Extremely poor workmanship after appraisal - I keep finding things that were completed sloppily and which will require further work to repair. They were also very difficult to get through to and slow to complete the work. Some of the damage during our flood had been to areas I renovated last year - the difference between my work and theirs is very noticeable. They just don't care.

Absolutely horrible service. We had a fire in March, and FirstonSite is who our insurance deals with... We have gone months now with no work done, and no answers from them. After my issuance agent escalated the issue to management they worked 1 day, and now we are back to not returning phone calls.

About 10 houses on our street were affected with sewer back up. First on site was the first responder of the 10 houses. They were at our home in the afternoon to clean up the mess. The also are doing the restauration, the crew that they sent (sub contractor) Francis Heslop and crew did a fantastic job, very meticulous. Should be completed finish by the end of the week, minor details to complete. Would definitely recommend them

We hired First on site to replace our roof after some severe wind damage. I found the entire experience dealing with them to be unnecessarily frustrating. Once my deposit was paid, the job that was supposed to take 2-3 weeks dragged out over 2 months with no communication about what was going to happen or when. The person managing the project never once came out to our house to inspect the job, or called to provide any updates or details. When the roofers actually came to replace the roof he told them not to do portions of the roof that we're approved to be replace. Don't waste your money, time or patience trying to deal with this company. Would give zero stars if I could.

Very hard to reach once project has begun. Left muddy footprints and garbage behind in apartment. Overlooked details in the restoration. They do not make you feel like your property is their priority at any time AFTER their first assessment. I would NOT recommend under any circumstances.

After a basement flood, my insurance company recommended FirstOnSite Restoration, and I am so glad they did! Our floors look impeccable, and all the workers who assisted in the process were kind, hardworking, and efficient! The communication with this company was constant and ongoing from start to finish. Whenever I had questions, they would always get back to me and followed through when they gave me a designated time to work on my floors. I am so happy with the outcome and would highly recommend this company!! Rest be assured, if I ever need other work done, FirstOnSite would be the first company I call!!

Management of the restoration project was well handled. Just like to thank Victoria, who kept in touch with us and provided an accurate schedule of what needed to be done and when it would be done. The analysis and repairs were done very professionally and we had no problems with any part of the restoration and repairs. All the staff were cordial, particularly Shannon, who was very approachable and let us know when he would be on-site and was punctual. Overall great job.

An outdoor Hot Tub Electrical Fire caused extensive smoke damage to the majority of our house interior requiring a major rebuild. Under difficult circumstances (Covid -19 Pandemic restrictions), First Onsite completed a professional rebuild in a reasonable time frame. With any rebuild, you generally get subcontract tradesmen (e.g. Protrades) to do the bulk of the work. The difference with First Onsite is their "Core Group" of supervisors and trades people who manage and execute the details with an eye to quality and a professionalism in completing the "custom work" - making a house a home again. First Onsite's Francis Savard managed our project and we are grateful for him and his team working when they could through a difficult period - at times, the work was being restricted due to Covid-19 protocols. In the end, and with a lot of patience, we got a solid rebuild thanks to First Onsite.

I was very pleased with the service, Our son was living in out home and we are living in Ontario, they were very quick to respond and very helpful. They communicated with both myself and our son on all matters. Would recommend them for anyone.

First on Site did work in my apartment, I asked twice for them to clean up the drywall dust which was all over my stove, range hood, Keurig and fridge. The superintendent said her and an employee from First on Site walked through and agreed that everything was cleaned, all they did was dust off the drywall dust from the stove burners, everything else was still full of drywall dust, extremely disappointed in First on Site as they always cleaned up after they were done the work.

Wish there was a zero to choose from but since there isn't I had to unfortunately give this company 1 star .. beware do your research first before using this company ... they rush and do a very shoddy job very poor workmanship and to top it all off they lose some of your items...at least in my case...items I will never be able to replace or ever get back. Beware !!

They have been really assuring through this entire process, and very thorough. They've even explained in detail what all of the equipment does and how it works, and their process. I've experience nothing but prompt work and daily followups considering our province got slammed by a hurricane, and I am certain they are working overtime to get to see everyone.

This marks the second time in the last two weeks that a firstonsite truck has almost caused an accident with my car in Halifax. After 12+hr of freezing rain, a pickup just pulled out in front of a line of traffic heading into the cogswell roundabout and I had to slam on my brakes to avoid smashing into his passenger side, and hit the curb doing so. No response from the office phone or the 1888 customer service line aside from "I'm sorry that happened to you." I drive the same route every few days and almost always see these trucks ripping around the corner onto cogwell / pulling halfway into the rotary to stop traffic and make themselves a spot. They need to train their drivers before someone gets in a serious accident.

Left the basement a mess, I spent 2 days cleaning out furniture that they left down there after a flood. They ruined a custom cupboard, with a tile finish. And they sat around and did nothing for most of a day. Me and my buddy did a better job than their 6 man crew.

Our experience with First Onsite was very positive and professional. Dealing with Spencer in the Dartmouth Nova Scotia office was smooth. He was on top of every detail and communicated everything to us every step of the way...having him guide us through the process made it a lot less painful!

Even one is high for them. When we had to vacate our apartment for the construction, they said you can put your stuff in your bedroom.We trust them but when we moved back to our apartment, some of my stuff were lost or stolen. They just say no it is not possible but it happened. They didn't answer clearly and just say OK, sorry. I want my stuff back without any excuse. Terrible experience with them. It was my kid's toy in the bedroom.

over the holidays we had a pretty bad floor. both our insurance adjuster and the PM from 1st on Site was terrific. They both took the time to explain what exactly was going to happen starting from A to Z. Each crew that showed up to my house was beyond friendly and empathetic to our situation. The each took the time to explain what part they will be responsible for. Dave, Janika and Billie were amazing to work with, i highly recommend.
