Hi. I was referred to NetPlus from a friend. I was having trouble finding an ethical, honest computer shop that I could trust. I decided to go all the way to Ellesmere and Kennedy in Scarborough from Malton in Northeast Mississauga, where I live.
I got very detailed (within reason) explanations of what was wrong with my old HP computer. The techies got the computer unstuck; I forgot the exact details, unfortunately. I am not computer savvy, but just know enough to get onto the Internet, do emails, watch videos, file pictures, etc. Several times I had the AJ (one of the techies) do a repair on my computer by Teamviewer 12 remotely. Now I know how to pay for the service by e-transfer. The rate was very reasonable.
My computer was shown by Mujee, the owner to have several capacitors which were deformed with the tops bulged out (not flat), which meant that they were close to dying on me. He said that it was better to get a another preowned computer than to repair the 10 years old one that I had. I bought a Dell T1600, got a good solid state hard drive put into it, and tested it. They formatted it, and then downloaded everything out of my old computer onto the Dell. This was occurring also at night when the techies were gone. In the morning, I went to pick up the new Dell, and it was ready. Mujee explained carefully how it worked, meticulously let me test it to see that it was much faster, and then answered questions about how the image on my old monitor was beyond the right edge of the screen. He explained that new videos are of a wider format which doesn't fit onto my more square screen. I will eventually replace the monitor. He answered more questions, and was with me for over 3/4 of an hour, but only asked for $30 for the other help not specifically about the computer purchase or setup.
I feel Mujee's sincerity, and trust what he tells me. He also has a computer teaching school next door; he teaches many of the techies in the big box stores and computer shops. He tries so hard to make sure that I am happy, and within reasonable time constraints, is very patient of my computer semi-literate questions. The answers to these questions would seem so simple and obvious to him, but he understands my lack of data about it. He is far more patient and detailed than the slicker, in a hurry salesmen types at the other two computer shops in Mississauga that I went to. I don't think that Mujee is lying to me when he gives me advice; that gives me a calm, warm, secure feeling. Now you know why I'm willing to fight traffic on the #401 to see them; a 30 to 45 minute drive each way.
Thanks, Mujee and team,
