For someone whose first personal computer was a 386 DX2, I've always felt confident using a computer and managing my data. However I made the mistake of thinking my disaster recovery plan was up to snuff. Not so much. Jonathan initially helped me with a new computer set-up in 2016. More recently, and due to the confidential nature of my late husband's employment, I was reluctant to recycle years of computer equipment including cell phones, laptops, computer towers, boxes of hard drives and piles of accessories. Jonathan came to my home, sorted through everything, boxed it all up and took it with him to remove data and ensure that it was all recycled appropriately, and for a very reasonable fee. Was having problems with my 6 month old Asus booting up last Thursday. After a quick google search, I called and left a voicemail. John returned my call within 20 minutes and we made arrangements for me to drop off my laptop within the hour. I use my laptop for work, and Jonathan kept me up to date via text, and upon discovering that hard drive had failed, we decided to upgrade to a solid state hard drive. He copied all my files to the new drive and had my laptop ready for pickup on Sunday, having worked through the weekend to get it ready. I have used several computer services throughout the Ottawa and Kanata area and something has always come up short (service, overpricing, etc..). The Computer People provided honest, professional and competitive pricing without any hassle. I found them on google, i was having an issue with my hard drive, there was a black screen every time it would start up. Jonathan took the laptop in on short notice and within a couple of days everything is up and running. He explained to me when I picked up the laptop exactly what was wrong and what else i can do to prolong the life of the computer which was very informative. I contacted Johnathan after I accidentally knocked a 1/2 bottle of beer on my MAC Book Air. After a couple days the laptop wouldn't start and it sucked. I figured I try get a computer person to see if they could fix it and thats how I found Johnathon off a search . His location is easy to find, he returned my call pretty fast and was flexible for a drop off time. He contacted me as soon as he could, to inform me that it wasn't worth to fix as there were many issues but he could salvage my data. I was happy at least I could get my years of photos, always remember to "Backup". I would recommend him to anyone that required any computer issues.
