Recently there was an internet/Wifi outage in our area. It was effecting everyone and it was very unsettling... until I learned that it was with Columbia Wireless too. INSTANTLY I was calm and 500% confident that they were not only aware but on top of the issue, and that they would update me with the situation when they could. This is such a beautifully reassuring feeling to have... especially when everyone else in the area was in a panic, worried and feeling lost. When I was with Telus, Shaw or Bell and they had issues, I NEVER, felt confident in their efforts, work ethic, quality, communication, honesty or intentions, not like I do with Columbia Wireless. I am so very grateful to have found this company, and highly recommend their incredible team and their fabulous service and product!... if I could, they would get a 12☆ out of 5 because they are THAT good!

I’ve been very happy with the service I’ve received from Columbia Wireless. During the recent cold weather when the tower was iced up and looked like a Popsicle, the daily updates were appreciated. Thanks to Matt for the time he took to get me set up in short amount of time so I could work from home.

We have been a Columbia Wireless customer since 2007, over the years we have seen firsthand the company grow and expand their services and connections...I believe the first tower/dish to serve us was attached to a tree. They are a local West Kootenay company, and they are a resource to be trusted...despite severe weather and technical challenges - they have maintained a high level of internet dependability. We can heartily recommend them as an internet provider!

awful customer service. go with another company if you can.... took over a week to get back to us then finally booked an appointment. The appointment day came and went and didn't hear a peep from the technician. So I had to call and got the run-around. Didn't have any of my information in their data bank and customer service is slow and seemingly very low quality. If you can go to a different company.

We stumbled upon Columbia Wireless by fluke. I am a long time Telus loyal customer for my phone service and automatically use the rest of their services. When we could not get our wifi through them I was skeptical of going with a smaller local company. Columbia Wireless has been exceptional to deal with in every way. From the very first contact, they have been easy to deal with, offer supreme quality service and are always supportive, informative and helpful. I give them a 5 out of 5 start rating for all categories, including business morals, quality, and customer relations.

oh, Columbia Wireless....Possibly the worst internet in the world. Their services are so expensive that you will have to sell off half your organs to the black market to get a decent speed. But don't worry, you'll be able to watch netflix! well only 30 seconds at a time before buffering for another full minute. OVERALL COLUMBIA WIRELESS IS SLOWER THAN A SNAIL AND COST A ARM AND A LEG. ps. customer service licks nuts too. really no benefit to theses guys at all.

Early 2019 I have not had bad customer service experiences as others have described but the service is so spotty it is not even possible to use the GB allowance paid for or really even stream content reliably. Wireless Internet plans should be half what they are currently priced at until the service is improved. Hopefully grants for new towers will be approved for reasonable future service. 24th nov. 2020 Updated to 4 stars as new hardware has been installed and the price came down a little. Service has been much better overall following the install but still spotty at times. We have not needed to contact them since the work was completed.

If you are a professional working from home then this internet provider is not for you! Extremely unreliable. Also they do not notify there customers when there is an issue, or when it is resolved. The price is extremely high at $145.00 per month for advertised 30Mbs when we are regularly only receiving between 8-15 consistently. Customer service is poor as well. They will become annoyed with your requests if you keep asking. But here’s the thing, some of us depend on the service to support ourselves and we need to know what’s going on with repairs and timelines. We will be switching to KIN in our area as soon as the line can be dug to our house. Again NOT recommended for user who require reliable service for day to day business use.

I was a custom with columbia wireless on a snow bird package and was told during the off season i would only be charged a $5.00 a month fee. I called in to let them know I was leaving the area and to put me on the $5.00 plan. The person on the other end said they would take care of it and clearly did not, as I was charged $72.00 a month for 5 months with absolutely no useage which they can clearly see in the history. When I called to sort this out I was told. " Oh sorry about that, but there is nothing we can do about it". I then asked to talk to a manager who was not available I was told I would get a call to discuss it further. One week later no one has called to rectify the situation. Customer service is clearly not a concern to Columbia Wireless

Customer service used to be good, but my last interaction consisted of being told that my emailed bill was not accurate, despite being generated on the 1st of the month, and that I need to check the portal to find accurate info about my account. My e-bill showed a payment hadn't gone through, with a high balance. The phone rep told me it HAD gone through, but he couldn't explain why my statement was wrong. Then I got an explanation of how online banking works and that payment might not reach them for 2 weeks. But...the payment HAD reached them, as he clearly told me. Then I was told the classic response to my complaint about the inaccurate billing statement, and the cumbersome phone system that got me to him: "it's worked fine for years, so I can't respond to your complaint". I generally don't phone a number called "support" to be argued with, told my complaint is invalid because others haven't made it, and have the nature of online commerce laid out for me. Everything I said to the "support" rep was rebutted and marginalized, defended and deflected. Is that how you want your customer feedback to sound, Columbia?

I can't recommend Columbia Wireless Enough! We relocated here from the Okanagan as I can work from home. Tom and the team went out of their way to set us up quickly despite not having cell service. Did the entire thing through emails. Quick, friendly, efficient and professional! Highly RECOMMEND

I agree that customer service is not good with them. Watch out for very high overage charges. I have been waiting to speak to a manager for over 2 weeks now. Too bad since I would love to support local.

As i had to choose a star i chose 1 but its more like -5 stars.. Have been with Columbia since may 2017 since then have had less than adequate service ... was told to upgrade to improve my wireless service after upgrading 3 times to the highest most expensive service nothing got any better... I cannot watch hockey that I pay for I cannot watch Netflix that I pay for and barely get enough service to use messenger.... they have now cut off my internet due to non payment for the last 2 months ...i refuse to give anymore money to a service that is not working....i had 2 separate people tell me they would reconnect until the problem is fixed but they were only telling me what I wanted to hear knowing when I got home where I don't have cell service i wouldn't be able to call back ..... now they are telling me I will get a call back asap I'm assuming this is again what they think I wanted to hear .... as I haven't received that call... in conclusion Columbia wireless is going to go out of business due to there services and customer services being as sub par as they are... as soon as the competition moves in I believe they will be out

We are a campground on summit lake Three islands resort near Nakusp B C and wanted to give Columbia Wireless 5 out of 5 for their excellent service we waited 36 years for service and Columbia Wireless came through and put up a big tower and with high speed internet i can not say enough how happy and pleased we are with the fast internet !!! Very disappointed with customer service, it's lousy!! Cannot talk to a local individual and always seem to be talking with an American instead of a Canadian, which cannot help with my local issue. I thought I was helping a local company sure doesn't seem like it. Again very disappointed.

I am new to Columbia wireless -It is very slow - I can not watch CBC news - the program is interrupted every few seconds ... is this normal? - we upgraded our band width - I do not think it was worth it. I think I need to down grade again as this is not giving me the service I need ... Am I doing something wrong? Suzanne
