After interviewing many companies to renovate and add an addition to our home, we decided to go with MARCON. Our first point of contact was Mark. From our initial meeting, it was readily apparent that they had extensive experience with renovations and additions. On the spot, Mark was able to suggest designs for the addition. Having lived in the home for 6 months now, not only is the layout fantastic, but it saved us the additional cost of an architect or a CAD design. Once the renovation began, David was the supervisor of the project. I have only good things to say about him. He was always available to talk and gave us great advice on design elements. When renovating an entire home, it is incredible the number of details that need to be considered. Moreover, David always addressed any concerns we had in a timely fashion. Regarding the trades that worked on the home, Jeff and Andre did the demolition and framing of the second story. They were both great and had thoughtful input into the design. Their ideas are things that my wife and I would’ve never considered and improved the overall final layout. You could not meet a nicer guy than the electrician Gary. He had great input into the lighting and electrical amenities and was always available to discuss any concerns. The same thing can be said about the painter Sean. Simply put, the trades that worked on the house did a great job and they were nice people. When COVID struck, the renovation was almost finished but we were still out of the home. It was incredibly stressful for our family, but MARCON handled it well. When it was determined that they could finish up the work, according to the government guidelines, they put all their energy into finishing the renovation as quickly as possible so we could move back in. Finally, the owner Brian was fantastic to deal with. As with David, he was there when we needed to talk or discuss an issue. I have no hesitation recommending MARCON, their pricing is competitive, the work is great, and the people are awesome. We are so happy to have our vision come to life.

Approximately 18 yrs. ago we worked with Marcon to have our basement finished. We were very happy with the construction process and the end result so when we decided to renovate our main floor, we went with Marcon Construction again. We wanted to open the wall between our dining room and kitchen and renovate our kitchen and replace all the flooring on our main floor. Mark was our first contact and as usual was very helpful with the initial planning phase. The carpenters were very thorough and even though the engineer had signed off on the plans to remove and support the load bearing walls, they did a prework inspection to ensure that what they were doing would provide the support required. Thanks also to the carpenters who suggested taking out the archway between our dining room and living room- we are pleased with our open space! Everyone from the Marcon staff to the contractors that work with Marcon were respectful and helpful and we knew that they wanted us to be happy with our finished project. There was a delay that possibly could have been avoided if the flooring contractor had come to measure our space in a timelier manner. However, in the end we got the flooring we wanted, and it looks wonderful. It’s amazing we didn’t have more delays considering our work was done during the pandemic. Marcon’s employees and the contractors have been working with Marcon for a long time and it was nice to see familiar faces again. Our project included carpenters, drywallers, electricians, plumbers, h-vac technicians, flooring and tile installers, cabinet installers and painters who were all coordinated by our Marcon site supervisor. Brian, the owner was readily available but it was usually not necessary to contact him as David and Rick the site supervisors were easy to contact when any concerns arose during our project. City inspections were arranged and completed in a timely manner. It’s nice to see that since our last construction there is support for women in the trades- kudos to the female electricians. With everything completed we feel that we are living in a new home – our main floor renovation is wonderful. Everyone has been extremely helpful and responsive to some issues or changes that needed to be done along the way. Thanks again for a great job!

We contacted Mark 2011 to explore the idea and cost of an addition. I should say he was prompt, attended a few meetings, with drawing and changes. As it sounded might take 4-6 mths we became apprehensive regarding timing and cost for sure - so we elected to posponed and take care of other projects that were more priorities at that time. As we are now ready to go ahead with the addition, we were advised to have a second and a third quote, which unfortunately we did and realised how generous Marcon was with his time and free drawing. Other out there, were not honest (I wish I can stay more than that), we contacted one who is claiming a big company too, and we knew a family member, we made the assumption he will be honest!! we were upfront with the budget that we can afford, he confidently stated of course seems very reasonable, so we went ahead to get him to do drawing, which he charged $1500 to be deducted when going ahead with the project and since we were reday to go, we paid, he came up with a plan that can reflect one thing: he was not listening, and the budget was 2 times (which he knew out of zone completely) - now we realize that he makes his little lazy cash by tricking clients, coming up with double the budget so you dont go ahead with, kill your dream, but he secured his $1500! so be careful with these ones around (presumed to be big name by the way). This made us realise how honest and good customer service Mark was when he gave his time, drawing with no charge. We plan to contact him for our project. will keep you posted :-)

Right from the first meeting to the completion of the project everyone was very friendly, professional and responsive. I wouldn't trust anyone else to work on our home.

I wish I could post a photo. In 2029 May they did a job in Roseland and buried two trees that were huge and very mature with a huge mount of dirt! No doubt that when you drive by in three years they will be dead. Ignorance? Or belligerence? Maybe this is their first job? Get someone who has more care for nature to quote your job.
