Dell is a complete joke. Their CS is even worse. Don't buy Dell and you have been warned.

You need a "zero" star option. This is unequivocally the worst company I've ever dealt with in over half a century of my dealings with countless companies around the world. Phone centres in either India or the Philippines take calls and don't have a clue what they are doing. The DFS department is a scam that asks for enough information to use for identity theft; asking for sensitive Government ID including Passport, Drivers license, SIN/SSS number and full banking information. My order was placed and finalized. When it was supposed to have arrived, I received an email asking for more ID. This went on for three weeks - where I spoke with representatives who assured me everything was moving forward. I never received my item. I spoke to four supervisors; one named Mohammed ID 676316 who assured me he would follow the order to completion and gave me an alphanumeric reference number for the hour phone conversation we had - all the while apologizing and stating this would be corrected. Five days later; I'm getting requests for more ID. I spoke with another supervisor - five days after speaking with Mohammed - Ruby ID 970452 - who doesn't know who Mohammed ID 67316 is. I'm done with these incompetent clowns. I have contacted my local and federal governments to report fraud and unethical business practices. I've lodged a formal complaint with an independent agency. DO NOT GIVE THESE IDIOTS ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION. In time; Dell will no longer be a viable business with how incompetent their employees are.

Worse company that I have ever dealt with.I bought a Dell inspiron it lasted a full year and 3 months max. I call for assistance hung up on multiple times and worse customer support team no one tried to get the best solution in meeting customer needs. Still till this day I was suppose to be emailed by someone in head office no message has yet to be received. I asked if I'm sending my computer do I have to pay $300, basically a generic cost they give everyone even if the problem is not worth that much to fix. I had a Hp from Walmart lasted 4 years half the cost and is still working just slower than before. Overall advance don't buy into dell products!

James

Absolutely the worst company I have ever dealt with! Ordered one laptop online and after the 6th business day they were still asking more questions and more paperwork... and every email response was “this is the last question”..... the last question never ends!!!! Nothing but apologies and continuous Chaos! I believe NO in Dell Canada has ever been trained to do there job! I called customer service to complain and they hung up twice without even listening and tried to talk over me!!! WOW how is this company in business!?!

Michael Lee (마이클리IlikeAC)

I tried to buy a laptop with a promotion. One day, the order were cancel without any message and they canceled and they are saying what was happening. Also, I felt extremely insulted and I tried to tell this to cnet reporter to screw them up because I hated and abhorred them when I was having a contact with the customer service. Dell is still alive because of alienware, not by their regular products. I think all the N.A schools should not use the dell products even if they have a less budget to buy cheap dell promotion. After I dealt with dell, I felt extremely insulted. Don't buy dell, buy HP. I mean it. Don't.

Awesome computer I purchased from Dell. No other compared. Very fast.

Do yourself a favour. Buy Lenovo. You will thank me later on. Reasons to buy Lenovo. 1. Products are solid. 2. If you compare oranges to oranges (sorry apples arn't fitting in this example) they are generally priced more aggressive. 3. Support is just outstanding. Have have over 40 Lenovo products in my business. Majority are full proof and any issues I have had they have stood by their product EVEN OUTSIDE OF WARRANTY. Reasons NOT to buy Dell. 1. Poor craftsmanship and QA is non existent. Ordered 12 Monitors over two different product lines. 4 were sent back for screens peeling at the edges and one the bezel was cracked and the boxes were NOT damaged. 2. Poor customer service. One monitor had two dead pixels. Tried to reach customer service through email twice. NO RESPONSE. Chat does not work on site and What's App Chat will make you want to bash your head against a wall if you even get a response from them. The only option is to call. Because I wasted my time over email/chat/whatsapp. I was a month and 3 days by the time I called and they would only replace the monitor with a Refurbished unit. The Refurbished unit had poor craftsmanship and had to be sent back for the peeling issue. I am still waiting for my replacement for the replacement. 3. If you get by the first two issues then the products are satisfactory. Still better than HP products. That's a definite no.

I Googled "Dell Retail Stores" and got directed to an office. To make it worse there is NO retail space to purchase there. And even worse, I wasn't the 1st person to be falsely guided there. Booo!

Mohamed Elgazar

A very poor customer service, I quoted for a laptop online with the promise to call back the next day to finalize the deal. No one showed up or even contact for follow-up. Very bad customer experience didn't expect from a big company like Dell Dell Dell

Jonah Zapparoli

Absolute worst customer service from such a big company like Dell. I bought a computer on Nov 25th 2018, received it on Dec 12th and it didn't even turn on. It is Dec 26th 2018 right now and I have yet to receive a replacement. Although, I am currently only the phone with them to get a full return, which has been a process that has entailed numerous back and forth emails and miscommunications with their customer care department. Truly one of my worst customer experiences.

John Polikar

I wish I could give a negative rating.. Never before have I felt strongly enough to leave a review, but then again, never before have I dealt with a such terrible customer service. The amount of time wasted on being put through to the wrong department and the back and forth, and now in wasting time to writing a review.. Placed a laptop order 2 months ago, only to be told 3 weeks later that it is not in stock, despite agreeing to order a more expensive model, waiting another month only for a dysfunctional laptop to arrive and now have no update on the status of a new one being sent out... I hope this experience and review may provide use to others when deciding about placing an order through Dell directly.. otherwise great product from a company that clearly does not invest time in improving training for their employees nor care for the customer after the order is placed..

Faysal Ozeerun

Placed an order for a laptop and waited for days before an answer to find out they've internally cancelled the order. They didnt bother to call the client, until the client followed and got bounced around with a bunch of lies. Now the order …

If I could leave a Zero, I would. My daughter has a Dell laptop that is under warranty. She needed a keyboard replaced due to a couple of keys not working. The service has been nothing short of ATROCIUOS! Weeks later and still no repair and terrible support with no repair in sight. Don't buy Dell!

Bruno Carrière

I bought a xps 13 (2015). I had to deal with the worst customer service I ever seen in my entire life. Had to return this 1200$ computer 4 times and now they offer me a used one to replace it! If I can give you an advice: NEVER buy a Dell …

Dharmesh Sujeeun

Had a good experience overall. Minus one star, because before I purchased it, I was told that my laptop would arrive within 7-9 days, but after I bought it, my order said that the estimated number of days until delivery is 15 days. The product did ship on time though, and I have not had any issues with it so far. Customer service was also amazing. After reading the reviews here, I feel that I must have had a lot of luck with the customer service.

J S

If I could leave 0 stars I would. After months of delay my 'brand new' laptop arrived - dented. I returned it and without asking, they sent another. The keyboard and dimming feature didn't work. I returned it. I had to go the extra mile and talk to many agents to finally chase them down for a refund. They appeared to have refunded the $, but I discovered they did so to a Visa that had been deactivated for months. Normally it should roll over onto the new Visa. Visa did a forensic review of the account, which shows no refund had ever been issued by Dell to my Visa. Dell has closed the case and is washing its hands of the issue. Essentially it appears Dell has stolen $2400 from me and is conveniently placing blame on Visa. I get shut down by all customer service reps and Dell won't even discuss it with me anymore. I can't believe what Dell has become.

By far the worst Laptop I've ever owned. Purchased a Dell Inspiron 15 5000 series a year ago and from the beginning it was already buggy. Laptop would start slow, web browsers would take long, and applications would take forever to open. Called Dell today to fix the issue. They ran a diagnostic scan for my hardware, which I do regularly and uninstalled a couple applications. Agent told me it wasn't a hardware issue even though he can clearly see that the scan and uninstalling of apps was taking long. Transferred me over to Software support and they claimed it was a software issue and not a hardware since the diagnostics didn't find anything. Wanted me to pay 200 plus tax to upgrade my warranty to include software support. I didn't feel like I had to pay an additional 200 to get my "software" fixed since I purchased this laptop for 900 and an Alienware desktop for 1500. The desktop works perfectly fine but the laptop is atrocious. I get a green screen from time to time when watching videos, but hey I guess that's a software issue... yeah right! Anyways, the second agent and manager tried to keep selling me on upgrading my warranty to see if it is actually a software issue. Seems stupid since I paid so much and my desktop doesn't have any software issues. Desktop runs the same windows 10 and it works fine. Really doesn't make much sense why it would be the software. In addition, I shouldn't have to pay that much to get it diagnosed. Both agents were completely rude and kept interrupting me. Kept repeating the same thing over and over as if I'm not understanding. Last time I buy any dell products going forward. DO NOT BUY A DELL!!!

Michael Salinas

Edit: Laptop is absolutely flawless, I've had no issues at all with it and it runs great! It's a shame that such good products require such a hassle to obtain. If they would just fix thier customer service coordination then I would have no issue giving them 5 stars however there is a big issue with customer service. Most of the reps are hard to understand and have a tendency to send back and forth between departments if your issue is complicated. Dell has the absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. I ordered an Alienware Area 51-m for about 3600$ and initially had a estimated delivery date of 2 weeks from purchase which has after 3 delays turned into 2 months and still no shipping date. It's a real shame since I was ready to leave an excellent review just because of 1 representative that helped me with getting a better deal and fixing all the mess ups on thier end, however, that rep decided to ghost me after more issues came forward. I'm extremely disappointed since everything was truly going on without a hitch until that point. The customer service team decided to simply abandon my case so I had to reach out again only to find out that there were more delays. For paying premium price for a premium product, there is absolutely no premium service on thier end. The laptop I am getting is truly a good product but they really need to overhaul the ordering process because I can't see myself ever ordering from them ever again.

I purchased a Dell G5 5505 SE which came with a RX5600M graphics card and when I first received the laptop it would crash under heavy graphics load. After over a month, Dell finally released an updated graphics driver which did fix the issue but the new graphics driver removed Radeon Software from my PC. If I install the appropriate Radeon Software Version from the AMD website I do gain access to the Radeon Software but then the computer starts crashing under graphical load again. I have contacted Dell and they want me to pay for software support to even start addressing this issue. The product was advertised to have the features that Radeon Software provides so it's false advertising that the product does not have this software. I paid for the software support from Dell even though this is an issue with their product and not on my end, as I feel like I have no other course of action. I feel scammed over the fact that I am paying to fix an issue with a product that I already paid for and came broken. Even the tech support that I paid dell for couldn't fix the problem but after 1 email to AMD support they helped me fix the issue. Dell will never get my (or any of my friends+family's) business again.

Bought a software, couldn't install...tried one week...called technical departments...yacky customer service and bad attitude. Told them to refund. Went through frustration during the last two weeks. customer service and process design for delivering service: both are lousy in Dell.

Hello The message I want you to convey to the sales and customer service managers is to improve the experience when someone calls for help. I called to change my credit card before the order is processed, I got bounced 4 times between sales and customer service with no resolution to my problem. I hope the product is much better than the service I received on the phone Thank you

Ilya Gilin

Bad products, terrible customer service - I really would give it 0, if I could. I purchased a new laptop few months ago and was extremely disappointed. From the very beginning a laptop had serious speed issues without having any specific heavy software products. The only solution I could get from outsourced customer service is to contact their software support team. This service costs about $100 and it looks totally unreasonable and disappointing. I sent a number of email to the company, but got no response. It is not my first DELL laptop, but for sure, the last one. Strongly recommend to anyone who wants to have a positive experience not to approach them.

The power switch for Dell Inspiron 15 5000 is very weak and flimsy, because of poor design and the low quality of the related part. In a short time it lost its functionality and computer can not be turned on!!! Dell must recall its products or compensate the buyers.

Moody Moral

This may not be the right place to put the review but.. I had to express this somewhere. I'm still on the Dell's Technical SupportAssist chat for 8 hours and counting. …

sayan siddiqui

I have ordered a gaming pc and they it will take 30 days to deliver!!! One pc!?!?!? I will never order from Dell again. Two star because the customer service replied right away about my query. Though no help to expedite my order. I am very disappointed and again i will never order from them again.

Invest a little more and buy from anyone else.. Kijiji is more trustworthy than these scammers

Dell's Customer Service deserves NO STARS. I placed an order and it had the correct Billing Information. For some reason, after the placement and acknowledgement of my order, Dell switched the Billing Info to the name of my deceased husband who has not had activity in their database for 2 years or more. I let them know that they made an error and they say they have to call me to confirm the details. Why? The correct details are in the original order. Why can they not just use the information I gave when I placed the order and they acknowledged receipt of my order? Tried to phone them rather than have them phone me and was sitting on hold for over 15 minutes.

It is VERY sad to see a company that should have deserved a five star rating all the way and only got 1.7 rating on Google review. I have decided to purchase DELL products, since my college and university studies begun nearly 2 decades ago. I have had nothing but great experiences, product after product that I had bought not only for myself, but also my whole family, ranging from laptop, desktop, and AIO (simple ones to gaming ones). I have to admit that there was one laptop that DID cause problems, that was why I purchased the extra protection (in case I DID face that "in case" situation, which did happened to me in 2012), when my husband's laptop froze. The DELL tech DID help to remotely fix the issues and the laptop was good as new again. Anyway, since then there has been no issue at all. I guess everyone's experience is different. But, I have been a loyal customer of DELL computer for over 2 decades now and shall continue to be one.

I bought a Alienware 17 2013 laptop in 2013, the laptop was great did everything i needed, never needed repair. I bought a new alienware m15 due to my old one just stopped working one day. The new alienware overheats, it had a problem so i had to send it to dell. They change the laptop for a new one but they forgot to transfer the warranty over to this laptop. If i call dell they are transferring my calls and half way the call will drop or they will tell me to call a number that don't work. I can not even get no one to help me. I tried over facebook but they want my order number and other information i don't have that i lost. I can say i will never buy alienware again.

HORRIBLE WARRANTY SUPPORT!!! I bought a laptop from a certified Dell reseller, and then asked Dell to buy an extended warranty, clearly advising them of the details of my purchase. Dell agreed and sold me the extended warranty, almost $500!! Less than one year later, they cancelled the warranty without telling me, later giving me the excuse that they don’t support systems bought from resellers. Yet, they sold it to me, and took my payment. And they are not even refunding my money, no one even returns my email request! I was a loyal supporter of Dell for over 15 years, they used to have good support. Clearly they are lacking today. I will never buy a Dell product again!

Just just had an awefull experience with Customer Support from Dell. I purchased a laptop and was going to backup up my system and it turns out that there is no software for that on my new laptop. I telephoned the customer support and boy or boy, some teenager from India with unclear language was telling me what to do, being not cooperative with me the whole time, ignoring my questions. At the end they ended up my call and left me with my problem alone without calling me back. Dell please hire someone from America, not India.

Jessica Rola

Terrible communication. It's been almost two weeks. I paid $250 for a monitor and have not received it. Have not received a refund either. Due to some kind of information error, they will not ship it out and recalled it from Purolator. Every time I call one of the customer service reps, they do not pick up AND/OR they have no idea what to do about it and redirect me to another person. Their online chat guy could not do anything at all. I just wanted to cancel my order and get a refund and he could not do it and just told me to call. I would rather resolve the issue within email or chat but you INSIST I call and you NEVER pick up. What am I supposed to do? Ended up filing a Paypal dispute as Paypal actually does something. I am never ordering here ever again. I'll just price match any deals to a local retailer like Best Buy or Canada Computers in the future because Dell online retail is trash.

Endrick Kreuter

Had a suddenly malfunctioning Bluetooth card. Called and got service within two days, and that included shipping the new part!! All done and working again as before. A very polite technician came as promised, and fixed the whole thing in under 1/2 hour. I am very impressed and can only say, the next laptop will be my fourth Dell!

token2win

over heats up to 90 c on cpu and gpu when you ask about it they say thats norm? so i will never buy from dell. so my original plan was to upgrade the system but the thing was so bad i ended up just building my self one from scratch cuz other then the cpu i 7 7700k nothing was worth keeping ram ran at 1333 mz gpu was just a 1050 non ti psu was like a 250 w and there was only one fan not to menschen the gpu just had a fan but no heat sink other then what looks like a low grad cpu cooler slaped onto it

Purchased a Dell Inspiron 15R 3552 laptop from Dell.ca,it's been only 5 months and the system is not installing Windows update, when called to dell tech support about it,they say buy an extended warranty, because 1 yr warranty doesn't include sotware troubleshooting, when explained the rep about atleast checking the problem before judging it,then he troubleshoots and downloads few software and in the end says that windows 10 software is not good,we need to reinstall it again,so it means I made a $600 investment only to discover after 5 months that it's a refurbished fake software product. WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING ELSE IN THE FUTURE FROM DELL,NOT EVEN A MOUSE.

IS THIS COMPANY NOW OWNED BY ANOTHER COUNTRY??? I have never experienced such bad service from any company in my 45 years existence. I don't understand how this company even does business and compete with its very large array of competitors. BUYERS BEWARE.... Ordered a laptop online and awaited a whole 2 weeks for the laptop arrived. Why wouldn't you simply walk into a computer store or best buy and purchase your product right there, no wait AND you can see what you are purchasing !!! Received my laptop....and I purchased a laptop with very high specs, therefore expecting it to perform way better than my 8 yold HP. Not the case!! It was super slow and just dragging.....obviously not the computer or specs I had paid for. Than called their tech support that is obviously in another country. He logs in and does a disk clean up, downloads windos updates and a Dell driver for me. I think I could have done that. Tell's me that the computer will get faster as I continue to use it!! lol Hilarious!!! So as I use it more, download more pics, videos, documents it will get faster??? lol Than he told me to give it a tr for a few days and let him know....IS THAT WHAT I BOUGHT A NEW COMPUTER FOR??? TO TRY IT OUT AND HOPE IT WILL BE WHAT I PAID FOR??? LOL One day later the hard drive crashed..... After being told these things can happen and not to make it a big deal as they wil replace it or repair it for me. I explained this4 week process to enjoy a laptop I had ordered has become a nightmare. I asked can you ensure the next one is tested for the right performance or no faults in it....he stated that is not possible!!! Really??? Than as any other customer service company would compensate you for your troubles, apologize or try to make it up to you. He refused to offer me anything for my troubles, or an upgrade on my laptop or my last request was to expedite it .....his answer...."sorry, sir it will again be a two week period for you to receive the laptop". This company has made it extremely difficult to find a proper number to a customer service department! And when you do call the one you you can, it is some young call centre operator who does not care at all about the reputation of the company, how customer service is expected and provided in this country!! Trust me....don't make this mistake!!

edited post from 1 Star (at that time wanted to give zero stars) but what was Dell Finance's slow pace, got covered by the sales department. It took quite sometime but finally solution came out. Laptop in turn got delivered at a shocking quick pace! This Dell G7 17.3 inch is a beast, would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for high performance creativity work and also high gaming and the battery life is AMAZING! 4-8 hours at minimum depending on what creativity work you are doing. 2 hours while gaming, mind you gaming starts all the cooling mechanisms in this laptop. Perfect in every way at the price, coming from someone who only compliments when something is really worth appreciating. already started getting alot of attention from people around so I guess it was some sort of a consolation. Thank you Dell, keep making great stuff and thanks to the Dell sales team too.

A lot of people here are complaining about Dell tech support and order support and not about the Dell Canada office. My experience with the Dell Canada office itself is good. Easy visitor parking, reception staff is friendly. The people I have worked with at the Dell office are very professional. Their business computers and services are generally good quality, and they stand behind their products. I would argue that Dell is probably one of the better computer suppliers to deal with as a business.

Had gotten an Alienware desktop. Always wanted one when I was younger so I just bought one. Love the computer but... Ran into an issue. So I call dell and am told repeatedly it's my fault and I have to pay to talk to someone. There techs have no education it seems. Unprofessional wastes of time that you probably have to yell to get something done. Don't waste your time being nice did it multiple times(3 previous calls told the same thing, seems like they really did not want to honour their warranty). The only time I got anywhere is when I yelled and boy did I yell. It may sound like a horrible thing to say to not be nice but after what I dealt with I will never purchase a dell computer or anything made by dell. I refuse to go through what I went through. The frustration, anxiety, and multiple hours are just not worth it. I've never been so frustrated in my life. I have never lost my cool as bad as I did with dell, and I feel no regret as it was the only way they cared.

Terrible sales strategy. Order a product during black friday 2020. First confirmation email received. Second confirmation email received. Shipping date december 15, 2020. Just check and order was cancelled (probably yesterday) for no reason. No email explaining why... nothing. Lost the chance to buy during black Friday in other place which was the same price. Total disrespectful sales. Not buying from their anymore.

Peter Ziedins

Beyond terrible experience. My order for a computer had different billing and shipping addresses, as reflected on the order. Dell shipped the items to the billing address. Despite calling several times to correct this, they could not get it right. During the last two attempts I was disconnected after being put on hold. Avoid Dell at all costs. Would give zero stars if possible.

Lisa Li

First time to get Dell laptop. I have problem ever since. Computer freezes & shut down all the time. Spent a few hours with a technician to fix the problem. But after a while the same thing. Now crashes more often. Never again.

If there was ever a time I could give zero stars for something, this would be it. No exaggation, this is the 7th time I've tried calling in the last 2 weeks to sort out an order issue, and each of the first 6 times I've been put on hold for an average of 1.5 hours with about 4 transfer each time. Each of these 6 times I ended up hanging up after 2 hours because I just didn't have the time, and because I felt hopeless as every time I'd reach a representative, they would need to transfer me over to a different department. Finally, today I mustered up the courage. Today I decided that I'll get to the bottom of this and wait as long as I need to in this 7th attempt, to sort out a simple order issue once and for all. I'm currently 3 hours and 42 mins in, on the 8th "departmental transfer" waiting to get the right help. Every single rep I've spoken to so far I've shared my tremendous frustration and told them that I keep getting transferred. Each one said "so sorry about that, but we will transfer you to the right department".. and guess what? Same thing happened again. I'm actually laughing at this point. This is beyond the worst CS experience I've ever had. I feel like this is one long painful troll. I'll never buy a Dell product again, you can bet your final dollar on that.

Reza S

Terrible! I have a Dell XPS 15 2018 model. I sent it for a battery replacement since the battery swelled and ejected the trackpad out of its place. After 3 weeks, I was informed that they don't have the parts needed for the repair and sending the laptop back. Beautiful!

John Jang

SCAM..... I would give it a zero star if possible. Plan on purchasing over $1400 of laptop and a case and use their 12 months interest free financing to get these products. I wanted to see the contract first and go over the fine prints but they refuse, they want me to hand over my bank information information first. I have already given my credit card for a credit check and they give me a $4000 loan. Also, they would default me on a 48 months loan first. The first 12 months are interest free but I have to call them up to get the 12 months interest free loan and not to extend it to 48 months. I wanted the 12 months loan immediately but they refuse, they make you call the finance department first to cancel the 48 months and set it to the 12 months installment plan. What happens if they will not answer my phone call or refuse to honor their commitment of getting the 12 months of interest free loan. After several weeks , I have finally caved in and give them my banking information like my chequing account. Did I ever regret that, once they got my banking information they give me my written contract. Closely looking at the contract was the retail price in regular price and it was 25% more than discounted retail price. What a SCAM !! I have contacted "Live Chat" and they confirmed to me that they would not used the regular retail price and the the discounted retail price would be used. That is a big fat lie. This is a SCAM, I really do not understand a big corporation would scoop this low . A word of caution - Buyer's Beware. If they had processed the payment, I would have filed them to the Better Business Bureau. Financing with Dell is a rip off.

The PC`s are very overpriced for what you get. When Dell make pre-builds they under-volt and use the cheapest products they can find. my Buddys PC gave out and it will not turn on. If you are going to buy a PC for gaming, NZXT or Cyberpower is reccomended

Ubayd Mukoon

YOUR ATTENTION PLEASE. Avoid purchasing directly through this company website, unless you have no choice and prepared to be SCAMMED! I purchased a very expensive $2000 laptop, a case for the laptop and Microsoft office for 5 PC. Thank god I received the laptop after 2 weeks and it works. As for the case and Microsoft office, I never received, called dell after a month, spent 1 hr 40 minutes and told me that the case were returned back to them and the Microsoft office (that I paid for) is trial version, after deep investigation, they were able to trace it and agreed that I purchased it, (also they never sent me an email receipt confirming what I purchased) After wasting so much time with them, I asked for a refund, but guess what, they refused, forcing me to allow them to take full access of my laptop to activate the Office, it was not preloaded on the laptop and has nothing to do with the laptop, but they insisted, I purchase office for 5 PC and they should simply send me a download link and 5 office product codes. The laptop was in my wife company, and 1 hour drive away from me, told them that I want a refund, and I don't wanna deal with them ever again, the agent hung up in my face. This is the worst company I've dealt with. NEVER AGAIN!

Awful experience. I had to buy Dell since the company that I worked for, was dealing with Dell for laptops. When I left this organization, I transferred my lease over to another employee but had the worst experience ever. It took them 4 months to transfer over the lease but the shocking aspect of the whole experience is that they kept on charging my account till the transfer and every time I would call, I would be told don't worry we'll reimburse you all of it once the lease transfer takes place and I'm still waiting for reimbursement. Please save yourselves from such an awful experience. I'm never buying any Dell products!!!

Sadi Wali

Horrible customer service, I bought two laptops and they both broke and had to be repaired. Not sure if they're any better now but I seriously doubt it.

Run Ze Gao

Dell, please fix your order verification system. Your customer support is the worst I have ever encountered. I love your products but the process of buying them makes it not worth it to buy your product. Sincerely

If I could leave a Zero I would. I purchased a Dell Inspiron 17 3000 last year May 14th 2020. I decided to purchase the Adobe Photoshop Elements 2020 & Adobe Premiere Elements 2020 Bundle as an add on as my kids were getting into photography and thought would be a good idea. I received my computer and booted it up and registered with Dell and also with Adobe (I know this as I have an account with both). I tested out the computer and also the Adobe Photoshop products temporarily as I mainly use my computer for work. The programs works and I thought nothing of it afterwards. This purchase is listed in the sales invoice for my computer. Covid hit and the Adobe program was never utilized since the initial opening until about two months ago as my phone was acting up with editing something and I was going to use my computer instead. I opened it up and a Pop up window came up and said your trial is over and a press buy button.... This surprised me and closed it and found a temp workaround for myself with my phone. I received an email saying my Dell warranty was going to expire and thought ok I need to deal with this now. Life happened and I missed getting in touch with them until 6 days after my warranty expired. Upshot to this is that they will not help me. Are citing I am out of warranty.....4 different Dell representatives later with the last two being higher up Management all saying the same thing. They last one just now basically washing their hands of this and saying is third party issue and that they only warranty their hardware for 1 year and that if I wanted software support that I need to pay for it. I pointed out that the program that I paid for thru them has never worked as for what I paid for. That when I check on Adobe account I do not have a registered copy of anything and that Dell did not provide any key with my paperwork. I asked where the key was and they just said again that I was out of warranty and was third party issue and that if I wanted software help that I needed to purchase a plan. I sure as (expletive) am not giving them any more money for what I deem as fraud right now for this). If you do a search about this on Google you will find that I am not the only one with this issue and also how the Company deals with any support for this issue. Buyer beware I should of stuck with the Lenovo brand ***EDIT after this review was made and makes this review even worse in my mind about Dell Customer Care and their representatives...... After the above I tried more avenues of finding out where I could get help and ended up on Adobe FAQ and help site. An Adobe Support Community and a ln Adobe Tech of all people helped me with a link to Dell site on how to download redeem code.... And it worked. AN ABOBE TECH not a Dell Tech who all they wanted was me to sign up for an extended warranty plan instead of saying "just go to this link" (HUGE string of Expletives) at Dell and your company. Never again ***

Bought a laptop and it stopped working. The laptop got replaced. The replaced laptop overheats and stops working. I spent days dealing wit the customer service. I paid for 3 years warranty and they could not find it in their system although they got the money. They sent from one representative to another. Nothing got solved and my laptop was not replaced. So I paid $1500 for the laptop plus 3 years warranty and it does not work. When finally I got the top manager on the line in India and complained he said that I can write to Better Business Bureau as many letters as I want because it is him who gets the complains and he will not do anything in my case. It is the most horrible company ever. Never buy anything from them. No company ever treated me this way. What they do is simply a scam.

Try to purchase a product. It told me it will be delivered in 11 days. OK I'll wait. On delivery day product still not shipped even though it still shows it will be delivered. Call support and find out that product is not in stock. This is a technology company who cannot figure out if they have stock or not and inform their customer. Incompetence beyond comprehension.

Worst customer experience. Ship my order to my neighbours home , Waiting 3 days for customer service to release the order. Now they are saying another 24 hrs to fix the address change. Its 5 days still waiting. Never again buying a dell.

THE WORST customer service and technical support imaginable. After over 30 emails exchanged, I am still nowhere near the solution of the problem that seemed simple at the beginning. The agents don't listen, they repeat the template messages, it's like talking to the wall. DO NOT BUY DELL computer EVER!!!

I received an Alienware laptop that took 2 months to make... First week of turning it on, it started having major issues. The screen was freezing, etc. I emailed customer service, they took forever to respond and kept referring me to a …

No value of customer. Dell only works for money. Sales team is poor. No conditions explained at the time of purchase. When u ask for warranty you will hear something new. Overall worst ever experience from Dell customer service. Please don’t buy dell product. Go for Apple instead. Dell doesn’t have value for customers. All they care is just for money.

OVERHEATS WHILE ASLEEP! Extremely disappointed with my Dell XPS 15 and customer service. After calling Dell five separate times and having two technicians come in to repair my laptop, Dell refused to send me a replacement despite my current laptop overheating while it is asleep. I did not expect to spend $2000 on a laptop that is a fire hazard and has poor performance. Moreover, I did not expect Dell to fail to replace a malfunctioning device that is under warranty and a safety hazard. Will keep the laptop in my basement in case it suddenly blows up. I highly recommend staying away from Dell.

I am using dell products from the last 15 years until I made a huge mistake to buy Dell laptop online directly from them I believe that hhey have never tested their products and sell garbage to their customer. The laptop took almost one full day to complete its installation and was lagging 30 minutes even to start. I have to wait 10 minutes even for a simple window to open and same was the case when called technical support who were walking me through different steps that took almost 3 hours but still nothing improved. Then they got a remote access to the laptop and wasting 2 more hours were still not able to resolve the problem. I requested for a return and they were insisting for an exchange. But. I did want to go over the same headache again. I got the return processed by them and sent the laptop back to their Richmond Hill facility. It has been more than 15 business days since they received the return and I am still waiting for the refund or credit memo. Upon several emails. I only hot an answer that return is still in process however their policy says that return will be processed in 10-15 business days. Their customer service is so pathetic that I have called them more than 10 times and each yime goes keep transferring my call from here to there making an excuse that they are not from relevant department or are unable to find any information on my return. I even opened a ticket with the proof of all return email communication attached to it but still no one has replied to that ticket. They don't care about their customer at all and have outsourced their customer service department to gird party ineligible to handle the customers. How unprofessional. Never buy a laptop online firefly from dell

Would have given zero stars if possible. Shipped my laptop to wrong address. Weeks later, have not received it and overseas outsourced customer service is useless. This company has no interest in customer service whatsoever. Worst experience. Feel totally ripped off. Thanks for nothing.

I am contacting, what I am assuming is the Canadian customer service to Dell. I have had the utmost absolutely worst customer service, trying to order a product from Dell's website/company. I originally ordered an Alienware desktop from them on the 19th of July, and was made aware, through automated email response, that I should wait 5 business days for confirmation of the order. 5 days come and go and I received absolutely no contact or confirmation. So I place a call to customer service....IN INDIA??? I speak to a rep named Shabana S B, and she promises me the world; free expedited shipping and her word that I will be receiving my desktop at an early date for all the inconvenience the Canadian company has caused me and that I would be receiving confirmation in about 2 business days. Flash forward 8 days later, no confirmation. I call back thinking that my order has been processed and shipped; I mean it has to be because extra special care has been taken to make sure that no more blunders have happened with this order since the original order date. I was wrong. I find out that the order has not been shipped, or even processed for that matter, and I'm over here waiting like a jackass for nothing. I asked customer service, situated in India, for an explanation, only to be met with nothing but poor excuses as to why they could not do their job within a fraction of competent. She then informs me that she would look into the matter and call me back within a few minutes. An hour passes and I have to call her extension back to get her bumbling on the line, talking about she was just about to call me back. I demanded to speak to a Manager. Raquish S answers the phone, who then informs me that he could do nothing about the ambiguity around why the product was not shipped and that he could not offer any type of compensation or even a solution to the problem besides a call back 3 days later, to let me know if they could even ship my product out in a timely fashion. I then ask for a number or contact in Canada that I could speak to, seeing as this is a CANADIAN COMPANY and that there seems to be absolutely no accountability for the horrible service that was being provided to me in INDIA, and after pulling teeth he finally gives me an email address that ends up being a dud. Anyway, needless to say, I was forced to cancel my order, after waiting 15 days and finding out that they could not even guarantee me with a shipping date. I most will never order a product from Dell in my life again, due to this outrageous experience, and I will definitely be spreading caution to all friends and family who are considering buying from Dell. This is an absolute joke. I, as a customer what I thought to be a reputable company, am in disbelief with how utterly incompetent and just outright bad the customer service is within this company. It's almost comical. Why am I speaking to incompetent "specialist" in India that do not have the company's self interest at heart or and understanding of how to be sincere?? Why is there no accountability or communication with the customer when the many issues arise?? Why is no compensation or solution provided to someone looking to spend $1800 on a computer?? STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY

Dell support did great job on my request. A special thank to Ms. Rachel for doing great job on my support requst for Laptop 17 3000 series! Good job Rachel! Good job Dell.

DELL Canada Warranty is nothing but a Cash Grab. I needed a repair to my Laptop with warranty and they informed me with a long warranty file that is so long to read the gotchas that they want to charge me $300 for repair of a laptop I've had for less than a year. Basically I have discovered by my experience with DELL that they aren't making much of a profit on their computer sales because it's the CASH GRAB WARRANTIES that is making their profits. So Beware of that fact when buying from DELL!

Worst brand ever. Alienware r6 with a defective gtx 1080 that runs 20% lower than normal version, and the ram is one stick instead of two which disable dual channel. It is hard to imagine a game desktop manufacturer build computer that …

I've had my DELL LAtitude 5400 work laptop now for 6months. Solid no issues. 8th Gen i5 w/16Gb RAM for design work and conference calls via team it keeps up. Sometimes the fan can be loud when CPU usage is high. Other than that great computer. Bought a G5 Desktop on sale this week. Hoping the same quality is there for my personal use computer.

By far the worst customer service experience I have ever had. I would NOT reccomend any Dell products or to use their repair center. I had my computer estimated for repairs by a repair technician close to me, who let me know it would be an easy fix and only one cable needed to be replaced. The technician said that it would take over a month to get the cable in from Dell, and suggested I send my laptop to Dell instead. And thinking that they had more expertise with their own computers I sent it in to them, which I had to pay 60$ for diagnostics. Then they tell me that more parts need to be replaced and it'll cost me 400$ and when I asked for only the cable to be replaced they said they wouldn't be liable for it not working, essentially blackmailing me to pay more. There was no other damage when I sent in my product and they refuse to acknowledge that the customer is right and continued to tell me I was wrong and not let me speak, while telling me the same thing over and over again and not telling me exactly what exactly was wrong. I also had one of their representatives hang up on me. And the so called "manager" who says that he's the highest up and doesn't have a boss I could talk to, acted very immature when I told him I wanted a refund and my laptop back. He did agree to refunding half of my payment for the estimate and then hung up on me without confirming when I would recieve the refund or when I should expect my laptop. Extremely unimpressed by everything. Especially since they refused to go over anything with me in email and only corresponded through the phone, which was extremely inconvenient for me.

Of there would be the option if giving 0 star I would give it for sure. One of the worst customer service and the way they handle their customers. They are giving me chocolates about my exchange request since 1 months.

Salvador Calbado

I will never buy from you again. Your Dell update of BIOS broke my motherboard. Since my 2700 Dollars PC is out of warranty your customer support refuses to help or replace the piece that YOUR UPDATE broke. This is terrible customer service and I hope you imagine my frustration. You just lost another customer.

Anique Simone

I would give 0 stars if I could. I rarely write a bad review but I was compelled to do so with Dell. TWICE I placed an order WEEKS in advance of Christmas and both times I was assured by the sales rep that I would receive my packages on time. BOTH times my delivery date has come and gone without a word from Dell. Apparently, both times, my orders have been placed on back order. Neither one of my orders have/will be delivered on time for Christmas. AVOID ordering from this company at all costs especially during holiday times, even if you are ordering weeks in advance. And customer service is absolutely useless. They can't seem to do anything without having to call you back in 24 hours.

Bought an expensive laptop from them. After 2 months, the fan started making a grinding noise. Went through all the necessary steps to troubleshoot and it ultimately lead to a single CPU fan being the issue. Instead of offering to send the part so that I can replace it, they put me through a bunch of loops of "troubleshooting" of which was a complete waste of time. After even speaking to a supervisor, they finally put me through to purchase the part. (I am still within warranty but I told them I'd rather purchase the fan myself and replace it myself, goes to show you their level of "troubleshooting"). After being directed to sales, they told me they do not have the part in stock. Trash service. I know not to buy my next hardware from there (it craps out early, not even 6 months) and I recommend other companies like Lenovo!

P 911S

Worst customer service. I made an order November 22 and I keep receiving email saying it will be delayed to later than February 14 2022. This is ridiculous, after doing a research for their email address… I tried to contact customer service to receive my refund and they respond that it will be refunded in the next 3-5 business days, it’s been 2 weeks since then.

Duc Phuong Vu

The worst service i have ever tried . I made an order ( March 2 , 2019) and until now (March 13 , 2019) they ask that give them 24h to raise a request to Logistic , it just create shipment . Now i have no idea when i can receive my laptop . I am really dissappointed . Dont buy anything in Dell Canada . You will ask for a bad experience.

If i could give a zero star for a review i would, unfortunately this company is quick to take your money yet you can’t even resolve your problems as you speak with roughly about 15-20 people who transfer you back and forth. No one is on the same page, they don’t know their own policies or procedures. No one calls you back, no one responds back to your email. I will NEVER buy another Dell again and I will make sure to tell anyone and everyone who is looking to buy a computer or any product from this company to save their money and time.

On March 13th, my daughters Dell computer (7months old) wouldn’t start. She called Dell Canada support and they arranged for a home service call for a part replacement for the morning of March 15th. It’s now 9pm on March 16th, with close to 6 hours on calls with Dell and their third party support (Unisys) and still no technician, and no confirmation on when they will show up. When the technician failed to show up for the 9 to 11am appointment by noon on March 15th - my daughter called for a status and was assured that the technician was ‘coming soon’. A subsequent call at 2pm assured her of the same thing. I took over and started my journey speaking with Dell at 4pm on March 15th. The first call was 45 minutes long - resulting in my having to call the technician directly. The technician advised that he was done for the day and could come Monday. At no point did anyone call to say that they wouldn’t meet their service appointment. I explained to the technician, as I explained to Dell - the computer needed to fixed Saturday as my daughter was returning to Ottawa, for university, Sunday morning. Calling Dell’s technical support desk again at 530pm, they explained to me that they could not help me, as they contract out their home service technicians to a third party (Unisys) and that I would have to call them. (Why do I need to call Dell’s vendor?). Calling the vendor - they assured me my issue was escalated and they would have a technician come after 730pm March 15th. At 9:00pm - I was on the phone again with Dell where they again asked me to call their vendor. I was on hold for an hour before I finally hung up. During each call I was told that the issue was ‘escalated’. At 1am on March 16th, I tried Unisys again. I spoke with an agent who assured me that a technician would be onsite between 930am and 130pm. With no communication from them by 1pm, I call Unisys and they continued to promise that a technician was scheduled to come - that my call was ‘escalated’ to the technical manager. I called again at 2pm... at 3pm and at 4pm. Each called resulted in the same response - ‘yes, your call has been escalated to the technical support manager and no - there wasn’t anyone else that I could speak with’. . During my final attempt about 5pm - a new customer service rep at Unisys advised me that they do not provide weekend support for this type of issue. (WTF??? Why am I only being told this now?). However- he would ‘escalate’ ????. (My definition of escalation and that of Dell and Unisys are quite different). In fairness - he did escalate to a different technical support manager- but obviously this manager cared about customer support as much as the first- as this one also did not call me back. At 930pm on March 16th - I have yet to receive a call back for my ‘escalated’ service request from Dell or Unisys. After being housebound for 2 days waiting for service I still have no idea when a technician will appear. I am now left scrambling to figure out how to send my daughter back to university with a functioning computer - during the final few weeks where assignments are due. I had paid for the extended onsite service when I purchased her computer. For what? Promises of escalation? Lack of willingness by Dell and their third party vendor to provide their promise of technical support? To be housebound for two days waiting for a phantom technician? To still be left wondering when this will be resolved? With no means to speak with someone In charge who could help - I resort to this - posting my utter disappointment on Google.

My advice to anyone that reads this is to stay away from Dell if possible. If you do purchase from them be very careful and ask lots of questions about exactly, and I mean exactly, what is covered under any warranty you might purchase. I purchased my laptop less then 4 months ago and mistakenly purchased every warranty offered only to find out a replacement AC adapter won't be honored because the wonderful people at Dell consider it faulty due to "wear and tear". No s!!t Sherlock! Maybe if Dell didn't pass off a cheaply Made in China product to its customers, there'd be less issues. I suppose they don't expect someone to actually plug in and remove a charger from a laptop. I've escalated and still no luck. I was advised by a supervisor to visit the dell replacement parts online store to purchase a new one. Good luck with that! I won't be giving Dell another dollar of my money and will look at a third party seller. When requesting to communicate with the higher up that made the final determination, I was told it wasn't possible to speak to anyone above the supervisory level. Great customer care all around Dell. This was my first and definitely last Dell purchase.

I wish there was a zero star to choose from. The worst company I have seen. Disaster customer service. They wasted months of my time, many times on different orders and they just don't care.

My experience was a bad one. Will never buy again from dell after my warranty expires. Update Dell C/S got back to me and rectified the issue I had. But I had to get the attention of higher ups in the organization. If not it may have not happened. Any way, I am glad it ended well. I will up the stars to 4 from 1.

Had a very hard time with a purchase from them. Major inconvenience . Wouldn’t recommend.

Emily Boissoneau

TERRIBLE! There customer service is a gong show. I called because my computer went dead after 3 weeks. I was on the phone for 3.5 hours and was transferred 13 times, THIRTEEN! I took tally marks on my paper. I have sent countless emails and called sooooo many times, all I get is “they’re working on it” it’s actually been 58 days and counting! Sad to say, I feel comfort knowing I am not alone judging from these reviews ????

Product is supposed to be great, but they have by far the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. Every step has been a struggle, right from trying to purchase the product, recieving a defective product, when attempting to repair the xps unit they ended up making it worse, and then stated that the product would take a long lead time to recieve a new motherboard. I was relying on this laptop for an exam, which made it very difficult to work with. Then finally, they suggested to change the laptop and 'understood' the urgency weeks after, and somehow the repalcement unit was on hold for couple of weeks. Once I received the replacement unit, it was non-compatible with my docking station which I bought for the orginal xps. When asking for a refund and return of the docking station, they stated that it was my fault, and didn't update their own personal system with the past history. Now even after several days of going back and forth with a rep, they will not help find a resolution nor give me a refund on the docking station. I've wasted countless hours, stressed over every single stop of dealing with dell, and felt horrible every step. Ideally a consumer should be able to purchase a laptop and recieve it with ease. If it needs repairs, they shouldn't have to wait for weeks. I can see why the Corporation I work with has decided to stop using dell on a global level. STAY AWAY IF YOU CAN!

Owen Armsden

My mom works in a fairly big company, and their computers are all dell. They have never had a single problem with their computers, which are dell computers. They run very smooth. People that are complaining are not using much money. To get something fast, you must spend about 549.00$ with any computer company. Dell is a must buy, as they beat all other computer companies. My favourite Dell computer is the Vostro series.

Ordered a new laptop two weeks ago. Still not here. They issued an escalation but I can't get anyone to respond. They took my money and no product!

Your "pre-built" sale PC's are advertised as "ready to ship" but they're not even manufactured yet? Now I can understand if there is a delay with the shipping company but is it not considered false advertising when your "ready to ship" "pre-built" PC's experience a manufacturing delay?

Deryk Clark

Yikes. I was promised my new machine by the end of February. I was assured by the sales rep that this would happen - 100%. It's now March 9 and the Purolator shipping status still reads "Shipping label created", which means Dell hasn't even shipped it yet. I hope the laptop is better than the customer service experience. Seems that the sales team will tell you anything to make a sale.

Purchased a Dell laptop on March,27,2017. They applied all the discounts and offered me a lucrative deal, which I took, given I make the total payments within 12 months. I asked them to take extra charge out of my account every month and complete the outstanding balance in 12 months. Saw on Feb,13,2019 that they have taken 40 bucks from my account. I called customer service and they told me that i had to call them back after 6 months of purchase to give the re-approval to continue the extra payment on my account to sustain the promotional discounts. They simply added all the charges back to my account after 6 months. They said their system doesn't allow them to contact the customer, send a reminder email or they cant call customer back to notify them about this. I feel mugged guys and can not believe that these companies do that to customers even in the year of 2019. The laptop was defective and i sent it for repairs like 3 times and to this date, it is still defective. Now i am paying 300$ extra for overcharges on the account to finally close it and get rid of this horrible laptop provider company. I am not a negative reviewer but i recommend everyone to NEVER BUY A DELL LAPTOP EVER. You will be scammed just like the way i got.

Horrible experience as both a Personal account and a Corporate Account . Personal Account Experience: Paid for out of warranty express service supposed to be 2 days for shipping box and 3 days for diagnostic and repair. Took more than a week for the box, then they shipped two different dispatches. Diagnostic performed, and no one contacted me, instead claimed they did not receive the package with my computer, despite it being shown on Purolator as being delivered Corporate Account Experience: Ordered a work laptop that claimed it was in stock with rush shipping. Month passes no station. Call support, claiming that it had not been assembled yet, raised concern that it was supposed to be a stocked item order. Another month passes before I get my work laptop. Customer support line spends more time repeating your statements and giving platitudes then actually providing service. They will transfer you between multiple parties, and often disconnect you during the transfers. If you have an option to get your computers elsewhere, do so. Anything would be a far better experience.

If I could give Dell -0 Stars I would. Worst experience I have ever encountered. I bought a Dell chromebook a little over a year ago. This computer has not been dropped it is mainly used for school purposes. The cursor stops working at random times. Mind you it works at first and then stops after a while if you use the touch feature more than the track pad. I called to get some support tonight. 1st agent tried to tell me I have to pay for advice $19.00 to be exact. ARE YOU KIDDING ME I will not be paying for advice I paid for this computer you should be providing service. Then spoke to someone else they told me to purchase more warranty it would cost the same as the computer. REALLY so your saying your computers are garbage. My next option is to ship the computer out which again cost a good amount of money then they will send me a quote to fix it then they will fix it after payment has been received. Come on this is honestly the worst service I have ever encountered. This is clearly something with the computer its self. I have spent hours trying to google solutions and have tried all of them, and by the reviews a lot of people have had this problem and nothing has gotten done about it. For a large company I expected way better customer service. Very disappointed and I will never be purchasing another DELL.

dallas georgie

this has been the worst shopping experience - I never received an order confirmation - when I tried to call there is no local support. I finally got an order confirmation email to me and NONE of the links on it actually worked - I felt like I was being phished. Tried to talk to someone in North America with no luck. Was told I couldn't cancel my order for 24 hours (what????) WORSE PURCHASING/CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE. W

EVERYONE PLESASE READ THIS BEFORE BUYING. purchased a Dell Desktop Mar. 17 2021. When I went to Checkout they told me Shipping and Arrvial Time would be in 8 days. At this point I was happy to pull the trigger and purchase the product I chose because of the promises that were made. Needless to say, as soon as the transaction was complete, that's when everything went downhill and became a lie. Almost one month later, after numerous phone calls and Emails, and be aware, every phone call / email is the exact same script they are all trained to say. " We are sorry about this, there is a part shortage, but I am expediting your order so it is priority. " I'm serious people every email and phone call they all said the same thing but the best part was they all had no idea about the previous conversation. Not to mention you can't understand anyone because it's all outsourced to India. Now Come Apr 19 ONE MONTH later. I get my Desktop, I'm eger to Set it up. Now keep in mind I spent over 2.5K for this machine. As soon as I set it up it turns on, and shuts off. Turns off and I get blue screen of death, everytime, until the last time the computer wouldn't even start and if it did it would overheat and shutdown. I called right away, they said it is a defective GPU. DEFECTIVE GPU ON A $2.5K COMPUTER!! For one month this computer was in Production and they tell me its defective!??? What the hell are they doing ? Where is the PRE INSPECTION !?!? So They tell me they can send a replacement order in 8 days express and are sorry blah blah. BUT I need to send the computer to them within 5 days or I get charged. So I have to RUSH and get this computer back to them ASAP but these guys can take as long as they want once they have your money. Jump forward to Apr.19 I get a new order invoice saying New Delivery Apr. 28. Well it's Apr 29 I've called and guess what ?! THE EXACT SAME RESPONSE " Part Shortage, will expedite order Blah blah" People please take this review as a sincere guide to RUN. Please do not buy anything from this company. They don't care, they don't take pride in their products and everything is outsourced to India and Mexico / China. I know the Financial Finacing and prices are nicer than some other but please please consider every other option before dell. You will not receive your computer you order today for more than 1- 2 Months. Please stay away. I wish I never delt with this company. And never will again and will continue to make sure others do as well so they never have to go through this terrible terrible process.

If I could give less than one star I would. Dell's technical support is by far the worst experience I have ever had in my entire life! I bought my laptop last year and the key board is not working. I placed a call end of November and they gave me the runa round saying my part would be in 7-10 business days. I called and emailed constantly. Then they said there was a delay. Then they said the part is in and still in the warehouse. Then they said the technician will call you within 24-48 hours. Then they said technician will email you within 12 hours. It's been over 4 weeks on--not impressed at all!! They have outsourced their calls to India and the staff there read their lines from the script saying you will get a response and nothing happens. Very frustrating this experience is. I will never buy Dell again. Never!!!

Joel Tan

Worst customer service ever. My wife ordered an Alienware for my birthday and it took them 2 weeks to process everything since its a customed unit. Shipping day came and Purolator missed the delivery since no ones home since both of us were working. My wife asked me to pick it up from Purolator depot, she gave me a signed authorization letter and her government ID so I can retrieve the package. Purolator said that its Dell’s policy not to give the package to anyone other than the receiver. So She had a chat with them and said that Dell is authorizing me to retrieve the package. Guess what, we received an email that the package will be returning to Dell because it was cancelled! She had a chat again and the agent said it will take them 1-2 business days to revert the request to return to the sender! What a total chaos that is to ruin someone’s weekend!

hamed mohammadi

I cannot agree more with all the other reviews on how horrible the customer support is. Unfortunately, due to great experience with Dell few years ago, I purchased some laptops from Dell which I regret it every day. The customer service here is a joke. Save yourself some hassle and stay away.

The absolute WORST company and customer service I have ever dealt with. I would give negative stars if I could. Each time I've called in I gotten cold transferred a minimum of 4 times before i get to right right person. I've spent over 3.5k on a laptop that stopped working after 1 year due to a faulty charger given to me from dell. I have to spend $500 to get it fixed because it is 1 month out of warranty. I've owned a dell inspiron before and it was the worst laptop I've ever owned (started falling apart and was completely useless after 2 years) and I made the absolutely moronic choice of choosing an alienware 17 laptop. Had issues with it since day 1 and a faulty charger has now shorted out my motherboard. I would not recommend dell to anyone. Please save your money and your sanity and go with literally any other lap top brand.

Olivia Oberholster

My experience with Dell has been nothing but negative. I purchased one of their laptops which worked very poorly from the start. After trying to talk with Dell over the phone (in which I was transferred to 6 different people) they said that I would need to pay 300$ to repair this laptop that came to me in poor condition. After refusing they agreed to replace the parts in my laptop that appeared to be broken, this process was repeated a few times until I just gave up. The fact that their product didn't work well was frustrating, but the worst part was their awful costumer service.

Kuntal Shah

DO NOT BUY DELL EVER EVER EVER! A SERIOUS WARNING to laptop buyers!! It is a horrendous experience dealing with the Dell Customer Service and Technical Support dept. You get footballed between the two dept with both of them acting as naive as they can be! You end up wasting your tremendous time explaining the same thing again and again just to even raise the Ref# or Case#. I have Technical issue with my laptop and have wasted my time with Dell Technical Support for trouble shooting. It did not get resolved inspite of spending hours. Not only this, my brand new & barely used Inspiron 15 3000 is super slow, cannot multi-task and does not even respond to my clicks half the time. I am requesting for refund in decent manner and Dell is trying to make it as hard as it can be! I have used Acer, HP, before this and have never had any disappointment and frustration with their customer service.

Yashar

I placed an order and waited for a long time and never heard back! No shipping, no cancellation! This happens when a company become a cheap one by switching to overseas call centre/customer service

Benjamin John Sibal

Horrible online experience with Dell. I purchased a monitor on the website and did not receive a confirmation email after a few days from my order acknowledgment. I then called Dell and was transferred many times only to find out a representative supposedly sent me email cancellation due to no stock. Now, I have no monitor and wasted a few days waiting for a cancelled order. Do not ever buy from them online.

Stephanie Marando

The worst of the worst. I agree with other's that if I could give them negative stars I would. I bought a laptop through dell 3 years ago and both the laptop as well as my experiences with customer service has been nothing but agonizing. First of all, dell support offers NO free services of any kind. I could not even get advice as to a software issue my computer was having without being told that it would cost me $100 to speak to an IT person. The devices are also terribly built- my laptop had two side hinges to support a brick of a laptop that weighed 10 pounds- eventually the hinge started to deteriorate and I had to pay $300 for a defect of their product. Recently I experienced an issue with an automatic software update that was out of my control and the only response they could give me over the phone when I asked for any potential solution was "the product is not on warranty....so you have to send it in". So frustrating as if these problems were a result of my own doing, I would completely understand and not question having to pay. However, these have been due to the low quality of their products or a software problem out of my hands, and they are so inflexible to do anything to help the customers. On top of it all...they clearly do not care about these reviews and the awful rating they have, as their services have not improved at all over the 3 years. I cannot emphasize enough not to go with Dell....DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Nisha P

The laptop itself has been great (6 months post buying). However, terrible customer service, this too after sending me a defective laptop. How do you not check to see if the keys on the keyboard work before shipping out a new laptop? Update (6 months): the Canadian or local branch I ended up talking to was helpful and a technician came by. He was professional and got the keys fixed.

Frank Crisostomo

Last year, I accidentally deleted most of my files and apps for performing a system repair. I didn't know it will happen because my laptop didn't notify me that it will happen and I was so depress. Because I don't know anything about local I.T, data recovery third party, overwritten harddrive, and some bullshit back then, so I call the Dell customer service before doing something stupid and I was connected those people from India still even though I used the Canada Dell phone number. I spoke those two Indian customer services. The first person was the outgoing one. After I speak to him about my problem, he was telling me what to do by scanning my laptop system and told me that he can re-install all my apps and recover some of my files and he make me feel better. When Saying that he can recover some of my files, it must mean that he would recommend me to use the third party tool data recovery if only he didn't left for the second person to taking over. But then that dumbass inexperienced second person was taking over according to their schedule. When the second speak, he sounded like he didn't care about me and my problem. When I told him about my problems, he said that my files will not be recovered after I paid $200 for monitoring my system and he ended up doing what I can do by installing the apps from the website. Now my hard drive has been overwritten due to his lack of intelligence. He should have provide me about local I.T. to help me with but it is too late for me. Thanks to his bullshit. If you guys have been experiencing data loss recently by reformat, do not storing new files, reinstall apps, open website, or anything to your computer to prevent overwritten harddrive, please go to any data recovery service company.

I have no words for this company. I ordered desktop monitor on January 9th. Deleviry date was Jan 19. The Jan 26th. And then it wasn't updated never again. …

S. F.

Too bad 0 stars is not an option. Worst customer service period! Long long time customer. My last purchase was 2 chromebooks and a gamer . A few days after the warranty expired, each one started to have problems with the battery, charging pack and motherboard. Called for support and was told I was out of warranty and they refused to help. Just terrible Service given my long standing with the company and the fact that 3 units failed less than a week after thr warranty ended. NEVER AGAIN DELL. YOU CAN COUNT ON THAT.

Evan “TomJay” Thomas

I bought 3 Monitors for a surround setup the monitors do not work i have called their customer service since i bought the monitors and every time i get the run around including hung-up on i have called a least ten times and every time i get sent to a call center in India. I cannot believe how badly i have been taking advantage of seeing as i bought 3 of their ultra sharps with a 10 thousand dollar computer i was building i cannot believe how disrespected i have been by there customer service first time purchase this was all bought less then a year ago and the reason i bought was for piece of mind i called in again back in June within warranty and said that i need to have the monitors replaced because they don't function in any way that is described they only work with HDMI and not a full capacity they function as a television not full rgb spectrum I originally bought them because of display port which do not work never mind the display port chaining that they sold me on now one of the monitors the screen shakes and looks like its dimming and going to die... the biggest problem was their customer service they said to me that i was still within my warranty but that because I only had 2 months left on it they were not going to replace them knowing that i had 3 years on the monitors I was shocked they transferred me to department after department i was on the phone for 5 hours until i had to give up for health issues i had to call in 10 times in a row because they would transfer me and just hang up on me it was so stressful that i couldn't call anymore because i felt like i was going to faint from the stress i have never been so badly offended ever **update just called in again and spent an hour and a half on the phone transferred to 3 wrong departments again every department spending 45 minutes talking to different people and at the end of my explanation told i was in the wrong department so i cannot do it anymore i cant explain the situation over and over the last rep wanted to transfer me again and i said that i cannot believe this is happening again it like June all over spent 5 hours on the phone and was transferred from rep to rep with meaningless apologizes this is a nightmare how can it be so difficult to have a warranty honored whats the point i cant believe that dell would let this happen here in Canada how do that not know whats going on and how we are all being treated

Mohammad Khoshghalb, CPA, CGA

Never again will I buy a laptop or desktop from Dell ... The products keep getting worse and support is atrocious. I have spent the entire morning contacting tech support. I've been told I had the wrong department, hung up on twice and still no resolution. They just keep apologizing but have offered zero solutions.

Joe Ferguson (Average Joe)

What a nightmare experience. Ordered the computer on Aug 12th for a Aug 19th delivery. Without any reason why, or even an email, the delivery date was kicked out to Sept 8th. We emailed the sales contact that processed our order multiple times, with no response. Then the order was kicked out again to Sept 22nd. Still no official notice, and no response from Dell. Contacted the main customer service line, and they said it’s because the bank has not authorized the account for payment. Contacted the bank. They said that no one has ever contacted them. Contacted Dell, the first rep said that it was the bank. They transferred me...to the wrong department. Called the correct department. They said it had nothing to do with the bank, and it was just production. Talked to production again, they said they don’t have record of anything. Transferred to commercial sales to answer questions, Of course, they can’t help me. Tried to cancel the order, they had to transfer me. Sent me to the wrong department again. After two and a half hours on hold, being transferred, and listening to reps apologize but then have no idea why I’m talking to them, I was able to get the ordered cancelled. Terrible Terrible Terrible.

Dave Long

I've always had Dell's and never had problems other than some idiotic virus which is hardly Dell's fault. I've seen people ask for ridiculous favours and make demands that make my head shake. To read reviews on anything, you have to consider that many bad reviews are unfairly written by bitter people always looking for a fight who have not been able to return a 14 year old laptop. People are quick to write bad reviews when peed off but no one bothers to write when they're happy. Lots of brave people on the internet when they can't be confronted or rebutted. That said, some complaints are valid but you have to take it all with a grain of salt and go by your own experiences.

Rafael Tessa

I've ordered a monitor on February 13 and the product still has not been shipped yet. What a shame! Guys put the product on sale and don't have it in stock. Doesn't even know when I'm gonna get the monitor.

Eric Papa

WORST BUYING EXPERIENCE EVER!!!! My order has been postponed 6 times so far! I don't trust in their expected delivery dates anymore and just about to cancel my order. Their manufacturing team definitely don't have any idea of what is happening internally and don't have any idea of what is coming from their suppliers!!! They are giving delivery dates totally randomly, postponing them every week!!!! So disappointed...

Leigh Parrish

Totally disappointed with DELL - no way of communicating with someone here in Canada! Answered their online service review survey for a recent inquiry in regards to my Inspiron 3552 with absolutely zero feedback or customer satisfaction follow up from DELL Canada. Here's my story: Feedback to DELL through online survey – May 15, 2019 Waseem (tech support agent) did what he could for the moment, but the instructions were not always clear. I ran the Diagnostic as instructed Friday, May 10 with no results. Waseem phoned me with further instructions and then emailed me further instructions. I ran the Diagnostic test again all day Saturday, May 11. All day because each time the test got to the end, I clicked the forward arrow and it brought me back to the beginning without my knowing - very frustrating. The sluggishness, freezing of programs, error messages for non-functionality of Drive F for SDHC Card has not changed one bit because no analysis from your (DELL) team was done. Totally satisfied with my first DELL product but not with this one. Purchased this product in July 2016, contacted DELL on several occasions since this purchase - September 23, 2016; Support test January 28, 2017; DELL analysis April 10 2017; and more recently starting May 8, 2019 with no concrete resolution to the problems. I am very disappointed with DELL, and this product, for its non-commitment to resolving my situation. Ideally DELL should exchange this INSPIRON 15-3552 for a brand-new reliable product.

Susan Vaillancourt

Absolutely the most horrible customer service anywhere. I have been trying to get a faulty camera replaced on a new laptop for over a month. Have spent countless hours on the phone with them trying to get it resolved. Everyday, it's like it's groundhog day... you think there may be resolution and then you get an email saying they've closed the ticket and you have to call and spend another hour and a half to two hours going over the same issue with a different person, they re-open the ticket and nothing. I will never, never, never buy another Dell product.

Elizabeth

Worst customer service ever. They are liars and thieves with terrible products. They would not refund my shipping fee even though it was in the window for free shipping returns because the product I bought froze upon 1st use. Attempts to get a shipping number resulted in sending me to Visa and then the United states. All they would offer for reimbursement was a gift certificate for Dell. I am reporting to Better Business Bureau for false advertising. Refunds for computer took multiple email (no response) and telephone communications. I have not been refunded my shipping cost and talked to rude man to boot. I will never recommend this company sand will share my story on line and verbally with everyone i know.

Stefan Cotoi

I bought a piece of hardware in early November online and unfortunately, the product did not work. I returned the same day by Purolator. My package was signed off and processed by Dell mid-November. It is now nearing 2 months and I still have not received my refund. I have called numerous times and wrote several emails, very disappointed with the customer service.

andrew liasi

Why am i not surprised dell got a 1.7 .... Been waiting on a laptop since jun, delivery just keeps getting pushed back and back..... i'm starting to wonder if they can deliver on the promise of a new laptop at all ???!!!

Omar Abdulkareem

Unfortunately, I decided to buy a laptop from Dell. Best built quality, terrible and slow customer service. In May 3rd, the laptop had been shipped, Purolator decided to deliver it to me by an authorized agent. The package didn't come. Dell made an investigation, Purolator did too, and the result was that the package is lost. Recently they made a replacement request. I'm still waiting. BTW, I'm still waiting for a refund too for another device, the refund issued since May 18th (as the customer service agent told me). Dell has the best devices, horrible customer service.

Mitch McDonald

If they say anything to you about waiting on parts for your order, Cancel that order. My Girlfriend recently purchased a R7 Alienware Desktop PC, at the end of January. They were pushing a sale on them to get ride of the old products. So we got a pretty nice discount on it, that is where the problem starts. So we order it wait a week get the Keyboard and monitors, then we get an update pushing the delivery time for the PC back 2 more weeks. So we call the person we were in contact with, They say they will look into it and get back to us the next day. They never do, So we call again, they say its a part and it will be a wait. Then another week goes by we finally get a hold of a manager. And they say its a part and it will be here in 3 days. 3 days goes by no part call again, now they are saying they cannot build the computer because it is a old system and they don't have any in stock. But we already purchased it? So we had to fight to get the same price for their screw up... we still haven't got the computer and are still waiting. Just be careful when buying from them.

Mike Yee

Ordered a laptop for xmass Nov 22 from Dell Canada. Dec 13 still no laptop. Called Purolator and it hasn't even landed in the country yet. Called Dell and they told me it is shipped from overseas with no mention of that and the delay. So it is stuck on a ship sitting outside a harbour somewhere. Cancelled my order and will not get a refund till it gets back to the factory. Who knows when that will be. I Have been a Dell supporter for over 20 years..No More!! Don't Buy Here

Samaunus Safa

Absolutely horrible customer service. Ordered accessories, and they didn't ship. Cancelled the order, and had to wait a month before I got a refund, and went through at least 25 call sessions explaining to them what they needed to look for. Every time they mess up something, they'd say they're sorry, without ever doing anything to fix it. They have very little idea about what they are doing, neither do they have any experience. They specialize in literally doing one single thing, and cannot think to do any more than that, increasing wait times for the most simple tasks. Overall, they're choice to employ inexperienced people, and outsource their support service was a disaster.

James Labrecque

I have been buying Dell PC's for over 15 years. My last PC I got was an XPS 8500 I-7 3rd gen 16 Gigs ram. I received the Windows 10 notice on my machine. Because I work in Tech I went to make sure that my machine supports the new O/S..... Well on Dell's website it has not been tested yet. I did a bit of looking around and seen the NIC card is one of the major issues with this unit and not receiving an updated driver for 10. I called Dell to find out if they have any future plans to undate the driver for the XPS 8500. Was told to deal with Microsoft and see if they have a work around. This is a huge joke on a 2 year old machine that blows the Min spec needed to run 10. If Dell does not pull their Ass (head) out of the sand and support their machines with new drivers I will never buy another Dell and because I work in Tech I will never tell anyone to pick up a Dell. Funny thing is I was about to buy my daughter a Dell for her schooling...... Kiss that sale good bye.

Naomi King

DO NOT PURCHASE!! THEY HAVE THE WORST SUPPORT SERVICE. I had a perfectly good laptop, i had a small issue with the support assist, the last time i had this issue it took 2 hours to fix. 2 days ago i had the same issue, i called and they took 5 hours to not fix the problem but instead render my laptop completely useless. It wont turn on now. They called me back yesterday and told me unfortunately there was nothing they could do and they arent sure how it happened. So i spent $700 on a new laptop then another $300 on the support assist and to thank me for my service they go into my computer and render it useless.

Ribolov Sana

This company shoud be closed by government. They are straight stillng money from people. Can not cancel or return product that took them a month to ship. They straight refused to do so. Buyers be aware.

Mitch G

The combination of outsourced, foreign support with absolutely no authority to do anything other than read their scripts, and shady, slimy protocols preventing you from having any recourse to anything that would actually allow you a positive experience has made this the worst company I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. Tech support and customer care were useless, misinformed and flat out lied to me about the status of my repair request, and the corporate office callously let me know that if I was outraged by their service and no longer wanted to be their customer ever again it was "my decision". Never buy from this company. It's an absolute farce that cares not at all about you as a customer.

andrew murphy (Andy)

I would have put 0 if I can. I got a Dell G3 laptop. When it got to me it was ok. I updated it so that taken about 6 or 7 hours. Windows and dell updates. That part i dont mind. So for the first 21 days it was ok working like it should do. Then Dell's own test said your hard drive needs to get replaced. So called the on the 23rd. Sent a guy out on the 28th. That's ok the laptop still working so no big thing. So the Dell technician replaced the hard drive. Laptop started its thing. So the guy goes. 3 hours later still doing it's thing. Then said cant start reinstall Windows. You cant you dont get a Windows USB drive. So called dell. So after 30 mins on the phone told sending you a new laptop. Should get it in 6 to 10 business days. So after 2 weeks I call to see where the new laptop is. Get told yes we are building it for you. Will take a 2 more weeks. I told them ok Just take this one back and cancel the order. Told you can't its over 30 days. You just need to wait for it. So a fight starts. I told them I payed for the premium support. Not waiting 4 weeks for a new laptop After the first 1 stopped working in the first 21 days. After lots of fighting I asked a lawyer to talk to them and I get a email with the return label and canceled the replacement laptop. Its a bad day when you need to get a lawyer to get them to do there job right.

Maimuna Ejaz

Probably the Worst company to buy anything from. Bought a brand new Laptop for almost a grand and 2 months in, its lagging, apps are glitching and the laptop doesn't run unless its plugged in OR the battery will drain withing 20 mins. I called support and after waiting for 1 hour and 49 mins someone picked up the call and then hung up. Please save your time and money and invest in other companies !

Robert Preduta

Bought a very expensive gaming computer. After a few hours it stopped working. Called support, replaced motherboard, worked a few hours stopped working. Called support again, replaced motherboard, worked a few hours stopped working. Called support third time , same story except they also changed power unit. Called Support forth time, need to replace more, need to wait. Called support, cannot offer refund cause more than 30 days have passed and that because I waited on support to make it work. Basically, a very expensive brick, also known as Dell laptop.

S Z

Beware of Dell! They cheat you! I called to extend the accidental coverage on my computer. Was tricked into paying for a plan which I later found out did not cover accidents. When I called Dell again, they tried to sell me a plan which cost nearly 4 times more. After passing me around for over an hour they said that if the plan was not to my liking I could get my money refunded. No interest in a solution, no sincere apologies for their agent's mistake (or was it regular business practice to cheat a customer?) Never going to buy from Dell again. From the regular agent, to the manger to the escalation department, everyone was incompetent or were they purposely apathetic since they think they are such a big company?

Raj Selva

Dell used to be a solid name for me. I just received what will definitely be my last Dell. It’s an Inspiron 5090 G5 Gaming Computer with Intel Core i7-9700, 16GBRAM and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 6GB GDDR6 for graphics. I consider myself quite tech savvy and have built quite a few desk tops and rigs so far. I saw this on sale over the holidays and needing an upgrade for my gaming needs and feeling lazy, decided to pull the trigger. The specs sounded good for the price. I was immediately disappointed on receiving the package today. It seems to me that Dell went the cheap route with some components but mostly the cooling. What you see so nicely advertised in the pictures in their website is not what you’ll get. Let me start with the CPU cooling fan. To put it simply, it’s inadequate for the Intel Core i-7 9700. Just a rinky dink heat sink and a small fan. The case has one rather small fan. The NVIDIA RTX 2060 graphics card version that I got was a single fan basic unit with single outputs.....no dual monitor setup if you want to go that route. Most, if not all non-OEM versions of this card have double outputs. You’ll get the cheapest version of this card possible. Next the power supply. I’ve always had issues with Dell PSUs. They typically last about 2 years for me and call it quits. This one to me seems rather small for a 460W unit and I fear it will bite the bullet soon after the warranty is up. It’s also a very difficult form factor (long and narrow) to replace. I think what I’ll have to do is to scavenge the parts and build myself a decent rig when the power supply quits. Or I might just bite the bullet and deal with Dell’s difficult return process. Still undecided. Never again.

Kathryn Robertson

I just spent over 1 and 1/2 hours on the phone ( on hold for most of it) being switched from the U.S. ( their number was the one in my email to call for a warranty extension) to Canada in an attempt to have my warranty extended. Since the company uses offshore call centres in countries where it is clear that the first language is not English, I'm sure this added to the confusion. Today was the latest in trying for 5 days to reach someone but since I didn't have time to wait on hold more than 20 minutes, I hung up. After waiting all this time today, my quote, for 1 year, came to over $300. For a computer that is 3 years old. Wow. No wonder this company wanted to go private a few years ago and avoid the scrutiny of the public markets! I can get a far superior computer today for a couple hundred more. I've been a loyal customer for years, including suffering through the changes they made to their outsourced service repair providers and the lack of timely and credible service that ensued. But no more. With at least 2 more personal computer purchases in the next 5 months, and a whole office to recommend replacement computers, servers, etc. I can guarantee that none of them will be from Dell. If I could give the company 0 stars I would because providing even 1 is far too generous.

Fan Fong

Incompetent customer service run by a bunch of Bengalese monkeys. Ordered an Alienware from Dell and they got it wrong. No one at customer support will actually try and help you, they keep transferring you instead and asking for the same information over and over again until you give up. Stay away!

etiou

Customer service sucked. They changed my order like 100 times and added "4 year free warranty" that wasn't free, and when we brought it up they said "Oh, I didn't say it was free."

EGryffindor

As much as I love my Dell Inspiron laptop, they have the WORST customer service ever. I have been transferred many times and they left me on hold for a very long time. I’ve had people answer who were rude, and others who seemed just as clueless as I was. Needless to say, I won’t be spending money on them in the future. I’ve purchased two chargers in the last year and both have randomly stopped working. Customer service was clearly unable to help.

Curtis Ching

Thought I'd review Dell, but didn't realize they already had such terrible reviews. Given their almost exclusive online-ordering sales model, it's shocking that order status on the website may as well be written on paper and mailed to you, because they simply do not update it. Reps are helpful enough, but given the poor processes and systems in place, not a company I would trust to handle any of my business accounts.

May Simaan

Absolutely the worst service ever. No hardware support in Canada. Even though they have an office in Toronto, all hardware fixes have to go to the US. I argued with the tech support that I can drop off my laptop to the office in Toronto, instead of shipping it, which will take 7-10 days. He said that the only way to get my laptop fixed is to ship it to the US. The other option is to purchase the at-your-door service. Where they send a technician to my house to fix it. If the technician exists in Canada, why do i have to ship my laptop to the US.

boris melikov

Horrible Experience. Nothing but Issues. Sound Doesn't Work, Speakers, Headphones, Volume Rockers, unresponsive. Computer is supposed to be very fast (Intel I5) however system keeps crashing and lagging. Horrible customer service. Purchased a Dell Inspiron 7559. Do not buy this Laptop!! You will regret it !! Service center couldnt resolve the issue and ended up deleting half my files on my laptop. Will never purchase any product from Dell.

Nick Franzese

The worst customer service I have ever experienced. I don't know how such a large company could treat their customers so poor, I will never buy Dell after this experience, there was no support for their products and the guys at the call center were completed uneducated on their job. I got transferred around 8-9 times and hung up on a couple of times. Don't waste your time

Annie Reginald

Professional experience, over 30 computer monitor, keyboards all preforming exceptionally well... Keep you computer clean, open them up and blow the dust out once in a while. Stop wining about you orders being late, if you haven't noticed there's a pandemic going on.

Jingrong Dai

Dell customer service is good, but the product is awful! I bought a new 13 inch laptop. It costs me $2500. It can not detect my extend monitor very often. It could not restart sometimes. The open screen is automatically minimized very often. I can not download Office documents from my email... ... anytime I call Dell customer service, they are very patient, but can not fix the problem. It past 1 month refundable period. I have to deal with it. The reason I bought Dell is becasue I can not get the ideal model from Microsoft Surface laptop, which is the best laptop I have ever used.

Anders Ho

Worst customer service. They do not care for customer's satisfaction... Ordered a laptop 2019 June and it should've came with a gift card but they never gave me one til this day I am still e-mailing back and forth with them. It has been over 8 now. They have a case specialist for me by the name of Sweety Rachel, but all she does it send me the exact same email every week that they see are working on it. Never buying from this brand again.

Dean Venturoli

Hope you dont need Customer Service.....very, very poor. I would buy somewhere else next time for this reason. Now I called Canada to resolve the issue as I was unable to get assistance by calling India. She stated you have to call India.....what a joke. Do yourself a favour and dont deal with Dell!!!!!

Spent 4k on the Aurora R9 Alienware. Received the PC and started my gaming. Play keeps freezing, tried some drivers etc but no fix. Called for support, service tag not in system. Told me it would be entered within 24 hours and someone would call after the weekend. No calls. PC still not in system. Called for support, same thing and no one seems to know how to fix it. Absolute worse service I have ever experienced, incompetent and complete lack of service knowledge. Wish I had never purchased this PC.

Worst products ever, will not buy a Dell again. Products only one year old quickly start running outdated firmware with no future support. Every single product has some sort of defect and the worst part of it is that it usually happens just outside of the warranty period requiring extra costs to get no solution whatsoever.

The Black Mace

I ordered a premium laptop and paid a premium price ordered on November 15th it was delayed by 1 month I called and they said they would expedite the order to manufacturing. 1 week later they delayed it a 2nd time by another month I will be canceling and going with a different brand dell has lost a customer do not order anything from these people they are just here to sell you warranty

Cem Sener

Worst company ever. Dell shipped a cancelled order. What a disorganized workflow. The customer care is worse. The representative can't even understand and proceed my request. Moreover he rebuked me on the phone from India. Believe me. Don't even attempt to check their websites. Terrible.

Maki Motapanyane

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE experience. 0 stars. My order of 2 laptops for my kids was turned to 4. Here's what's fraudulent about it. It was done after the correct order of 2 laptops was completed, and arrived to me. So after my order of 2 laptops was completed, and this was the only order I ever placed, Dell charged my credit card for 2 more laptops. Despite an enormous amount of time I have spent on the phone with customer service, including the floor manager of their customer service in India who made all kinds of empty promises that he did not deliver, no rep. has gotten in touch with me (as promised), and I have not been refunded the $700 they fraudulently charged to my card. Now reading the reviews of others, I see I have to worry about the quality of the product as well. I have shared my horrible experience with friends and family and will continue to do so. I will NEVER buy anything from this company again. With so many bad reviews from so many people, you would think this company would care that they are losing customers. Congratulations Dell, you stole $700 from a single mother of two at Christmas time. You have lost thousands of dollars in future purchases through me and my network of friends and family.

Amanda Miles

I warn you not to order from Dell. The worst customer service. I ordered a xps laptop with them and it was expected to come in 2 weeks from the order date (which in itself is a little unreasonable given the times we live in). A week and a half after the order was put in, the expected delivery date was changed to 2.5 months from that initial date. Completely ridiculous. And they would not let me cancel the order until it 'ships'....which, lets be honest, will be decades from now. How the (insert swear word) does that even make sense? Every company should allow a cancellation on a product order. A bunch of scammers. Should be given zero stars.

I bought Dell inspiron, found that camera not working once opened the box. Customer service holding my laptop for for more than 60 days. I lost my job because of this delay as I have to work from home. But still DELL SERVICE not responding to my calls or mails. They not even providing Never experienced such a WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE In my life.... Please dont buy DELL and ruin your life...

S2 (Suuushii)

The most political company ever. Avoid buying from this company as they don't care about your level of service, as long as they grab your money, they won't look back and help you for your product's warranty and issues. I would purchase from …

Manky

I have purchased 3 computers of Dell during their sales and have gotten fantastic deals. Never had an issue with the PC's. Two were high end Alienware computers and one is a high end xps 15. Customer service is fairly poor, but the products have been great. I will keep buying from them in the future.

Felipe Fantinatti

NEVER, for ANY REASON, NEVER NEVER buy anything from Dell! The only thing they can deliver are promises! Horrible company! Run from it!

Paul Maguire

I have been an IT professional for 25 years. I buy higher-end business hardware and max out the capacities. I have tried many vendors and many brands. I always come back to Dell. I have no plans to ever return to another vendor as Dell has consistently shown a clear superiority in construction, case design, durability and value. I have not needed customer service for many years, but back in the 1990s it was excellent and left a very positive impression. There's a reason others have come and gone. Dell is better. I find it hard to believe all the negative commentary here. My last purchase was a laptop about one year ago. It's still fine. Can things really have fallen so far so fast?

I sent my computer for repairs to Dell Canada Inc. and paid everything in advance as requested. Lo and behold Dell unexpectedly returned the computer back to me without carrying out the repairs we had agreed upon. Trying to get a refund is a nightmare. Dell has an India based "customer service" (and I use the term loosely) that is terrible. Shameful that a large corporation would take advantage of small customers this way. There is a word for this: it's called THEFT. Never again will I buy anything from Dell.

Graeme Z Johnson

Tried to get warranty service on my monitor. At first they told me they would send a replacement right away and I was very impressed. The next day, I got an email saying the replacement was cancelled because apparently Best Buy owns the monitor, not me. Spent hours trying to prove to them that I am the owner. Finally promised a replacement, but did not send one. The only thing they sent me was harassing emails telling me to return my monitor to them even though I never received the replacement. Customer service will only get you a call centre and they cannot connect you to anyone in your own country who could resolve this issue. I will never buy a Dell product again.

Anne-Louise McArthur

My new desktop was left in full view on my front porch with no need to sign -anyone could have walked away with it . Made a complaint about this to Dell and got email said my support request was created but it was ignored and no one every contacted me

Shawna Barber

Today I went to purchase keyboards for my office. Dell's website had the keyboard I was looking for, priced at $69.99, but when I added the keyboards to my cart they priced at $99.99. I called customer service to ask why and couldn't even ask my question, because I had to answer question after question before the rude lady would transfer me. I tried the online chat and was thanked for bringing this to their attention, but they wouldn't honour the price of $69.99. I purchased computers from Dell a while back and have been satisfied with that purchase. It's too bad, because I had planned to be a repeat customer, but now I will look for another brand of keyboards for my office and very shortly when I look for new computers, they won't be purchased from Dell. Fix your horrible customer service!

Iris C

Worst company ever. Do NOT buy anything from them. Especially computers. They will send you a piece of junk and then make you return it twice for repairs while making you empty promises on the quality of their product. STAY AWAY. Buy ANY brand other than Dell.

Kaitlyn Mraud

The worst company I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with, I wish Google would allow 0 star reviews. I could write an entire essay about how many times and how many ways they make the repair process even more difficult. My laptop (which was still under warranty) had two detached keys, so I contacted for a repair. One of the first people I actually spoke to on the phone looked up my address on Google and commented twice that my "house is really nice" and asking if I had the "red or the silver car" which was wildly inappropriate and unnerving. After sending my laptop in I receive it back with a Spanish keyboard, to be clear I do not speak Spanish, would not want a Spanish keyboard, and had not had a Spanish keyboard. It then took several weeks for them to take it back, replace an English keyboard which then led to a wiped hard drive and a laptop which wouldn't turn on. They had to then order and replace the entire hard drive. This took approximately two months and there was so much in between that make it exponentially worse. Whatever you do, I cannot stress this enough, do NOT buy a Dell product.

Ness CC

The worst customer service. I ordered a new laptop from the website and had some follow up questions so I called the customer service line. That was hours of being directed between 3 different departments each in Canada and the USA repeatedly before I finally got help. I made sure to call the Canadian line Annoying experience but I didn't think too much of it. I received my brand new laptop - it was broken and had greasy finger prints all over it. Again I had to spend hours of being directed between 3 different departments each in Canada and the USA repeatedly before I finally got help and on multiple days. Whatever associate kept pushing to have someone come to my house and repair the laptop during a pandemic when I should just be getting a new one. I finally have someone put in a request for a new system after they threatened to close my service request because they were unable to reach me for a pointless call where they asked me a few pointless questions that could have been an email. They would have been able to reach me if they respected the appointed available calling times and my timezone which they requested. Fast forward to me receiving my new laptop that should have been accompanied with a return label for the broken one as they promised. But alas there was none so I had to send them an email requesting one and was promised one in within 24 hours. It's been 10 days. I've sent ANOTHER email and I'm now told my request is too old/has been closed and I have to call support to request a NEW service request!?!?!? If the old system doesn't get back in 90 days I will be held financially accountable when it's not my fault. I am not spending anymore hours on the phone with you guys especially since the operation window is so short and like most ppl, I work. This has been a ridiculous 3 month journey. I'm never spending another dime on a Dell product.

Bought a brand new Inspiron 15 laptop in March of this year on sale for I believe 650$ down from 999$... or something close to that. I asked when buying from Best Buy if this laptop will let me write emails, download files from WeTransfer (which is supposed to be safe and secure) and use Quickbooks and finally use excel... They said it will without any problems and could do much more. This computer frustrates me day in and day out with likely lest than 20 hours a month if that for use. It is slow as molasses 90 % of the time. Slower than my 10 year old desk top while using the same internet connection. Also it is not a matter of programs because none have been installed and there is nothing to do with warranty as it is not broken... This is how a brand new Dell laptop retailing for 1000$ is supposed to perform and there customer service has absolutely nothing to say other than "sorry". I will likely throw it in the garbage to spite them for not giving ANY other options when I express how unhappy I am. I offered to pay to upgrade no expecting full value (despite it being in absolutely mint condition, in a laptop bag since walking out of the store) and they had no response but sorry. I wish I bought a MacBook... Terrible product and terrible protocol. Ill never buy Dell again and do not recommend Dell to anyone looking to do anything other than waste time. I am stunned. Also I have done every update that has come out. Have there been no advancements in 10 years?!? Garbage...

I placed an order for wireless earbuds. After the order was completed they informed me of a delivery time that was weeks away. I immediately contacted customer service to cancel the order. It was canceled by the rep and then they sent it out anyway. Now I have to wait up to a month for a refund on a product I might never recieve and have spent a huge amount of time trying to solve. you cant cancel an order 5 min after placing it because two days later they ship it out. way to make your customer pay for your incompetance.

Yu Ao

If there is zero star I'll give zero definitely. I hate Dell, their consumer service totally don’t understand what you are talking about. And they take money from my account without notification. I’ll never ever buy Dell again. If you want to alive more years don’t buy anything on Dell Canada.

Emmy K

Dell partitioned my two physical drives incorrectly right from the very start so now I have to cosntantly delete my old files just to fit in new software... seriously how do you make such a simple mistake. can't contact customer service because apparently my product is past warranty which is fine, but I don't think this should apply to my problem because this isn't a problem that emerged with time, it's literally because someone at dell decided to give the physical drives abysmal partitioning ratios.

c

if i could give zero stars i would. xps 13 2020 breaks after less than 24hrs, i send it for repairs, FOR OVER A MONTH they cant give me a date when it will be fixed, i call and spend over SIX HOURS on the phone just to get help for a refund. to get the refund thye have to send me the computer still broken and I gave to ship it myself to a new place. ABSOLUTE WORST SERVICE NEVER BUY FROM THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do Not Click buy!!! One of the worst online ordering experiences I have ever had. TLDR version: you may get redirected to a different version of what you are buying and you won't know until you get a confirmation. Then, when you try to modify it cancel and re-issue an order, they will make excuses and not do it. It will take forever for you to get your money back. Do not click buy. I searched for and ordered a keyboard and mouse combo (this pics had an English language keyboard). When I got my order confirm about 3 hrs later, it said french. So I thought, no problem, I'll just try to modify the order, or cancel it and replace it with a new one. Nope. If you order on the weekend... you can't because you have to talk to customer service and they are only a M-F operation. And when you call customer service, they can't do anything because 'too much time has passed' which is bs. I did everything available to me in the self serve website and called with in the first hour of the call center opening. They had the nerve to suggest that I place another order, and when the wrong keyboard gets to my house, send it back and then in 5 business days I'll have my refund. I was like - I'm calling you NOW and your catalogue is the reason why I have the wrong item. Why would I give you more of my money????? Still nothing... so they tell me they are going to change the shipping address and it will come back to them and then I will have a refund. Tell my why is purulator sending me emails telling me that this thing is coming to my house???? The next update is that it will he 10-15 business days for my refund? HOW DELL? They have changed the shipping date multiple times for something that was supposedly shipping within 12 hours of me clicking buy. And this is not a customized item mind you. I ordered on the 4th it changed from the 7th to the 12th to the 16th to the 19th. I don't want to have to open a chargeback, but I will because this is ridiculous. Save your stress and pay more for whatever you need. Go to best buy. Shoot- go to walmart. Just stay far far away from this company. They are not who they used to be.

Gaurav Sharma

DO NOT BUY DELL LAPTOPS .I REPEAT DO NOT. THEY ARE VERY SLOW TO BOOT INSPITE OF HAVING LATEST RAM AND PROFESSOR SUPPORT WILL ASK CHARGES TO HELP IN CASE OUT OF WARRANTY NOT WORTH THE MONEY SWITCH TO HP OR MAC

Service Tech today was amazing!! Her name was Ellie, I don't think she even had to work on my computer since they are not supposed to go to customer homes only businesses during Covid-19 crisis, but of course the call centre scheduled a home visit with me anyway. So she worked outside on my tiny table on my little front porch in the awful heat. She was super friendly, stayed and fixed it and so far the issue seems to be fixed! Thank you Ellie!! -- My experiences with the call centre have all been horrendous so far, it seems every time I call with an issue (there have been way too many of them) the original call/request gets "cancelled" in the system somehow, they can see that it was made, but something went wrong, or there was a "glitch" and it was cancelled. This happened with my Dell Finance request and my tech support service request and so nothing happens until I call to ask about the status and then they have to start from square one. There have been so many other problems but no one is going to read that long of a post. All I can say is they need a complete overhaul, extremely poorly managed.

SuzyLee37 lee

I had really positive experience with the customer service side and only have good things to say. I recommend to call or email dell canada directly, not the international dell number. Business support might be better than home, because home laptop is often outsource to other countries, which is what I have read (but I can be wrong)

Michael Noseworthy

A dell monitor under warranty broke at my workplace. Called customer support and was on the phone for 2 hours trying to troubleshoot a monitor, when it was OBVIOUSLY malfunctioning. Finally had enough of trying to troubleshoot with this 'tech' and explained I could have wasted two hours of my work day doing literally anything else more productive. He clearly had no Idea what to do and kept putting me on hold. Went to online chat support and was able to get my monitor warranty exchanged in 15 minutes. Thanks for wasting my time.

Carter Jansen

Please add a zero star option @Google My experience with Dell's tech support was highly unpleasant and was not very helpful in resolving my issue with my laptop (we paid $200 for the warranty btw). The customer service was terrible and took weeks to ship the correct hardware component to my location, the service agent laughed in our faces as we explained our situation and did not respect COVID-19 protocol. In addition, we had to perform several installations ourselves that apparently wasn't "their job area". The laptop did function afterwards, but there were several bugs hindering the performance. Terrible experience overall, I do not recommend purchasing a Dell laptop

Bottom of review has my summary of Dell Canada My experience with Dell Canada has been most frustrating for me over the past few years. My first ever computer was a Dell XPS L501x, and it was not a bad machine but I purchased the low end model... Spec'd with an i3 processor, 4GB of ram, 500GB hard drive & an Nvidia GT420m. I payed a premium price for the machine despite the mediocre specs as I was promised a machine of high quality construction. When it arrived the box and packaging were top notch but the machine its self felt flimsy with the fit and finish being questionable and plastics being painted to like metal all while somehow weighing over 6 pounds. As I needed it for school I kept the computer and while I was not happy with externals of the laptop I found the computer its self to work quite well but that was the only thing going for it. So only a year and a half later I made the worst purchase I've ever made, as I had bought an alienware m14x, now unlike my first computer I had this laptop customized with an "SSD for caching." or so dell told me. When I first brought the computer home still in the box I was unbelievably hyped I had payed twice as much for this machine and my hopes were high! As I open the box and look at my new machine my heart sinks. The laptop once again has the worst build quality and quality control I've ever seen on a laptop. The point at which the palm rest and side of the laptop met there was glue that had oosed out during assembly and dried, the backspace key was broken and there was dust between the screen and plastic of the display. Reluctantly and against the advice of my parents I kept the machine hoping that like my last laptop the computer itself would work like a charm but that hope was also crushed. The "caching" SSD was never formated by dell for caching and do this myself I would have to completely reinstall windows but that wasn't my only problem as when I closed the lid of the laptop to put it to sleep and then re-opened it I would get a blue screen telling me that the SSD did not shut down correctly. The hinges made squeaky noises and it got decent gaming performance for about 5 months before it could barely run bf3 at 10 fps. When I told them of the broken key out of the box I got passed around to different customer "service" representatives. So after spending almost 3000 dollars on Dell laptops I can tell you this, They charge a premium for quality, but there is no quality instead you get cheap and poorly assembled computers. They promise good performance and customization yet they cannot format an additional hard drive correctly and their promised performance is lacking and finally the customer "service" does not exsist. If you contact Dell about a problem with a machine they will fail to meet your expectations in every way. I'm sorry Dell but I had faith in you, you had such promise and a pedigree but you through it away so you could make a quick buck and so now I through my support and belief in you away. Ladies and gentlemen of the internet I have given Dell countless shots a redemption and they failed every time please, please, please, head my words don't buy a Dell and If you ever feel the absolute need to own a Dell buy it from the Microsoft store where you can speak to someone in person and not get hung up on when you request a refund.

Fred K

Terrible shipping times! Same city and 9 days waiting! Customer service -pls allow 24-48 hrs for reply from logistics. Unbelievable ! Quicker to walk to Best Buy next time !

Ridiculous and unhelpful. Due to an apparent website error I've purchased 4x 8TB Seagate HDDs at a deeply discounted price. Even got 2 emails stating that my purchase was for what I thought I wanted to buy. Later that same day while checking the order status, my 4x 8TB HDDs were "magically" switched to 4x 500GB HDDs (classic bait & switch). Tried contacting customer support over the phone and through online chat to clarify the situation and/or trying to see if Dell would make good on their own fault. The customer reps from India were either trained to deflect or are completely useless and clueless. After realizing I have better chance to state my case to a rock I gave up and decided to cancel my entire order; after all I've wasted enough of my time. Will never buy from Dell anything. Ever. Again. And will advise everyone I know against buying from this company. At least other companies have the spine to come through with their own mistakes when they screw up... Long live the bottom line, Dell.

The worst customer service ever I had to call 3 times and talk about my same problem again and again and again for 2 freaking hours, they kept throwing me like a ball from one person to another person to another person omg that was a nightmare, just to repair an Alienware, which should be their high end product,, poor Dell ???? [update] I received a call from dell telling me the issue is the Motherboard and Battery and we agreed to fix it after sending me the price of each part by email, battery cost is 159$, motherboard is 189$, and technician 65$, after few days they called me to tell that they don’t have the battery anymore (end of life part) blahhhh (2016 Alienware) so they will only replace the motherboard!! The smart idea from tech support told me to buy a battery from AMAZON or just replace it at local tech repair, omg!!! This is a waste of time with brilliant Dell tech support, bcoz I need to run the computer again and paid 53$ for just diagnosing the issue, I agreed to repair it with Dell the motherboard only and refund the battery price which I’ve already paid, he said “yea we will refund you 109$” whaaat!!!! Their email says battery price is 159$!!! And now waiting for their coming genius call to confirm how much to refund lol,, Those ppl are driving me crazy and ruining my each day having a call with them! I also paid 53$for diagnosing the laptop’s problem which they already know they don’t have its spare parts, but they don’t tell in advance!!! NO MORE DELL

I placed an order for a laptop which was supposed to be deliverd in 2 weeks, but was delivered only after 5 weeks, not acceptable. I was offered a credit on the purchase and given a service request number, and was told to contact after the product was delivered to me, which I did. It was 3 weeks ago. The agent told me I would receive a confirmation email for the credit process after the call ends and would be credited to my original method of payment. It has been more than 2 weeks I haven’t received an email and credit yet. I called Dell Canada 2 last to follow up for the same. They kept me transferring among each other and after talking to 7th person and spending 2 hours, the person told me the service request number doesn’t exists. I have the email stating service request number and the offer for credit. I emailed the customer service and forwared the email that I received but have not heard anything yet. Have I been scammed??? Do Dell Canada do business making the customers fool???

cxyyk cxyyk

Will give zero if there is an option. Ordered one desktop online but can't receive confirmation email (Only received an email for "order received"). Contact sale rep to go through payment and confirmed the deal. Then found sale rep changed …

Interesting situation with all those very bad reviews and the Dell administration just doesn't do nothing to fix that i order a PC before reading all those issues with the customers i am praying for not having some issues with this order and the warranty after. One star for the administration and why someone in another country will know about my personal information what we don't have enough people in Canada? :( cheap it's not all the time good

Murad Velshi

Dell would not fix my problem until I purchased a policy for $270 which I bought last year. Policy expires this month. My problem still not resolved. Have spent hours upon hours talking to them. Never satisfied. DELL NEVER AGAIN

negar tavakol

Don't even risk to shop online from their website. It's been a month I bought a Wacom cintiqu but not only I haven't received it but also when I ask for refunding, still I'm waiting for my money back. It's hopeless and waste of time to buy from their online shop. They won't send you products on time. I assume they never send you at all.

Arlo Prodni

Do not buy dell. Just say no to Dell! Worst experience with a computer. This company should be ashamed of themselves. And to think you get tax breaks on my back for your garbage customer service and terrible products.

Dana Chow

IT SHOULD BE A ZERO STAR! Every negative review written is TRUE! Do not buy from Dell and Do Not Believe whatever their customer service team promises you. I bought a laptop for $1400 and the online sales person promised a $100 professional discount. But after I agreed to the purchase and gave my credit card information and the full price charged through, the $100 discount was not honoured. I called back to cancel the order and was told I was able to. Many phone calls and online communications were made over the period of several weeks. The sales team directed me to the finance department, and the finance department directed me back to the sales team. It was impossible to get anywhere. The finance department couldn't help me. When I contacted the sales team, either online or on the phone, they hung up on me or left the online chat after they found out I wasn't contacting them to make a purchase. PLEASE BE WARNED. DON'T BUY FROM DELL. I never got the $100 back!

Dell has given me the worst experience of my life. I bought a laptop 1 year ago, and i have been facing problems with it and it’s hardware ever since the first day. I keep on calling customer service and they are just as useless. I would never recommend such a product or a company to anyone. Avoid dell at all costs. They have given me an unbearable amount of problems.

I call Dell on Saturday afternoon at around 1:30pm. I spoke with the rudest woman I have ever spoke with at this company. I am a customer trying to make a purchase and was treated not very nice. I was not being rude to her at all. I finally asked her name and she hung up on me. I called back and tried again new call same treatment. She asked me if I was having delivery to the US or Canada the phone cut out a little and I realized what she had asked I said oh sorry from Canada and I was waiting for her to reply and realized that she had hung up on me again. I called a 3rd time hoping I would not get her again I thankfully got a nice young man. I put in my order spending over $1500.00 no thanks to her. I've been dealing with this company for over 10 years or more so wanted to stick with them. I will be calling the office on Monday to let them know this woman is not doing very much for their business.

I ordered an inspiron 2in1 on nov. 30/20 directly from dell t it wld arrive on Feb. 3rd 2021 -i couldn't find the same one on-line /big box retailers, so waited. On feb.15 it hadn't come, I called and was told I'd be called back in 24 hrs as they were tracing the shipment. On feb.18, I called and got same person (i get all their names) who said she "just now" rec’d trace –after I asked why i wasn't called in 24hrs? I was informed it was "lost", but a replacement would arrive in 8 days. 8 business days later (although she affirmed 8 days) I called again when I finally (after long wait, transfer and cut off, spoke to another rep -who said there was no record of re-order Also I Feb. 1 (when I still thought I was getting a device on Feb. 3, I was sold a service contract/warranty and was assured wouldn't be put in place until the device was rec'd. I specifically asked. I said i hadn't rec'd the device, then when I got the invoice, he had backdated to Jan. 30/21 as start date (sales quota?) 2 days before i called. Now Mar. 11/21 -no device and a contract for something I don't have. Also got the 12 month interest free financing -which they started feb. 3 for a device i haven't rec'd. I have been passed from dept. to dept., spent hours on hold, had extremely rude customer reps. i have been cut off countless times, put on hold and then put through to departments that were closed. I have been deceived and treated so poorly I actually started crying over the futility of having to come home every night to get ignored at best and lied to and abused at worst by dell "customer care". having dried my tears, I have this to say: DO NOT BUY FROM DELL DIRECTLY. THIS HAS BEEN A NIGHTMARE AND NONE OF MY ABOVE ISSUES HAVE BEEN RESOLVED, SO I'M STILL IN IT. My current laptop is an ancient Dell, which was why I thought I would stay loyal. Not anymore.

Karen Sipko

Customer service is based in India. They have no concept of what customer service means or even know where the USA / Canada are in the world. Dell should never be anyone's first choice of computer system, unless they are willing to deal with poor customer service that will frustrate the hell out of you and raise your blood pressure.

Purchased an Inspiron TGL 3000 3511 on , dell mobile pro wireless mouse, Dell USB slim DVD + drive and paid a good amount of dollars on October 27 2021. Up that that point all good but, I receive the laptop, the mouse and the DVD still not here. They tell me it is coming because I called a month ago and send emails and complaining on the site. But guess what ? So far nothing and their customer service is very poor. They say that someone will get back to me but no nothing so far. They took my money and I am still waiting. What is wrong with you? Why can’t you do what you say you will? Not a very happy customer at all

I bought an alienware laptop on finance for one year. I paid off all the balance one month prior to the last date but these funny people have not sent me the release letter yet. This is so pathetic that I had to remind them 3 times and then i received an email reply that it will be posted soon and its gonna take 10 15 days for me to release the letter whereas the item has already been paid off 4 months ago. Isn't that ridiculous customer service?

We have been dealing with a technical issue with Dell since October 2021 It was a minor issue with the audio jack, they tried to fix it twice and the last time they came to our house with what they called a defective mother board and broke the power supply and the entire computer is down now. The customer service is awful, disrespectful to their customer's time. They lie to the customer each time and there is absolutely no way of getting anywhere with them. Now my son doesn't have a computer and his online school is starting soon. Dell has not responded to our concerns and they don't care, This is also because their technical support team is incompetent. Awful service, awful device.

Purchased 2 hard drives during a promotional sale and was advised they had forgotten to ship the items and that the hard drives needed to be re-ordered. Went to re-order the drives and explain to them the situation. Not only did they fail to meet the original sale price but points were used in the original order (the one that never shipped - note these points were NOT expired) and now they are not willing to use these (now expired) points with the purchase. This is absolutely unacceptable.

I have purchased 4 laptops from Dell since 2014, which all have failed. I purchased an extended warranty for the last one in 2015. It has stopped working Power supply and battery failure. Dell always finds a pretext to dishonor the warranty, Never buy Dell and don't trust them.

Kelvin Tian

Recently purchased two computers and two monitors on Boxing Day 2021, the computer had a discount of $429 off of $1028.99, and the monitors had a discount of $125 off of $314.99. However, the discount for the computer was only applied once …

Wow I didnt realize there were so many bad reviews on dell. Pretty sad to find out that im not the only one. I placed an order online for a dell xps 13. so for the sake of not getting really mad thinking about this again, my order was cancelled 3 times, for no reason what so ever. It kept getting delayed. I had to keep calling them to figure out whats going on as im going on vactation soon and i wanted a good laptop. I dont even want to go on further. horrible horrible experience. Sad thing is i was actually considering ordering again. after seeing all these bad reviews forget it. Thanks Dell you turned me off so much that im buying a mac book pro. Never been an apple guy but ill never be a dell guy either.

Love the laptop, however definitely was not worth the excruciatingly painful customer service process that I had to endure to get a replacement. I was sent from one team to the other back to the prior team. Nobody seems to know what there job is or what there team actually does. I was told I had to send it in for repair many times and that I was not covered under replacement, even though I had literally just received the laptop. After spending over four hours on the phone to achieve something so simple, and then finally receiving the laptop weeks later, I realized the shipping label they sent me expired. After emailing telling them this, I got no response. They then sent me an email saying they were going to invoice me for the laptop that I didn't send back. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!! I don't know how a company which sells such great hardware can have such an incredibly disjointed and clueless support/exchange team. TRULY INSANE.

Ordered a laptop before start of the semester, now it is end of the semester, did not get the laptop yet. Poor customer service I never thought dell will have this poor service. Never recommended.

Bob Lynch

This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I needed to have windows reinstalled and was quoted a price of $129.00 plus tax. They charged me $1271.25 and have already spend hours on the phone trying to get this corrected only to be transferred back and forth between the same departments. This was my first and will be my last Dell purchase.

Jeff Dee

Ordered in July. Website never mentioned it would only be delivered in September. Then yhey pushed it back a week. And now I’m only getting my computer I ordered for work in december... maybe. They didn’t even e-mail to let me know. It’s only because i checked my ordermonline every day. They get 1 star because I cannot give 0. But they deserve negative a billion stars.

I have been receiving repetitive harassing calls from people posing as Dell TECH support for 2 years now and no action has been taken nor attention to my several complaints lodged with Dell. I've recently blocked the numbers only to get more aggressive calls from other Dell contact numbers. I use my phone for work so need to answer contacts I don't recognize so this is a huge problem. I've relentlessly tried all Dell contact #s for a way to get someone to explain how these "scammers" got my contact info, system tag # and relevant details pertaining to my laptop. I escalated and filled the online form, etc.. with no resolve. My big issue is that this information was only given on the occasion when I had to call Dell TECH support and not when THEY (scammers) called me as I no longer had the computer by then. I worked 10 years in telecom and I know never to forfeit information on an inbound call. As for the laptop, it went on an update loop and couldn't be repaired 2 weeks after I bought it. I returned the computer for a full refund but have been plagued with forementioned harassment calls from several of Dell's contact numbers ever since. Funny that this didn't happen with my HP, ASUS or Mac.

I sent my son’s computer to be fixed by Dell because I still have warranty and the technician I spoke to on the phone recommended that to be the best options. I took pictures of the entire computer before I put it in the box to be sent via Purolator! See the two memory cards! I received a call from Dell support saying that there are No memory cards in the computer. And they wanted to sell me a memory card. When I asked to speak to a manager a person called me back but they were not a manager. I do not recommend this company. I am sending pictures to the company and will speak to someone at there head office. I will never send anything away to get fixed again!

Chris

Brand new computer won't connect to internet under any method. Online support shows I sign in as an Inspiron laptop then sends me to an only Chromebook support everytime. Calling I get one person who asks a few questions then passes me on to another department that then hangs up immediately. I call back that department directly they also decide to pass me off to a different department that also just hangs up immediately after asking me my name. If you want a new computer that works or a customer support that does anything helpful don't buy Dell.

Riyad Khan

The worst online shopping experience I ever had. Worst customer service. I placed an order and after 3 weeks the order still hadn't shipped. After spending over an hour on the phone and being transferred 4 times, I finally cancelled my order. Do yourself a favour and don't purchase anything online from Dell.

Celine Lam

Worst company ever. Laptop had a bunch of issues before they decided to send me a replacement laptop. It's been three months since then and I have yet to receive an email regarding the shipping (because it hasn't been shipped). At this point, I just want a refund but they claim that because it's been 30 days past purchase, I'm unable to get a refund. Had I known it'd take over three months to get a replacement laptop, I would've opt for a refund at the beginning. Not only do their representatives lie, but they send you on a wild goose chase, transferring you all over the place before you can speak to someone. I got transferred a total of 7 times and got hung up on 3 times within the span of 20 minutes, achieving nothing. Also why does the automated machine ask for your order number if the rep asks for it again anyways? Waste of time.

Burzin Tamboli

Has to be the worst customer service I have experienced from a tech company. Bought two monitors out of which one was faulty, customer service tried to delay and drag out the problem past the warranty period - still not resolved.

Cindy Li

If I could give Dell's customer service 0 stars, I would. Chatting with anyone there is always an hour-long endeavour, and most times, the issue cannot get resolved unless you let your inner demon fly and demand to be connected to a manager. It's now been 10 days and I've had to deal with them 3 times and I haven't even received my laptop. The laptop supposedly comes with 1-year of their stellar customer support...what can I say?...Dell, the gift that keeps on giving.

Sayuri Luciow

Purchased a Laptop which had issues from day one, I filed multiple work logs and spend hours on the phone with tech support to try and rectify the unit to no avail. When I ask for a replacement laptop I was told they could not do such a thing. I paid 800$ for a paper weight, terrible computers, even worse outsourced customer service. I strongly recommend no one purchase any products from this company

Dave Nicol

ZERO stars. Worst customer service ever. Called to found out if a particular system that they have could be upgraded to Windows 10 Pro by them. Or could I just do it after I receive the computer. Would the laptop handle Windows 10 Pro. Supports response before I can help you, I need to create a file (or profile) to get all my information. WHY????????

Gary Hammer

Absolutely brutal experience with defective laptop from day 1. Simple questions can't be answered clearly. Phone support staff are so difficult to understand, will not escalate the call after repeated requests. Online chat won't answer simple and straightforward questions. I wish I never made the initial purchase. So frustrated.....

Sumbel Syeda

The worst customer Service ever, I called for exchanging a laptop to print the return labels which literally takes maybe 5 mins or less with other companies. The girl kept on telling me 2 more mins every 5 mins and took more than 1 hour and yet didn't complete the work saying she is having network issues and will send it to me later . I'm not sure if dell hires people from South Asia where there is extremely slow network connection because they are certainly not from north America like c'mon nobody has all day for such small tasks!!!!!!!

Nick Thalas

The worst customer service from any tech company. They were very responsive when I ordered 2 new XPS13 laptops. A month later, I ordered a additional power adapter online. Their site said it’s compatible with the XPS13, which it’s not. Trying for over 1 week to return or replace it. I’ve emailed customer service multiple times with no response. I’ve waited over 1 hour to talk to customer service with no luck. I will not purchase anything from Dell ever again.

PJ Monague (PJay32)

Orders a Alienware computer they sent me the monitor for it but there making me wait a few months for the computer order

Thomas Ward

Dell's support is OK until you really have problems. After replacing four motherboards in the first four months I lost faith in the system design and asked for something close to the high end system I had purchased (including an onboard invidia GTX 1060) as a replacement. Despite promises to help, they insist on replacing it with the same thing, in which I have reasonably lost faith for critical applications. Dell maintains that replacement with anything else is not an option. This is patently ridiculous. Dell has the OPTION of doing whatever it wishes. Dell is simply not interested in resolving my continued difficulties by replacing a system which, after four motherboards, clearly has desogn issues. It is all cost benefit - cheaper to lose the customer than fix the problem in a responsible matter. No Dell ever again for ma and my small company. As for the piece of junk I have, despite itsvery high price tag, I intend to take it to Dell's offices and hand it to the Customer Service representative as what it is - a piece of junk.

Sergio Nino

Buyer beware! Placed an online order, wasted my time because the next day I received an email from "order experience" telling me that I needed to contact sales! The email was a bit sketchy but I called the number, the sales rep told me there was an issue on the backend and that I had to cancel it and place a new one. This is just not true, I talked to a couple of reps and it seemed some of them thought that the order was fine and didn't know anything about the email. Becareful with giving this company your personal information, they will somehow access it to mess up with you in different ways. Terrible customer service support, it's just cheap

Tor_JV

Dell Canada does not exist! Or least there is no one to discuss anything with. And if you order something from them, it will be shipped from USA and managed from India. They do NOT take responsibility for any delivery, because they have contacted that to Purolater. -- who are totally incompetent.

David Guimond - Morganti

Spent 4 hours on the phone with them. Got transferred from department to department got hung up on for no reason and my problem was never fixed.

Sandi Oliver

Worst experience of my life. Wanted to buy a laptop for my son at university in the uk. Called sept.10 and spoke to sales as i knew the delivery might be tight for my depart on Sept 27. Sales assured my deliver on or before Sept 21 so i proceeded on that premise. I told them 3-4x that if there was any chance i would not receive i would make other arrangements. 4 days later deliver estimate is changed online to Nov. 2! I called same day and they assure that was incorrect and open a ticket to ensure order was expedited. I got a reply on Nov 15 saying laptop was on its way to shipping and i should receive shipping notice shortly. I wait until Monday and receive nothing to say its shipped. I call again to be told its just being finalized in production. I ask to cancel the order and was told I cant. Now 2 days later l ask for a manager and she told me they will refund but i have to wait for it to ship then be returned and then process a credit. In the end, im out pocket for their mistakes and lies. Worst service ever!!!

davood hedayati

Hi everyone I just found out that someone opened Dell Preferred Account under my name and my wife's name, called them to inform their fraud department and dealt with followings; - Bunch of monkeys that call themselves as expert. - lack english knowledge and lack of understanding. - the person that was talking did hang up on me 3 times since I demanded to speak to a supervisor. - when you try to help them to stop fraud, you are being questioned as a criminal by bunch of phi... uneducated people. Hopefully there is a person in this companys customer service can call to ask about their customers concern.

Melissa J

We spent 5 hours trying to get a replacement charger. WORST experience ever . Customer Service kept hanging up , transferring you all over . You have to keep repeating yourself over and over again . They promise to call you back if the phone gets disconnected And they never call back . The hold time is about one hour , when you get to someone , the transferring games start . I can’t believe they are still in business . What a nightmare . What a regret , what a mistake buying from this company . NEVER AGAIN. I need therapy after dealing with them . Seriously it’s so so horrendous . I still cannot believe they get away with this .

nick hope

Absolute garbage customer service. Purchase a monitor on feb 11, delivery was expected in 2 weeks, thats awesome. I checked the status on Feb 20th and delivery got extended to April, so I ended up cancelling it on on feb 20th. Was told 8 business days for refund. Still waiting on refund. ive sent multiple emails and nothing has been resolved. Called 6 times now. Everytime to be transferred 4 times since they be dont know who to transfer you to. After on hold and after 4 transfers, someone finally picks up to just say thanks for calling and then bam hang up. Never buy dell ever . Feels great to spend $1100 on a $500 monitor.

Sabin Shrestha

It's already more than 2+ months and they have still not refunded back my 1,000+ dollars. They had already received the returned laptop before 2 months. Bank is charging high interest on this credit card amount. WORST OF THE WORST Customer Service I have every seen.

Minoo Khosravi

Zero star for customer service!!! My order which i placed through one of the sales professional was on hold (for no reason) for 10 days with no notification or anything!!! I called at least 10 times and still nothing!! They're not even sure if the order is placed right now or not!!! I checked online and there is no order in my account!!! Im so frustrated and disappointed with Dell Canada, It was my first and last order (if it ever goes through) And Oh I forgot to say!!! Last person i talked to did not have any answer and just hung up the phone!!!! Update: OCT 15: order was placed sep 23, still on hold and no one knows how to release or cancel!!!

Narinder Babbar

i don't have 0star otherwise this company deserve that because many time call for fix my laptop repeat story every one and transfer my call other person then disconnect the call please don't buy

Sofi Chung

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. ZERO star Definitely need to address the "knowledge" of the call centre reps. That's one sure shot way of getting your ready customer to lose interest and cancel the orders. DONT EVEN THINK OF shopping again on Dell. I called to process my payment which didn't go through. It took 10 hrs!! of repeated call drops and bouncing between numerous departments. Spoken to More than 20 agents. The rest is history. Leaves a bitter experience. UPDATE. Having wasted my time enough, told them to CANCEL the order and even sent an email to the sales rep right after. Now 2 days later received email and my card is CHARGED. So...another marathon begins and more time wasting... SO... When you want to buy, Dell doesn't allow you to make the payment, BUT when you don't want to buy they ship it for you and process the $$ WHAT !!! o_O

Denis Tchourilov

Horrible service!!! Nothing but lies on their website! Ordered desktop on Dec 31,201, website stated "ready to ship item". Original delivery date after I placed my order was Jan 28,2022. I contacted Customer Service and they assured me that …

Because Dell has really interesting filtering aproach for reviews on their site, let it be here. I was Dell customer for several years, and never had major issues with their products, but my last purchase of Alienware desktop just changes everything. I bought pretty expensive system, just want to mention, from what I know from YouTube reviews Alienware does not use top parts, so this makes it even more questionable why is this price? But ok, this is not about price. My first problem happened on the next day, PC stopped loading windows, blue screen, black screen, all kind of self testing and telling me that there are no problems, but just do not work properly. I was really upset, connected with support, and actually it was not a problem, I heard some people had problem with Dell support, but not me, guy remotely fix PC pretty fast, thank for this. Computer was flying for another 5 or 6 days, and again. So 2 problem for around 1 week. I decided not repeat "fixing" again, but just return this one. After I filled return from, manager connected with me in a 3 minutes, I explained to him that I spent more than a day to setup all my staff. He told that he is sorry but may be I wanna to get new, and replacement will be done very fast, I told ok. So I returned my block and start waiting, In around a week this manger told me that they have shortage with parts and they are not able to make my replacement in reasonable time. So I asked just cancel my order. I would say overall experience was so-so, but what is more "so-so", when I tried to leave negative comment on Dell site it was moderated, and now I know how they keep this 4+ star rating, I checked with my friend, 2 of them who had Alienware before, also returned them because of quality. So, think twice when you wanna buy this product, it looks amazing, but at the end of the day this is pretty low quality product in nice looking pack.

Jessica Scarfo

Worst customer service and tech support that I have ever experienced. Avoid all purchases from this company. I puchased a Dell laptop and had issues with the fan and overheating within the first year. I had it sent into the company to be resolved and the technician returned my laptop (which was in perfect looking condition) with a broken palm rest and a missing screw. I had it sent back to fox these issues that THEIR TECHNICIAN created and they managed to keep my laptop on hold and in Their possession for more than a month now. They also called me to tell me that they have issues with the software and theres a blue screen, which is another issue they themselves created! Before sending it out for a second time the software was working perfectly. I still have no laptop and none of the issues have been resolved! Worst experience with any company ever! I will never purchase any of their products again. Do not support this company in any way!

So far not so good... During boxing day, there were tons of deals on Gaming Monitors to choose from many different stores. The dell gaming monitor has some really good reviews so i thought i would give it a shot. Ive never ordered from Dell before, this is my first time and man, what a shoot show. First, i did get an email for my purchase, but when i click on the details link in the email, it says the order doesnt exist, i have to go through some bassackwards way to get to my order. Ordered on boxing day, Dec 26th, first it said it would be shipped in 4-6 days, then it said Jan 12th, then it said January 18, and now its saying it should ship on January 28th. today is January 17th... If it gets delayed one more time passed the 28th, im just going to cancelled my order. Ill update this post if i do end up getting the monitor at some point.

When my ex discovered I had ordered a laptop from Dell he laughed and said good luck. I ordered and paid for it on August 31 2016 and was told it would be delivered by September 7 at the latest. That is today. Now when I call Dell, several calls to all over, I am told it will be delivered September 12, a day after I leave the country for a month. What appalling service. NEVER BUY FROM DELL

Mathieu V

Dell has the absolute worst customer service. I spent $4000 on a alienware r5 17 in silver and they sent me a black one. One at a time, They sent me 3 separated new "silver replacements" which have all showed up to be the black model. I don't know the difficulty about opening the box and making sure it's silver before they ship it. After about 2 months of back and forward with Dell and shipping returns to purolator, I said screw it I want a full refund. It's now been three months and they're still taking money out of my account... I don't even own one of their products anymore. I've called dfs and they continue to give me the run around and tell me that it could take up to 30 days for my account to zero. What about my money they've taken? How long will it take to get that back? Do yourself a favor, take my advise or don't. Save yourself hours and hours of frustration, wait times and misunderstandings. run to a store to by a computer. That way there are no misunderstandings. If there's a problem just return it. It's that simple. Dell is a joke that have taken advantage of way to many of their customers. I hope some day it bites then is the a**.

If I could give a zero rating I would. Waited 6 weeks for computer to arrive and when it did it didn’t work, hours on phone with tech support and was told I needed to go buy a different cable for the monitor to tower connection, did that and still didn’t work! More time on with tech support and they determined it had to come in for repairs !! ITS BRAND NEW ! Shipped on for repairs and received email next day saying they didn’t have parts available and would contact me, next day I received email saying it’s repaired. The computer was returned to me and still didn’t work! Spoke again with tech support and got no results. Currently waiting to speak to someone about a refund, I would not recommend anyone purchase from Dell Absolutely terrible product and customer service !

Raphael Bowman

Absolute worse customer service. They had a sale with a time frame. I called about making a purchase within the time frame. They said that the sale ended early because it was based on supply. No where in the ad did it say that. A supervisor …

Don't buy your computer from DELL. I purchased a laptop for $3400. Signed a 3 year contact and they boosted it up to 48 months without me realizing. Now I need to pay almost $7000 total interest included. With $7000 I can buy a way more powerful computer. This is ridiculous!

Vivian Zhou

Don’t order computer from Dell website. I ordered my computer on Nov 28th. now Dec 21st 2020 I don’t receive my computer. Give service call two times but they never solve my problem or tell me when can ship my order. It takes almost one month. It is Christmas gift.but now where it is? Very bad service

Shipei Lu

I placed an order on May 24th and received this order today on May 28th, super fast during the pandemic time. The customer service I experienced is very helpful.

Vivek Abhi (VIC)

I am editing my review, every time I sit on my computer, I want to abuse DELL. I can not comment more than one time, so I am editing. Here is my privious one from here.....It was my first and last experience to buy Dell. Worse product ever use that is dell Inspiron. Even in the warranty service department was selling me all kind of deals. Send my laptop for service, they did nothing but kept it for week and send me back with the all kind of problems. I would not recommend any body to buy dell. It is better to spend a bit more than regretting. worse machines.

Alex Mackenzie

All I need is a simple yes or no to a very straightforward question and no one is apparently capable of providing even the simplest information. And the fact that the only service available on a Saturday is sales when thousands of people need jobs is beyond absurd, quite frankly its deplorable. I can't even get a return process started until Monday, what a joke. Welcome to the 21st century, people work weekends and people need services on weekends. I'm honestly tempted to return the entire order after such an infuriating experience.

Kevin Latinski

Dell has the worst customer service ever. I have called for help several times and they transfer you from department to department. No one can help. The only thing they do is try to get you to get more warranty on your computer. They have no answers and offer no support at all. WORST company ever and I will never buy anything from them ever again.

Frank Tonna

I returned my Dell Inspiron 15 5000 Series laptop within 2 days from the day I received it, a month has gone by and I have not yet received my refund for $735.62. This is unacceptable. They took my money two days before I even received the Laptop. My suggestion Don't purchase Dell products their customer service and their process is very unsatisfactory

Denise Campbell

I know that adage is if you have nothing good to say then say nothing, however this is not a time to be silent. I would not recommend Dell to anyone. I spent 12 hours being shifted from one person to another (in India) trying to get my computer problems fixed to no avail. Then finally an actual living being came out to service my computer, thought that it was fixed but alas it is not. There is no place in the Brampton/Mississauga area to get my laptop serviced. My computer is only 18 months old and the extended warranty will be up in the new year. I would dearly like to give my computer back and get my money back HELP!!!! No stars to fill in.

Melissa Longhurst

Cancel order 2 week prior to 1st payment coming out they took my payment and I have no products from them when I check my account they have been taking $12.03 out of my account for a year that's $144.36 they have stole from me. Now to get someone to refund the money they took is a pass off to each different department. I spoke to someone in India who has access to all my info personal and banking. That is so unsettling I don't even know where to begin. Bee on hold for about 10 minutes again now while I wrote this.

Dell financial department is a big scam guys . the financing rates on their website is a big phony .Don't let them to run a credit check on you. NEVER EVER. they never let you know about the offers and discount you are eligible to get if …

Dana D Custus

I would give them a big fat zero for customer service as it is none existent. If the phone is answered they take all your information just to tell you that you are not speaking to the right department. Then they give you another number to call and the same thing happens again. One day I was redirected 4 times and still didn't get through.

I made the move to Dell a year ago and purchased a few computers and monitors for family use. Two of the computers are now off warranty, with constant reminders to purchase extended warrantee. The computer that is still under warranty will not start up. We contacted Dell tech support and the could not resolve the issue on line or by phone. Their trouble shooting indicated a motherboard issue and set up an onsite visit. The confirming email notified us to be home between 8:30 am - 6:00 pm. Two calls to Dell in the late afternoon the same day confirmed that the tech will be there but no specific timing. At 5:30 we called again to be told by the 3rd party service provider that no tech was assigned and they would be there the next day. Tech showed up the next and advised that it was not a motherboard issue, but replaced it anyway as that is what Dell advised. On site tech would not do any additional troubleshooting and computer still does not work. We took the computer in to a local IT shop, who advised the issue is the HDMI connection on video card. They were able to trouble shoot this in 10 minutes. As the computer is still under warranty they suggested that we get the video card from DELL. I have called Dell back to try to speak with a manager. Made 6 calls to various DELL phone numbers and each time I ask for a manager my call is disconnected. I will never buy another DELL product again.

DO NOT BUY A DELL. And I will tell you why. If i could give Dell Canada -4000 stars I would. 2 months into owning a brand new Dell XPS 15 series laptop I began having issues with it. 1. Updates would no longer install on the computer despite attempts to uninstall updates and reinstall as per suggestions on the Dell website 2. Microphone stopped working 3. Bluetooth stopped working 4. USB ports began to malfunction (when plugging phone in, error message popped up saying USB port Misconfigured) 5. Software would no longer install (Adobe Acrobat, ETC) 6. Computer began lagging constantly and overheating 7. Fingerprint scanner stopped working So, in an attempt to get further support, I spent 2 hours on the phone with Dell Tech services as they did a remote repair session on my laptop and came to the conclusion that my microphone, Bluetooth, and thumb scanner hardware pieces were no longer functioning (The software issues came later). With that, I was told that a service tech from dell was scheduled to arrive at my apartment on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 to fix my computer. So, i stayed home from work in the afternoon to meet the tech - nobody showed up. Then i received another update the day that somebody was supposed to show up on Friday, December 4, 2020 to fix my laptop, again nobody showed up. At this point, I reached out to Dell Tech Support again to get a status update and told them that I (being a student nearing exam period) needed this laptop to be functioning properly to complete my studies. They told me that they had "escalated the situation" on their end and i would hear from somebody within 48 hours. So naturally, 3 days later somebody emailed me and said that it was delayed again. Then i received a notification that there had been some sort of delay with no ETA in sight on December 7, 2020. So finally i had enough and reached out to a local repair shop in Toronto, DigiTech Repair Service on Davenport. The guy there was extremely professional and diagnosed my laptop within 3 hours - the problem turned out to be a defective hard drive, which was causing all my other systems to gradually malfunction. So, $200 later my laptop had a brand new hard drive, all my files transferred over and laptop back to normal all within the span of less than 24 hours. So, with that being said, i do NOT recommend buying a dell computer product. While i understand that sometimes things are defective, Dell's warranty doesn't mean a single thing because no matter how many hours you spend on the phone on hold trying to talk to somebody, nobody will come fix it regardless of how badly you depend on your computer. Dell Canada has one of the worst customer service departments that i have experienced in my entire life. When i tried to contact Customer Care, I waited on hold for an hour, then when somebody finally picked up, they hung up within 2 minutes! So i called back, waited yet again for 30 mins then somebody picked up and told me to hold again. I ended up hanging up and finding the repair shop because i had had enough. To anyone reading this review, i strongly urge you to reconsider buying from Dell.

This company doesn’t deserve a star at all. We have an issue with our pc in our office and their technical support people are the worst! The pc is still under warranty and experiencing BSD until now. John the tech support rep has no idea on how to troubleshoot the pc. He kept on asking me the same questions over and over again. And always putting me on hold for 30mins “to check his resources”, then ask me the same freaking question again and again. These people are so cheap that they refused to replaced the hardware and keep on blaming it on the software. They sent a technician to the office to replace the motherboard but still having the same issue. Kevin, the tech guy, just left without fixing the problem and referred me to JTek( another company) to re-image the pc when the problem is definitely hardware. I was with john for almost 2 hours and doesn’t know how to troubleshoot, and had no idea how to fix the problem. I can hear someone else on the background too coaching him on how to do the job. These people do not know how to listen, and have no idea how to do their job! What a waste of time and money speaking with these people. Until now the issue is still on going. If anyone of you planning to buy a pc, buy it somewhere else for this company doesn’t acknowledge, listen and value their clients. What a dissappointment and poor customer service!

I have been trying to call for two days. On hold for over an hour yesterday and had to hang up to leave my desk and I am currently waiting on hold again and am at 1 hour and 32 minutes so far. I am trying to order toner. Website wont let me add an address or change my country to Canada and no stores carry Dell toner. If I could go back in time I would never have purchased a Dell printer. To hard to order supplies or get any help from customer service. Waiting over an hour and a half to speak to someone in SALES is ridiculous. I want to buy something and I have to wait.

John Cher

Had to buy my computer through a phone call because your website did not work properly! I have spent way too much time on this process. It was a very bad experience.

I ordered 24in monitors on Nov. 27 for the Black Friday sale event. However, the orders were never delivered after a month and half. Made numerous chats sessions with CSRs, I was promised that the order would be expedited and would be delivered the next days. One week after another, the promises were never fulfilled. After I made calls to the call center today, I was told that the monitor will not be available, as the company oversold the monitor that was on sale. The company have no idea if the monitor would be ever available, and suggest me to cancel my orders and made purchases to a different monitor on the Dell website. I was really disappointed for their never fulfilled delivery, services and promises.

STAY AWAY!!!!! Buy your computers from ANY OTHER company!!!! The tech support and customer care departments are USELESS. I had my XPS 15 for a year and a half and I had to send it to dell 3 separate times to fix a number of issues including the trackpad, keyboard and headphone jack among others. It's obvious that my laptop was defective, however they refused to replace it and instead just "repaired" these issues and then new issues would just pop up again after 2 or 3 months. Repairs would normally take 7-10 business days and they don't even provide loner laptops in the mean time. I an NEVER buying anything from Dell again. Please save your hard earned cash and buy your laptops/ computers from a better company

Bought Dell gaming PC from Best Buy less than 5 months ago. Although we turn off the PC during the night, this PC burned out and shutdown yesterday. I spent almost $2,000 on this PC. It is very cheap and made in China. the worse part, I talked with Tech Support of Dell, the guy is at India have no clue how to deal with our culture in Canada and told me that the PC is not covered in warranty? sure with further explanation and after talked with his boss, he said okay it is covered. My advise is, if you sell your PC for almost $2,000 at least have people in Canada to serve the customers and try to manufacture the PC in Canada not in China.

[Updated Jan 19, 2021] the customer phone call didn't go well, the rep spoke with a strong accent and hard to understand. I clearly told her I wanted some kind of refund and no more technical troubleshooting as we did 2+ hours already and got a conclusion (of the hardware issue), and she said she has some "operation option" but it is another place for trouble-shooting, which I had to stop as I don't want to waste more time. Downgraded it to 1-star: machine runs good and fast, but Ethernet malfunctions and customer service is just kicking the ball... [Original Jan 17, 2021] Have been long-term Dell buyer, but the recent G5 we bought turns out having some quality issue. While the machine runs fast as promised, Ethernet doesn't work: some lengthy trouble-shooting myself led me to believe this is a network hardware issue, and a 2-hr support call just verified that: so much time spent and still having this issue. Now I am set to deal with the customer refund department: not sure if we can get any resolution, but really hate spending so much time.

How people are having issues with customer service is beyond me. In a world where customer service is virtually non existant, Dell's customer service was above and beyond any other corporate dealings Ive had in at least 10 years. We purchased a Chromebook for my daughter in December and unfortunately had issues with connectivity. We contacted Dell's customer service and received a return box the next day. The laptop was sent on a Friday and was back in our hands the following Wednesday with a report sheet detailing the test it failed and what was repaired. We received a follow up email from customer service that week inquiring if the problem was resolved. Unfortunately we continued to have problems with the laptop but we were immediately sent a return label to send back for a full refund....zero hassel. I would give 5 stars only for the fact the laptop had issues and had to purchase elsewhere for a product that fit our needs. I will be leaning towards Dell for my next laptop purchase strictly due to the customer service I had the pleasure of experiencing.

I bought a Dell XPS 13 September 2019. Three days after owning it the hard drive crashed and they had to send me a whole new system. This took over a week to resolve. I got my new system and since December I have gone through the following: - computer fan making loud noises (got fixed after hours on the phone) - sound system not working (got fixed after hours on the phone with a worker arguing with me that it was my headphones and not the computer, he was wrong and someone else fixed it) - blue tooth disabled after fixing sound system (got fixed after hours on the phone) - plugged in not one but two external hard drives into the computer and they both failed with a notification saying I have to format the drives to use it. Dell then proceeded to tell me that it was both my hard drives. So I tested another drive by plugging it into my husbands computer (it worked fine) then plugging it into mine, at which point the message pops up that the drive is not working and I need to format it. Put it back into my husbands computer and I can no longer use it. After months of back and forth trying to solve the issue they come up with changing the motherboard. Someone came to my house spent 2 hours changing the motherboard. He then tries to install the software but it wont install because it cannot locate the hard drive. I now have to call bell for tech support to fix get the software up and running. I call again... they "fix" it and windows opens but there is no wifi capability... so I call again... after another 1.5 hours on the phone the tech tells me i need to have my mother board replaced again. I am livid at this point... I get a call from a resolution center and their solution is for my to send out my computer to Dell which will take a minimum of 5 days to get looked at. I now have no computer that I rely on for teaching and the customer service has been horrible. Not to mention the condescending tone from the resolution technician. So a summary is countless hours lost. Complete unreliability in the computer and even if I get it back and it works I will be uncomfortable using it or plugging any of my drives into it. The amount of hours taken to recover the data was painful. The countless hours talking to multiple Dell employees (who some didnt know what was going on half the time), has been absolute torture. If you don't want to deal with countless phone calls and countless problem buy a computer from somewhere else!! I will never support Dell products again.

THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. I've been trying to get my refund more than 2 months, I am the one emailing them to know what is happening, they don't answer my emails and i am still waiting to get my money back. I brought a laptop, takes weeks to delivery it so i cancelled the order, i never got the laptop and probably i won't get my money back. I don't recommend Dell to anyone. Update: Surprise! Almost 5 months later and I am still waiting for my refund.

Ryan Seeburger

I bought an Alienware computer and there was no problems with that. A couple days later I got a refund of the amount of the computer so I called Dell and the lady assured me there was nothing I needed to pay off and the computer was paid in full. I got her name and reference number just to be sure. After the phone call I moved the money into a separate account and then my computer showed up today and they charged my account for the computer causing me to go into over draft and pay a fee. I am extremely unhappy with the services I’ve been provided considering I gave them a call to find out what happened and they couldn’t return the favour before charging account. Extremely un-professional and will never buy another product if this is a common practice.

Horrible customer service, absolutely disgusting , I did not expect this from a computer / tech company, unable to be proactive and effectively ensure client service from start of purchase to delivery of the item. Delivery company requesting info uniquely from the shipper who for some reason was waiting for me to call them? How long would I have waited if I didn't spot the problem myself and call them to fix this? My money was surely taken instantaneously though ... Smallest of errors causing the biggest of problems, then the customer service via text chat unable to help, by phone was given the run around for an hour , sent to usa back to Canada , asked to complete surveys before even speaking about my issue?! There's no wonder Amazon is eating the market share of multiple business' , nothing to do with the product and everything to do with seamless transaction and excellent customer service. There is no way in hell I buy anything directly from Dell again, why risk the massive headache!?

hbahador

I have a laser printer which I paid around $1500 for at my office. We ran to serious issues after 2 years. We attempted to get them to help us. Either send the spare part or send someone to come in. They have wasted over 90 minutes of our time on the phone without really helping us. In one occasion they hung up on us. Also, they have this so-called process in which they must charge you both an over the phone troubleshooting and they charge for the technician. So you end up paying around $300 before you know what the issue is or what parts need to be changed,

Bhen Mdsg

A brand new laptop and its not working. To complicate this the repair of having someone come over to replace the hard drive was Horrific. Dell has shown very unsystematic and uncoordinated way of fixing things. I have purchased a laptop whom your technicians diagnosed to have a hard drive error. It took me 3x to coordinate for this item to be fixed. On these 3x, none of which was proactively communicated, I had to phone in only to find out that there was an issue with the dispatch 3 times geez. I needed this for my business and the reliability of just getting things resolved for a new laptop is quite disappointing. It is very frustrating dealing with Dell, very courteous people but no resolution were made. I returned the laptop and dont see myself dealing with Dell for a long time.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, can not keep up with their promise. Never Shop here again. Ordered an harddrive on boxing day. They told me the ship day will be Dec29,2017. Haven't heard anything from them or receive any email regard to the shipping status. Call in on today, Jan3,2018. They told me my order will not be ship until Jan19,2018. What kind of company does that???

ron Wallace

Their payment system is so weird, once you make an online purchase they will send the payment back and try to retake it. so If any fee's go through before they take the payment back you get screwed with a nice nsf fee to pay... I never should have gave dell a shot over best buy ????????

serge nusbaum

Bought a 13 XPS 9310 laptop in December 2020. The charger stopped working March 23 rd. 2021 (seems to be overheating). Called tech support and I am being told it will take 5 to 7 BUSINESS days to get a replacement!!? I asked how they can leave a customer without their means of work for so long, the answer was, that's the best we can do!!!!!!!? I will make sure and let everyone I know, NEVER to buy a Dell product!! This was my first and LAST time!!!!!!!!! Shame on you!!!

I purchased an 800$ monitor on the internet, and it arrived a month later, with 4 defective pixels right at the center of the screen, with many other issues. I don't know and I don't care if it meets the standard, the only thing I know is that I will never pay more than 800 dollars for a screen like that, not even 80 dollars. Just a minutes ago someone from Dell called me to explain that the screen with 4 defective pixels meets the standard, and hang up on me. So, if you want to buy a monitor from Dell, get prepared for this.

Gerry A

81 days so far since my Dell was diagnosed as faulty. 17 days so far since Dell said it would be replaced in 14 days.

Juliana Ciulla

I purchased a laptop April 2020 due to the pandemic and I went to close it and the clips in the back popped and now I cant close it. It stays on my desk and no ones has used it as I use it for work. The hardware is not covered even in the first year. Unbelievable. I will stick to a ASUS going forward as they gave me 1 year accidental damage for free. I will never buy a DELL again. Worst service ever.

Guna Sundine

I do not have any option to give a rating below that. Bought an expensive laptop from Dell and that too on Dell Finance is the worst mistake I did. It started giving problem from the first month of me buying that. From then on, i had sent it back three times to fix that issue. Now the screen went blank, Do not buy Dell at any cost

Richard Cao

I've gotten the dell xps 13 9360 for a week now and the amount of problems I've encountered are astonishing. The problems I'm getting are: coil wine, wifi disconnections every time I wake my laptop from sleep, error driver power failures, and sleep and wake problems. For a new laptop that is priced pretty high, I don't think there should be this many problems. If I had not gotten the warranty for the laptop I don't know where I would be. On top of laptop problems, technical support has been mediocre with no concrete fixes for these laptop problems, They (technical support) don't even call you at the scheduled time you have set, even though you talked to them on the phone about the time that you can be reached at. For all these troubles all i get is a 1 month extension for my warranty... Great. I hope the replacement they send me will fix all these problems so i don't need to deal with technical support anymore. I hope that Dell fixes their internal problems first before helping anyone else.

I ordered a Sony Playstation pulse 3d headset on November 12 2020. The order was confirmed. I was supposed to receive it November 20th. It didn't even ship. They delayed it to December 4th for shipping then now checking again they have delayed it until January 7th as date of shipping. If they didn't have the headset why would they even put it on their website and confirm orders. I wish I could give them zero stars. The first delay I can understand but 2 back to back delays that's 2 months before my order would even ship. Provided there won't be another delay. Is this not false advertising because they promised a product they don't even have and looks like they don't even know when they will get them but yet they sold them on their site anyways. I will be canceling my order but you can't do anything on the weekends because surprise surprise they don't have customer support on weekends another downside. Just stay away from this company this is not how you handle customers. Worst online shopping experience I have ever had. I won't be going to dell for anything after I cancel this order. It is completely unethical what they have done with my order. Its not a pre order you are supposed to have the items in stock you are selling that is just common sense but common sense isn't so common with dell.

Do yourself a big favour if you want to maintain your sanity; DO NOT PURCHASE A DELL COMPUTER! I have used Dell computers for both home and office for the past 20 years and I have to say, I regret purchasing the most recent, an XPS8930 desktop. I've had nothing but issues with this PC since I received it 6 months ago. It is currently with Dell for repair. Also, their customer service/support is terrible. This has been a dismal experience and I will not be purchasing another Dell product in my life time. Nor will I recommend Dell to friends and family.

Mosaab Tawil

The worst customer service ever Im trying to buy an alienware , and i need some info and have questions ! They answered in the beginning then disappeared! Wth !!! Just hire someone who can contact with people ! Easy and simple

Paid $2000+ full warranty, motherboard and battery failed within a year and a half.. 2nd battery failed within a year after that. Tech support was useless and refuses to replace the battery. Customer care referred me to useless tech support again and according to them, they couldn't help the customer . So what exactly does Customer care do. The absolute worst. Dell doesn't stand behind their product and makes it impossible to speak to anyone with common sense oor half a brain.. Never buying Dell again. Potential customers beware. Updating my review Sept 28 2020 after motherboard failed again ,technician finally came by to replace it i had also asked about battery and was willing to pay for it but seems like absolutely no internal communication in company is possible . He left nothing setup so now on phone with Dell tech support for over one hour .Again do not buy Dell it is the worst company i have ever dealt with. Update after tech replaced motherboard i could not conect to wifi ...They are sending another tech to replace wifi card oh and another one for battery...the stupidity never ends

I can't even give a star for Dell but had to select one in order to post my Dell Hell. Bought a laptop April 2, 2015. Received a week later. Turned it on and started to load my programs when the key board acted weird. Called Dell - bottom line - I needed a new mother board. They wanted me to send it out for repair. I insisted that they send a new computer as I just received it. After two weeks of back and forth emails and phone calls I was able to "order" a new one but it would take "10 working days". (Guess they make them 1 at a time!). Received the new one 3 weeks later. That whole process was extremely time consuming not to mention a nightmare. I should have written a review at that time. I had issues again in August. Called Dell - Software problem. Warranty covered hardware for 1 year but not the" software" (this is Computer operating software loaded to run the computer). Bought software warranty $275.00 and after almost 4 hours later I was up and running. Went to use laptop this week. Secondary monitor wasn't responding. Tried the HDMI connections, new cord, checked drivers. Called Dell - spoke with someone in Costa Rica tech support - HDMI connector not working - Need a new mother board. No warranty. I ordered the original laptop on Apr. 2nd, 2015. Ordered the replacement on Apr. 23. The warranty did not start on the second laptop - it is on the original date of purchase!!! Today is April 5, 2016 - 3 days later!! After speaking with Tech in Costa Rica, Customer Service in India - then transferred to Canada, - got disconnected but that's ok, Canada gave me a number in case that happened. Called the Canadian number and reached the Phillipines. Anyway - bottom line - Dell not only didn't honour the warranty, I cannot even purchase an extended warranty (for an additional $150.00) as it is 3 days past my First original Purchase !!! Unbelievable. Funny thing, I bought a little Acer laptop a year earlier for half the price of the Dell Laptop. I expected that one to give me issues !! I use that one when I travel or not at my desk as it is much smaller and with NO ISSUES!! I know I will never purchase a Dell in the future. I don't see how they can possibly be in business. Word of advice - save your money !!

Don't buy from Dell. They are absolutely horrendous. 1. They breached my personal privacy by linking my personal information with another person's account. 2. Their customer contact center is absolutely useless. Dell shipped me the wrong product, and when I called about the order, I was told my name does not match the order information (back to point 1). They were not willing to help me resolve A.) the breach of my personal information B.) the problem of shipping me the wrong product. 3. Their chat function is garbage, and the people working behind the keyboard in the chat function has zero product knowledge. You'll realize they provide you with the wrong information after some more research. Ended up having to use PayPal resolution center to resolve the issue. I submitted a similar review on their site, but they do not like people posting honest reviews on their website about the horrible service they provide. So take the reviews on their website with a grain of salt. Stay away from Dell.ca, buy from somewhere else.

My son bought a screen from them and it didn’t work probably we returned it but they did Not refund the money, when we emailed them thousand times and called them they said that they sent to the finance department and they never refund I don’t know what should we do ?

They suggest add-on products on their website that you cannot use, then don’t take it back when it doesn’t fit, they actually scammed me! don’t buy from Dell. they suggest things that will make your desktop better but then its not even for a desktop, its for a laptop. Now I’m out a few hundred dollars because they won’t take it back. and very rude customer service wow!!!!

We are extremely UPSET that we have to write this and we would give negative ratings if we can. Long story short, DELL’s negligence resulted in wiping out all of our wedding pictures and videos and years of our memories in an external hard-drive that was not supposed to be involved when they tried to fix our DELL laptop. The resolution team insisted that they are not responsible for data loss (which we would understand if this happens on the DELL device but it was not) and they are unable to offer compensation as they do not believe in the compensation but resolution of the issues. We are not asking for compensation, we are asking for our files – our memories back that DELL has negligently erased! They mentioned that DELL does not have recovery services and hence we need to employ a third party to recover. Hence, DELL should be responsible to cover for the recovery fee. That is a resolution. This incident has been so distressing to us and we are deeply disappointed of their customer service and how they handle this. In addition, the broken DELL laptop is still waiting to be fixed and it has broken twice in the past 3 years.

Azhar Akbari

The sales rep at Dell are pathetic at supporting their customer. I bought the laptop in March, and called them on 39th day of the purchase, asking them to give me option for upgrading the screen type (I got FHD, they mentioned FHD+ in their email comm., wanted FHD+). I even mentioned I can pay for the difference, but they refused to give me any option. Instead they offered me to buy a monitor which is not really resolving the issue. I am disappointed with Dell, even after having four Dell laptops, I am not going to do business with them, plus I will recommend to stay away from them.

Anton L

Great new line of products. I use XPS for personal use. The best laptop I ever had so far. The problem in Canada is annoying customer service. I constantly get phone calls to buy a warranty even I asked to put me on the do not call list 3 month before. To make things worse they asked numerous questions before going to the point of their phone call. So they would suck up your time anyway... My advice to the company is to centralize support in the US. Otherwise you undercut future sales by providing terrible customer experience.

Tom Ridout

If I could rate them a zero I would. When you call customer technical support you get someone offshore on an unintelligible voice over internet line that you can barely hear. Then the person answering the call doesnt seem to know the difference between a power button and a bowl of soup. Seriously what's up with this??? The level of customer service is so low it almost feels like I've been directed by Dell to a prank phone line!!

Alex Schneck

Dell / Alienware never again. It's simply the worst customer service ever! Unfortunately, the only way to get a proper support from them is by taking legal actions

Georges Jarjour

The worst customer service EVER! Readers Digest Version: I ordered a simple adapter charger for my computer over the internet. Best Buy didn't have the right one for my computer. Simple right? WRONG. After a month of waiting I called THEM. They said it was shipped out but couldn't be delivered because I had given them the wrong address. I do everything online. I KNOW they had the right address. They sent a note, I responded. They said it couldn't be delivered because they didn't have my ring number in the apartment. REALLY? One does not put a ring number on an address EVER and I get everything else. I asked them why they didn't check Canada 411. I'm in there. Nope, it was my fault. Another month gone. I called AGAIN and gave them my number, wrote it down, sent it, gave them my ring number. By this time I realized I was calling India. I wrote a hand note - special delivery to the VP in charge of customer service in Texas. She forwarded it to India. Big help that was. In total it took 3 months for them to get me the bloody adapter/charger. Doubt that I will buy a Dell again just because off the horrible customer service from top to bottom....horrible customer service.

gmarc666

Wow...so many negative reviews! I was thinking to buy a Dell pc as I thought it was a reputable company, but all these complaints have now changed my mind. Get it together Dell, u just lost my business, but seems you probably won't care anyway as is appears you're not interested in your customers and providing them with great service. Bye!

D P

Horrible experience, computer was 3 weeks late, called them and they said they’ll credit it and my computer will never be shipped to me......Seriously? You mess up my delivery so now I’m without the computer I ordered a month ago? Sort you stuff out Dell. YOU ARE TERRIBLE!

Dina Nabulsi

Worst customer service ever!!!!! I bought a dell G515 laptop that broke down 2 months later due to a system malfunction and have been slow ever sense. I tried calling the company, since they do not have a service center, and their customer support is horrible!!! They want to charge for every single software service call. Do your self a favor and DO NOT BUY a DELL in CANADA

Patrick Kessler

Worst service ever....Ordered a laptop on 08/31/17 with expected delivery on 09/18/17. When it wasn't delivered I called the next day to ask when I should expect it. I was then informed that not only was it not even shipped yet, but it wasn't even made and my order hadn't been processed yet. 12 phone calls, over 3 hours mostly on hold and transferring only to be disconnected, I have been told that my laptop would be delivered the second week of October now. When I asked why my 3 week estimated delivery is now a 6 week delivery I was transferred and disconnected. Next person I spoke to said it would be delivered today, and transferred me to a guy who said October again. When I said I wanted to cancel my order I was told it was not possible..... worst service ever

DO NOT BUY A DELL!! I purchased a machine in march of 2017, by march 2018 i was having ac power/ battery problem. I sent it it just in time. The battery was not replaced. As soon as I got the machine back, I was having problems powering up the machine. I purchased extended warranty for like $300. Guess what the warranty does not cover a new battery. Of course, I was not told that at the time of purchasing the warranty. They sent a technician to my home today, only to say, its the battery, you have to pay for a new battery. I called the 1-800 number spoke to someone in India for 63 MINUTES!!!!!!! He made me run tests only to say, its not the battery. Then why did your technician say it was the battery? Why wont Dell admit the never fixed the problem in the first place. Why do you waste customers time and money. Because DELL refuses to accept responsiblilty for their problems. Try to frustrate the customer to the point where we hang up and don't bother. I will send it in for service, again. The second time in less than 2 years. I will fight with Dell so I do not have to pay for a problem that they never fixed to begin with. I WILL NOT EVER RECOMMEND DELL, THEIR INFERIOR PRODUCTS, SERVICE, WARRANTIES. BUY A CHEAPER MACHINE AND YOU WONT FEEL SO BAD WHEN YOU HAVE A PROBLEM. I HAD A LENOVO THAT I USED FOR OVER 10 YEARS. I WILL BUY LENOVO NEXT TIME. I WILL NEVER USE DELL, BUY DELL OR RECOMMEND DELL.
