Extremely disappointed with this "local" company. I called and spoke to them about switching my Internet service to them. They confirmed the details with me, and booked an appointment for Dec. 19 (anytime between 9-5). I called on the 18th to confirm everything was still a go, and was told it was. At 4:40 pm on the 19th, after staying home from work all day, I called to say nobody had shown up all day, and was told they'd check into it and call me back in 10 minutes. I called back an hour later after never getting a call back, and they'd closed for the day. They called me the next morning and said they'd "sent an inquiry" to Cogeco, but weren't sure what was going on and would call me back as soon as they had something, but that I should try plugging in my modem in case it had been set up without my knowledge. I tried that after work, and no go. They called me this morning (21st) and said there had been issues on the Cogeco side (something about the old owner of the house not having cancelled their service properly), and so a new appointment had been scheduled for me for January 10. At that time I told Bluewater Tek I wanted them to cancel my service and refund me for the service they'd already charged me for, at which time he told me that I had to call a third company, Altima, to get a refund. This was confusing to me, as I'd given my credit card information to Bluewater Tek for payment, and they had no problem arranging for my credit card to be charged, but couldn't make arrangements for a refund. When I called Altima, I was told they'd have to check in with their accounts department and call me back.
