Initial Contact

Incredible service. The staff was incredibly helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. I was in the market for a guitar to use specifically for drop tuning. They heard my needs, showed me a variety of options, and put no pressure on me to buy anything. When I finally did buy one from them a week later they set me up with a free case, new strings better suited to drop tuning, and some picks, all without me asking (which was a pleasant discovery when I reached the till.) They even identified a problem with my current guitar's bridge setup just from description. A wonderful shopping experience that has made me a loyal customer.

Excellent customer service! I've done a lot of business with them, and they will go above and beyond to make sure that you are happy. Their prices match or beat the big box stores, I trust them over anyone with fixing my gear, and they actually care about their individual customers. Always my first stop when I need gear.

This is the only music store in brandon(my opinion) the people who work there are friendly and helpfull,they stand behind their products and honor their waranty fully.I've bought a quite a few instruments from there and will not go anywhere else.i did go to the other store in brandon the employees were rude and not helpfull at all and mocked my skill level so dissapointed

I love this place. I've been here several times and have found the customer service to be exceptional. The selection is pretty decent for a small city store. They carry quality equipment and they their stuff. They don't carry much or seem to have a lot of experience when it comes to recording equipment/techniques, but that isnt uncommon in a town the size of Brandon. All of the stores in this city tend to carry very beginner-level equipment when it comes to the studio end, however that is likely due to the fact that there is not a large enough market in the area to really warrant more attention on the recording side. However, they do an excellent job when it comes to live sound, jamming, practice etc. They have very reasonable prices. Anytime i've asked them for a price and compared it to the prices for stores in Winnipeg, the prices are the exact same, down to the penny. I am not sure why some people say that "the man behind the counter is condescending". I have had experience with several of the people who work there and all have been nothing but helpful to me. They havent minded me just coming in to talk about gear, and ask questions. They tried their best to help me find a cable that they dont carry by giving me suggestions for other places in town, they've given me great tips. This store is absolutely excellent. I'm giving them a 4 star review only because I have been to some places in Toronto, Winnipeg, and others that have a larger selection. But in the context of Brandon they are definitely a 5 star store.

I have been a customer of TGM since the very early '80s and have found them to be professional, price-competitive, knowledgeable... all the things one looks for in a good business. I have spent thousands in this store and will continue to make them my first stop when looking for equipment, instruments, accessories, tools, lessons or advice.

Mike is always a pleasure to deal with. However, when I returned my rented equipment this morning, there was apparently no record of my payment (even though I have proof of purchase). I was then questioned as to whether or not I paid, which was unnecessary. There should have been some record on their system...Apart from this, I will continue to patronize the store.

Bad experience in this store. I told them to set up my guitar like the action of the guitar is to high, intonation etc. but they just changed my strings. Like what? I know my guitar very well, they didn't even wipe it for dust. I was expecting a good service but it turned out bad. I paid just for changing string. sucks!

Always great service! There was a bump in service with one repair but nothing they were not willing to correct with a small discount and continue d better service. They have a number of excellent connections in the community to get all your musical instruments repaired. One of the best music shops I've been to In the last 22 years. Brandon and surrounding area are very lucky to have Ted Good music's service.

Great experience here. I went to the competition first on my way to see my cousin. The guy there barely acknowledged me and didn't ask if I needed help. I thought well ok cie la vie. I ended up at Ted Good Music. I met Mike and we got chatting well I ended up spending + 700 buying a starter set up for a friend of mine in Saskatoon. I know it wasn't a ton of money. I have 4 of my own. Point is I may very well buy another L.P. in the future. Thanks again Mike cudos to you man, appreciate the time and effort.
