My laptop screen light stopped working. I took it to Tom at Technoid. He found it was my mother board. I am a senior and Tom was very generous to help me. He even offered to drop it off at my home when finished. I now have an almost new laptop. I would recommend Technoid to all seeking an honest fix for their computer problem.

I've already done the work for you. I'm the kind of guy who will shop around and find the best service for the best price. My 2014 Macbook Pro needed a battery and the Apple Store wanted a fortune to replace it. Other computer repair places just base their prices on what Apple charges. Technoid pre-ordered the battery, called me when it came in and did the replacement the same day (by appointment) while I had lunch. I've sent other's to Technoid Computer Repairs who are just as happy with their work as I am. They deserve 5 minutes of my time to post this.

Very easy to get in touch with, very good work. Above all, extremely accommodating: I need my laptop for work, so we found a way to drop it off in the morning and pick it up in the afternoon. I got stuck trying to pick it up, and he was able to find another time for me. The rubber feet on my laptop had to be discarded, and he found weather stripping which actually works significantly better!

Tom did a solid job of diagnosing the issue with my PC and repairing it. However, during our communications via phone, he came off a bit pushy and condescending. When my PC was returned, there was a loose screw bouncing around inside and he forgot to re-attach a hard drive. Tom also would not agree to re-install my OEM version of Windows that I already owned (still a supported version) and insisted that he would only install Windows 10. He charged for a Windows 10 install but the version of Windows 10 he installed on my PC ended up being unusable months later due to the attached Microsoft license not being legit. I had to reinstall Windows using my older version, which took more time. At the end of the day, my PC works great since Tom's fix and he is clearly an experienced PC repairman. I just had to be honest about these other items, as they rubbed me the wrong way. edit: In response to the owner's response, I no longer wish to work with Technoid, I'd rather just move on. I appreciate the feedback and I was a customer.

My Laptop was acting really weird. I took it to Tom at Technoid Computer Repairs to see about getting it fixed. We’ll it had a lot of malware and viruses and stuff. Tom was able to get rid of them and make it run like new. He also taught me a lot about how to stop getting infected with them and made sure it won’t happen again. Then he came to my office and made that secure too. I feel much more safe now! If you have a computer problem he’s the guy to see!

Totally awesome service.The Apple Store said it would be $1500.00 to fix my Macbook pro. Tom looked at it and fixed it in 1 day for $200.00.He said that Apple always charges crazy prices and that he would never understand why they did that to their customers. Tom Thinks that kind of price gouging is just wrong-I agree! . Kudos to Technoid for a job well done!

Tom at Technoid Computer Repairs was VERY polite and seemed to really know what he was doing. My Laptop had been infected with a fake FBI ransomeware virus. It totally locked me out of my PC. Tom removed it before I lost any files the same day. He was really concerned about the security of my Private Information and told me how to be more secure with it.. This place is really GREAT! I had my laptop infected with ransom ware. I kept getting a screen that said to send them $400.00 or my laptop would be wiped forever. I took it to Technoid and Tom got rid of that and showed me how to never get one again. I think everyone should go there! I got same day service too!

He was able to recover all of my files and photos and install a new hard drive. Now my computer runs like new, only faster. I really am so Happy! I had a backup usb box with all my pictures of my family and my business record on it that stopped working. I took it to geek squad at Bestbuy but they said that it could not be fixed. I took it to Tom at Technoid Computer Repairs and he has this great lab where they can get things like that back. And He did! He really got me out of a bind and was way less that some of those big companies. He will get all of my computer work now.

He bills his time at a very reasonable rate and is usually available to help within hours. He knows his stuff and gets the job done. Our latest job was moving two computers/monitors/printers from one location to another. Tom did the disconnect on one end and then the reconnect at the new location. He wrapped our equipment in bubble wrap, boxed it up and even helped carry it out of the building, load it into our vehicle and help to unload at the other end. After formatting my main drive instead of my external back up (blame the beer) I contacted Tom. After some well deserved jokes at my expense Tom went right to work recovering my data before my wife discovered my lack of computer knowledge. He suggested a few upgrades, installed a new version of Windows 10 ( update trouble started whole thing) and here I am, back on the internet, searching for TP and hand sanitizer. Tom replaced both cooling fans in my HP Spectrex360 15" laptop. It's been 24 hours, and new fans are working great so far. Old fan(s?) was making rattling sound (likely bearing was going bad). I liked Tom's business-like attitude and quality of his work. Pricing is reasonable too. I really liked that he did it on Saturday sparring any downtime for me. I can’t say enough about Tom’s service and expertise. We own a small business and my laptop computer completely crashed with our entire business billing program (which I negligently failed to back up adequately). I couldn’t even get the computer to turn on! We were in a panic - all I cared about was restoring and backing up the data. Well, Tom did that and so much more! Before it crashed, the computer was running sluggish for years, and was basically dedicated to just one application (business software). I barely used it for the internet because it was so painstakingly slow. Tom made it better than new! He cleaned up all the sludge, added memory, and worked his magic! It now runs so fast it has become my go-to for email and surfing the net, instead of my iPhone or iPad. He also furnished me with a good antivirus system and backup hardware so I’ll never have to go through that level of anxiety again!
