We have had two excellent experiences. First, my iphone was damaged from impact. They diagnosed the problem and on my behalf dealt with Apple through Applecare resulting in my phone being replaced. Secondly, my husband brought our Macbook Pro vintage 2009 in thinking we needed either a new charger, a replacement battery or a new computer. Without hesitation the computer was attached to a diagnostic tool and the technician spent a full 15 minutes diagnosing and explaining his findings. Turns out the computer is fine and he explained some strategies to maintain the health of the battery and computer. Needless to say we will be going to Alary for all of our Mac service needs. Absolutely recommended.

Staff is not equipped to handle customers well. They commit to a deadline which they don’t mean. I gave me MacBook Pro for the repair. They said the diagnosis will be done in 24hours. It took four days to know the diagnosis which involved replacement of a part. On their assurance that part will be replaced next day I left my MacBook. However part did not arrive even after two days and when I asked for my MacBook they rudely asked to pay for the part and service which I have not utilized otherwise they won’t give my MacBook back. I told them that I will bring my MacBook back once the part is arrived but they didn’t listen. They have not learned to apologize feel for the customer pain.

I have an iPhone and my battery was losing its charge really quickly. So I brought my phone there and told them I had coverage for my phone that I have been paying into. They said my coverage expired 3 days prior, though i made my appointment the week before and nothing was available. They told me they can replace the battery and then call apple to see if they will refund me. I called Apple to tell them about this issue and they started to look into it so I could use my coverage. When they called Alary Technologies, Alary technologies told apple that the battery did not need to be replaced, but they replaced it anyways, without telling me that it didnt need to be replaced, even though it couldn't hold a charge for more than half a day. All in all, this has been going on for 6 days and i did not receive my refund because Alary Technologies told them it was not needed. Horrible customer service and just dismissed all of my concerns.

Repaired the screen to our MacBook on time and within the price quoted. We asked for assistance for an issue we were having accessing an online textbook but the tech did not address it at all or even come out to have a look at the issue. The receptionist gave a unhelpful response and sent us on our way. I would have received better support going to an apple store directly. Next time we will.

When my hard drive crashed on my MacBook Pro, I called Alary 1st thing in the morning, and had my laptop with them within the hour. By 2pm they called back that the drive was already replaced with a new SDD drive and it was ready for pick up. Price was reasonable, and the same day service was great! Back home I simply booted up and followed Mac's instructions to copy all my files from my time machine backups. Took a good day to get all my files back, but now I'm up and going with a system that is better than new! Thanks for being a life saver!

Horrible service... Said they would call the next day. It's been a week... I called and they said they wrote the wrong email address... Why couldn't they callbmy phone? Because the number was right. Oh and they tried charging me extra parts and labor.... Total was over 450$ for a BATTERY REPLACEMENT! Order the part myself for $120 comes with the screwdrivers and it's a 20 min job. I brought both my MacBook with a faulty charging port to Alary, as well as my iPhone which was seemingly bricked and left both times with working devices and having paid absolutely nothing. My MacBook was fixed in a few days and was covered under the apple care plan I had luckily purchased. My iPhone just had a software issue they were able to resolve in just a few hours. No complaints, I will come back here next time.

My Macbook Pro (early 2011 model) suddenly wouldn't boot up and it had a green screen. I did a Google search and found this place. I saw mixed reviews but I thought I would give it a try. I had to book an appointment online which I found convenient and easy to do. I received an email confirmation. I even received a initial assessment from the problem I described. When I arrived, the rep was very nice and he knew exactly what was wrong with the laptop. He explained what I could do to retrieve the information. Although my laptop is obsolete, I felt confident to move forward with extracting the hard drive on my own.

I was really nervous to bring my computer to Alary Technologies because of the bad reviews on google, so I called The Computer Mechanics in Oshawa instead. They directed me back to Alary because I had hard drive issues with my Macbook pro. Alary was great! The technicians took the time to listen to my concerns and work with the things I wanted accomplished. The receptionist was really nice and fun, I had a nice time talking to her and when she could tell I was worried about my computer, she went to double check answers with the technicians. I appreciate the time the receptionist and the technicians put in to re-assure me and they made sure we were on the same page. I also was initially worried about the cost but when I arrived I saw that my bill was about $50 less than the quote they originally gave me. Overall I am happy with the customer service and work they did!

Called Alary to book an appointment to replace my iPhone 6S battery and there was no available appointments for a week. The guy on the phone said that if I was able to drop it off and leave it overnight for 24 hours that he would be able to fix it in-between appointments. I dropped it off on Monday around 3:00pm and it was ready for pick up the next day on Tuesday at 4:45pm. I was quoted to be charged $44 for the replacement battery and ended up getting it for free when the receptionist told me that it was covered under a recall from Apple. Great service.

I have yet to bring them a problem they couldn't solve. I have been using mac since my childhood. Consequently I have ancient technology that I needed the harddrives saved off of. Alary was the only place in Durham with the know how to do it. That being only one of the odd hardware problems they have solved for me. Super friendly knowledgeable staff.

I took my very old 2009 27-in iMac to Alary for repair and was very pleased with the results. They were professional, fast and the fee was quite reasonable. Dealing with Alary Tech was refreshing compared to dealing with repair technicians in Toronto where you're treated more like a number than a person.

Sent here by Apple Care. Was able to get an appointment in two days. They completed a battery replacement for a iPhone 6. Dropped phone of, they said it would be ready in an hour. Came back within the hour and it was done. Staff are very polite.

These guys get it. This is as close to an Apple Genius bar experience you are going to get, outside of an Apple store. They are knowledgeable, caring and very thorough. I had an iPhone with "touch disease" and I read that Apple Canada would repair it for a cost so I went here and told them what I had read, guy in the front goes and talks to his technician and comes back and says he'd never heard of such a thing. So I go back a second time with all the information printed out, so all looked good then technician says that it looks like the screen was replaced and if it wasn't done by an authorized Apple person (it wasn't) then they can't help. After this I made an appointment with the Genius Bar at the Makrville Mall Apple store and they replaced the phone for a cost (like Apple said they would) with no questions!

I received an email from Apple regarding a hard drive replacement program for my MacBook Pro. The appointment link in the email was straight forward. My appointment was boooked with Alary Technologies. They have done work for me in the past. I took my external hard drive with me. They were very accommodating as I requested they backup my computer with the last saved file. The fee for this service was quite reasonable. I would highly recommend Alary Technologies for any Apple related troubleshooting/repairs.

I dropped my daughters Macbook Pro off on a Friday afternoon 1 hour before closing. Was told it would be 2 business days for repair to get the new part (new topcase/keyboard) which I thought was reasonable and expected the following Tuesday or Wednesday for completion. Rec'd an email on the Monday at noon indicating the repair was completed. Wow...super fast..fantastic service folks!!! Took my iPad Air in last week for warrantee work which was told at the time it was all approved that I would be receiving a replacement iPad Air under warranty a week later I get an email stating that the warrantee has been void do to a slight bend in the casing Which cannot be seen by naked eye They were quick to tell me at the same email that they will be glad to sell me a new iPad same make and same model for $500 I had called Apple myself and talk to A head advisor and he was shocked to hear what happened since then I have received my broken iPad back and Apple is sending me a box to send it straight to them to repair or replace Just a heads up it is easier to call Apple and get them to send you a parcel to ship the Damage Apple product to them then going to a third-party like this place After my experience there I will never be returning back to get any work done here and I will be letting every one know how they conduct their business there

Horrible experience!! I went in to get my iPhone 6s battery replaced since there is a special going on where Apple is reducing the replacement cost to $30. I made an appointment in advance but when I went there I was first left waiting for someone to help me. When they did come out they were very rude and unhelpful. They acted like this was the last thing they wanted to be doing. When he was checking my phone he immediately said that my phone was "bent" noticeably. He then said he would take it to his technician and show him. Not even 30 seconds later he comes out and simply says that the technician refuses to repair the phone because it is deformed and the only way is to replace the entire unit. So I left and ended up going to an actual Apple Store and they replaced it without any problems or questions. Alary technologies was either too lazy to want to repair my phone given the discounted price or they were trying to get me to spend an enormous amount of money to replace the entire unit of my phone when it was NOT needed. Worst place, very unprofessional! Never going back there again. Rather drive 30 min to the closest Apple store than go to this rip off!

Started off good with a friendly receptionist but didn't get the help I was looking for. I made an appointment with Alary Technologies through Apple because my apple monitor wasn't connecting to my MacBook which has never happen before. I was told that they can connect my MacBook with one of their monitors to see if the problem was with the MacBook, the cable or the monitor. After bring told that I would have to leave my laptop with them and will be able to pick it up the next day I ask them if they can just connect my MacBook to one of there monitors to see if i just need a new cable, and the receptionist said they can't since my MacBook would have to go in to the end of the queue. I found this to be kind of Ironic when I saw signs all over the store stating "Apple Prime Service Provider" and "premium service" when they said no to my small request that would takes less than 1-2 minutes. Not to mention if I when to an Apple store they would have just let me connect it to one of the display monitors. After leaving the store I went to Canada Computer ask them if I can use one of the store cables to connect my MacBook to my monitor they helped me out and all I needed was a new cable. I don't plan on using this authorized apple service provider in the future.

Alary Technologies is a great place if your looking to bring in your apple products for assessment or correction. Its convenient for those living in Durham Region and their service is very quick and professional. I was a little hesitant coming here at first because it wasn't apple store itself but you have nothing to worry about. Alary is a certified apple service provider and they are safe and reliable.

It's 2018 in a modern country and this shop does not have accessible pathway for people who have physical limitations. Beware that the only way to get here is by stairs. Forget about getting help if you are incapable of taking the stairs. I came here in person yesterday to inquire for my parents, but realized it's not accessible for them. I didn't bother coming up.

I was referred to this location by Apple for an ongoing call quality issue with my brand new iPhone 11 pro. The reception asked a couple of questions, then took the phone to another room where a "technician" would look at the phone. Not once did the technician come out to talk to me. He ran "some tests" and found the phone to be in working order. No-one looked at notes from Apple, no-one asked me any further questions....if your issue is not simple, do not bring the phone to this location. I feel sorry for the reception, she seems to deal with most of the backlash from unhappy clients. Myself included, I do apologize to the reception for my attitude toward the end of the interaction. Frustration got the better of me.

I had problems with my iMac desktop and took it in to leave it for repair. The technician Ray had a look at it before I left and 1 hour later, my machine was fixed and I was able to take it home with me. Now that's service! Ray was understanding and asked the right questions so he would have some idea as to what might be wrong. As I am one who needs to be talked to in layman's terms, he did just that and explained what was wrong and what he did to fix it. This was the second time I had Ray help me out and I will always request his help if needed again (which of course I hope not). There is no question in my mind that Alary is THE place to go for Apple equipment repairs. Why not when they are so good.

Brought my Mac cable and block in to be serviced. My cable was sent just fine. When I went to pick up my charger they gave me my same power block back with a new cable. They said I didn't pick up the block in time so they had to send it back. When I got home my block wasn't working. I called Alaray and they changed their story and said I didn't even give them a block, just a cable.They also hung up on me. Don't bother with these guys. Just go to Apple. UPDATE: a corporate company that claims to be professional is lying to cover themselves by saying I hung up. Get it together. Apple sent me one directly to my house free of charge this morning no questions asked. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME DURHAM REGION.
