Had I drive that I removed from a WD My Book which was damaged by having the wrong power supply with a high voltage plugged into it by mistake, which damaged one on the components on the HDD circuit board. Needless to say the board was repaired by PCB Solutions and I was able to recovery 14 years of photos & videos for a family member.

After some troubleshooting, I determined that a PSU failure fried several downstream components, with the hard drive PCB being one of them. I was quoted $500+ by data recovery specialists, even if a PCB swap was all that was needed. Well, a PCB swap was all that was needed, and PCB Solution offered a very competitively priced product and did the firmware transfer for me, so I didn't have to mess around with a soldering iron.
