My fireplace is almost 20 years old, and in the past 3-5 years, the flames have been dying out and, last year, the heat emitting from the fireplace couldn't be felt at all unless you were practically up against the glass. After two unsatisfying experiences with two other furnace companies (one of whom attempted to up-sell an entire new fireplace installation, and the other who was highly unprofessional), I finally found HeatCo. And thank god I did. My technician, Theo, was an absolute wonder. He was patient with all my questions, and took care to keep the inevitable sprawl of tools and fireplace items contained in a way that by the time he finished and packed everything up, that area of my house was immaculate. Theo went out of his way to help us fix an issue that we didn't even know we had: our gas pipe was bent so much that it was in danger of snapping, and we wouldn't have even known about it. Even though he could've ignored it (because we would have never known had he not pointed it out), he took time out of his own day to help us replace it because he was concerned about our safety. By the time he finished and he hit the switch to turn on the fireplace, the flames were as high as the first time I moved into this house. He had also repainted the background of the fireplace so everything looked like it had in my childhood. I am so grateful to him and cannot recommend him and HeatCo enough to anyone who needs any work done with their furnace. They really care about their customers. Not just about the bottom line like others. I am definitely going to ask for Theo the next time we need to do something with our furnace! My gas fireplace was failing to start and I went to Yelp to search for “fireplace repair”. I called some companies and some were not even handling fireplaces at all (not sure why then they were part of the search result) other didn’t operate on Richmond or didn’t any available date within a week. That was not the case with HeatCo: they were fast to accommodate an inspection within 2 days and yeah, they work on Richmond. The guy that came to do the inspection and fix my fireplace, Theo, was a really cool guy who managed to get it working quickly and with no fuss. He told me what the problem while fixing it and how to tackle it in the future - which I find pretty cool, to be honest. So yeah, great service, price was pretty good too, I recommend these folks.

Theo from Heatco installed my gas furnace and hot water heater. (American Standard and Rheem) Not only was the price better than quotes from other installers (including Costco recommended installers), but the service and installation were first rate. (professional, neat and efficient). Theo hooked up an accessory water pump, reattached my NEST thermostat and ensured everything was working, All this in an old house with tons of unexpected functional surprises under the old furnace and water heater. Time will tell now but I feel comfortable with Theo's track record of honest service and attention. I recommend his services.

I have to say that we ended up going with HeatCo out of complete coincidence, but based on the reviews, it was easy to go with them. Theo was friendly, and gave us a quote that he stuck to from beginning to end. He came to our place, replaced our water tank, and cleaned up afterwards. When he noticed that our water pressure caused a seal to leak, even though it was after 9pm at night, he stuck around another hour to get the job done. He is knowledgable, hard working, and will see the project through to the end. We would highly recommend Theo and Heatco to anyone who is looking for a solid, trustworthy and dependable professional.

I had heatco clean my fireplace a few months back. The two people who came were friendly. They didn't seem quite as thorough as a fireplace specific service company. Instead of cleaning the glass door with special cleaner, they borrowed my household glass cleaner and paper towels. The previous company who cleaned it had a special blanket to rest the glass door on, but none was used here. It didn't seem to make a big deal to me as they were half the price of the fireplace service company I used previously. They used my washroom and made a small mess on the floor with no mention to me. Not what you think so it wan't an upset to deal with. What was upsetting was the glass in the door, which is bolted onto the front of the fireplace, explosively shattering approximately a month after I had heatco service it. I phoned and talked with the tech who did the service. They denied improper handling of the glass due to their service caused the issue. He instead said it was likely due to age of the fireplace, which they might be correct. I did phone around and speak with various fireplace service companies. Some think it may have been due to negligence however others were unsure or also think it might be due to age of the fireplace. I'm now stuck with a bill of around $550-750 or more to replace the glass, plus increased cost of using electrical heat through the winter while I deal with my insurance company, as well as looking around for quotes for glass repair, or purchasing a new fireplace. I can't say for certain if heatco was negligent which caused the glass to shatter, but I do tend to wonder if I spent more money and got my fireplace cleaned by a fireplace service company, I might not be in this situation.

We have tried a few heating companies and so far Heatco is the best. Their price is very reasonable compare to other companies. We saved quite bit of money using their service. Their service is excellent. The technicians were very professional and knowledgeable. Also very decent and honest. We really like the fact they do not force us to pay for fixing any problem we have. They even help us getting rebates from Fortis BC. We highly recommend HeatCo.

Super impressed with the service. Called me back right away to book an appointment and kept in contact as well as came on time. He spent a long time trying to figure out the problem with my fireplace, however it ended up he didn’t have he part to fix it, so he went away to find out where to get it. After spending two hours on it, he decided he would have to get a specialist to help with it. And he didn’t even charge for the time! I really appreciated the professionalism and work to fix it.

The company sent a technician name Tohid, did his inspection for 20mins charged me $94, and his assessment was to replace pilot valve that will cost is $1000 for that part itself that take about 1week to come and a dazzling $300 on labour. On the other hand we called another tech to do an assessment and get it done right away for $500. keep your open heatco will rip yall off

I called HeatCo for hot water tank replacement. The Owner (Tohid) came to my house personally to install a brand new hot water tank. Their pricing is reasonable. He was VERY Professional and was very tidy. Before I found HeatCo, I called Milani. Milani was no where near professional and the price estimate was insane.. compared to HeatCo. Tohid also completed some job in my boiler system which was incomplete by Milani at no cost. Stay away from this company! The guy who came to my house had no idea what he was doing. My furnace was having issues running consistently. I called heatco. He called me to confirm a time, good start. Then called at noon, to postpone the time until 4pm. Arrived around 3pm. He messed around with the furnace for about 45 minutes. While he was talking to me about things, one of his jumpered wires sparked, and he blew a fuse on the furnace board. At that point, he says, 'it could be the board, or inducer fan, but I don't know', then adds, I won't charge you for the service call, but I recommend you buy a new furnace, I'll give you a good deal, $5000'. He probably didn't want to charge for the service call because he knows he damaged the furnace board and the cost was going to be high. I asked him to price out the parts for a repair, and I never heard back from him. These guys do NOT know how to repair a furnace. If you need anything beyond an air filter change, do not call these guys. Super shady.

Our water heater broke down and there was no hot water to shower or cook. We needed someone to come right away, preferably the same day, to fix it. Some other companies said they were available next week or the next day. We called Heatco Furnace and they came within 2 hours. We got a new tankless water heater and it was installed the same day! HeatCo team came to fix the work of another installer, and were prompt and courteous. The real 5-star part came a week later. They dropped by to fine-tune the system. That evening, when one of the pumps the original installer had put in misfired, one of HeatCo technician was on the phone with me at 10 at night, helping to troubleshoot the problem and fixing it. You don't get that service everywhere. If you have a Veissman boiler I can't recommend HeatCo enough

Consistently outstanding service from Theo and his team, who just installed a high efficiency boiler and tankless hot water system at my inlaws place last week and then installed a high efficiency furnace at my house yesterday. This is actually my third and fourth experience with them as they installed a tankless hot water system at my parents' place last year and another tankless hot water system at our house earlier this year. From start to finish they were courteous, friendly and they answered our many questions. They cleaned up afterwards and were respectful of our space. They even made a short re-visit after installation to check on things in response to various questions my inlaws had about their boiler. Sunday evening I realized that there was a problem with my boiler. I called heatco furnace at 7 pm and at 8:30 pm the technician knocked on my door. I explained him the problem and in less than an hour root caused the issue and fixed it. The price was reasonable for an emergency. I received fast and efficient service and I am very happy about it.
