Toshack was contracted as our heating/plumbing contractor on a full house renovation. From taking the time to explain every aspect of the job in great detail, to presenting us with a range of furnace and A/C solutions with the cost v.s. benefits of each model, allowed us to make an educated decision that fit our budget. The install team from plumbers, tin smiths, furnace techician, apprentices were simply top notch! They addressed every single question we had ( there were many) courteously, professionally and rapidly. They explained reasoning for various design elements and were extremely cognizant in working around and helping us maintain our various design elements. We would recommend this company to anyone who want a job, big or small, done right!

Never again! Where do I start? They came to install all new basement plumbing. They plumbed my pump in wrong and water would shoot out my kitchen sink. They came to "Fix" it and admitted the job was really done crappy. But then decided to add 11 elbows to "correct" the issue. Now? That pump is dead because of the 20ft of pipe that needed to be there had the wrong slope on it so the pump has to push up 8ft after passing 5 elbows and then across 3 ft into 3 elbows and across 18ft to push up 6" and then over and down using a few elbows in the process...the pump has to be on for 10 minutes straight to pump one squirt of water to the main drain line. That pump is dead. When contacted about this you get ignored knowing it is a warranty job and the job is very shoddily done to begin with. I should also mention it hasn't even been a year yet. Make sure to read all reviews before choosing these people. **USE THIS COMPANY WITH EXTREME CAUTION** EDIT: A different company came in and was able to warranty the pump thru Noble Trade using the serial number. This company that fixed ALL of the plumbing and ran proper venting and a check valve that was originally required and Toshack did not install. The plumbing now works flawlessly and you cannot even hear the pump running at all and before you could probably hear it pumping from the neighbors since it was done wrong and the resistance was causing it to over work. And not to mention the rest of the plumbing with the water draining in the wrong direction. And duct tape was found wrapped around a pipe that was under my laundry sink. The picture is of toshacks work not of anyone else since they completely ran all new drains so the duct tape was done less than a year ago and not touched by anyone else. Shame on them. ... EDIT: They responded that this claim is unbelieveable. Anyone wants pictures and proof they did this work for Marc L. Contact me. I am not a fake profile. I am infact a local guide and Toshack really messed up my basement plumbing.

Had a new fireplace and AC unit installed by them. Ended up having problems with both. Called them to inspect both since this is a warranty issue. They came to look at fireplace and said all is fine then sent a bill for a service call. The fireplace was not fine. The fireplace manufacturer suggested I call two other certified companies to get their opinion on the installation. It was installed incorrectly as per 2 other companies and one of them put a red tag on it due to improper gas pipe installation (not per code). I had to spend close to $2000 to remedy this issue. Toshack then asked me to pay them for their visit claiming everything was fine. Now they refuse to come look at their little over 1 year old Air conditioner unit that has mechanical and installation issues. I guess we have no choice but to seek damages legally.

I’m very satisfied and pleased with the preventative seasonal and repair maintenance. The service people are very friendly, efficient and professional. Last December our furnace was repaired in a timely fashion ‘completely’ under warrantee! The same service person recently returned to complete annual maintenance on the furnace. He was very friendly, professional and courteous conducting himself conscientiously, exercising appropriate hand hygiene.

They installed a high efficiency propane furnace in our new home. Everything went well until they installed the pvc pipe venting to the outside. The pipes were an ugly mess on the outside of the house and we asked for changes. They refused because they did not want to pay for an extra piece of vinyl siding to replace the original one. After Toshack stonewalled our request for a week or more we became very upset so our general contractor stepped in and paid for the extra siding so that the change could be made. For a cost of $40, Toshack heating gave us the most aggravation and stress of the entire construction process. If they had been upfront about their concern over the cost of the siding, I would have told them to proceed with the change and that I would cover the cost of the siding. Instead they refused to make the changes with deadlines looming over the propane hookup, inspections and other requirements. They will never get my business again.

My boss received a quote from your competitors and when I showed him my installation invoice for the same tank type and size he was dumb founded. Terrible service, definitely would not recommend. I had one of my pipe fixed two months ago, two technician came in spend 3 minutes in total and left. I was not told the price at the time when I asked, and end up receiving a bill of $150. The work was poorly done, and the pipe was broken two months later. When I called up the company, I was told the warranty for their work is only 30 days, which pretty much implies if you have anything fixed by them, expect it to last about a month.

This was the third installation by very qualified Toshack installers, the first our propane coversion from electric infloor heating system, the second, the heater in our new carriage house and the third, the air conditioning system replacing our very aged window air conditioner. They also do the annual servicing of our propane fireplace with excellent results. We are anticipating their return for the hook-up to our future outdoor propane fireplace. We highly recommend Bob Barkley, Home Comfort Specialist and the rest of the installers at Toshack, who, and it is obvious, take extreme pride in what they do and the most polite way in which they do it! Possibly the worst customer support experience I have ever encountered. Had a furnace not working and called Toshack. The response was adequate by the technician to look at the furnace, however, they needed to order parts. They told us the parts should be in within 2 business days. On the second business day I called Toshack and inquired about the parts. The person I talked to said the person who orders the parts (apparently one of the owners of the company) was not in but she would have him call me back that same afternoon. He did not call me back. The same thing happened on the third day - I called in the morning and got the same message that the parts guy would call me back. Again, did not happen. Same thing on the fourth day. I called on the fifth day and the person (still not the parts ordering guy) told me the parts would be in sometime that day. I asked why I had not been called back as promised over the past three days... this turned into an argument. They refused to tell me who the owner of the company was (said they did not give out that information) and then told me they did not like the tone of my voice (after I started asking questions like who the owner was and did they actually pass my messages on) and then they hung up on me. I have told them not to come to my property ever again. I recommend avoid this company. Too bad, I like to support local business, however, Toshack is one that I will not.

I was referred to Toschack Service and Maintenance Corp by Jason Gravel our Home Inspector and I am so glad I made the call to this company. I originally hired another company back in April but when they could not complete the job in a timely fashion, I called ToShack and spoke with Paul who is an amazing,. helpful and knowledgeable person. Paul came to our house and took pictures, explained our options and was was so helpful for us to make our decision on which gas furnace we should have installed. Paul also called Embridge and had their crew in to complete the installation. Paul's crew completed installing our new Gas Furnace within in a couple of weeks. They removed our 55 year old oil furnace and oil tank within a couple of weeks . Toshack's crew are amazing, meticulous, polite and efficient and explained everything that they where doing. The crew completed the job in one day and there was no mess left and lifting out the old furnace and oil tank was not an easy task! Hats off to the crew. We would recommend this company 100% and Thank you to everyone at ToShack for all your help!

Had a propane furnace and water heater installed moving from oil to propane. The installation was done in 1 day by the technicians. The service was professional and the technicians very courteous. I had 2 small problems days after installation mostly from my not being familiar with the system. The service technicians Mark- heating and Josh- plumbing were at my home within 2 hrs and fixed the problem quickly. The service was excellent from Bob coming out to assess the best system for me, the front desk staff Chelsea and Trish, to the service technicians who installed and service my equipment. It was late on a hot Friday afternoon in July when the ductless AC started spewing water inside the house. I called and left a message and went online and left a message, expecting everyone had gone home and cracked open their first weekend cold one. Lo and behold, Hugh called back and said Brett was on his way! In no time, the problem was solved and Toshack left us feeling comfy and happy for the rest of the heat wave! I have full confidence that this unit will take care of us this winter as well and, if not, Toshack will make sure that it does!

For all interactions including sales and accounting the company's employees consistently displayed the three P's I look for: professional, punctual and particular about completing the job correctly. Toshack is also the local distributor for the Lennox brand of equipment that I prefer because of its reliability and high efficiency. The great benefits of utilizing Toshack's services are very obvious this winter!

Horrible customer service, new to the area and just bought a house, their stickers were all over the existing equipment so I figured I would have them service all the gas appliances in the house. Called booked an appointment for 3 weeks in advance for 2:00 pm in the afternoon. The tech calls at 8:00 am looking for the house, I told him the appointment was for 2, he said no problem I'll go to my next appointment first and then show up. I take a half day off work for them not to bother showing up or calling ahead of time to rebook. If this is the way they treat new customers then I don't want them in my house

Terrible service. Charged me an arm and a leg for an estimate (which cost them in the end because I was so unimpressed I purchased my new furnace from someone else). Unreliable, had to call them multiple times to even get the estimate! The only thing they were quick about was charging my credit card for their "visit".

Good luck receiving any sort of call or confirmation back from them if you need a quote or repair on work they did in the past. My plumbing did not even last 2 years before the entire hot water tank needed to be resoldered and half of it completely redone. The black plastic piping was draining the wrong way. Good luck if you ever need something done by them. You have been warned.. It's your own fault if you use this shoddy company.
