The entire process was excellent. Jim responded quickly to our call and provided a very thorough, detailed quote. Only one other company provided a detailed quote but they were slower to respond. Two other companies did not provide a written quote and one of those didn't even bother measuring when they came for a site inspection. Jim pointed out trouble areas on our property and suggested solutions to ensure the fence would last over time. We are particularly happy with the dual swinging care gate that is made out of a combination of black aluminum tubing and cedar paneling. It matches the rest of the fence and the aluminum tubing ensures that it won't sag over time. The installer (Wade) was really great to work with. He was prompt, fast and professional. His years of experience were evident. If we need another fence in the future we would use Aim again and insist on having Wade do the work.

Beautiful decorative brick deck installation - total yard transformation. Very happy with the results from Chris and his team - we had them excavate our old soggy grassy backyard and install a brick deck this past week. The team was competent, courteous, and showed up on time when they said they would. They also kept the workspace clean and left it clean after the work was concluded. Paid attention to the little things, like bricking around our A/C which made it look even better and consistent. End result looks fantastic - highly recommend Chris and team for any deck work you need, thank you guys!!

Despite the miserable conditions, they were pleasant and professional. The job they did was top notch and they got the job done on time. I am extremely pleased to write a review and recomendation of Aim Cedar Works Ltd. The entire end to end experience with this company was fantastic! The people who work at this company are very professional, friendly, attentive, and punctual on timeline commitments. When I visited their website to request a fence quote for myself and a neighbor, I was very impressed with their quick response. I received a call later in the day by a very pleasant lady to set up a date and time for the estimator to come on site. The person who conducted the quote was Jim and he was very punctual on his arrival to perform the estimate. He was very courteous and informative in explaining options. He also explained the process timelines on where they were at in terms of existing projects. This provided me with an idea of timelines upon notifying to proceed. He also offered flexible options on invoicing as I was sharing costs with my neighbor. By the end of the day I had received a quote from Jim in my email inbox. Upon reviewing the quote and options with my neighbor, we proceeded to have Aim Cedar Works do our fence replacement. Jim was very responsive to questions and inquiries during the process which I was extremely impressed. He also provided a timeline on when they could begin which was aligned to when he came on site to perform the estimate. Aim Cedar Works was excellent in notifying me when the project would be starting as well as who would be on site and their estimated time of arrival. We had Miles and Matteo come our to remove the old fence and install the new fence. They were very professional, efficient, and friendly. Upon completion of the fence (same day project), I found their attention to detail to be great especially when it came to sizing panels to fit in more intricate areas. They were definitely well skilled in their trade. I would highly recommend Aim Cedar Works Ltd to anyone who is looking for a company who is extremely professional, does great work at a competitive price, and are very attentive to customer questions and inquiries.

Our project was a little challenging... Create a new fence on top of an old retaining wall, up a steep slope. The Aim Cedar Works Rep Jim came up with a creative solution to replace an old cinder block wall that looks FANTASTIC. The installation crew where tremendous! Very professional, courteous, and completed a quality build in two days. At one point our neighbor was yelling at them about the height of one of the posts. They very politely and patiently explained the process to our neighbor and resolved the issue quickly. Thanks guys for a great job!

*Edit - I wrote an initial review and rated the company quite low because I felt it reflected the quality of work and service we received. We paid for the invoice and chalked it up to a very expensive learning lesson for us. However, our contact (Chris) reached out and surprised us by fixing all of the issues we had at no extra charge. I want to point out that the bill was paid already and they had absolutely no need to come back to us. This speaks volumes to their professionalism and genuine desire to ensure customer satisfaction. If not for the quality of work, I would recommend them for their sheer professionalism and ease to work with. I would have given them higher marks if they had gotten the work done right the first time. In short, Aim Cedar works was referred to us by Home Depot as their contractor and source for fencing and landscaping. We wanted to use our Home Depot cards to take advantage of the no interest promotion. The work we had done included: Horizontal cedar fence installation, aluminum sliding gate installation, landscaping which involved filling the entire yard with road base and grading. There were some issues with the quality of the fence initially but our contact Jim worked with us to get it fixed. The fence installer decided to align the fence with the fence line of our neighbors which resulted in a fence that did not run parallel with the side walk. Initially, Jim offered to pull all the posts back up and realign but I opted to leave the fence as is in exchange for having the top rails (which weren't included) instead. The aluminum sliding gate was installed without any issues and we extremely satisfied with the speed of the install and quality of the gate. The landscaping should have been a very straight forward job of grading and laying down road base but the first round of work was unsatisfactory so I called Chris immediately. He inspected the work and informed me that they would be back to correct the work. During the second round of work, they did a better job of grading the yard but decided to lay down a different color of road base. Chris explained that road base is usually not a finishing product and the landscapers probably didn't think twice to lay down a different color road base. There was some back and forth and eventually Chris provided a solution which was to cover the area with gravel on top of the road base which we would have to pay for. We did not want to pay to fix an error that was made because of the landscapers assumption so we signed off on the work and decided to chalk it up to an expensive lesson learned. In the end, Chris came back to us, offered us a sincere apology on the assumption and surprised us by fixing our yard at no extra charge.

The carpentry crew were very professional - they were so careful with everything on the property that they had to temporarily move or work around and all the crews left everything spotless after they finished up. AIM replied quickly to my request for a quote to install a new cedar fence, and gate, sent a person to view the site the next day and came to install exactly as stated. The installation crew, Wade and Gordon, arrived at the start of the day and worked non-stop, completing the removal and new install in one day. They were personable and professional, bringing the skills to build an excellent fence, including trouble shooting the complication of anchoring one end. The fence is beautiful. The work site was left super neat. The neighbour we share the fence with is very happy too.

Our experience using AIM Cedar Works to replace our old backyard fence was outstanding. Right from the start, Jim and his team were very professional and in constant contact with us. Jim was friendly, knowledgeable and honest. His quote for our job was very fair, far less than 2 other quotes we received for the same work. AIM had been recommended by a colleague who had them build his fence. So normal alarms when a quote is that much lower did not bother me given the high praise from my colleague. Despite shortages of wood, AIM found a way to get our job done. We're thrilled with the end result and would not hesitate to recommend AIM Cedar Works. If you're in need of a fence, look no further. For sure I'll call Jim and AIM Cedar Works again when I need fence work done.

The installation crew was friendly and took time to ensure we were not put out by the work. The finished product looks great and better than we hoped. I hired Aim Cedar Works in March to build a modern smooth fence to match my existing fence, creating facade to cover my neighbours wall. I asked Jim to match the existing fence and showed him a magazine photo of a similar fence as an example of what I was looking for I a finished product. When the installer arrived I also showed him the front fence and said this is what we are matching. Once the fence was built I was surprised to see that the wood was extremely textured. I asked Jim about the quality of the cedar as it was very rough. He confirmed it was the same as my front fence. I paid for it accepting that I must have just gotten a bad batch of lumber. A few weeks later I was removing the clear stain from my front fence and realized there is a rough and a smooth side to the cedar boards. I inspected the Aim fence and saw they installed the smooth side facing my neighbours wall. I immediately called Jim to make him aware that the fencing should have been installed with the smooth side facing out. I was told we always put the rough side forward. I reminded him that Aim was supposed to match my existing fence with the smooth side facing out and received no response to this. After repeated emails asking Jim and Aim what we could do to resolve this problem, I have received no calls from anyone at Aim, or an offer of how we might resolve this significant design flaw. I was completely disappointed with my experience with Aim Cedar Works. If you care about quality, customer service, a company that cares and has an eye for detail with their craftsmanship and lumber I suggest you hire someone else.

AIM fixed our fence which was done extremely poor by a contractor. AIM replaced all posts and brackets for our fence. Jim and his team are very professional, gave good advice, came and finished the job on schedule. Very happy with AIM, will definitely use them again.

Chris Lang was excellent to work with. Easy to reach and a great listener. I wanted to build a Trek deck over my 6’ x 9’ koi pond for years and had no idea how to do it. Chris had some great ideas and within a week or so, it was completed. The crew were very experienced and professional. The only hiccup was plastic debris in the pond from cutting the trek decking in situ. However with further cuts, we caught the debris in a bucket. Phew! The 16’ x 12’ deck looks great and we even have a secret 2’x3’ hatch to get into the pond for future repairs. For two days of work it was a bit expensive, but “you pay what you get” as they say and we were not disappointed. I would highly recommend them.

Don't Trust these guys , As soon as they get their money they are gone . Story short ; uncompleted fence , panel felt after 5 months , call them and left them several massage , No answer ! , Blocked my caller ID , called the guy , he picked up the phone on the first ring !! told about the issue he said will take care of it , 2 weeks later nothing happend , fixed the panel myself ! (Take my advise Don't pay them before you inspect the work yourself and keep some money as a security , if you want them to answer your call ) . I don't recommend them .
