Would give 0 stars. Do not purchase any "refurbished" computer from them. Best Buy should not be selling their products. I purchased a iMac through Best Buy that was refurbished by AST and was highly disappointed the fan didn't stop running. I sent it back and was sent another defective computer. Now I'm asking for a full refund. Service tag #71206043. Will be reporting the company to MAR - Microsoft Authorized Refurbisher Program and Best Buy.

I would post a lower but can't. Caution!!!! Do not order from this company. I bought through bestbuy marketplace. I was sent the computer missing hardware so I could download anything. I have been out of work now for 3 weeks because of this ( I need my computer with working sound for my job) so I am out 3 weeks pay and I still havent recieved my refund for the computer that was shipped a week ago.....STAY AWAY FROM THEM.

Don’t buy from them at all unless you want to waste your money. They sell old computers that aren’t refurbished at all. I honestly feel like all the good reviews from this page are bots or they’re either people from the company making up the good reviews. That being said, save your coins and buy a computer from a different company, buying a computer from ast is just a waste and you’ll end up being scammed, trust me. I can’t even get a hold of them to ship back these dusty old computers.

My understanding after consulting with a certified Apple technician is that this organization is selling fake 'refurbished' Apple laptops. These are not refurbished units, but are using taped-together non-Apple parts. Avoid at all costs.

I'm not happy with the surface pro 3 laptop I bought from these guys on Best Buy Marketplace. I am hesitant to even send my broken screen laptop to them and will try to replace my screen at a computer shop if even possible. My laptop came refurbished and I think the screen was even replaced with a poor quality one because my screen cracked easily when my boyfriend leaned on the computer while it was in a protective case and computer bag... it was behind his seat. And it cracked so easily.. he didn't even sit on it. My previous laptop I dropped on the ground and never broke or cracked.. it was still good 10 years after. Do not purchase a refurbished laptop from them.. you don't know what youre getting. And their stupid warranty does not cover cosmetic damages or dents.. so in other words their warranty is useless!

Filed an RMA because a couple keycaps snapped off my Lenovo T440. Spoke with Calvin, he's super awesome and a friendly representative! I was willing to come into the building for repair, he offered me to replace the laptop but I went with asking them to send me another keyboard so I can switch them out easily. Arrived within a couple days and now my laptop works like a dream. I'm impressed, I was worried that nobody would pickup the phone based off these reviews below. They have solid customer service here.

I just wanted to be simple and short because i am afraid I will write something that it’s not on my ethics. This i the worst experience i have ever had for my entire life! Bought refurbished laptop for my kids to do their homework during pandemic time, on WEB site fulfillment 3-5 day, it took a month to receive a broken laptop and its 6 weeks waiting to receive back after i sent it back for service! Worst experience, humiliated, not treated as human. This is how this company it’s considered for me! DISSAPOINTED Waiting for response before i share on social media. I just copied on review it’s exactly what happened to me just dates are different, since I couldn’t comment on his review i am just coping below: “I purchased a refurbished computer through Best Buy Marketplace that came from Advanced Skyline Technology on April 7, 2020, right as COVID19 hit and my son needed a computer to attend his classes. The laptop was shipped on April 10, and arrived April 17. On using the laptop, my son found that it would randomly power itself off, even when plugged in and the battery showing 100% charge, but I was busy dealing with my own business and didn't have time to resolve this issue. I contacted AST on May 26 to be informed that the return period was 30 days and I had exceeded that time period. I was promised an email with directions on how I could send the laptop in for repair. No email arrived, so I contacted AST again and was told by a second person that a refund was impossible and that I would receive an email with repair return details. Again, no email arrived. I reached out a third time to AST and demanded a refund or details on how to get the machine repaired. Their response was that a refund was impossible and that I should send the unit in for repair - but no instructions on where to send the unit were provided. I am now on my eighth communication with AST, still trying to determine where to send their nonfunctioning computer. I have had to purchase a second laptop for my son, and the AST laptop sits uselessly on my desk. I will not deal with Advanced Skyline Technology again, and I would advise that you strongly consider before you do.”

I purchased a refurbished computer through amazon for almost $200. The computer arrived and there is NO software installed. (Which it's supposed to have windows 10) I now have to spend another $150 on a computer repair store to install software because this company wont answer their phones. How do you sell a computer and not make sure its programmed. I ordered this for my sons online schooling.

Bought a ThinkPad X1 from Microcenter that these guys refurbished. The computer does function, but it was very poorly refurbished. There is obvious marks on the bottom from where the Technician slipped with his screw driver, 2 of the screws heads are stripped, the SSD has been replaced with a cheap off-brand unit, and the Operating System was installed using the Bios's legacy mode instead of UEFI, essentially rendering all of the modern security features useless. If finishing the refurb yourself is not an appealing option to you, I would look elsewhere for a computer.

Bought a certified Refurbished computer from them. Bought via Amazon. Fantastic price! No problems, computer was double boxed. When removed, found it was sealed in plastic. Came with keyboard and mouse, WiFi dongle. Computer has been great. Had it a week now. No bloatware. Setup quick. Has a SSD close to 500GB that fly's 16GB of RAM, i7 Processor. Okay the proof of a good seller is support when things go wrong, but the item came with 1 year warranty. Hopefully I will not need it but nice if it dies. Looked inside too. Super Clean! Thus far the computer is garbage. Cursor is always trying to fight it's way to the top right, a half a dozen keys don't work including the number 1 and most vowels. We'll see tomorrow how the customer support is. Update: A week and a half later, they didnt return my first voicemail. The one time I did reach someone he said reinstall windows, that failed due to a hardware error. Their phone system is designed to eventually get away from you and keep you from talking to customer reps. If you jump through enough hoops it will say "please leave a message after the beep and we'll call you back." Then it doesnt beep and hangs up on you for not leaving message.

Bought 2 HP touchscreen refurbs through Woot and they came from these guys. They're not refurbed by any stretch of the imagination. They're a joke. They look like they were bought of Craigslist and dropped into a box. Dirty, paint all over one of them, the cheapest possible keyboards you can imagine and one of the two doesn't work straight out of the box. I've bought refurbed computers before and these don't compare on any level. Not cleaned, no screen protection during shipping and no one bothered to even see if the one computer worked before shipping it. Buyer beware.

Worst quality assurance we've seen in more than 30 years of professional experience. AST refurbs are peddled by everyone from Walmart to Best Buy. We've seen more than two dozen AST refurbs purchased by our clients this year alone. All but one was defective out of the box. Some won't power up. Others refuse to boot. One had a hard disk completely frozen. We will no longer install, configure or service refurbished equipment sourced from AST. We advise our clients to avoid this vendor at all costs.

This company is seemingly a band of exploiters. I ordered a HP EliteBook 840 G2 14 inch Business laptop but instead, received a 820 in October 2020. They offered me $20 and a hard drive as compensation plus asked that I return the item. Their return policy however stated, as an international customer, that I’m responsible for all shipping and customs cost to return the item.

Purchased a chromebook for my daughter. Showed up non-functional, which makes me wonder about the quality control in this place. I contacted them via email to initiate a return but they stopped responding. I ended up having to call (took a few tries) and they said they would ship a new charger. The charger never showed up. I called again and waited again for a new charger. It didn't work. I had to ship the unit back where they said they would refund my purchase when it was received. I had to contact them a week after they received it as no refund had been applied. Finally more than a month later I ended up back where I started. Don't waste your time or money on these guys.

Buyer Beware!!!!!! I bought an HP Compaq Elite 8000 SFF from AST. The PC was fine until I wanted to download OpenGL games. The drivers aren't installed but, it gets worse. When I downloaded the drivers for the Intel graphics chip, the computer pops up a message saying "Unknown Error". When I placed a CD inside the CD- ROM, I clicked on the DVD drive icon in the file explorer and the PC shows a popup message that reads "Please insert a disk in DVD Drive (D:)". I already inserted a disk! The PC's sound was terrible both with internal and external speakers. Probably the PC has a bad sound card. The PC was very dirty inside and I had to clean it out myself. Also the PC has a missing serial number sticker and FCC sticker on it's case. The only sticker on the PC is the COA for Windows 10. The only thing good I could say about AST is that Windows 10 works on this PC.

Purchased a refurbished laptop via WOOT!, meaning that I had no idea where it was actually coming from. The laptop arrived just over a week later (at the end of the expected delivery date), and boots up fine. The plate on the bottom does not lock in place; it had at one point been secured by screws under the battery, but the plate has been broken so that those screws no longer do their job. That's not unreasonable for the price I paid, so I accept that I'll have to apply duct tape. I boot it up, start the process of getting Windows set up (It came loaded with a fresh copy of Win7 Pro) only to find out that the product key stuck to the base plate (which may or may not be the one meant for this computer [see above]) will not activate the copy of Windows loaded on the computer. Their website also will not recognize the serial number of the computer, so I cannot get whatever automated help it might offer and this is a Saturday, and no one answers their phones on weekends. I will update this review with the relevant information as this plays out. ------ 4 days later and they have yet to reply to my email. I've been too busy to call, but did discover that the charger they sent only works intermittently, and the slightest tap can cause it to stop working and charging the computer.

Now I am going to just mention this to make this clear. A lot of 1 review accounts is normally fake that is a great way to see if these reviews are fake usually. AST used to have an average review of 2.4 stars but then a whole bunch of 1 review accounts came in this is a big red flag. At this time, AST is suspended from selling their products on most websites including best buy and amazon. This was due to a BBB case. So if you are wondering as to if this company is good. Think about it this way would you trust a company where at the moment on Sept 6 2021 for the past 3 months they were suspended from most of where they previously sold their products.

Bought a pair of latops off Woot! One arrived DOA, took exactly one month for them to fix it and send it back. If something breaks on it again I'd rather just write it off as a loss than to deal with their warranty department and customer service again.

Don't buy any products from them. They use cheap generic SSD in their products like Kingfast SSD, these usually stop working after 1~2 years and have bad performance. While, my Samsung SSD is still working fine after 8 years.

Bought a refurb HP tower through Best Buy Marketplace and it came from Advanced Skyline Technology. PC ran great for 3 months then died suddenly and without much warning (one BSOD then wouldn't boot). Contacted them and for refurb's they only replace within 30 days but they have a warranty for 12 months. So I had to ship it back to them (my cost, thankfully still had the box) and they fixed and sent back to me (their cost). Still had some issues afterward, but they helped me get Windows back up and running. Very responsive and got back to me within 24 hours each time i contacted them. Seemed like good guys. The Best Buy Marketplace is not intuitive and took a bit to figure out how to send them messages but all in all, happy about the support and my purchase. I recommend them.

I work for a small locally owned business in French Lick IN. We recently purchased 2 refurbished computers from Staples. I set them up, but every time I opened IE, it crashed. I was a little concerned. I called Staples, they directed me to Advanced Skyline Tech. I called and my call was answered immediately by Marty( very friendly). We was able to walk me through the process of updating my drivers and in the meantime while all of that was running, I had a very nice conversation with him. I am very pleased with my experience with Advanced Skyline Tech. Thank You

If only I could give negative stars. I purchased a refurb computer from a buyer I bought from before on Feb 24, 2016. I got the computer and within 24 hours it wasn't working. An IT guy I know was nice enough to look at it and determined it was bad RAM. I was referred to AST since they handle the warranty. Someone there went back and forth with the IT guy before finally agreeing to have the computer returned. I sent it back and got a replacement computer. The packaging was fine but the computer case was badly damaged on the edges. It took 3 guys several hours to get the computer casing door opened. That computer worked all of 7 days. And then I spent most of another month trying to get it resolved. I send the representative an email and he always takes 2 business days to respond. Finally they have agreed the hard drive needs to be replaced but he doesn't send me the UPS shipping label for it and he says they will send me a replacement 1 TB drive but my drive is a 2 TB. I feel like they are trying to send me less than I had to start with. The upshot is that I bought a computer 2 and half months ago and I have gotten to use it all of 9 days. The rest of the time has been spent emailing endlessly back and forth with the warranty company. A year warranty is no good if you spend this much time trying to get the computer working.

I went on Bestbuy.ca to find a black Friday sale. I purchased a laptop refurbished unaware that it was going to be used, scratched so badly most of the paint was missing from the front edge of the case, the ports still had a large sum of dust inside. I never even turned on the power, I want a refund. Advance skyline Technology does not answer the phone and when you send an email requesting to return their product, they give you a run around, requesting pictures and they take 24 hours to respond to each request. I paid 550 dollars for a refurbished laptop and if I saw the condition this thing was in prior to the purchase, I wouldn't buy it at any price. Now I feel like I'm stuck with something that can't be returned. This is wrong

I never post reviews, but these guys deserve negative stars. Purchased four computers and I only have one that requires service, but I cannot get a reply to save my life. A full month of regular attempts without anyone answering the phone or replying to an email. I wish I knew that this company was the support for the warranty when I purchased them, the previous reviews would have scared me away. Buyer beware!

Bought a CPU from what i thought was bestbuy.ca turned out it was best buy market place which has nothing to do with best buy. My CPU took longer than expected to arrive but then it finally came. I plugged it all up for my mother in law only to have it boot loop repeatedly. Horrible purchase also i'd like to note selling people defective junk then calling it refurbished is not cool. Horrible, computer had difficulty charging wouldn't hold a charge and was incredibly slow for having 32GB of RAM, could barely run Lightroom would hate to have a video on the line with that. Bought it through the refurbished section of a company I trust and glad I did they're sending this garbage back and replacing it with an in store model of higher quality. Stay away from Advanced Skyline Technology Ltd. Go to a shop you trust and spend a bit more, I was actually informed that even though they sell these they don't actually get to see them or vet them.

Purchased 3 HP laptops from this company, wish I had actually read the reviews prior, 1 Laptop had a loose screw inside and the left side of the screen was failing, the other laptop left side USB ports don't work and battery release button non-functional, tried contacting support after several emails and stating the obvious bios and reloading would fix this, of course not neither bits of advice would resolve hardware failure and improper repaired assembly, as the earlier person stated I wish I could also give a zero but they did respond to my emails in less than 10 days. STAY AWAY!.

Customer Service is MIA - Purchased a refurbished HP desktop. Computer will not boot up. Called listed customer service and left a detailed voicemail with no response Attempted to contact them 6+ times. Left 2nd voice message. Now a week later, no response, no one to answers the phone, nothing.

Purchased a refurbished laptop from this seller for an elderly relative in a more remote community. The laptop worked for about a day. Unfortunately, we missed the 2 week period to return it, as the package was not opened promptly by the recipient. We have been in touch with the seller to provide additional information why the laptop is not working - to this day, no resolution. I have recently had a chance to personally see the laptop - it is in a very rough shape, and it should have never been sold like that. The power comes on and it sounds like it boots up, but there is no visual at all on the monitor. Also, it's not possible to connect a second monitor via HDMI cable because it won't plug into that port - look like there's rust in that slot. It's absolutely useless. Even for a refurbished laptop, it should have never been sold in such a rough shape. As it stands now, I'm out for $363, and doesn't look like I'll be getting this money back. I would never use this seller again, and I would not recommend them. Buyer beware.

Y’ALL don’t buy from THEM. It’s a HUGE scam. They literally sell you a computer that doesn’t work, that constantly shuts down, that constantly disconnects from the internet. They ignore calls because they know lots of people have these issues. Please don’t buy from them, I’m warning you!

I purchased a computer from CanadaComputers made by AST 3 months ago. The motherboard is completely dead. Since it is refurbished, CanadaComputers told me that it would take 3 to 4 months if they handled the return and asked me to call AST directly. Their phone system only works 10% of the time; so I sent an email and it took 7 days before they would send me an RMA and another three to four weeks before they can repair it. They don't allow me to drop off either! So after spending money shipping it to them, I am without a computer for 2-4 months? I need to spend money to get another computer in the meantime. So in conclusion, their warranty is absolutely useless in addition to the quality which lasted 3 months. *Update 2020-07-14: Although it took just over a month, I am happy with the service from AST in fixing my computer to almost a new condition. The response from support staff is faster with email responses and presumably they expedited my repair service. I received the fixed computer fairly quickly as promised. Thus I decided to update the star rating as well.

Found a refurbished laptop with a 1 year warranty through Newegg.ca. The laptop arrived in a couple days (reason for 1 star). The laptop booted but could not connect to the wifi. I tried driver re installation, checked the wires, removed and re installed the wifi card so on and so on and could not get it to work. In doing all this I also noticed that the screen would black out from time to time while moving the laptop. If I picked up the laptop or changed the angle of the screen it would turn black. I have called these people all day and no one will answer my phone calls or emails. DO NOT BUY FROM THESE CROOKS!

i purchased a computer form this company over amazon for work purposes at the end of december. I received that package on dec 30 and hooked everything up. the monitor wasn't working to i called their support line and the conclusion was that there was an issues and i need to send everything back. received an email after the phone call stating to sent back the shipment via ups and advise when i have dropped it off. the email stated that as soon as they get the information that the package has been returned they would send my replacement unit. my new computer and monitor was supposed to arrive on the 13th and arrived on the 14th with only the computer tower, keyboard and mouse. since my mother ordered this under her amazon account she had sent out an email at 4:30 asking where the rest of the purchase was and also tried to call and have not received an answer. This has been the worst experience ever. i have sent an email to this company again stating that i want my monitor by Monday or i would be requesting a refund. at this point im not sure i even want to keep this computer because it doesn't seem like they have working products. was my monitor not delivered because this company doesn't have anymore is is it missing because someone was too lazy to check what the hell I paid for. the last time i but anything from this company. i'm supposed to be starting a new job which is why i purchased this computer and i needed it last week, thanks to this company and their inability to do anything on time or right, I'm pretty sure it costed me the job opportunity. REFRAIN FROM PURCHASING FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!!! you can read their response to some of the previous revives and one says "if you need us call us from 9am to 5:30 but you call and send them messages at 4-4:30 and no one does anything for you. i will be reporting this company to BBB if i do not hear anything back by monday. they have my money and half my product that i purchased is missing.

I purchased a computer from Best Buys online platform from advanced skyline tech. 8 days later the CPU showed up. The CPU did not work. I contacted best buy to have this worked out, however it took 3 phone calls to advanced skyline tech (not answering or returning messages) and over 40 minutes on the phone with best buy to get these guys to even sent out a shipping label! Now the CPU was sent back over a week ago and still no contact and no replacement in the mail. I have phone AST twice and left messages with no return phone call. So here i sit having ordered a CPU on oct 12, paid for it , having driven across town to deliver a garbage cpu back to AST , spent 3 hours on the phone trying to sort this... and still haven't even got a single phone call from AST.

I bought a ThinkPad "refurbished" by Advanced Skyline Technology Ltd. at Fry's. Returned it immediately when there was no internal battery and the bottom part of the screen was black and not functional. Refurbished doesn't mean broken you dumbos! Scratches on the outside of the machine is fine, but a screen that doesn't work and no internal battery. Really? You guys are good at scamming. Congrats!

I purchased a computer and it stopped working 33 days after I received it.... It no longer boots. They will only repair it if I mail it to pre-paid insured to Buffalo.... It will take 2-3 months to get my computer back. Really? They should really send me a replacement! The customer service person was pleasant - one star.

The laptop I purchased is in really bad condition, in and out. Battery barely lasts one hour. It turns off constantly on its on. It also gets very hot and runs very slow, lagging even when just browsing. I now have to ship it back, which costs half the price of the laptop, and hope it comes back to me good.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY EVER!!! Terrible customer service, incompetent tech support, TOTAL WASTE OF TIME! THEY STEAL YOUR MONEY AND SEND YOU BROKEN GARBAGE. They sold me a computer that has had issues since the minute I took it out of the box. They now expect me to be without a business computer for 3 weeks to send it back to “possibly repair it” when I have specifically explained more than 3 times that this is a business computer that is needed daily, and being without a computer for 3 weeks is not an option.... what a Complete joke. I’m now going to have to pay more money for a tech company who actually knows what they’re doing to look and see if my laptop can even be fixed. I wouldn’t even trust these scam artist enough to send it back to them at this point...they’d likely just rip me off even more.

Bought computer off NewEgg. It was refurbished and shipped by AST. Computer arrives with no HDD detected. I look inside to find the Velcro they applied had failed during shipping, so the HDD fell out of place and was unplugged. I plugged it in and PC worked perfect for like 5 days. Then the screen failed. This company is crazy bad.

WARNING! Apparently, despite having an active website and still active automated phone system this company is no longer in business! Third party distributors may still have AST equipment in stock so avoid at all costs as there will be ZERO help for what will most likely be a non-working product. My company ordered PC's from another company that sources from AST. Almost every computer had issues, missing product key, invalid Windows licenses, faulty power supply, incorrect power supplies for an entire order, PC's failing after only a few days etc. One of our issues with incorrect power supplies took over three months to resolve so we were forced to buy additional PC's to meet our deadline. Our latest fiasco, involved 3 of the 4 computers ordered not being functional. We were unable to get any phone calls or emails returned for weeks so we ended up disputing the charges with our bank. According to our bank, the reason why nobody can get support is because AST is no longer in business. My suggestion is to avoid any site selling AST equipment.

I work for Staples Canada and we carry several products through our online store that are refurbished by this company. Without fail, every time a refurbished computer comes back to us via a customer complaint it was sent to us from AST. They simply don't do their due diligence on quality control and this company makes doing my job very difficult at times. I have had numerous customers complain to me about this company. Trying to deal with their warranty and customer care both as a partner and as a consumer is infuriating and a waste of time. It is my stance that Staples Canada should cut ties with Advanced Skyline Technologies altogether.

Thanks Guys! What a nice little Dell! I ordered the Vostro 230 a week ago and got it yesterday. At the price offered, I did not expect a mouse or a keyboard, even though one of the ads pictured them. Kudos for including them! The keyboard gave me fits last night with a shift key that would stick down every time I pressed it. This morning I popped the shift key off and cleaned the square key socket with an exacto knife--very carefully: a very simple two-minute fix. It now works perfectly like the rest of the keys. The case had some rough scuffs on one side, not unexpected for a PC that has been used for several years. Also, the Microsoft product activation code was missing a letter, forcing me to attempt activation about 20 times. Strange, but no big deal. The inside, however was surprisingly pristine. I hooked this box to my 40" LED, and the includud VLC video player looks and sounds great with smooth and clear upconversion to 1080. Good Value for $109, definitely in my case worthy of 5 stars! You will be hard pressed to find a faster PC in the 3GHz range at the hundred-dollar price point. Thanks again AST!

UPDATE: The company provided a full refund. That does not mean I would purchase from the company a second time. But, I am grateful for the refund. I would give this company zero stars if I could. The company is a scam! I bought a refurbished Dell laptop spring 2020 through Bestbuy. It was the first time purchasing a refurbished laptop, but came recommended by an IT friend. In less than eight months it was sent in to this company twice. The second time a rep at the company claimed they did not receive it. The missing laptop situation has been an absolute nightmare. Whether they received it or not, what's supposed to be a good quality laptop should not be required major repairments within eight months! Do not buy from this company!

BEWARE that the refurbished laptops are OLD! I bought one for my mom and when she brought it to Best Buy to have them set it up, even THEY discouraged her from keeping it as it was 5 to 10 years old!!! They sold her a better one, for not much more...I now have to return this, at MY cost and I sure hope there is no problem getting my refund!!! - Update I did get my full refund.. so that's good....

One of the worst ever. I do not know how this company is still alive today. I recently tried buying a used alienware from them as I thought the price was quite competitive. I was wrong. The only reason why such a pricing could exist is because they strongly intend to scam right from the start. Basically they'l take your money, and disappear for a few days. AFter vigorous attempts to reach customer service, I finally got someone on the line. He was very rude and abrasive to me, and even told me to buy a new one if I was that unsatisfied. Like what? Who even trained this guys to talk like that. Now my shipment is still "on its way", and it has been more than 2 weeks. So there you go. Should've saved up a tad more and just buy a laptop from Bestbuy or any other significantly more reliable retailers. This business can be summed up in three words. Scam, Rude, Unprofessional. Beware potential customers.

Buyer beware! I bought a laptop 2/16/2016 hard drive crashed 4/19/2016. Contacted company on 4/20. I have a 2 yr warranty they are shipping me the hard drive, I'll have to pay to have it put in, then send the old one back. After numerous phone calls and emails I'm still waiting on the hard drive. I purchased two computer from AST through newegg, One computer had software issue and I contacted the customer service which is located at Markham ON, Canada. The computer is under one year warranty but the company does not honor the warranty. I have called their customer service dozen times and they keep saying we will send the RMA but no action has taken, If you purchase a computer from this company dont relay on warranty or customer service,, The best thing can happen is that Newegg stop hosting the AST computer product. So i received the laptop and it seems fine on the outside, but the wireless wont connect. Had a friend open it up for me to take a look after i tried to see if it was a software issue... There was No Wireless Card. So i called to send it back in for a replacement. 3 days of calls just to get through, 30m-1hour each day. First two people i spoke with had an attitude though i calmly and simply explained the situation. a month later here i am, they delivered the replacement to the wrong address and are fixing the issue. The third person i spoke with was kind, but by that time i really just wanted my laptop that this company 'advanced skyline technology' failed to provide as shown on the TIGER DIRECT. By the way, I tried to write this review on the Tiger Direct Website and it looks like they wont allow bad reviews to be posted about Advanced Skyline Technologies.

I've purchased 2 desktops and a laptop from this company. The desktops both had bad DVD drives - not a problem, it happens. Replacement drives were shipped quickly and I received them within a week. The laptop came in with a bad battery. Here's where the one start comes in - tried for a week to contact AST. Sent emails and received automated responses. Called and got a non-working voicemail. After exactly 9 days of this, I finally get through. I was helped by a gentleman who seemed truely disinterested in the issue. I was asked to send in pictures of the batteries, along with the purchase order. I am unable to take pictures of the battery without inconveniencing my own customer, so I request that the picture be waived. I am told I would need to send the battery in. Ok, cool, not your fault, supervisor please. Non-working voicemail. Call back, can't get through... never, ever again. This company is terrible with their customer service. Update: I saw someone else got Marty, too. He's a bit of an ass.

Purchased Lenovo ThinkPad X230 from this Microsoft Authorized Refurbisher from Canada Computers in Newmarket. The battery died in a short time, and a replacement battery doesn't seem to be available anywhere. AST did nothing, and offered no assistance to find a battery, and neither did Canada Computers. Would never again recommend purchasing a refurbished laptop. Very disappointed!

I purchased a refurbished computer through Best Buy Marketplace that came from Advanced Skyline Technology on April 7, 2020, right as COVID19 hit and my son needed a computer to attend his classes. The laptop was shipped on April 10, and arrived April 17. On using the laptop, my son found that it would randomly power itself off, even when plugged in and the battery showing 100% charge, but I was busy dealing with my own business and didn't have time to resolve this issue. I contacted AST on May 26 to be informed that the return period was 30 days and I had exceeded that time period. I was promised an email with directions on how I could send the laptop in for repair. No email arrived, so I contacted AST again and was told by a second person that a refund was impossible and that I would receive an email with repair return details. Again, no email arrived. I reached out a third time to AST and demanded a refund or details on how to get the machine repaired. Their response was that a refund was impossible and that I should send the unit in for repair - but no instructions on where to send the unit were provided. I am now on my eighth communication with AST, still trying to determine where to send their nonfunctioning computer. I have had to purchase a second laptop for my son, and the AST laptop sits uselessly on my desk. I will not deal with Advanced Skyline Technology again, and I would advise that you strongly consider before you do.
