Tactic Roofing Inc. was among a couple of companies that came up on my google search of high rated roofers. I prefer to pay for value not necessarily low price as the latter usually results in shoddy work performed by companies that close shop at time of warranty call. It is understandable that most homeowners don’t consider this and go with low price which is ok until you have to call the company again for a bad job within the warranty period only to find out the company has closed down. Also to offer such low prices could mean that the company does not employ properly trained workers and may not be licensed, insured and provide WSIB for employees. I decided to engage Tactic Roofing as my experience dealing with both Reza and Afshin was great from the initial phone call to completion. Everything was explained to me in detail in person by Reza when proving quote and after the work was done Afshin gave me a good explanation with pics of my roof showing the various areas we discussed such as valleys, turbine vent, eves guard, flashing etc. There was no pressure or up-selling tactic [no pun intended :-)...] used through the entire process though everything was explained with pros and cons and the decision was left to me. Hopefully I don’t have to call them for any post installation issues but am sure if I do need to they will be around and happy to resolve the situation with the 10 year workmanship warranty. ---------------------------------------------------- When I wrote my first review (August 2019 above) on Tactic Roofing I was not expecting to write another review less than two years later (June 30, 2021) and that too regarding a ceiling leak after heavy rain. On noticing the leak yesterday late afternoon following heavy rain, I was disappointed as it was under two years since the new roof was installed but at the same time knowing that we selected Tactic Roofing I was confident we would be taken care of quickly. I emailed Afshin (Tactic Roofing owner) yesterday evening and he replied promptly that he would come over today morning. He did and spent over 1.5 hr. at our home today morning which involved a number of visits on the roof to inspect and apply calking (not needed but to reinforce) and quite a bit of time discussing the matter with me so I would be completely satisfied. Apparently the roof is still in good conditions (still looks as good as new he says) and the leak may be the result of unusual factors caused by combination of wind conditions and heavy downpours. He thinks the problem will likely not recur but if it does, to give him a call and we can try to address the possible causes (exhaust vent type and plumbing vent). I am glad we chose to go with Tactic Roofing as you cannot replace the peace of mind that comes with using a trusted and reliable contractor as you know they will be there when you need them. This review should have been posted earlier when Afshin and his crew members installed new roof at our house that we bought in Oakville last year. But, it's never too late, I guess! The entire process from getting the quote to the job completion was seamless. I sent him a query through his website and within a day or two, Afshin contacted me. On the day of meeting, he showed up on time and provided me with a detailed quote explaining little nuances. He was open to working around my requirements as I wanted a specific brand of shingles, full underlayment on the entire roof, metal ridge vents, same brand ridge shingles as the roof shingles(vs. generic), open channels etc. The weather was cooperative on the day of installation and Afshin showed up with his crew at 7AM. The crew starting taking off the shingles and new materials arrived at around 9AM. The waste bin was delivered the night before. My roof was installed in a day. It was pretty much uneventful. The crew was respectable of neighbors and cleaned up well after the installation was over. All in all, I had a great experience working with Afshin and his crew. I would highly recommend his company to anyone looking for a professional roofer!

I wanted someone from this company go on the roof of my house and check on the shingles for some wind damage We met the owner and explained situation and agreed on a price if any repair is to done. Since we were leaving for vacation we could not wait around. However, he agreed to do the job and leave the invoice in our mail box. On return we checked for the invoice and found none. A few days later l called and I was told that there wasn’t any damages to the roof even though he thoroughly examined it and hence no charge. Afshin is prompt, punctual and is a person who shows up when he says he will. Our roof was badly damaged two days ago and we called him right away. Whilst he was unable to come that day, he did show up on Sunday morning (today) at 7 a.m. just like he said he would. Our roof was repaired properly and in a timely manner. He is friendly, informative and very helpful. While I was under the impression that I should replace the roof right away, Afshin assured me that the material was still good, my shingles still had life and to wait for the next time that high winds may or may not take off the shingles. He pointed out that when the roof was initially replaced 7 years ago, the job wasn't done properly which had led to numerous shingles peeling, which he showed me while he was repairing the roof. I couldn't even get through when I called. Just kept hearing a lady talking and giggling and wouldn't respond to me. Not the greatest customer service. *********I tried to respond to your reply below and ironically there was no 'REPLY' option. So I decided to add my second reply in my first review. Considering that you responded to my review the way you did instead of checking your lines or the phone number that is on your website page or just send a simple ' please call us again, there might have been a phone issue' confirms how much you cared about making the situation right instead of your 5.0 rating. Your website page shows that you close at 8:00pm on Mondays. I called your number not only once or twice but 4 TIMES (7:22pm, 7:24pm, 7:27pm and 7:29pm (all before your closing time of 8pm) and kept getting the same thing. Loud noise mixed with a female voice giggling in the back ground, I took a screenshot of all the times that I called. My husband also called from his cell phone and was getting the same response. To respond to your last part of your reply, I'm not trying to "defame" your company or 5.0 rating. The internet allows people to add their comments to your company's website with their experience and this was my experience trying to reach your company. By the way I am not interested in contacting you for assistance, especially after your response to me, not very customer friendly. **********

Afshin came highly recommended through another friend. Although he doesnt generally work in the mississauga area he agreed to come help me out. My other contactor bailed on me today to get our shingles fixed; and with rain in forecast for the next two days I needed someone who was reliable enough to show up and fix the prokem before any further damage happened.Afshin was extremely accomodating and agreed to drive in after completing another job and fix the roof. He also answered all my concerns and quoted me a decent price for the job. He showed up with another colleague and they got to work just as it was begining to rain.
