top of the molding to the bottom seem to get wider. When I mentioned it to Nikolai, he explained to me that the walls were not square; that they were not straight. Given that the house is 30 years old, I accepted this. A day or so later Nikolai asked me to look at the molding again. The gap was even. He somehow re-installed the molding so that the gap size was more even and the gap was not noticable. Nikolai was on site everyday, oversaw the project completely and did all the major construction himself but called in specific trades as necessary. This major renovation was not a headache as others had led me to believe. Nikolai gave me homework and as long as I got the homework done Nikolai and his crew got their job done. In spite of the dust and noise, it was an awesome and fun experience. Thank you Nikolai and Isai for the beautiful kitchen, bathrooms, fireplace, deck and ....much more.

From my experience with a leaking shower repair, I recommend this service provider. Nikolai came, diagnosed, and fixed a leaking shower. A handyman had suggested it would be hard to do and potentially needed a $5k re-tiling and shower pan re-do. Nikolai diagnosed it a bit more and was able to narrow it to a bad plumbing job behind the wall and not the shower pan/tile itself. He also found a shower control valve was not sealed properly. Although not the cheapest in terms of rate, he kept the repairs reasonable and minimized disruption and cost. He fit me in around his other jobs and took pride in his work which is appreciated. I will call on him again. Thank you for the good service.

We called on Olmani Development to redo our bathroom when recommended by a local bathroom store. From working with him we realized he had good quality work at good prices, so decided to ask him to change our flooring and get rid of old rug flooring. Then decided it was a good idea to ask him and the tradesmen he could provide to get the basement made into a living space. We were well satisfied with the work.

Nikolai and his crew recently remodeled my basement suite kitchen. The timeline was short, and many of the potential problems unknown. It was done with complete professionalism, on time and just under what he estimated. (He replaced the floors, the cabinets and counter-tops, sink, back splash tile, lighting and plumbing.) His sub-contractors were also efficient, timely and cost-effective. I can recommend him without reservation.

- Straightforward agreement was reached with Olmani Development prior to starting work, and work started promptly once the building permit was obtained from the municipality. - Olmani worked steadily and safely in repairing the damaged garage, which took around two months to complete. Both the Building Inspector and the Electrical Inspector passed the work without any issues, even though the current Building Code necessitated upgrading some of the building and electrical components, which were not initially foreseen. - Having an experienced contractor was a significant benefit, particularly as the supervisor was "hands-on", and the sub-contractors worked closely with Olmani. - Some cash flow concerns were mutually and amicably resolved.

We first found Nikolai and his company HRB Home Remodeling in the summer of 2017 after searching for contractors experienced in refurbishing balconies and sundecks. In one week he and his assistant, Cristian, diligently repaired and transformed the appearance of our second floor balcony which had defied other companies' attempts (and my own efforts) over 20 years to stop leaks into the house. The balcony has become another room from which I can watch sunsets from my rocking chair! In the thick of Covid-19 constraints in early summer 2021 we needed to update old leaking plumbing in the basement laundry area and upgrade the upstairs bathroom. None of the plumbing firms I contacted could guarantee installation of a vanity and sink we'd already purchased because of additional construction work needed. Finally I went online and found that HRB Home Remodeling has experience in bathroom and kitchen renovations and new-builds. What a relief! Nikolai is a straight-talking, informative, high-quality craftsman with specialized knowledge and skills in construction, plumbing, and basic electrical work. He approaches each component of the job with intense focus and high energy. With Anton, his assistant, and other sub contractors he reconfigured and simplified the laundry area plumbing making this mundane aspect of life an elegant part our home. The upper floor bathroom has been transformed into a fully functioning 3-piece stylish haven, with a tiled shower that no longer leaks, tiled underfloor-heating, vanity and sink with simplified plumbing, and other modifications, including revitalizing a longtime leaking jacuzzi bathtub. A relatively minor but important component of the contract was to repair frequently cracked, leaking concrete steps to the main front entrance to the house, which needed know-how and innovative solutions. Nikolai maintained momentum throughout the project despite delays in supply chains due to Covid, uncertainties about prices for materials and equipment, and the last-minute unavailability of his contracted tiling expert due to covid fears. Because Nikolai communicated frequently we always felt assured that the work, schedule, and costs were under control. Nikolai is confident in his abilities to solve problems as they arise. His "can-do", determined, and cheerful approach was reassuring, and his advice to prevent future problems has been very helpful. After the project was almost complete he made a special visit to dislodge a distant blockage in the kitchen sink drain - an unpleasant task requiring vigorous effort for which we were very grateful. It's obvious that leaks have been a constant companion during our 38 years in this 80-year old house.
