The guy said he knows mac. He was not able to do what I wanted. They restored it and charged me. Very irritated. I wasted $$ and I still have to figure out how to do what I wanted done. Every time I deal with computer repair people I feel ripped off. I should start a repair service again. except I am board with fixing computers. feeling coned. google it and watch videos you can fix your own stuff. data recovery is easy.

The hard drive on my nine year old desktop PC crashed. I had a lot of personal, family, and family business data on it that I need. I called and Todd took the time to explain what RB's could do. He didn't over promise or under-deliver on the data recovery process. I brought my new laptop in and he set it up, installed the necessary programs, got rid of the bloatware and restored the data he was able to recover from my old drive. Their rates are fair and the service is quick and the quality of work is highly professional. I recommend their services to anyone. Thanks, Todd and all the RB's staff.

These guys are great. Reasonably priced and friendly. I swapped my gaming PC into a new case and couldn't get it to boot. I was asked about what happened, he did a diagnosis and found the power supply randomly failed. I was able to warranty the part myself and he installed the new one. And like that I was back up and running. These guys are good. I think anywhere else I would have been charged for a bunch of parts I didn't need. The technician kept all my cables clean and neat and did a excellent job. Thanks again guys.

I have gotten to know Randy and his team of Technicians over the years, but want to write a quick review just to say thanks! My most recent experience was bringing in a hard drive that crashed on me. The 100GB Hard drive was where I archived all the pictures of my wife and I since marriage and also of our two children from ages 0 to 3 and 5 years. So needless to say when it didn't work at all, no matter what I did, I was willing to do whatever it took to get the pictures back. Randy agreed to take a look at it and in no time, he was able to recover the drive and update it so it works perfectly again! Only $99.00 even though he could have charged a lot more! He also took the time to show me how to back it up to a solid state drive so that I have two copies. Thanks Randy! You are a hero in my eyes! Sincerely, Shane

They fixed my phone's screen and costed me $135, which is fine, but my screen keeps flashing and my charger is a little screwed up, I can't even plug it in, I'll talk to them tomorrow, but I'd rather drive a few more minutes to get it repaired then use their service again

Not really impressed with their pricing. My daughter brought her laptop in because it was having issues. They claimed to have fixed it, but the next day she tried to use it and it didn’t work. We paid them $120 for the work and had to bring it back in just to find out they couldn’t fix it. They refused to refund her the money she spent, but rather give her a discount if she needed any further work done on a different item. I believe they knew it was unfixable and took her money. I get having a diagnostic fee, but not a $120 fee.

I thought the customer service was great! I brought my pc which I had built in to the shop and I was met right away and asked what the problems were. The only thing I thought wasn't great was that it was $63 just for a diagnoses which just adds on to the 8-9 hundred I had spent on parts. Although it's not too bad seeing as how it had been sitting for a couple months and it would have been a lot longer if I had not brought it in. :)

Baseline tasks performed proficiently, advanced tasks big miss. I had a couple guys come out to my house to reestablish control of a home network system from Ubiquity. They were confident in their abilities and said they knew the OS well. Turns out there were some issues with my PC, so we moved forward with my Mac. There were some other small issues with a HD on the computer so they took it and I gave them the passwords for the network log in. I fully expected full control and visibility for the two network controllers but that task was not completed. Over $600.00 in service repair bills with less than 75% accuracy in completion. Look over your bill correctly it seems they do not understand the tax laws in MN and are charging tax on labor.

Brought in my Razor was told they charge a $59 Diagnostic fee which would go towards fixing my laptop, i was told my charger was not putting out enough power and he could fix the cable and that the laptop issue was a blown fuse on the motherboard which they can not do. Went to pick up and the did not fix anything they claimed they would and still insisted on charging me. Took it to techmate no diagnostic charge, charger just needed a wire re wrapped and micro soldering $50. RB needs to be better customer service never fixed anything.

I have nothing but high praises for RBs! I brought in my business computer for a simple tune up which led to another issue. After their tech was not able to resolve it they immediately offered to resolve the issue by rebuilding my computer (at no cost to me). And...They had me back up and running within a day! A special THANK YOU to Amy and Todd who graciously answered all of my questions with kindness and honesty! Their customer service is superior to none! I can 100% recommend their services!

We used RB computer service a few times until the last time they had a tech come to our home to fix a lap top computer and he stayed for 4 hours fixing it! They never informed us before fixing it that if they had taken the computer and done the work in their Elk River office it wouldn't have cost us half as much. They could have given us a choice before they started fixing it but instead they stayed in our home for 4 hours charging us a total of approximately $450!! What a shock! Then they took the computer and wouldn't give it back to us until we paid the $450 in full even though we asked them WHY they wouldn't have given us a choice to take the computer and do the work at their office which would have been cheaper by far! They were not looking out for the best interest of their customer! In my mind they didn't care about the customer because when they realized it would take 4 hours they should have let us know and given us a choice!! The computer wasn't even worth the amount we had to pay to get it back! Very said! The owner was belligerent about making us pay and was NOT willing to budge at all!

STAY AWAY!!! I brought my MacBook pro in for a screen replacement and was told it will be over $100 to inspect the computer. I asked if I would have to pay that even if it couldn't be fixed? He said (owner I believe) typically no, just depends what we have to do to diagnose the computer. I thought that was fair and went along with dropping my computer off to get fixed for a hopefully reasonable price. I get a update saying my computer needs the screen replaced. Which I already knew when dropping off my device.. I was also informed that the part is out of stock and they will keep an eye on it and try to get one soon. More time goes by with no luck so I pick up the computer and get charged over $100 just for them to look up a part and tell me something I was already aware about with my computer... Disappointing but it is what it is... Until now, is why I am extremely upset and writing this review. Apple has since fixed my mac for under $700 and his quote was about $800 if I remember correct. (but he couldn't even end up getting the part...) So even if he would have fixed my computer I would still have been at over $100 loss. I suggest anyone to at least check apple pricing first as in my case that should have been my first choice. At least my computer is fixed now but this company didn't deserve any of my money just to overquote me and take a service charge for looking a part up.

I feel that I should write a real review for R&B Computers. I have had them as my only computer service for the last 5 years. They have done everything from installing new hard drive, selling me a laptop, removing viruses, installing the latest anti virus programs. I am 67yrs. old and have dealt with a lot of businesses. I have never over all my years found a place like R&B's, this is a business you can put your full trust in. The company is not out to take advantage of you. If they say you a new part they don't say it unless you really need it. If I could give them 6 stars I would. Curt

A few weeks ago, our location had been dealing with multiple issues again after having a different company out. Some things seemed small and I figured they were "simple" issues that I could fix myself...that was a mistake as I made a fine mess of things. Thankfully the technician came out and was able to fix what I broke along with all the other issues and everything has been running great since. Thank you!
