Just recently switched to a new phone (first brand new phone for me since 2001) and was clearly uncertain about committing. Travis was excellent with helping me get a phone that was geared towards my personal use and lifestyle. Also helped me to ensure that my contract stayed as close to home as possible. Beyond that, he has provided me with support whenever I go in there, from installing my screen protector to answering any and all questions that I have had (and there were a lot). Twice I have purchased cell phones at this location. My first experience Taylor went above and beyond to get me the phone I wanted from another location. When the phone took longer than expected in shipping the staff was open and clear with their communication and made sure any concerns I had were dealt with. This past week I bought another phone from Joey and once again received top notch service. In and out quickly and everything clearly explained and dealt with. This store has some of the best customer service out of any location or other box store I’ve been to. Highly recommend having Taylor and her team handle any of your needs.

Mid November I was told when they get thier new shipment in of PS5s that they would not be sold until people on their wait list were contact....so I was placed on the list. I continued to call and check in with them over the next month to make sure I would still be contacted and was assured I would be. I called today again and was told, "sorry, shipment came in and we sold out in 10min...we were too busy to call you" Absolute waste of my time and pathetic customer service.

Today I had an amazing customer experience with Farzad shopping for an Apple AirPods Pro. First I called in the afternoon to check their stock and he was nice enough to put one on hold for me. Then after I got there he surprised me with some amazing offers. Sales associates were not helpful at all when it came to phones. Don't know what changed in the last year, but the customer service used to be much better, and the store was cleaner as a whole. Everything is dirty, stock on the floor, no prices on products, yet staff are all standing around as if there's nothing to do. No staff wearing name tags, no uniforms. I was left alone in the store for 10 minutes while the staff all went out for a smoke. Used to be my favourite store in town, now I try my best to avoid it if I can.

I subscribe to their email campaigns, and I like being in the loop so that when items I have been looking at goes on sale. The staff is attentive and knowledgable, and polite when assisting me and I notice it with their other customers too. The selection is fair, and because it is in Thompson, some items' color is not always available. However, they can order it for you and I received mine normally in 3 days. They also carry Bell MTS so very convenient for me when phone shopping.

NEVER SHOP AT 'THE SOURCE' They sell products for hundreds of dollars that do NOT work from day one and then you are stuck with it until Doug Ford, in his usual style, finally allows stores to reopen, which one should expect ro be months from now and not bext week, because they refuse to take it back. Atleast when you order from Amazon and a product doea not work you can send it back and they happily refund your money. THE SOURCE is using this pandemic to get people's money and not deal with their issues, leaving people with faulty products for months that will probably be forgotten on a shelf and never taken back. Thus, THE SOURCE is making money off of people in a time where ever penny counts and keeping a customers money after selling them a useless product is disgusting. Don't shop there. Half of the products I purchased there have not work from day one. Exceptionally bad customer service.

The customer service has gone downhill horribly since the blonde girl named Jen stopped working there. She used to give excellent customer service, but they let her walk away, so other than Nick, no one good works there. The new manager (calls himself Bobby to customers) is very rude and short with both customers and staff. They should have paid Jen more to stay, but it's their loss. The store is way too dark (fix your lighting), and clean all the toys off the floor. It also smells, um....interesting in there. I've also noticed that Nick, Paul, and Bleron are no longer there either. When those 3 and Jen were working, you had a sense of confidence that the staff was knowledgeable. Now.....ehhhhhh....no... It's quite obvious Jen was the glue that held that place together, now they are all going to The Mobile Shop because Jen is there and treats customers better.

They had a great sense of humour and made what would have been, anywhere else a very frustrating visit, they made it fun. The help I received from Marvin, in particular, was so friendly, fast, and competent. He replaced and installed my screen protector for free because of all the trouble I experienced. I even called in advance to ask where to park since I am not familiar with North Vancouver, and the directions I received on the phone were so clear and helpful. Thank you! Both store assistants didn't acknowledge me throughout, both were busy setting up phones that were clearly going to take alot longer than just the 15 minutes I had waited. A 3rd team memeber came out from the back and left for home about 5 minutes into my wait. Maybe acknowledgement from the staff would have encouraged me to wait longer but instead I left to spend elsewhere rather than be ignored.

Before visiting The Source, know that you cannot refund any of their products once the box has been open. The only exception being if they, the people at The Source, determine your product as "defective." Just go to Best Buy instead, as you can actually return and exchange products there. This kind of common courtesy is not seen at The Source.

After resisting upgrading my iPhone6 for years and years, I finally decided to take the plunge (only because some programs weren’t able to upgrade/download on my phone anymore). I reluctantly went to the mall, and my daughter pointed out The Source to me, which had never registered in my brain before. I was immediately approached by a courteous young man, KARAN, who, without any pressure whatsoever, answered my myriad questions and was very patient with my ignorance. I had to leave for an appointment, but he gave me all his notes to review; I returned later that night to buy the new phone; Karan spent 1.75 hours with me, including 1hour after the mall had closed, helping me transfer all my files from my old phone. I don’t think I’ve ever benefitted from such careful attention and good service from a salesperson before! I highly recommend Karan. Incidentally, before heading back, I walked down to the Rogers store in the mall (because I’ve been with Rogers since the dawn of time). The two salesmen there, who were both with customers, did not look up once at me while I waited right in front of them for about 10 minutes. When one of them finally decided to pay me some attention, and I told him I was interested in buying the iPhone **, he simply said “we’re out of stock”, and nothing more! I was flabbergasted.

Bought wireless headphones for TV. If you have a sound bar on your TV now, most wireless headphones wont work. It needs the audio cord to work wireless. Or BTooth. Returned with zero issues.

I have been dealing with the Whitehorse Source franchise for over a week now concerning an Acer Aspire E 15 E5-5253-979H. The machine was purchased in February 2017 and I purchased ACP coverage through the Source at the time of purchase. The machine is defective and 64 bit processing cannot be enabled. ACER will not fix the problem and the Source has still not replied in writing to my concerns. I last dealt with the Manager on this topic last Thursday August 24, 2017. At this point I am not hopeful that the Store Manager will respond. I will give this store a rating of 3 right now.

The store is nice and the staff is helpful and professional. Pretty much what you would expect from The Source. Unfortunately all the Radio Shacks have closed and the selection of electronic components and such is lacking. But worse than that is, items outside of what is available at every Walmart are priced in a way they just can't compete with online sources. Products like contract phones and other things that are basically available everywhere are comparably priced, but as I described you can get them at basically anywhere (even the grocery store sells phones). Often I need a small cheap electronic item urgently and will check to see if they have it (the kind of things that were in every RadioShack, odd sized batteries for instance), and on the rare occasion that they do have it stocked it will often be priced many times what the product is actually worth. For reference, once I needed a few random resistors worth about .50 cents or so online and it was $4.99 at The Source. Another occasion I needed a battery that is not quite common (AAAA sized. They have them at places like Best-Buy and sometimes corner stores, for iPad and Surface tablet Pens) and they charged me over $20 for a 2-Pack. On Amazon.ca you can get an 8-Pack of AAAA shipped to your door next day for less than $10 bucks. In general I am apt to buy from a local brick and mortar for the benefits (supporting the community, local customer service, the ability to see and touch the product before you buy) but when the store is just a large international chain, it becomes quite hard to justify paying prices like that unless you need it immediately for work purposes. I can't say this is exactly a reflection on the store itself so much as it is the state of retail commerce in an internet era, but some of their pricing borders on usury.

Went to purchase a phone case it was on clearance 14.89 cashier rang it through it came up at 29.98The cashier told me the tag was wrong and I should have read the bar code on the tag and it was inches from the floor and I'm handycaped . I bought a phone at the Source just for it's Advantage Warranty, which sounds great on paper. The phone took over 2 months to fix!! I was told (by the manager) that it would take 3-5 weeks. Furthermore, they never updated me on the status of my phone, I had to keep going into the store and ask what was going on (the employees were all very helpful and knowledgable on that front). When I finally lost my patience at week 8 the manager was very little help and while she did try to help (as best she can), she diverted the blame to her other employees rather than find concrete solutions. This was piss poor service at best and I wish I had gotten my phone somewhere else.

Alot has changed at The Source in the years since I managed the store. Customer service is definitely lacking these days. There has been time recently I've stood around in the store for 10 min before someone has come out of the back to greet me. Product knowledge doesn't seem to be as important anymore unless you are looking for one of their best sellers or any Bell services. The atmosphere of the store is cold and uninviting. Sure it's bright and clean but it just doesn't give a welcoming vibe. I'm not trying to bash them as a disgruntled former employee. I'm just calling it as I see it. And I'm not the only one that feels this way. I have a lot of former regular customers who I see every so often that tell me they avoid shopping there now if they can. Unfortunate, but it is what it is

I was looking for a specific TV mount on The Source's website and I could not find it. I called customer service asking about the product as I purchased it before. I was transferred to the Billings Bridge store and spoke with Nick. Nick was very professional, patient and helpful. Nick not only checked the computer for availability, he personally checked the backroom and was able to find the item I need (Not available in stores or online anymore). the item was put on hold for me to pick up. I had a great experience at this store! I had a problem with my phone for a month, and 2 wonderful staff Rav and Cole were so helpful! They were both trying to figure out what was wrong with my phone because I couldn't receive any local calls beside my husbands. They were on the phone with Virgin for some time. I ended up spending 3 hours with them to fix my phone. They did not have a bad attitude whatsoever, extremely positive people just trying to help me figure out what was wrong (turned out there was something wrong with my phone number so I switched to a new one.) They genuinely care about their customers and their needs, so I really recommend coming to this store if you have questions with your phone or anything to do with electronics!

I went in to buy a lightening to digital AV adapter, it didn't work so I went to return it and the employee told me he informed me on the return policy for Apple products. He never did and was so rude when I kindly told him he didn't. That didn't matter to me, I bought a product that didn't work and if I needed to get in contact with Apple directly that's fine by me but going in there for help and being called liar isn't something you should do to customers. On another note when I went into the source to get a new phone because my phone broke I couldn't use my phone protection which I paid for so I was like ok ill just buy a phone outright. No you can't buy a phone outright there and not only that but if I bought a phone then I couldn't use my protection plan to have my other phone fixed. Never had this problem any where else so just a word of warning. Prince rupert source in particular has some of the worst customer service I've seen and I don't recommend going there at all. I'd suggest either wallmart or Andres, you can find almost anything you need there. Not too many places to choose in town unfortunately.

I grew up with Radio Shack. I was able to get all sorts of electronic components and tools there. Over the past 10 years they slowly became useless to me as they stopped carrying all the useful things my colleagues and I would obtain there. They dont carry anything electronics related anymore just big box consumer electronics. Even then they barely know anything about what theyre selling. Ive recently stopped shopping there all together as theyre useless. If i wanted expensive electronic gadgets Id goto Best buy. I have to order everything online now.

Bought a pair of UrBeats at this store. They stopped working before the 1 year warranty was up. I was told to contact Apple so I did so. Apple told me there is nothing they can do because the warranty starts when the store buys from Apple and not from when I bought them from the source. Therefore I lost out on my warranty. This was never mentioned by anybody there, I was actually told the warranty would stand. DO NOT BUY APPLE PRODUCTS FROM THE SOURCE. Unless you want less than a years use out of your product and no return.

Fighting off hordes of zombie ninjas, I backflipped in to the store anticipating my next death defying adventure complete with laser cats, t-rexes and explosions, but boy, was I wrong! The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and not ONCE did they try to kill me. Picard transported me down the tv I bought the previous day and I had no issue returning it for another. Yes, I had a problem and they did everything they could to make it right. I ended up with an upgrade (which I happily paid a bit more for) and still no attempts on my life. AWESOME. The staff are so helpful. I had a problem with another my phone and phone plan that I have through Rogers, and they helped me immediately and without hesitation. The local Rogers store had a line up out front because of their covid capacity limits, but at the Source I walked in and was assisted right away. Within moments my problem was fixed. This is not the first time that I've received excellent and knowledgeable service from the Source Sales Reps. My only regret is that I have only recently subscribed to a Rogers plan, otherwise I would subscribe to the phone plan at the Source in a heartbeat!

Wow! What amazing customer service. I’ve searched everywhere online and in stores and the Source was the one place that had what I needed in stock. I walked away with more items than I was expecting to purchase while STILL paying less than I would have with Best Buy or WalMart. I signed up for Bell Fibe through the Source as well and though it won’t be installed until December my bill has gone from over $200 a month with Shaw to $130 with Bell with faster internet and built in channels that I previously paid for with Shaw. I also get to keep my number lol. I’ve pretty much decided to never go anywhere else for electronics ever again ????????‍♀️. Thanks guys! ????

Worst place to buy headphones! I bought a pair of headphones there only four days ago, and after a few hours of using them, one speaker had already faded out, and was very hard to properly hear. Wow! I stuck with them either way, and dealt with it. After three days of painfully trying to get my BRAND NEW headphones to work properly, one of the the speakers is now COMPLETELY dead. I do not have a receipt either. If you replace the headphones, and give me a brand new pair, then I will delete this review. If you refuse to replace my headphones (that I paid for with my HARD EARNED MONEY) then I will never shop at your store again, and I will keep this review up. All I can say to people is that you should NEVER buy headphones from the Source. It might be Sonys fault, but I have a feeling that they sell really cheap headphones, and pass them off as brand new, and working.
