Water stop after power lost, I thought my pump gave up; these nice people were kind enough to explain to me on the phone the reset box for that pump. They answered in a very professional, fast way. I would say they are very honest, they could have easily sent someone and charge me for a small thing has a reset. I will do business again with this company for sure for any future pump problem. I called Hitchins pumps out to my house about 6 weeks ago to have look at the water system they installed in my house when the previous owner still lived there. They had to switch to the Moira river from the hand dug well on the property in 2016 due to a water drought. Stu showed up, and ultimately determined that the system (installed by Hitchon's) was not even installed correctly; the line was improperly put into the river not on a proper stand to keep it off of the river bed, and without a foot valve according to the invoice from the former owner. My water pump was sucking in dirt by the pound and filling up my filter. The next day Matt showed up with an improvised sediment filter build from plastic pipe and screen to be put on the end of my water supply line to block the dirt from getting to my water pump. As well, I brought in an underwater inspection guy on my cost to help Matt locate the water line. Matt got frustrated and impatient, and insisted that we switch to the well, despite the fact that the UWI guy finding what he thought was the end of my water line…which did not have a foot valve on it based on Stu's inquiries into the job. I was stuck between a rock and a hard place because I have 4 kids in my house…..one of them being a newborn and I needed to have reliable running water. During this whole interaction Matt was talking through or around my wife to me in a pretty condescending manner, despite me having only ever been on city water and my wife having plenty of experience living on well water or naturally sourced water. At the end of all of this we ended up being put back on our well, which now provides us water that reeks of eggs and old farts which is also known as sulphur that we have to deal with. When we received the invoice we were overbilled for labour, and when I tried to bring it up to have the labour reduced to the time that he was actually there I was given a cooked up story to include Hitchin pumps not billing me for when Stu was at my house initially to evaluate the problem and come up with a plan as if it was some sort of favour or courtesy; Nice try, quotes are free otherwise you wouldn’t have work. As much as I want to fight this, small claims court fees are $75.00 to file and this dispute is over just $90.00 or one hour of labour so I am again stuck in paying the invoice to protect my credit rating. I am not trying to get out of the entire invoice, I am just trying to have the amount of labour fairly adjusted. I thought Hitchon's would be receptive to this proposal given that I do want to pay. One would think such a “reputable contractor” would waive 1 hour of labour when I want to pay the remainder of the invoice on a simple misunderstanding of arrival and departure. I am not even disputing the whole invoice just the extra labour that they want me to pay for that didn’t happen and am now stuck with water that stinks to high heaven. Don’t worry though, I found another contractor that is going to work with us to help us fix our smelly water problem. If they have the guts to do this to a military service couple, nobody is immune from this sort of legalized theft or extortion. I hope the extra $90.00 on the invoice will be put to good use by them...

They have had our sump pump for almost a month now. Everytime we call they say there service manager isn't in, they forgot it was back there, that they are checking on where the part is and say they will call us back but dont. I don't know if they full understand what the sump pumps for but it has been raining all week. So that's great.

Final invoice came out 50% higher than quote - Maybe I should have asked "does that quote include iggle pins and shoot spots" but I just accepted the guy saying what I was letting myself in for. The attendance was quick, the work seems Ok but Not impressed with the pricing out of the work.

That is by far the worst service i ever had! Stew is a rude man with no sense of business and who take more then he can deliver.after service is even worst, when your are force to use stop paiement to get servive... This is a 3,000$ job, Stew. I have been without running water for 13 days now, they have come 3 times, but the worst part, is they have left us hanging. They knew we had no running water, said they would come by to complete the job, and days later still no visit, despite my calling daily, and each day they said they would come. They took my pump to repair, didn't bring it back, twice. So they have 2 of my pumps now. I have 3 kids with special needs, not able to shower, no clean laundry, boiling rainwater to do dishes and wash food. Terrible. I am appalled. Now I am going to their office, to pick up my pumps to find someone else to install.

Called yesterday about a lost pump that was unattached in my well and having extremely low water pressure. Today Adam and Chris came, got the pump out of the well (somehow), took it apart, found the problem and replaced it in under an hour. The first phone call to the final completion in less than 24 hours and everything was fixed. I'm blown away! These guys are efficient, knowledgeable and super responsive! I will be using them again if I ever have any issues, although I don't think I will due to the nature of their work. Everything was explained and even shown to me. Not pushy at all and extremely easy to talk to. Thank-You so much for being super fast and amazing! Thank-You for giving my family back their water!

The plumbers were very professional, fast and efficient and I would reccomend this company if you live right in town. Just be mindful that if you live on the outskirts of town you will be charged for both the mileage and the round trip time. I was not notified about this when I asked if they serviced my area, so it was a bit of a shock to see the mileage and the extra hours of service on my bill. I was also originally charged an extra half an hour on my bill. A few minor complaints, but overall the plumbers were very friendly and hardworking.

One of your employees needs to retake his driving exam. Speed demon thought it was cool to flip us off after creating an unsafe scenario on the road. The water system they supplied and installed on our well failed to maintain pressure after very little water use. They persisted the problem was with our well and that we needed a $6000 trickle system to resolve it. Almost a year passed only to discover through my own resolve the problem we were experiencing was with the pressure settings on the pressure tank (too high) and pressure switch (too low).
