Possibly one of the most ridiculous repair situations I've had to deal with. I dropped off my laptop with them to get my LCD monitor cable checked out since I was getting a flickering screen sometimes when I used it and expected them to be able to repair or replace it as it is a rather easy fix. I was out of town and didn't have the time to do it myself, so I assumed they would be competent enough to complete it. 8 days later when I returned home I had found that they hadn't even ordered any parts or tried to fix my cable, at that point I decided to pick up my laptop. After I paid them for the very minimal work they did I returned home to find out that they had damaged the cable to a point where it did not work at all. Please don't make the mistake that I did and find a competent technician to work on your computer, it's worth the extra money.

The owner DOUG, is very rude, unprofessional and in terms that you get into any sort of disagreement even he admits that was his fault he will yell at you and is disrespectful toward customers. I had a very bad experience which they claimed that I haven't paid for the parts while I had. They didn't release the laptop after getting fixed and requested evidence. I went back home to collect evidences and the owner called and said they were wrong. I said I am not happy with their behavior and being disorganized. Simply, I disclosed my feeling and he started yelling and shouting using swearing words on the call. even his employee, ED apologized for his boss behavior. I never recommend them due to the misbehavior, poor customer service and being disrespectful and disorganized.

My son's laptop was totally unresponsive. We took it to this place right before they closed on a Friday night. They phoned first thing Saturday morning with a diagnosis and a very reasonable quote, and had it ready by Saturday early afternoon. Excellent friendly fast service. A great experience.

If you need to repair your computer or perform a hardware diagnostic test to isolate a faulty part then I suggest you go to a different and better equipped place. As a customer, my overall experience with Aurora Computer Technologies was EXTREMELY UNSATISFACTORY. Basically, I came in to determine why there was no signal going to the monitor after booting the computer. This problem arose after I installed a new CPU cooler. During this upgrade I had to attach a different support bracket (for the heat sink) onto the motherboard, so I already suspected that the cause of my problem was a damaged motherboard or the CPU which came into the physical contact with the heat sink. After reading some posts online, it was also suggested that the problem may the result of a damaged video card. So in the end, was I told which of the above mentioned parts were damaged? No! Was I charged for the service? Yes! Would you like to pay money for useless service? Your call.

The staff at Aurora Computer Technologies are some of the most hard working and knowledgeable staff that I have ever met, They fixed my computer which had been heavily infected for quite some time now. Even when I brought it to places like staples to remove the infections and ending up paying over 200 dollars, I was quite disappointed to find that staples were still unable to remove the infections. While at Aurora Computer Technologies they were able to remove all of the infections for cheaper then how much staples were charging. They also have a wide selection of both new and pre-used computers that are quite nice. If you are needing to get your computer repaired or are looking for a new computer from normal laptops to custom made PCs, I would highly recommend going to Aurora Computer Technologies and talking with Ed as he has to be the best computer technician you will ever meet. I brought my Mac Air in as I thought that I had a virus and some things were running slowly. I don't know much about computers and that does put me in a position that someone could sell me something that I don't need. They did find a virus, told me that it wasn't executed so hadn't done any damage, cleaned up a few things, and it was ready the next day. Honest, fast, and reasonable. He charged me $50 for the basic one hour of labour.

My MacBook recently crashed. It would not boot up at all. Apple technical support told me 3 times the computer could not be fixed and my data was lost. Aurora computer technologies was able to retrieve my data, and fix the computer. All for a very reasonable price. I couldn't be happier. Doug and Ed were easy to deal with and were able to retrieve all my information when my old computer crashed. It was a learning curve for me because I was having alot of problems getting my authorization code for my Quickbooks but Ed was very patient with me and helped me whenever I needed assistance and between the two of us, we were able to get me up and going again. I recently just had my Macbook battery replaced. Aurora Computer has guaranteed me that they changed the battery but after less than 2 hours of doing simple work (word, excel, emailing) my computer dies. What a waste of $250 :(

I lost some files. I step on Saturday at Aurora Computer Technologies. ED was nice and tried to help. Since he only works on Saturday, he was not able to complete the data recovery and left a note to his boss, DOUG. I felt that DOUG was very rude to me. Not only, he didn't talk to me nicely, he made me feel as though he was not listening to my concerns. I felt brushed aside and irrelevant. Was I treated this way because I am a woman, because I am a non white Anglo-Saxon ? I will never return. What an ugly experience.

These guys aren't just the classic laptop screen replacers. These guys really know what they're doing. Highly recommend if you have a custom built system and are having any hardware or software troubles.
