I recommend “Interlock Metal Roofing" 100%! Starting with Angelo Ladas when he visited my home to have an estimate. In that visit I also wanted to know more about the product, installation and reviews about the company, I must say that Angelo’s professionalism said everything about Interlock with that simple visit, before Angelo’s appointment I had 3 more estimates weeks before from different companies in Ontario, and nobody gave me the quality, the level of professionalism and knowledge like Angelo did. In the middle of 2018, just after a couple of days with heavy rain and strong winds, I had a few leaks in my home and many houses in the area lost even roof tiles. Some of those are new homes, which made me hesitate to use asphalt shingles knowing that I needed to repair or change my whole roof very soon anyway. With the idea of changing the whole roof, if you do the math "Aluminum Vs. Asphalt" in probably less than 20-25 years you will be paying probably the same Money, and with asphalt you won’t be completely safe at all... not just for storms, but with fires also, with Aluminum roof you will sleep better knowing that that’s something that you don’t have to worry about. I would like to say that my house installers were simply amazing! Toma, Wyman and their crew were extremely professional with my project, very clean, and the result of my new roof it is just fantastic! Finally, I must add that my Brother house is just across the street of mine(and newer house that mine) and he signed with Interlock Roofing the past week, he will do the same Slate in black just like our house. I had our new aluminum shingle roof slate colour installed during the beginning of 2020. Bruce Mehuys our sales person was very knowlegable and professional. Even though their pricing is higher than steel roofing. Their aluminum shingles was superior and overall costs long term was much better. Our installer Tony did an amazing job. After a year of installation during a major wind storm we had one shingle come off as it wasn't screw in, however after calling warranty service the shingle was repaired very quickly and no hassles. I would highly recommend Interlock Metal roofing. They do stand behind their product.

It won't let me rate with zero stars (so I gave a one). Interlock was installed prior to our home purchase. We are currently in a renovation and had some tiles removed to extend the roof for the new reno (with additional new metal tiles). ALL work is done by contracted installers - not employed members of the company. NO response or EXTENDED DELAYED response to calls - even with a leak! Our roof is currently leaking where they removed tiles and we have been leaving messages for days with no response. AVOID if you want to have a dry home.

We had a couple of roofs that absolutely were NOT what we wanted to see our looking like after a couple seasons. When we saw the "slate tile" style, we knew. That's it. We had to do it since our asphalt roofing was terrible and we were part of a class action lawsuit that was going very slowly. Although we had a few minor issues deciding on the installation preparation and with the post-installation within the first 6 months, the Interlock staff member was most responsive and remedied the issues. After 20 years the paint on my interlock lifetime roof began to peel. The company backed their warranty and installed a new roof for me. I'm extremely happy with the new roof, it is better quality now than it was 20 years ago. And it was installed so much better as well. I can see the difference a proper installation job can make. Steve the installer was hard working, conscientious, a do it right the first time kind of guy. He improved on things the first installers did or should have done. Just as a fast race car is only as good as the driver, a top quality roof is only as good as the installer. I found Interlock Metal Roofing online searching to upgrade my old asphalt roof to something more durable, sustainable, environmentally friendly and energy efficient. Interlock was at the top of my list for roofing companies after doing some product research, but I still contacted 3 different companies for a comparison. Interlock responded immediately, unlike the other companies of which one never even responded. After meeting with John Turnbull and the VP of Interlock, it was clear that Interlock had a superior product both in quality and design. From the first response from Marcella with my initial inquiry, to meeting John and the VP, I was so impressed with their professionalism. The installation occurred earlier than estimated and was completed over a 3 day period with 2 installers who were very hard working, polite, professional, and attentive to detail. The installers pointed out that I had some rust developing on several roof vents which I was unaware of, and they kindly offered to spray paint them with Tremclad paint to also match the colour of the roof. They also did a great job cleaning up my yard, leaving me with no concerns about the safety of my dog or kids running around afterwards. The final results are beyond my expectations, so a big thumbs up to John and the whole team.

BEWARE! What we were "sold" is not what we got. SLOW response to repair issues. They promise a "24 hour per day live person" , I keep getting voicemail when I call. They have a great sales pitch but don't deliver. The product itself is good but customer service is very poor.

We had done our homework and we were impressed with Derek's information and approach. Our installation was scheduled quickly. The installers were excellent, personable, professional and very tidy. No mess left behind. After the first winter we are very happy. I would recommend for other to consider more roof guards. Although we are protected over doorways there were mountains from the slide in our garden and on back patio. Not critical but something to consider.

It was easy to talk to and work with all of the knowledgeable people at Interlock. Before we committed to go with Interlock, we looked at several roofs in the area that had Interlock installed (using Google street view, due to a COVID-19 stay-at-home order); they all looked great. Tony started the installation work on April 5, 2021 and completed it on April 14, taking about 7 days of work. It took this long since Tony did all of the work himself, but at least he is a highly trained person (for over 30 years) making sure all of the work is done properly. Before he started, Tony discussed a few details with me to clarify exactly the method to be used, such as how to seal around two brick chimneys and how to fit the roof edge to the covered eaves troughs. The Interlock system was installed over top of one layer of old shingles. The Interlock tiles are held down with nails that have rings around them, so they will hold like screws. The Interlock tiles are mechanically locked in to each other on all four sides, so I don’t expect any future problems with any wind damage. Everything looks great. Hopefully the surface will now discourage the racoons from going on the roof (and leaving their excrement).

UPDATE: I’ve increased the rating from one star to two stars, because two of the issues have just recently been fixed (finally)... however, I’m still short snow guards. When we signed the contract for our roof, the salesman had agreed to include the guards needed for over the garage doors, man doors, and front porch. He had wrote down 36 guards. That was the contract we signed - for 36 guards. Unbeknownst to us, that was not nearly enough to put in the spots agreed to. As homeowners, how are we to know how many snow guards are actually required for the agreed upon spots? So now, it looks really dumb because the snow guards only run about half the length of the front porch and then just stop. Looks like we ran out of money and couldn’t afford the rest of the snow guards that were required to go the full length of the front porch. The company has declined to add the remaining guards at no cost and have insisted on a charge (something like $50+/guard), which I refuse to pay, because we’ve already shelled out an arm and a leg; have had nothing but a hassle for over a year trying to get the other two issues resolved, AND we had negotiated with the salesman prior to signing that they would all be included. Original review: Had my new roof installed early 2019. It’s gorgeous. However, wIthin a few weeks of the install, we noticed a few issues. These issues were brought to the attention of the company reps by email and phone. I had to fight to prove that roof guards were included in my contract and that they shorted me 11 roof guards. There were two other issues as well - one of the pieces appear to be lifted in the middle of the roof; also, at the one corner, the joint covers (? I have no idea what they’re really called) were installed overlapping in the wrong direction - so when it rains, the rain will be getting in under that portion of the roof. I went back and forth on emails and phone calls with them for months. Here we are an additional 9 months later (over a year since I initially reported the issue) and still NOTHING has been done to fix any of the issues. I’m at my wits end and fear ever having to claim anything under the warranty. To this day, still going back and forth, trying to get these very minor issues fixed.

Purchsed 2016. Looks as good today as the day it was installed. Great job done by the installer. Everybody was very pleasent and personable and answered all questions before and during installation. We have been through many wind and rain storms and have no issues. We wish we would have done it sooner. I highly recommend this roof to anyone looking for a metal type roof.

Bought my house a while ago with their roof installed already. Called them today to inquire about additional snow guards, as detached garage had none installed, and the house had them only above main and patio doors. My initial guess was that the previous owner decided to do so - but after reading some complaints today, I realized that not enough snow guards / missing or damaged snow guards has been an issue for other customers. So not so sure now as to why. The only good experience - a quick call back from a gentlemen (forgot the name) and the fact that they had drawings of my house, so the estimate was done over the phone in minutes. And it was $45 per snow guard installed, with a minimum service call charge of $450 - which would cover the cost of 10 guards, or just enough to cover one slope of garage roof. And then another $45/piece until I have enough - 40 altogether (my estimate), for the total cost of $1800 Now - normally if I don't like the price, I just walk away. But because I looked up the prices for snow guards online, and saw them ranging anywhere from $2 to $8, I couldn't resist the question - where $45/piece charge is coming from? Especially if to consider that, according to the gentlemen I spoke to on the phone, it would take them 20 minutes to install 10 of them. I suppose at this point he realized that I will not be interested any further, and instead of just politely finishing the conversation, he started going about "show me the snow guards for $8 and I will buy 10000 of them", "we don't make $450 in 20 minutes, because we have expenses", "nobody will come to your house for less than $200", etc. I didn't like the tone and manner, so I pressed on and questioned the pricing further, suggesting that a 20 minutes job shouldn't cost $450 - while remaining calm and polite, I must add. And now regret doing that, because the guy on the other end told me to "buy those $2 snow guards and screw them into the roof yourself", or my favorite -"remove those you already have on your house and put them on your garage - this way it won't cost you anything". All of this was ended with "I have to go, call me back if you are interested" I work in customer oriented business myself, and I do get annoying clients as well - or at least such that appear to be so. There is a thing - it is called Customer Service. And another one - Business Etiquette. If you don't want to deal with the customer for whatever reason, or see that there will be no profit, there are ways to leave on a good note. You, my friend, decided to treat me like an idiot, thus earning your company this review - and I will not stop until it is posted on every possible site and social platform. This is a horrible company. I paid 25000 for a roof and ever since they installed it I have had horrible water flow off the roof. The installers said everyone who gets one of these roofs through this company will have to replace all the eavestroughs. I called many times and spoke to Sheldon who was useless, Tony who was rude and the president NEVER returned my call. The only nice person is the person answering the phone and her name is Carla. We are so happy with our Interlock Roof from start to finish it was a seamless process, John in sales was great to deal with as was the head office and John the installer and his team. The weather was not great but they worked hard and in less than ideal conditions to get it done in a timely manner, the quality is quite obvious from the nails they use to the construction of the aluminum and underlayment. At one point we were considering going with Shingles because of the little extra cost and now we are so glad we didn't we will have a roof for a life time. Thanks for the great roof!

You cannot deny the benefits of installing this type of system. The quality of Interlock's product (teflon- coated aluminum) has been such a reassuring factor that we highly recommend it. We purchased this product from Interlock after admiring other projects they had completed in our neighbourhood. The owners of the other homes highly recommended Interlock Industries, as do we. Our roof has drawn interest from many passerby’s during the installation and since completion. The charcoal slate product we selected is very striking. The Installer who completed the project did an excellent job and was thorough in his cleanup during and at the end of the project. Since the aluminum “shingles” were installed on top of the existing shingles there was no need to dump a whole load of old materials into landfill which was an important consideration in our decision. And since our original roof was in fairly good condition, a layer of strapping was not required before installing the aluminum product.
