reasonably priced items with a decent stock for a medium-sized computer and electronics store. I always check the price, the stock levels and promotions online before going there. surprisingly, they also endorse the warranty on some items, so you don't have to deal with the manufacturer.

I was told I would be able to go in-store to order something, as they don't take any payments by phone. Once I got there, the supervisor himself told me that they are no longer taking orders and proceeded to say, the best he could do for me would be to better inform his employees that orders were not being taken temporarily. How helpful... -_- So, an hour drive later, and all I'm left with is my wasted time and garbage service. The supervisor was not helpful at all and was not even willing to touch his computer to verify the information I was given on the phone. Rude and unprofessional. Don't waste your time.

I've been here a few times now and the staff cannot decide if they have just opened or been here for more than a year. It's the later fyi. They don't like to price match, as in they are reluctant, even though it clearly states on their website they price match. They do have knowledgeable staff though, so that is helpful. But I don't think you can't find anything in a brick and mortar shop you can't online, unless you need it ASAP.

Got laughed at when asking for a fan splitter. They had a sound bar mislabeled at $50, I picked it up went to the cash and got told it's $350. I Showed them and got told thank you it was mislabeled, and then told me it's still $350. Absolute disgrace of a company, although not entirely this specific store's fault. The way they handled the gpu backorders literally could not be worse. They have essentially been holding on to my interest free loan for several months seeing as I backordered an rtx 3080 in early January, while their head office decides to hoard cards for their in house system building program instead of fulfilling backorders. As if it couldn't get any worse, several cards of the exact same model as the one I backordered were released in Brossard for bots and scalpers to buy a few days ago!! Honestly just get your pc components from literally any other store because these guys do not care about customers whatsoever. Borderline illegal practices.

Horrendous company, service, system & staff. Ordered a laptop which was in stock at a different location (Kingston). I was told it would take 1 week to receive it in the MTL location and that no payment was needed to reserve it (despite me offering to pay the full amount right away). No signs of life after 2 weeks, no updates (despite the manager telling me himself he would update me). Turns out the order was never placed to bring the computer to MTL and that the remaining stock got sold in the meantime. 2 weeks later, the laptop restocks in Brossard. (no one warned me as they said they would, I had to scout the website daily until it restocked somewhere). When I saw it was available, I called the manager, who sent me to the Brossard location (35min drive from where I live), guaranteeing me that they will be able to sell it to me and to honour the pricing. After 1 month, more than 5 visits to the stores, well over 10 calls with customer support/managers/employees from both stores, it turns out that neither Downtown or Brossard will honour their deal, and neither provide any support or solution to the issue, essentially forcing me to pay a 300+tx over the price it was at when I tried purchasing it initially. Their only solution is to 'email the mother store and see if they can do anything, but probably not'. Employees kept getting distracted and leaving me hanging for 5-15mins in store while they did other random things or to chat with other employees (all while 7-10 employees were simply roaming around the store or hanging on their phones...). Sh*t store, Sh*t service, Sh*t system. Head to Newegg or literally anywhere else instead.

Edit* Big shout out to Mehdi (technician) who helped in optimizing the setup. Great service from Sam , Lucas and a few others that helped put together a great pc build. Management was super friendly and the tech guys were on point in making sure all the proper firmware and software was installed. Daniela was warm and friendly upon first contact on the phone as well. She went the extra mile to ask some questions on my behalf regarding some very in demand products. Overall its the most chillest and stress free computer store in the montreal area.

I have never had such a hard time purchasing a product in my life. They won't ship the laptop to a store in my area without it taking 3 weeks even though the store is only 2 hours away. Fortunately we had a team member in the area but then they told me they wouldn't accept my payment either so that the team member could pick it up. I have been trying to support them since 2014 buying parts from them. Now their prices are higher then other companies offer. Last time I was trying to price match and even talked to their manager who refused to do so. He added the shipping cost while I'm driving myself to the store. When you go to the competitors store they won't add the shipping cost and sell it as it mentioned on their website. Now I'm building a new pc and will buy parts from Mike's computers or Newegg.

Great computer store where you can find almost any consumer IT equipment you can imagine and evaluate them physically before buying, a kind of experience that is refreshing. I wanted to encourage a local shop so I bought an external drive here. Later, I found out that I need more storage then expected. Because I opened the box, they won't accept return or exchange. This is a place you should avoid. The return policies are pretty bad. Even when you've bought the 1 year warranty. Don't expect a return. Garbage company, I went to get my pc fixed, they ended up telling me they can't do any tests because they don't want to order x99 motherboards to run the tests and they claimed they don't have the tools. My motherboard was running fine. However, after I went back to grab my computer, the motherboard stopped running, they claimed "it was probably in it's last breath and gave up" I knew it was bs, so I got my refund and took it somewhere else and the repairman figured out why it stopped starting, they plugged something in the wrong place, I don't remember the exact words but regardless they left my pc worse than it was ???? I went to ask a series of technical questions about my malfunctioning PC to the repair department. As I entered, there were only 3 young employees (18-20 years old) present, 2 of which were idle but cornered behind the counters without any enthusiasm to approach clients. Once one of them left the counters and came to the floor area, I signalled him from far by raising my hand to attract his attention, as he was going a different way. I asked him "where can I find the repair department" and as he answered my question and I thanked him, he quietly told me in french "please do not call me by waiving your hand in a rude manner, I'm not the 'chef' around here". Unfortunately, I was incredibly rushed to stop and tell him everything that was wrong with what he told me and to report him to his manager for talking back to a customer, as it is obviously and painfully clear that you DO NOT talk back to customers, even when they are as rude as they can be. However, be that as it may, the repair department's crew responded to my questions with straight answers, which was great, but the initial encounter just ruined my will to shop here, as I was ready to spend 600-700$ for parts... Not to mention the competition from other nearby stores... This is not the first review where a customer was insulted by an employee's method of approach and communication. Please rectify this situation in the future, so that the next customers won't have to go through this awful situation all over again. (For informational purposes, the altercation occurred at ~13:15 on May 2nd)

Mixed emotions about this place, bought multiple parts with help from people working there and they gave excellent customer service that would deserve 4-5 stars, but recently i had issues with my computer and brought it there to fix and after paying 80$ i was told "things weren't plugged in right, all your hardware is fine." I got home and pc still crashed when played games (which is something i mentioned and they never looked into it), ran a memory test and turns out the ram was faulty, so in the end they never found my issue and im not sure they use the greatest tools to test if your parts work or not.

I bought a GPU that was a open box I asked for a sealed box and the employee ensured it was sealed. After getting home I noticed the EVGA tamper prof seal was indeed opened before. I had the card for 10 days and they start sniffing the card like drug dogs lmao. The kind of store that makes you not buy online. This store is a really good place to check for electronics, computer parts, accessories, peripherals, urgency items (like cables and adapters). Their price is pretty good, and even though they can't always beat the internet prices, it is usually worthy to check the store as their variety usually compensate by allowing to make a better choice. Also, the return policy is comprehensive for an electronics store, again making it a good choice. I've already bought keyboards, mouse, cables, video adapters, car gps holder, network card and usb hub in there. They also have a variety of tvs, monitors, notebooks, tablets, phones, all pc parts. Went online to see if they had a hardware in stock - they did. So called to make sure the information was right, the guy said no.. hut then looked up his computer, saw 1 in stock. We looked surprised and was whispering to his colleague that " it was still stock". I asked him if he could put it aside, that I was coming to get it now. I bought a mid range gaming PC on a Friday afternoon around 2:30, the guy (ricky) promised that it would be ready before 7pm as the technician is not busy, otherwise he's gonna build it himself. I called and some guy told me it should be ready by the next morning. I came back the next day 10:20am and saw that the technician is just starting to build it. He again promised me that it should be ready in few hours and I can certainly get it before 5pm. I called again around 4:25pm to check and some guy told me to go back again Sunday morning. I mean seriously? 2 days to build one damn PC? The service level here is so appalling.... My advice is to go somewhere else like microbytes etc.

Lots of product demos so it's nice to shop monitors, mice, keyboards, etc. I did not order in store but the staff was nice. Unfortunately the online experience was disappointing. First, there is no order status on the website. Second, trying to have more information by contacting them online email/form was useless. That Saturday we came across a wonderful service lady who took the time to explain the issues with us. she checked and rechecked the computer and helped us save the hard drive . Walked in to return an item as I was not sure of the direction I was going to build my PC not knowing very much, and was quickly greeted by the wonderful staff and the manager, Mitesh. Him and the staff were instrumental in helping me build my PC, giving me the best PC possible and suggesting the best parts, while respecting my budget. Thumbs up for the honesty of this staff who strived to get me the best my money could buy and truly went above and beyond. I don't usually post reviews of places but felt the need to do so here. I bough a motherboard and the tech told me socket 1150 and 1151 were compatible but it's not the case. When I went to return the product, they took my motherboard somewhere in the backstore and when they went back, they told me pins were crushed. It's impossible because I never even opened the product but since they opened it themselves (without my approval) before finalizing the sell, I didn't have any proof of my claims. They are a shady business that will try to screw you whenever there is something wrong with your product. DON'T GO THERE!!!

I must mention first that I've never heard of Canada Computers until recently from a friend and that I always thought Best Buy was the only easily accessible spot for getting tech stuff in person in MTL. Bought a monitor for almost $900, asked if I could get an exchange for an other monitor since it didn't have what I needed, (which was more than only one HDMI port). The staff is cool, but the manager refused to exchange the monitor 'because I kept it for more than a day', (it has been around 5 days at most). After buying the monitor, I bought for $400 of multiple accessories and planned of getting everything tech related from then on there for the rest of my life, (was planning of getting a $4K gaming rig there. I understand that business is business, therefore, next time I need something in tech, I'll get my business again at Best Buy if I need to buy something in person, they won't bat an eye about getting an exchange or return. To each there own policies and I do have mines.
