I just called JBJ about a computer fan that was making lots of noise and they told me that they were quite busy but if I gave them a call the next day then they might be able to squeeze me in. They didn't just leave it there, the girl on the phone asked me what the problem was and then proceeded to give me some diagnostic tips. As it turns out, her tip of testing which fan was making the noise worked and now it's not making the noise :) No charge for her helpful advice. I don't know of many other companies out there who would take time during a busy day to help someone who wasn't even a customer yet. Good job. Thanks again. Will definitely give them a call if I have other computer problems.

Dropped off my external hard-drive for repair (it wasn't working at all), they worked on it to try and get it operational but to no avail :( however... there was no charge for the service I received! The staff answered all my questions and was super friendly. I will definitely be taking to my tech troubles to them in the future. Only gave 4 stars because my problem wasn't actually repaired this time, but will change that in the future if I ever have an issue that is actually resolved by there team.

I was really pleased with the service that I got at JBJ. I took in a desktop machine with a power supply that was making a ferocious racket. They changed out the fan and I was able to pick it up a day or two later and it's been fine since. Very reasonable pricing. Then I took in another desktop machine with a failing hard drive running a linux operating system. They were able to recover the data on the hard drive, and put that data and operating system onto a new drive for me. Again it was ready in just a few days. Pricing was very reasonable. I would absolutely go to these guys again.

Jbj was not helpful at all. I had previously purchased parts there, and when I went in for assistance with troubleshooting a new build, they were dismissive of my problem. They went on to help 2 other customers in the store (that entered after me) and ignored me while I stood there with my non working computer. They didn't make any suggestions or offer to take a look at it, or do anything productive at all. I ended up leaving because I had stood there for 5 minutes without anybody making eye contact with me. It seemed like because my issue was potentially complicated, they had no desire to work with me, and would rather help some other customer recover his Google password. I felt like they didn't care about me because I had ordered most of my parts online from Amazon, even though I was willing to pay for service. Would not recommend this shop to others. Bad service. Dismissive of new customers. Edit after response: the fact is I ended up buying a second CPU to test with, buying a second motherboards to test with, and in the end it ended up being an old power supply that was not supported. The fact that your staff did not even bother to take a single look at my computer or try to help troubleshoot with me was a huge disappointment. Google was much more useful than your staff was. If your staff had taken the time to actually help me and look at my computer they may have had another suggestion other than a bios update, which was just a potential solution that I had thought. the fact that you did not give me any other ideas, or any assistance at all whatsoever other than telling me that you could not help me with my idea of fixing the solution is the problem. Very poor service. If there's anything I've learned from working retail / sales / support is that you must ask the customer questions. Find out what their real problem is and help them find a solution. The fact that your staff did not ask me a single question about what was happening and instead told me that they could straight out not help me was very disappointed. if they had bothered to ask what is happening to your computer, what is happening when you press the power button, are you seeing lights, etc etc would have been helpful. Straight up telling me that you could not help me with my solution was pathetic. I stand by my original review, and will continue not recommending you to everybody I know.

Cindee, at JBJ, should give an international workshop on customer service. She knows her stuff and was dedicated in helping me solve the pickle I had put myself in. Because I'm presently in a remote location, I could not get into the shop, so she took the time, via lots of emails, to sort out what I needed, and sent it off to me with a runner. Certainly saved my patootee. And I was so incredibly grateful that somewhere..someone... still sees the value of customer service. Such a rarity nowadays. Simply the best!! Thanks so much!

Legit people working here. Not all up in your face like the folks who work at memory express or like the late NCIX in the big city. Phoned in and had a product brought in. Price was a bit more then other competitiors but the location is way more convenient.

I built my first PC and had some issues with it. I went to JBJ and they helped me figure out my problem and ordered me a new part that was not functioning properly. Their service was excellent and they were very helpful showing me what my issues were. I highly recommend them for parts, service, reasonable prices and overall customer satisfaction. If there was a rating higher than 5 they would get it. I went there with a problem laptop and they answered all my questions and gave me some suggestions that really helped me out. I checked out some of their refurbished computers and the prices are very fair to below what others charge. Loved that place. Smiles and concern made my problems seem not so bad, especially when they solved my problems.

The service was great. I ordered a custom system and they were able to get the components in a timely fashion. Put the OS on and what other programs requested. They only load what the customer wants for programs and apps and were friendly and patient to deal with. I would recommend them for your computer needs.

So I go into jbj to buy a new computer. First question they asked is do you want a new or a used computer. I wanted a new computer. They go into the back and get an empty box and stick me with the demo that was on the counter for I do not know how many weeks/ months. They never offered a discount for the demo computer they stuck me with, and insisted its a "new" computer when I asked for a discount on the demo computer I got stuck with. Slow and freezes up all the time. Will never use or recommend this store to any one. BTW I said I wanted a new computer!

I have had several dealings with JBJ over the last 5 years. In 1 instance I had a hard drive crash I took it to another computer tech co. on the same street I was told the data was unrecoverable. I took it to JBJ they recovered everything for me and then took my laptop and cleaned it up n/c

We're willing to help but seemed expensive for what needed to be done. Edit: I needed a bios updated on a motherboard. As I said in my original review JBJ was more than willing to help however, I was quoted 89.99+tax which I find steep for something that should take no more than 20 minutes.

We have required JBJ’s service twice in the past couple of months for Microsoft issues. After spending numerous wasted hours on the phone with Microsoft customer “non”-service to resolve an issue they created with their updates, we took in our PCs to JBJ. They resolved the issues both times efficiently, quickly and at a reasonable cost. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

I purchased a fairly high-end computer from JBJ after a bad experience at Best Buy where they swapped out a lower end graphics card without explanation or reduction in price. JBJ were able to put my custom build together within 4 working days and I am incredibly pleased by the quality and experience working with their staff. On top of that I get a 2 yr. in house warranty. Best Buy required you to add a Geek Squad supplement, otherwise it would have been a 1 yr. manufacturer warranty. Buy local.. you can't go wrong.

EDIT: Brought my girlfriends mac book in here and had another great service for a fair price. Had a crashing program fixed and the computer cleaned and optimized to run smoother as it is quite dated. I have been here a quite a few times for products. They always have fair prices and everyone here is quite knowledgable. I have also had services here. The prices are amazing. The service is amazing, and I am overjoyed with the results. I have brought them two laptops, both not turning on. The one I got back within two days, fully functioning and working better than before I had it crash, and I paid half of what I expected to pay. My second was a much older laptop that I just never bothered to get checked. Turns out from all my traveling parts were becoming loose and shorting out. Sadly the older laptop needed extensive repairs and I decided to not pursue fixing it. They didnt even charge me. I will be bringing my custom desktop to these guys as well, and I am looking forward to future business here.
