The guy who came out was transparent and showed us the parts that had been removed and where the problem was. I would give 2.5 stars, but that's not an option. PROS 1) Came out quickly after a wind storm 2) Roof looks like it should when done 3) Added roof vents where needed 4) Customer service rep was pleasant and seemed to care 5) They gave us free leaf guards when everything described in cons below was brought to their attention (although, should I have to bring these to their attention for them to care?) CONS 1) They came to tarp the roof for $1400. $2100 if they did it the day before, and $600 the next week. Larceny. Should not take advantage of people in need, and the price should be the same regardless. Good thing for insurance. 2) We were told they would call us is a few weeks to pick the colour of shingles, and roof would be installed within 4 weeks. After 5 weeks not hearing anything, we called to ask when they would do the roof. They said "any time, we are just waiting on you to pick the shingles colour". What? wait? You said you'd call us to pick. Either way, they came to do the roof within the week, so 6 weeks after original date 3) We asked several times for them to take pictures of the roof damage before redoing it. Despite promises on three occassions (inspection, tarping, then install) we never had any photos taken by their crew. 4) Upon installion, we had not approved a new skylight and asked them to call of a new one was needed if the old one was damaged. They did not call, yet installed the new skylight anyways and then charged us for it. Good thing for insurance, and a good insurance company. 5) They left the place a mess. I will be taking nails out of my feet for years in my back lawn....and that is after picking up at least 150 nails. Pictures only do part justice. We had them come back to clean up a few days later with a magnet, and we still cleaned up 200+ nails after that. Overall, since customer service seems good, I am going to assume my 25 year warranty will be taken care of. However I would suggest that the owners of this company take more pride in their hiring and/or training of their crews to ensure there are no issues on install. The mess was the biggest one for us.

The roofing team lead by Derek was fantastic, they arrived on time and they were courteous at all times. Derek, asked and confirmed the options for the repair of my roof. The job looked great and the clean-up was better then anyone completed for me in the past. 12 out of 10 for sure.. The window installers completed the work ontime with professionalism. Our favourite tradesman was Barry for sure; he completed the siding with skill and expertise. I enjoyed the fact that he took his time and was very quality focused another 12 out of 10 for sure.

They were quick to respond to my call for a new roof. The timeline was what they said it would be. My problem is when I had a issue with objects they left dangling from my roof. I called them 5 times about it. They said they would be out to take care of it. No one showed up. One of my neighbors was getting their roof done, so I asked the roofers there if they wouldn't mind fixing it for me. They were kind enough to come over, for free and fix it.

The sales man showed up 30 minutes early. We were up front about getting several quotes for the roof from many companies and deciding from there. The sales man was extremely negative. He wanted to know if we had saved up enough for this, and if we had money “hidden in the garage”. He kept saying that they would certainly not be the cheapest option. He spent a LOT of his time tearing down other companies: their products, their workmanship, their business plans. He was our 6th and final quote, and I hadn’t seen behaviour like this with the other companies. He said that we, as home owners, didn’t have the ability to decide between companies based on information provided on roofing work, that we were only capable of deciding based on price. He then said he would not give us a quote unless we said we were considering the company seriously....that we could afford them. I mentioned that my system to make decisions involves a spread sheet where I compare price along with other factors including: community reputation, amount of time in business, ratings/reviews, warranty, products used (including independent research), etc. That I am really good at research and capable of processing and understanding the information I read. I reiterated that without a quote, we couldn’t consider his company at all because I would have no details/facts to put into my spreadsheet to compare. That was when he turned nasty and said “I know exactly what you are doing. You are going to steal our process and ideas and show them to other companies to get a better price”. I was shocked. My mouth literally hung open. The thought had never even crossed my mind. I told him so. Again, without a quote how on Earth can we make an informed decision? He repeated again and again that he has been in the business a long time and “knew” what I was doing. I started to cry and asked him to leave. Never in my life have I had a person show up to give me a quote and attack my character with such persistent and arrogant venom. It honestly felt surreal. I can’t speak to the workmanship of this company as we will NEVER hire them to do our roof. But their salesman was beyond rude, and a very poor choice to represent the company. So bad, I have left this review, and I never leave reviews. Zero stars.

We had our gutters replaced. Trish our sales rep was very polite and knowledgeable. The installers were also great. Friendly and professional, they completed the job fast and so far it looks like the job was done right. Had a problem with communication of installation. We put a down payment in mid December and was told it would be about 5 weeks before they could complete the work. I understand that they close for 3 weeks during christmas but I did not hear anything until late January. An email said the work would get done in the first week of February.(that never happened). Then got a message that they would be here on March 1st(that did not happen) finally got a call from Sebastian who told me he was the new project manager and the installers would be coming on Saturday March 7th and the work was completed. Once Sebastian took over the communication was perfect. Hopefully he fixes the problems.

Requested a quote to re-shingle my 640 sq ft garage. Sales guy called back and confirmed the job with Google maps (no site visit). Quoted me $6,000 for the job on the phone. I priced the materials at full retail from Home Depot for $1,402.00. I contacted another contractor and had the work completed for less than half of the D’angelo quote. Price gouging in full effect. Would not recommend.

After paying $7500 for a roof -Nails all over the ground (no one used a magnet). I had to go buy one to clean up myself as I have a young child and couldn’t leave it - all of my chairs and table left laying all over the place and full of granules -bags in my garden -I was sold black flashing around my chimney. Only part of it had flashing at all (old looking galvanized) and the rest of the chimney was only left with ice and water shield as the only means of sealing it. This was left clearly unsealed - guys were throwing bundles of shingles so hard on the roof that I now have a crack In my ceiling that I have to fix Not impressed. Won’t be recommending d’angelo to anyone

On Saturday during the wind storm our fascias was damaged at the back of the house, It was literally hanging & banging against the shingles. Our roof is very steep so it was impossible for us to go on the roof. We were very concerned the fascias would break away & land in the pool & damage our liner. Monday morning, I called D'angelo & spoke with Taylor Thorne & within a few hours she arranged for Dave Vandenberg to come & review the damage. Dave was very efficient & was on the steep roof & removed the damaged fascias. They promised a quick repair. By Tuesday afternoon, Gary was here & did a great job. I had a small leak in my roof, near the skylight. This was the first company out of 4 that I tried to actually pick up the phone, and the person I spoke to was friendly and helpful. They did expect payment before the repair service was done, and the flat rate for the repair was quite high for the time they spent, but the contractor who came was knowledgeable and seems to have fixed the issue without the need for a new roof...so I can't complain too much.

We had three companies quote the replacement of our roof. Although D'Angelo were marginally more expensive (within 2%) we chose them due to the very high level of professionalism shown by Steven Hall. He led us through the entire process carefully explaining not only their procedure but discussing various materials and their respective F & B's. The work was scheduled and completed within the time frame allotted by a work crew who were very professional and who cleaned up the job site each evening before leaving. Our project manager Carlos was available at all times and followed up after completion to ensure our satisfaction. We highly recommend D'Angelo and Sons.
