I called this repair store to ask for a quote on a battery swap for an iphone. They said it will cost around $50 with tax and take around 1 hour to do the swap. 1 hour meaning they will spend that much time to do the repair as "it takes a long time". I did a quick search and you can buy all the tools AND battery for around $30 and the youtube video of the repair time is around 5-10 mins max even with no experience. Quite disappointed in their honesty, I actually am familiar with electronics but due a sudden battery problem i wanted to swap a new one the same afternoon. Would have appreciated more transparency.

I replaced my iPhone 8 screen there few months ago. I thought it was a good quality and cheap price but I figured out I was wrong. It’s broken too easily and I replaced again with my friend. When I actually open my iPhone screen and saw all screws weren’t changed new at that time. And the waterproof seal wasn’t there either. I don’t think they used a brand new screen. He asked me give them a good comment on Google and I did. I’ve been changed a couple cellphone screens at some repair shop and I really glad found the place close to me. But I totally disappointed and edit my review.

He fixed my charging port and then when he found another issue when the phone was opened up he fixed it free of charge and stayed an hour after the store closed and finished fixing it on his own time so I could get my phone back that day. Amazing service and really quality people.

I had a battery replaced at this shop and it did absolutely nothing! They charged over 100 bucks and I don't think the staff have a clue what they are doing. At the same time my daughter had her screen replaced and it still is slight popped out. She went back as their is a warranty and they claim it cannot be fixed. Don't bother with this shop unless you are just looking to donate some cash.

This place is outstanding. Go out of your way, if you have to, to get your phone fixed here. You'll be glad you did. Most phone repair services are cheap, with poor customer service and rigid, inflexible, often ineffective ways of providing service. Discount phone repair in New West, on the other hand, is responsive, creative, their staff listen and they're willing to work outside the box to help give the client what they want. Prices are reasonable and staff are honourable and honest. As a trans woman, I also found that the place was a safe and welcoming space, and sadly, that's the first phone repair service that I've been to where this is the case. I liked it so much I wanted to tip but they wouldn't accept it. Truly legendary. THANKS GUYS!!

Just getting back from here.Friendly staff and excellent service. Recently took my daughter's phone in to have the screen replaced. Unfortunately, the screen replacement still didn't fix the issue. Something else, is also not working The technician Jay was willing to take another look. He suggested I get back to him in a week to see if he can get it up and running. He didn't charge me for the screen. He told me he would stick to their quote if he got it working again too. I had called around before checking out Discount Phone Repair, and they had the best price. I'm impressed, and recommend them to anyone looking into getting their phone fixed.:thumbs up:

After paying $85 for a better quality i Phone screen the screen cracks and chips from everyday usage as soon within a month. I walked in for a repair and They offered the same screen minus labour which I didn’t agree with since the quality is poor and I don’t want to be back in another couple of weeks. They then offer the original screen for $125 which was not previously even an option. Overall poor quality, poor customer service.

New Westminster location buys 5 star reviews. Got my iPhone cracked screen replaced 6months ago and during pickup/pay they offered a 20% discount if I gave a 5 star google review then and there and showed them as proof. I agreed since they were quick, seemly quality, and the customer service was fine. Since the touch screen calibration was off an sometimes not responsive. I dropped and cracked my screen again and went to apple certified to get it replaced since I had the money. They had trouble because DPR used the wrong screws and f***ed it up. Worth paying more at a More reputable company. DPR Location and price is great if your low on $$ and in a pinch.

Got a new screen and the touch functionality was off so I had to get them to replace it again. During the second repair, I got a "new" battery but it doesn't hold a charge nearly as long as an actual new apple factory battery. Disappointing work and product. It's a convenient location in a pinch but I will go elsewhere if I have the time.

Avoid this place. I payed $220 for iPhone X screen replacement which stopped working after 5 months. When asked for warranty on screen they said they could do nothing about it. The screen they replace is cheap one. Go shop somewhere else
