Nice place
They have variety of computer accessories at affordable price
Great price, great guy!
Purchased a "fully tested" Apple Mac mini which turned out to produce hardware error. Wasted $50 on "restocking fee" when returning. While claiming "fully tested" they have no idea what Apple Hardware Test is. Yes, they have 15-day return policy, but small print says there's 20% restocking fee which I wasted. Other options were: a) store credit (why would one need a credit in a store that sells faulty hardware claiming it to be "fully tested"?) b) repairing "fully tested" item (how they can even do that assuming they are even unable to test it properly?) c) upgrading to a more expensive model (trust is broken already, no way!) Hope my experience learned hard way will help someone.
My desktop PC recently crashed and I could not get it to reboot. I took it into Inmax Computers on Eglinton Ave in Toronto and gave it to the owner - Sam W. He charged me $30 to examine the PC and determine the problem. Then he charged me $26.50 to re-install Windows and get the machine working again. I was shocked at how reasonable that price was. I then decided to get some new fast USB 3.x ports installed and he quoted me a price of $32 to install 4 new USB 3.x ports. I can't imagine any other place that would be so reasonable. He fixed the PC on the same day I brought it in and I can't imagine any other place that would do that. I have owned and used Windows PCs since they first came out. I have taken them to big box stores for repairs and I have found people who advertised in Craigslist and Kijiji who would come to my home and provide service there. I did speak with several of those people about my recent problem and had two of them come to my home. I want to warn you all to be very careful of the people who advertise their service that way. They both told me one thing on the phone. But when they came to my home they tried to tell me I needed to install a new version of Windows. One told me he would do that for $100 and the other one told me he would sell me a new version of Windows 10 for $200. I recognized them both as less than honest and I urge you all to be careful of these shysters. Sam is a real treasure.
Sam is a great guy to deal with, and a very genuine person. I felt the staff here really took time to see what my issues were and went out of their way to fix my computer problems. Very happy, and p.s they have awesome deals on ink cartridges too!
So helpful and great prices! He fixed my computer and saved me from an assignment meltdown!
Sometimes "too good to be true" can still be true. I found a used Macbook on their website for far less than the same model anywhere else. Due to a glitch with the shipping cost calculator I had the pleasure of dealing with the owner, Sam directly. cosmetically the unit was in far better shape than expected, pristine almost. even the battery performed great and a brand new power supply came with it. Shipped the day after I ordered it. Small, local retailer beats the big box! Thanks for making shopping local the best choice!
Make sure to take photos of the products you buy from Inmax at the store itself. I bought a tablet with a chipped corner and I pointed it out at the time of purchase, but it wasn't noted on the receipt. I tried to exchange it a week later cause it was working slower than expected, but he acted surprised when he saw the chip and denied selling me a damaged product. I know it was there when I bought it but had no proof, so got cornered into keeping it. Disappointed with the lack of honesty, transparency and integrity at Inmax-- watch out for yourself when shopping here cause they won't.
Sam a great guy very helpful
Sam is great. He comes off as a little rough around the edges but he's honest and saved me a boatload of money.
I brought two used Intel NUC computers, which I had recently purchased used on eBay and Kijiji respectively. Sam was excellent! A very methodical craftsman, who patiently looked for specific issues, relating to the errors I experienced. I cannot speak highly enough about Sam's professionalism and customer service. Thank you Sam!
Good ups drop off spot
Sam has provided amazing service many times for my electronic and computer needs. He is knowledgeable, skilled and I know I can count on his services anytime I need assistance. He is always patient to explain anything I don't understand. He has not only aided but also educated me. I highly recommend Sam at Inmax Computers!
Great service at a good price.
Awesome. Fixed my computer in a day. Great service great price
The guy running this computer shop will cheat you. He's not the real owner, so if you buy something from him, and you want a 100% refund, he will deduct 20%. Each purchase comes with a 30 day money back guarantee, but he'll refuse to comply with it and claim no fault for defective electronics. The business card lists a 'Sam Wong' on it, but this guy is not Sam Wong. Don't trust this guy, he's a two-bit liar.
I bought a TV box from this store before. I was told at the time of purchase that this is the fastest and newest. After a year when I took it back for a problem update, the same person told me that box is too old for the new programs and I need to buy a new one!! Just recently I went back to reset and program a different box and now after the reprogramming, the remote control is not working, so I had to buy a new one to use my tv box again!! Very frustrating!!
I have known Sam for 11 years or more. Sam has built computers for me that I still use 8 years later. I own a television production studio. Keeping my computers running is very important so I can reach my deadlines. When I can't fix computers myself I go to Sam for help. Great service, Great price.
This guy as no manners. I would never recommend anyone to this guy. REAL UNPROFESSIONAL
Parking was hard to find... its behind the building. Friendly fast service
Terrible service . I would choose the other UPS pick up points even it is further
Don't go there very rude
I struggled for a long time before deciding to publish this. I see a few highly negative reviews here and most of them complain about rudeness - especially on the telephone. I believe I know the reason why. Sam is Asian and English is his second language. He speaks with a little accent. But it's not very much of an accent at all. Consequently, people may have some small difficulty from time to tome understanding what he says - especially over the phone. But that is hardly any reason to accuse him of rudeness. He has never displayed the tiniest bit of rudeness to me. Currently, many people seem to have bad feelings towards Asians. That is most unfortunate because if you are only willing to just listen a little more carefully and maybe ask Sam to repeat something occasionally, you will find that he is a wonderful resource. It sure doesn't take much effort. Sam has an excellent understanding of PCs and repairs to PCs and his prices are very reasonable. If only you are willing to just act with a little understanding and kindness, you will be rewarded many times over.
Rude staff member on the phone - zero patience
Beware of 20% restocking fee. The moment you pay, you will never get all your money back, so think twice. Whether you bought something that doesn’t work as expected or changed your mind, in a best case scenario you will get only 80% of what you paid. You can get a store credit, but that might or might not be what you want. Verdict: the store might be ok for small, inexpensive, virtually unbreakable items like cables or batteries, but for something pricey think again and consider a store that is customer-friendly. Oh, and there’s a 5% credit card processing fee, too.
Great service! Got my laptop fixed in two days AND for an affordable price!
Nice guy. Best prices. Always go back.
Sam is great, if I have any problems with my IPTV I can bring it in and get it fixed, free of charge! Also, he assists you promptly.
Sam is a good guy. Great service and reliable.
The guy, Sam, is great! He listened carefully to my computer problem and suggested a simple solution. He didn't try to upsell me to more expensive repairs. I also bought a refurbished laptop, and he was helpful and trying to meet my needs. He does what he says he will do. I am a loyal customer now.
This is where i go for little electrical gadgets ( usb cords , chargers,tv box, laptops etc)
Sam fixed all issues on my tv box on the same day i handed it in and at a very reasonable price. His knowledge on android systems are very impressive. I highly recommend him to all my friends.
The guy or owner has a rude attitude. Bad customer service skills over the phone or person. Doesn't bargain and has an attitude "my way or the highway and take it or leave it attitude" prices are not even competitive or cheap.
Scummy practice with regards to their return policy. Bought something in store and was told I had 30 days to return. Then when I went back to return it, their ‘policy’ changed to 7 days. Even if I had brought it back within 7 days, it would be for a store credit and 20% restocking fees. On the website it even says 15 days for returns. Better off buying from a reputable store instead.
eh
Worst service I have ever received. Brought my laptop in for repair and was told it would be 2 to 3 days. After a week I called in and was told the laptop had not been repaired as it was a different issue than originally diagnosed. Was told it would be another 2 to 3 days for a repair. After another week I had to call in to find out what was going on. I was told their "offsite" tech was still working on it. I told them if they could not repair it to return my laptop to me. After a few days I received a call to pick up my laptop as they could not repair it. So basically I paid $30 for a diagnosis and got the runaround for almost 3 weeks for my trouble. Worst experience and customer service ever! Didn't even apologize when I picked up my laptop. Never even bothered to give me a price on replacing the part that could not be repaired. Not that I would have left it here again. DO NOT COME HERE FOR REPAIRS unless you like to waste your time.
Sam is great. I travelled to his store and had my existing tv box programmed and add months to my account. He is a professional person and I recommend him to everyone.
