I googled this shop after my PC went down to find Home-Tech is open the earliest in town by hours, I walked into the shop ready to drop $1K on what I thought was a Motherboard issue, short story even shorter..I walked out in fifteen minutes and paid $32.00, I am beyond pleased with the service and my rig is running fine as I waited a few days to post a review, Thank you!

Great technician. MY MSI gaming laptop wouldn't even turn on. Right in front of me John took it apart in like 2 minutes. Seems a faulty fan became disconnected from the motherboard and since the motherboard detected no CPU fan, it wouldn't turn on. Once John connected the fan's cable to the motherboard it started up. He then secured the cable so it wouldn't slip off again. John explained to me that this brand of computer has numerous issues with its fans. Hopefully nothing else goes wrong. Thanks John

I took my home computer to this business for the first time as was highly recommended from a friend. I must say he is very honest, took time to explain everything clearly for dummies, made excellent recommendations and was able to fix my computer just like new and next day service. I am very impressed with this business and would go back again as prices very reasonable and no locked in costs like some box stores. He saved me $$$. Most of all he knows his stuff inside and out. I would recommend him for computers, laptops, ipads and iphones for improving performance. The nice thing he does not sell computers but fixes them. Makes a difference I think.

John was able to fix the power button on my laptop... I ordered the new switch from Amazon... only issue I had was he broke multiple tabs on the inside of the bottom cover plate... and then basically tried to hide it by using a hot glue gun for temporary holding. I went back and now I have black electrical tape on the bottom cover along with the 1 HP screw... Yes the laptop will now turn on.... but now it also wears electrical tape where it shouldn't . So decide.. working... and pieces not fitting back together properly... Or not working and no use other then as a paper weight. Thanks for the 1st half anyways John.... not so much on the 2nd half. Jen Above review was done in Summer of 2019. November 19, 2019 John bought the replacement cover after the review above was posted on Google Reviews. SO there is definitely something to be said about writing a review on Google. John did get the new cover.... I installed it myself. Which means he gets my rating to change from a 2 star to a 3 star. Please think about informing the consumer previous to breaking things that it might be a possibility, and the options due to it. Being up front with information allows people to make an informed decision. Just like communication other then by a google review also speaks of integrity. I wish you well with your Business. I had a problem with the CPU fan in my desktop. The replacement fan I received from Amazon was DOA! Home Tech determined quickly what the problem was and replaced the fan. Computer works fine now. The process took less than one hour and the service was exemplary. I not only recommed this service I will use this service the next time my computer "throws a hissy".

John is excellent. He will always take the personal customer care time out to really explain things to you so you understand problem. While other places rush you in the door and out he won't. He got the magic genius or PhD behind him it comes to diagnosing computer problems and fixing virtually any problem.My laptop been running 11 years now and am looking at upgrading due to changes in technology and speed but only reason it keeps ticking is the work John done to keep it going at lot less cost then replacing something every 2-3 years. You want honesty and support go to Home Tech. Go to John. He the best I have experienced and won't try up sell you on crap you don't need. He the honest mechanic it comes to computers.

I brought in my MSI laptop, it had encountered a problem leaving the computer unresponsive, no lights, no boot and no post. 15 minutes of trouble shooting they narrowed down the issue to a the failed component, 5 minutes later we had the computer working again. I have taken my computers here for years and always get amazing service.
