Had an external hard drive for my windows die on me. 9 years of work on there, with only partial backups on other drives. I found these guys, and they did a diagnostic, and after a few days, they got back to me saying the drive is very dead, and they need to open it up. They called again after a few days, and said they COULD recover my data! They offered a reasonable new drive for the data to be copied to, and they said the charges could be anywhere from $600-$1200, depending on the trouble. I needed my files. So after a "go ahead", they got almost everything! There were only 6 trouble files that were half readable and they moved them in a labelled folder so I knew which ones. And end price was only $600!!! They could have totally pinched me, but didn't. These guys did what they could, didn't make any promises, and had integrity. The turn around wasn't too quick (about 10 days), but I'm very very happy I have my files good and safe.

I had some issues with my Macbook battery so I called the North Van Branch of Vancouver Laptop and they were able to help me right away. Not only that, but they quoted me the accurate price on the phone. No hidden fees and it was cheaper/faster than going to the Apple Store.

They did a good job fixing my Nexus 5's broken screen. There was a little delay and what was quoted as a 5 day job took nearly a month, due to the part being ordered and delivered, but other than that I'm happy with the results. The phone works and looks like new.

First, I want to express my utmost gratitude to Eugene for his patience and excellent customer service when I anxiously came into Vancouver Laptop on Broadway with my broken laptop. The diagnose and quote to fix my laptop issue was in 24hrs and Eugene clearly explained the issue with my laptop. As my laptop was an old Dell, I asked Eugene to review refurbished laptops available in their store.with me. Eugene took the time to clearly explain the various laptops on hand and the differences of between them in detail. I appreciated this so much as I am not that tech savvy. In the end, I chose a beautiful refurbished Toshiba laptop and purchased the 1yr warranty. I have been using the laptop for one month now, and am so happy with my decision to purchase a good brand name refurbished laptop! Most of all, in this review, I would like Kiril (owner) to know, that if it wasn't for Eugene's excellent front-line customer service, I would not have been able to make an informed final decision to purchase my refurbished Toshiba laptop. I sincerely recommend Broadway Vancouver Laptop!

I bought a refurbished laptop from them. When I took it home I discovered an unforeseen issue. I brought it back the next day and they took it back immediately, without any negative vibe, and worked hard to get it fixed and back to me very next day. This is for the North Vancouver location. I have always enjoyed working with this team and this time, especially, they really came through for me: I brought in a 2011 Sony VAIO machine with a damaged keyboard which I was unable to repair myself (and I'm pretty good at this stuff, normally). I did not have any real hope that the machine was salvageable at all but I picked it up today and I was really pleasantly surprised that they were able to figure it all out - even though Sony VAIO's ceased production years ago. They consistently have a great selection of reasonably priced refurbished machines on hand and it seems that no job is too big or too small for them. I appreciate that they are here on the North Shore and that they're always willing to provide product and advice when asked. If you're using a laptop it would be good to keep these folks in mind for the inevitable time that something is spilled on the laptop or it's dropped or you need a spare part or power supply. Highly recommended.

My wife and I were disappointed with the customer service at this location. The store opened late, there was a lineup of people waiting and there was no apology from the store employee that we all had to wait. Several people left and were quite upset. He was very unhelpful and looked miserable (the guy with the accent). This is not the first time we have experienced this. If Vancouver Laptop wants to get more business than they need to hire people that actually WANT to work there, not employees who scare people off. We will not be taking our computers to this store again.....ever.

Vancouver Laptop is THE BEST place to fix your computer!!! The experts are very polite and knowledgeable, super efficient and will get to the root of the problem without fixing "extra" things. I am not good at understanding the technicalities of computers and sometimes can be easily taken advantage of, but not here! I trust Vancouver Laptop expertise 100 percent. If you have any problem do not hesitate to bring your computer here for extremely fast and honest solution!!! (Seriously, i lost 2 of the same Macs to these issues, and Mac store was gna charge me an arm and a leg for this). I do believe you can also get a good deal on a new purchase here as well!! There is no way these reviews are real. I dropped my laptop off based on their website's claim of DC power jack repair around 39.00. I got a quote back of 228.00. I asked for a breakdown of the quote and was told parts were 57. What parts since the power jack is 11.00 at the consumer retail point? They couldn't tell me. I asked them if they had opened the computer and they said they had and that the motherboard was damaged. When I got home I opened it myself and parts of the broken jack were sitting inside the computer meaning it was never opened. There was also no damage to the board whatsoever. Anyway... be aware if you drop your computer here you are really taking a chance you are going to have more problems than you started with not to mention you paid an exorbitant price for an extremely minor fix. Whats really funny is I asked why the website makes claims of around 39.00 for these types of repair and how it could possibly be so high. The answer was "I have no idea what the website says."

This laptop repair shop saved my life! My computer crashed unexpectedly last week and I had no idea what was wrong with it. I am a full time grad student so I rely on my computer for everything... I thought I had lost all of my data. Vastlov and Taylor were so helpful. They didn't waste any time, recovered all of my data and were very professional. I was so nervous about cost because I heard that data recovery can be very expensive. I received a very reasonable price and was able to take care of the entire process in one day- no hassle. They unequivocally erased all my programs including microsoft office and simply accounting...I have no idea where the program keys are or how to reload them without buying them again...what a racket... Had I known I would have to reload every program at the onset I would never have left it with them...a bunch of hacks. Stay away !

Took my IPad mini in to have the broken glass screen fixed. They quoted me a price which I agreed to and told me they would let me know when it was ready. A couple days later it was fixed and ready for pickup. They charged me the price I was quoted and the iPad looks and works like new. I will use this business again.

Unfortunately i and a friend having bad experience with this location. I dropped my son's laptop to have partition C recovered. We received a call from this guy saying the hard is dead and has to be changed. It cost $100. We agreed. After picking up and receiving the old crashed hard, we saw that every single software including accounts required login information are there pus a partition C. Couple days later realized the hard hasn't been changed. Out of curiosity and to make sure, i handed the old hard drive over to my co-worker in IT department. A week later he recovered some info in the hard drive and nothing was belong to my son's but a water damaged with some unrelated Korean information in there. After discussing this with other co-workers, one more person had the same experience from this location. Exactly the same issue. What a shame.

How NorthVancouverLaptops backed me to live. I had a problem with wi-fy adapter on my laptop. All my work was paralyzed without the Internet asses! Fortunately for me I found NorthVancouverLaptops near to my home! I brought my laptop to them and my problem was fixed in an hour! I was extremely happy to be so instantly backed to my normal work routine. The guys in store are amazing - very friendly, attentive, knowledgeable, and he genuinely cares about delivering good customer service. Had my laptop infected with a virus. Was leaving the town and really needed to take my computer with me but it would not start because of the virus. Came to Vancouver Laptop and explained them that i need it to be fixed ASAP. Obviously they already have other computers to work on and it would take at least a day to fix it. It was not working for me, but they come up with a great solution - transferred all my data to an external hard drive so i can use it on any other computer, while they are fixing my laptop. Great and efficient service. And prices are really good to. Cheaper than in Future Shop or any other big stores. Will definitely come back.

Good collection of laptops. Bit pricey but if you are looking for a solid laptop with great specs, and willing to settle for something thats 2-3 years old, this is the best place to go. Parking can be a bit tricky. Their service was excellent, also comes with warranty. Highly recommended.

System crashed, Blue Screen, Yikes! I had to have my O/S reinstalled. I dropped it off in the morning and the tech called at lunch time. He quoted me $85.00 + tax if all went well. It did, and it was ready as promised the next morning -- at the quoted price. So far it's running great, and I'm very happy. Speaking of happy: Staff were professional, but don't expect sweetness and light. A few smiles would be nice. ( :

They returned my tablet to me not fixed. It worked in the store but was completely useless within half an hour of leaving . I asked for a refund they took it back to presumably take out the part they put in or at least that is what I was told. Literally weeks went by and I had to start hassling them and asking what the hell was going on. They said they were waiting for a battery to try and fix it but did not notify or even proprovide an eta on the battery. I had to literally go in weekly to demand my money back, the guy working their kept saying a he would call me in a couple days or next week and never did. Which is why I literally was taking a 30 min trip to this location on east Broadway to get my $190 back. I am just disgusted with my experience, the only reason they got one star is because I eventually got my money and tablet back after hassling them weekly fro about 2 months !!

I bought a refurbished laptop here, a Lenovo T410 core i5. The staff was not helpful at all, my questions were replied with: I am not familiar with that, I do not know and in a very unfriendly way. Eventually I bought it because I tried it in the shop and seemed to work properly. After a week had to come back because I had fan problems. They fixed it but I had to come back again in some weeks for the some problem. Now after a couple of months the laptop turns off itself after an hour or so of using. I cannot be more disappointed with this purchase and by the way, all the members of the staff I dealt with were rude and cold. Very disappointed after reading the other reviews.....

If I could give 0 stars I would! They took my money to fix my sons iPhone screen and after I gave it back to my son we realized that it was worse than the broken screen! I took it back for them to fix it and the Eastern European guy behind the counter was rude and refused to help and didn't fix the problem he caused. I don't think I've ever been that mad, I told him I would never come back and he said please don't. Do yourself a favor and stay clear of Vancouver Laptop. Also, if you happen to work for the CBSA, check to see if that guy has a working visa in Canada and if not have him deported as he is giving immigrants a bad name!

I send it to replace the keyboard on my ThinkPad and ended up completely botching it. In my shame I took it down to the North Vancouver location and it was fixed by that afternoon. I picked it up the next morning and wasn't even charged. Fantastic service!

I would give these guys full marks for doing what they said they would do in a timely manner. They were very good at following up when my laptop was ready both with electronic and personal communication. Shortly after the repair I went back needing some help with the wireless. They helped by checking the internet for the required drivers, downloaded and installed them for me while I waited and with no charge. I will definitely use them again.

I have been dealing with them over the last several years for various computer issues and they have always been great. I did like this store had been a costomer for a long time till i took in my laptop for repairs after getting it home it still didn't work went back and figured they would live up to there no fix no fee as posted on their web site and right on sign outside the store so asked for refund or at least credit towards buying a new laptop and was told no they said to email there head location about it and they didn't even reply to my email so they lost me as a costomer i don't recommend these con artists at all stay away from Vancouver laptop

I have broken my laptop around 5 times and every time I go straight to them and they get it fixed right away. I really should keep liquids away from the computer, but that’s besides the point. They even gave me a HUGE discount this previous time because Im always bringing it in ????????. I’ve gotten my phone fixed there too, and again, good as new. Within a week of having my laptop fixed, run into the same issue. Brought it in to be looked at and got an email within 2 hours that it was fixed. Picked it up, once home, wouldn't even turn on. Brought it in a 2nd time and the guy try to make me believe that it was another issue, a new one. I laid my foot down. After 2 days got an email it was fixed. So far it works. I would not recommend this place.

Purchased an HP laptop several years ago from this particular company. Rude staff. Laptop was not cheap (1200$ + model) that was KNOWN TO HAVE A BAD VIDEO CARD ON BOARD. Contacted Vancouver Laptop and had them look at it. They basically said there was nothing wrong with it. Contacted HP, they told me that it was a bad video card and that they would replace the laptop (big lawsuit in the USA about HP knowingly sending out these with bad vid cards). When HP asked for the serial number they told me it was a custom to order notebook out of the USA. Basically, someone ordered this custom notebook within the USA. HP told me there was no warranty available as their warranties on US models do not work in Canada. Was extremely unhappy as it was rather expensive (top model Vancouver Laptop had in the showroom). Laptop reset itself, screen went black and much more due to faulty video card part. Was unusable and ended up selling for parts. In a span of 2 months I lost $1250 plus tax to this company. Laptop was completely unusable within 60ish days.

PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR COMPUTER HERE!! This place is a scam!! I brought my computer in for a battery replacement 5 months ago. Since then I have had to go back 7 times for faulty batteries that they have continued to sell me! I wish i could give less than 1 star this is absolutely the worst possible business i have ever dealt with. After the 6th time of taking my laptop in for another battery under their "warranty" they somehow destroyed my computer completely and will not do anything about it! I have lost so much money over this and as a student I find this unacceptable. I now Need a loan to buy a new computer to pass my classes! My $2000 macbook was ruined by these scammers I hope they get what is coming to them for taking advantage of the lower and middle class with their "cheap" prices! GO ELSEWHERE

Very poor. Quoted one price , was charged more at pick up. Took over one month for repair. And told it should only take 5 days. One month later it stopped working again , when i took it back, i was to have an answer within one day ..... a week later i had to call them to find out if they had a solution. I was told it had has nothing to do with the repair they did. I will never use them again. Very poor, with practically no communication.

I wouldn't buy a mouse pad from this store....I feel they sell second rate products.... power adapters anyways and I'm not sure about their scruples either. I've purchased three power adapters from them in two years because they keep failing. Last year he charged me $26.79, this year he charged me $44.00 for the exact same unit.

COMPLETE SCAM. These guys have no idea what they are doing. I brought in my laptop to have my photos recovered. I specifically told them that if there was trouble recovery the photos then to stop what they were doing as I did not want to risk losing them. They continued regardless, reinstalled and wiped everything and told me it was all good. After i paid them $200 I got home to find they had recovered one file of maybe 15-20 photos. I lost thousands of family and baby photos because of these incompetent degenerates. STEER CLEAR OF THIS SCAM.

just picked up my 8yo mac book from van laptop it only had 2gGB RAM and Van Laptop put another 1GB on to max poss They even stayed late so I could pick it up same day :-) so far seems much faster and worth the reasonable $40 thanks

Customer Service seriously lacks! I emailed them from the link on the website. No reply. I phoned multiple times. No answer. I showed up to get the glass fixed on my phone and they got it done in 1.5 hrs. When I told them I was 10 minutes away depending on traffic and the store closed in 20 minutes, I them asked if he could wait a couple minutes if I wasn't there right at 6:00. The employee promptly answered no.

The person helping me in picking out a laptop was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. She helped narrow down the laptop options in the store for me down to two laptops and was very polite and gave me time to consider what I preferred (without pushing me at all). She answered all my questions regarding battery life, the difference between the models and their warranty. In the end, I returned the laptop the day of because although the pricing was very reasonable and the laptop was good and durable, the battery life wasn't quite what I needed. She was very understanding and refunded the full amount which was very kind of her (the warranty required us to pay a 20% handling fee for refunds). All in all, the place is worth checking out :)
