I first got a chance to work with Bob and Computerisms when I was contracted by a weekly print publication to help with the transition of their website from one platform to another. Bob demonstrated very quickly his perfect grasp of the project's needs and delivered what was asked of him without delay, without error, in a friendly, easy-to-work-with manner.
Over the years since then, it made sense for Bob to be my go-to guy whenever I needed any kind of expertise in IT beyond my own, including sourcing cost-effective & quality VOIP telephony hardware, and difficult-to-find accessories for end-of-life personal computers models, or answering my sometimes silly questions about best practices for using Ubuntu Linux. Bob always delivered, and never tried to overcharge or pass my out-of-the-ordinary IT needs to anyone else.
Most recently, I was supremely relieved and grateful for Bob's work in helping expand (co)space's LAN / WiFI network from the 2nd floor to the 3rd floor. His expertise and efficiency really came through for us in both measuring, running, and terminating the ethernet cable that now links both floors, but also in all the different diagnostic and testing approaches he taught us to ensure that the best possible signal was getting through.
Though I like to pride myself on being "my own IT guy" (and sometimes IT Superhero to my close friends), anytime I find myself facing IT challenges beyond my modest abilities, I take confidence knowing I can turn to Bob and Computerisms to fill in the gaps and save the day.
