Extremely disappointed in the way this business is ran and how you respond to reviews. It’s condescending. Makes me think that you really ARE a crook as someone else put down Here is how my experience went in regards to my phone repair. You did not fix my phone, it came back worse than it was before. It also came back uncharged and unable to use (which is weird for someone who fixes phones for a living to not have a very common phone charger) so I couldn’t see that it wasn’t fixed until I got home and charged it myself. At this point decided not to go back and just get a new phone. Now, i have a new phone issue and I was honestly giving you a chance to explain the past situation and rectify the bad experience I had and I was going to try your business again. After the response you left on my review I will never be using you and when people ask I will encourage them to go elsewhere, which is extremely unfortunate. Edit: No warranty was offered. Stop trying to make me sound crazy when you offered terrible service. Just own up to the fact that you made a mistake and move on. I am actually quite pleasant to get along with and it takes a lot for me to even leave reviews, let alone negative ones. You will see that i support tons of local businesses. However, as a guy put down below, you are a crook and took my money. If you had fixed the phone in the first place and not given it back to me with the virus still on it and uncharged (which seems a bit shady!! ) we would not be here.

So happy with the kind and very knowledgable service that gizmo did for me. I needed a phone screen repaired and Walmart said to go to Gizmo Direct. My visit there was pleasant, repair was done in front of me and he took the extra time to help me setup my phone properly.

Dropped in to request extraction of a video cassette from a VCR with a damaged eject button. I wasn't optimistic about getting the button repaired so was just hoping to save the cassette. I was absolutely delighted to get a phone call at home, within an hour of leaving the shop, that the job was finished - both the cassette extracted and the eject button repaired! And, as others have said, all at a very fair price. I heartily recommend Gizmo Direct!

Had my iphone5s screen replaced. Replacement part seems to be of low quality, display quality is lower, the touch screen is overly sensitive, battery seems to be draining quicker probably because of the low quality replacement screen being inefficient with power and the fingerprint scanner on the home button no longer works (maybe forgot to connect it properly) I couldn't test the phone when I collected it since the battery was empty at the time. Now, I'm not saying any of these issues are deliberate, however this was my experience. I get frustrated using my phone now because of how poorly the touch screen functions.

This review is further to a review my daughter posted on her own. In December, I had my 14 daughter bring her iPad in to have the screen repaired while yes I was in the hospital having major surgery. I sent her sister with my debit card to pay. They were told you don’t accept debit and had to go take $ from the bank machine and then were not given a receipt. Not once were they told you did accept debit but it would cost $20 extra? Can we say tax fraud? Well that’s some shady business right there. The screen repair never worked from day one. When I finally came I today...and told you I was not looking for a freebie as I’m fully aware I should have brought this in a long time ago and said yes that was my fault. But I was hoping you would be willing to work with us. Instead you gave us attitude and repeatedly reminded me this was my fault. In fact, when you found out my daughter gave you a bad review you said you would only fix the iPad if she removed the review. So instead of one bad review, you have two. And I will share with my many friends to avoid your crooked business.

While Herold helped us by replacing a few broken screens, he doesn't seem very organized in his business. There was an issue with one of the screen's home button and he never called us to inform us of the new part being ready and when we called back, it took some convincing to remind him of the story. The home button is still broken. I gave up.

Spoke to them, about repairs to my ph. Said they would order my part and text me the following Monday. That it would be a same day repair. They did not text me as they said they would. I texted them couple days later to ascertain what was happening, still no response. I then texted them again a couple days later, still no response. Two thumbs down. Lost this customer.

My phone stopped working and I couldn't get it to restart. I call gizmo direct in the morning and he told me to come in. Wow he was so friendly and he had my phone fixed by noon and the price was amazing for what he had to do. I'm so impressed with gizmo direct I have recommended him to my family and they also have nothing but nice things to say about the work he has done. This guy is the worst gave him a 150$ deposit to fix my ebike. He waits for the parts which takes a week. Then he come delaying to work on it then it came to the point where he wanted to keep my money and not deal with me. It took me to threaten him with court to give me my money back. Oh yah had to be on his own terms. I suggest you not do business with guy as all u get out of him is him stealing ur money

Just awesome. Do not let Apple just tell you that your phone or ipad is unrepairable or has water damage and accept this answer and get talked into hundreds of dollars or worse. Gizmo was super friendly, able to work on the phone quickly and get it back up and running perfectly within 2 days, and I took it there after Apple turned me away and told me the phone was garbage. AMAZING SERVICE, highly recommend.

If you go, Read the reviews first. The review that says to ask for a legitimate receipt is vital. They give a business card unless you ask for a receipt. Otherwise they won’t fulfill warranty. They threatened to go after my brother with their lawyer because of leaving a one star review on google maps. Lol, except from a business standpoint. But they did give his money back when they couldn’t fix his phone. If someone finds them to be helpful, That’s good too. I see some 5 star reviews

Gizmo was absolutely top-notch. I'd cracked my smartphone's camera lens cover and brought the phone in. They showed impeccable integrity and told me (which other companies did NOT) that it would be a waste of my money if any shards had scratched the camera lens itself. For that reason, they told me how to remove the shards myself and test first to see if there was any sense in me paying for a replacement lens cover from them. Thankfully, my phone passed the test and when I brought the phone in, they replaced the cover within a few minutes. Amazing! Honestly could have been the best customer service experience I've ever had.

This past weekend my phone dropped and my screen broke. I checked with the guy at Record Works and he wanted $425 to repair the screen. He was also rude when I had sticker shock and said no thanks. I called Gizmo and had a quote of $200. Screen was ordered and the next day it came in. 1 1/2 hours later, my screen was replaced and it looks like I bought a new phone. He also put on a screen protector for me which i did NOT purchase from him at no extra charge. He also put on a protective cover on the back. 90 day warranty as well. 10/10 recommend. Thank you again Gizmo!

Replaced battery in my cell phone gave 30 days to have it replaced if it wasnt any good well the battery wont hold a charge and he is not replying to my phone calls or messages and now my 30 days is up

I was very nervous about my cell phone repair cost after getting some other quotes until I got here suggested by Rogers. Cost of repair was far better then other quotes and as people have said they were extremely kind and willing to help me even though its an older cell phone. I ended getting some family VHS tapes transferred to DVD there as well. I recommend Gizmo Direct for any electronic repairs. Thank you for fixing my phone and allowing me to share my family VHS tapes on DVD now.

He was recommended by several people that said this was the place to go. I highly recommend going for any repairs and you will see for yourself the customer service is kind, understanding and willing to help in every way. The prices were far better then the other places and took the time to show us what was repaired. We recommended friends to visit Gizmo for a repair and they too said they were extremely happy. So happy that there is a honest fair priced repair shop in our local community.

Owner is a real piece of work… called to make a inquiry on something and got hung up on!? I guess I’ll take my phone elsewhere to get repaired.I find it funny how if the owner doesn’t like your review he argues with you or says that it is a “bogus” review or that it never happened in the first place. Good way to run a business pal.. judging by the reviews I’m not the only one that has had issues here…
