Like many other reviews have stated, this business offers great service. Their unusual way of operations might seem strange at first, but trust me, they are the real deal. You must hand $120 cash for first diagnostics when they pick up your computer. No receipt offered, no email, no proof of nothing, NADA. 4 hours later you get the diagnostics and a quote by text message. Their costumer service is handled via text message and phone. Very unusual way of running a business, at least in North America. You can tell this is an independent business operated by immigrants with a clear of goal to thrive in the market and to offer the best customer service possible. They are not cheap but they are good. My mac laptop got fixed within a day and the owner was 100% responsive to my inquiries over text messages. I truly recommend KSK computers for mac repairs. Forget about mac boutique in St. Laurent (they are the WORST). KSK is the real deal.

I dread computer problems, given that I virtually live in cyberspace. Most people are forced to drop off their computers for a week or more at some store while they 'get around' to fixing it. Having someone who will come pick up your computer, more often then not fix it then deliver it working back to you the same day, is HUGELY valuable. More though, in my case the BIOS chip on my motherboard fried. There were no replacement motherboards easily available that would work with the processor and RAM I had in my system. A regular repair service would have had me down for two weeks while some obscure source on Ebay, maybe, sent me what I needed, or it would have been vastly more expensive essentially replacing the entire guts of my machine. Mr. Koneswaran however is no ordinary computer service technician... He was able to procure a BIOS chip, and replace the defective chip on the motherboard! This is an extremely rare talent these days. The end result was it saved me what could have been a lot more money and a lot more downtime. And he did it the same day! I do not care that he does not have a store front. Running a store is a whole different world than being the superb electronics engineer he is, and if he were stuck in a store he very likely would not be able to do his pick up and deliver, often same day service.

This guy is as good as everyone says. I mistakenly installed a new CPU on my gaming desktop and my computer would not turn on. I called him at 630pm, he came and picked up my computer an hour later, by 930 he had already diagnosed the problem (wrong CPU for my motherboard). He was very upfront and honest about my options/prices for everything. He returned my computer the next day by 10am. One of the best customer/company experiences I have ever had. 10/10. My ThinkPad was fried and needed a fix. KSK responded very quickly to my inquiry. They came to pick up the laptop at my place, and two days later they knew what the problem was. We negotiated by text, they ordered the necessary parts, and delivered the computer in full working state two weeks later, due to shipping delays on the parts. Note that everything is paid in cash. He does fast and amazing work! He can even come and pick up and return your computer! I have an old late 2013, iMac 21.5 computer that has slowed down almost to a halt. It was impossible to do anything without seeing the spinning wheel. At first, I thought I needed more RAM but thankfully he was honest. He recommended that I immediately perform a back up since my drive was dying. All I needed was to replace my old disk drive with an SSD. He then returned my Mac the very next day and now it works just like new! I highly recommend his services.

There is nothing scarier (tech-wise) than waking up on a Saturday morning to find your high-end gaming/work PC won't even turn on. I called around and "big name" companies were quoting outrageous diagnosis fees, and even then would only look at it on Monday at the earliest. I then called KSK Computers. At first, I was hesitant because I admittedly hadn't heard of them before. The gentleman there was very helpful on the phone, with the utmost professionalism, which put me at ease. It was also snowing outside, so delivery of the PC to him was going to be an issue for me. That's when he informed me that he can pick up and deliver my PC for me! Not only that, but he was at my door within an hour! He also seems to be a very fast and efficient worker, keeping in touch with me on every step along the way. Turns out I needed a new power supply. He contacted me to tell me as soon as he found out. Then we talked again to confirm which new PSU I wanted. I felt far more updated than I would've with GeekSquad or MicroBytes. He then delivered my fixed PC in just 24 hours! For anyone reading this, that heavily depends on what needs fixing and the availability for replacement parts, but I have never had that much attention and fast service on any level of service work ever before! I highly recommend KSK Computers. I will be referring my own peers to him, as well as go to him in the future if needed.

I signed up for a Gmail account just so I could write this review. After 8 years of faithful service, my 2011 Macbook Pro finally bit the dust. I took it to Apple who basically said "sucks to be you" due to the age of my machine and the fact that they no longer service relics like mine. As I am a photographer in the middle of editing hundreds of photos for a wedding I shot, needless to say I was FREAKING OUT! The guy at the Genius Bar recommended KSK Computers as someone who may be able to help. I called Konesh from the mall at 8pm and he told me to bring the computer to him right away. Impressed! The very next morning, he text me with the good, bad, ugly and uglier news. GOOD: my computer could be repaired. BAD: my graphics card was shot. UGLY: it would take 2-3 weeks to get the part in because I'd have to replace the whole motherboard. UGLIER: It would cost about 1,100$. He advised me that he could also reball it for a couple hundred bucks to get me through my project and have it ready in 24 hours. But this came with a warning: both fixes were temporary and could last 30 days or two years depending on how degraded my chip was and how I maintained my machine afterward. Like it or not, I'd have to consider getting a new computer eventually. I went with the reball option. True to his word, Konesh had my computer fixed within a day. He kept me constantly updated via text and gave me all the info and disclaimers. And the price was great! I am actually writing this review from my "relic" that is working better now than it did before Konesh met it. I was a little wary of dropping off my computer to a stranger I called out of the blue from the Pointe Claire mall but Konesh was great! I'd highly recommend him to anyone and I'll definitely be calling him for my next computer problem! :)

I recently had my Huawei Matebook X Pro motherboard go dead and was unable to find support from Huawei. Luckily KSK computers was able to find a supplier and fix my laptop within less than a week and a half. Communication was clear and straightforward and he was able to pick up and deliver my laptop to me directly to my place, even during this current pandemic. Would recommend KSK computers to anybody looking for a quick and efficient way of getting their computers fixed. Only disclaimer is KSK computers only take cash and no debit or credit card but they offer a 30 day warranty for the fix from the time you receive your computer back.

The best part is that you do not have to go drop off or pick up your computer, they do it for you, if you want. To make it short, it was an amazing experience.

I was so happy to find a place/someone to do repair on my 2011 MacBook Pro. During this global confinement with all non-essential services closed I was completely up the creek. However, I by chance happened upon KSK Computers web listing and I could not have been happier. He fixed my problem (dead videocard) and most of all...picked it up and delivered it back to me within two days. Amazing! I highly recommend him not only because of his availability but also because he will take the time to explain what is going on and the best solutions. Pricing was also very fair and honest. Just amazing. i made the mistake of buying a pre-built gaming PC from a US company that i will not name. it stopped working after 3 weeks. it was still under warranty but the company informed me i had to pay all the return and shipping fees. it was an obscene amount of money only for shipping, so i decided to have it checked / repaired locally. i found this fine gentleman on google and he more than delivered. He picked up the tower at my home and in less than 24h he had done his complete diagnosis, repaired the corrupted files and replaced the faulty component. and all of this for the same amount that i would have had to pay on shipping fees only, with no guarantee the pricey tower was gonna arrive intact and with the possibility of more import fees once the item was processed at customs. With this gentleman i had my computer back in less than 24 hours, and he informed me of all the cheap components that the company uses on pre-built gaming PC's to cut corners, so now at least i know exactly where i stand with my PC and i know that the component he replaced is top notch quality. Don't buy electronics from the US, it's a pain to deal with the warranty if something goes wrong. and if something indeed goes wrong, do yourself a favour and call this gentleman, he will not disappoint! 5 stars +++++

I'm extremely happy with the service provided by KSK computers. I brought my Macbook Pro to the Apple store since it wouldn't boot up and they said there was water damage and I would need a new computer (or paying $2100+ in repairs with no guarantee I can keep my data). I wanted to keep the content of my hard drive since I had weeks of unsaved work so I decided to give KSK Computers a try. Like others have stated, their methodology is a bit weird, but I'm glad I trusted them. I brought my laptop to them (he even offered to come pick it up for free) and there is a diagnostic fee payable in cash that ends up being deductible from the final repair cost. About 1 hour later, he already had opened the computer and sent me pictures via text messages of the damages with a quote for the repair. Super fast service! Depending on how you see this, it could seem a bit pricey, but it cost me much less than what Apple wanted to charge me. For a professional service that excels in fixing water damage and making repairs as quickly as them, it's totally worth it in my opinion. The next day, my laptop was fully repaired, cleaned and most importantly, all my data was saved! I would definitely recommend this company for any computer repairs beyond your computer's warranty. I woke up one day and suddenly my laptop would not turn on. I tried absolutely everything and it just didn't work. I contacted KSK and he was very clear with what steps need to take place. So he came to my house and I gave him the deposit money and he picked up my laptop. He informed me that my SSD was toast. Unfortunately for me, this meant I lost all my data. Backup your data, kids! He offered to install a completely new SSD, one which was both faster and higher storage. It wasn't cheap but it was a great option. He came back to drop off my laptop, I gave him the money and that was that. KSK was able to install my brand new SSD and Windows 10 as well as clean the internals and fans of my laptop. This is something that I'm not able to do myself. So I find this to be very valuable. I highly recommend KSK. Unfortunately I have to dock a star. When I received my laptop back, it would crash a lot and the audio just wasn't the same. After tons and tons of troubleshooting, I finally managed to find the proper drivers that my laptop needed. I needed to go to my specific laptop year's driver page to get the proper drivers. After I did that, my laptop no longer crashed and the audio sounded great. Overall, very good experience and I'm glad KSK could fix my computer! It definitely will cost you some money, but less than getting a new computer. The service will be fast and accurate. If you end up in my scenario, and your drive dies and KSK fixes it, just make extra care that you have the proper drivers. My computer honestly feels brand new now. Thank you KSK! :)

I was also a little uncomfortable with the upfront cash payment for the diagnosis, but I gave it a try after reading all the glowing reviews - and I was proven wrong! My daughter's laptop would not charged, we thought it was an issue with the charger or the charging port. It is a Lenovo Ideapad 530S that I handed down to her recently. The laptop had just past two years old with pretty top spec on it. After seeing all the good local reviews online, we decided to give KSK computers a try since the laptop is already out of warranty. They picked it up from my apartment and within couple hours, they gave me their findings of the problem. It turned out the motherboard of my laptop was dead due to overheating, not the charger nor the charging port's problem. Replacing the motherboard is not worthy for me, so they return my laptop to me that evening. When my daughter came back from school that day, she confirmed to me that she was using the laptop on her bed(!!!) when the computer crashed all of a sudden. I think KSK computer did correctly diagnose the problem, I would hope the fix would be more worthy so I can let them service my laptop. I was very impress with the quality, prompt and speedy services with KSK Computers, would go to them again if I have problems with my laptop next time. And a big lesson and learn for everyone, always check and make sure you have good air circulation in the back of your laptop when using it:-)

My PC and laptop were very slow, Internet explore couldn't open, there were a huge ammount of virus, and many more problems. Konesk picked them up, fixed them and dropped it off very quickly. He does really amazing work! He replies fast, works fast and is honest which I liked. I had asked him to replace the fan on my old Toshiba laptop as well as fix a crack on the keyboard and clean it. Once he had received the new fan he had ordered, he came to pick up my laptop, did all the work and gave it back literally the next day! He also advised me not to spend anymore money doing repairs on the laptop since it's very old and to buy a new one when it dies. Really the only good thing about having a computer break while you're working is making a new connection with a smart company that will fix your computer THAT DAY, for a very reasonable price. KSK is really the best computer repair experience I've had in 35 years. Extremely easy to work with and super knowledgeable. I even got pick up and delivery. Magic! BestBuy and most others quoted me 3-4 weeks to replace a power supply at nearly the cost of a new machine. I called 10 places and got the Quebec run-around (arrogant, frustrating attitudes, maybe we can fix it maybe not!) - calls that inspired zero confidence. I got KSK on the phone and there was a can-do tone of expertise and when I argued with him ( I was wrong ), he was patient and heard me out. He also made some recommendations about upgrades that would boost performance - but didn't push or up sell - he was just being thorough. While I simply needed my PC fixed, power supply and memory replaced - Im pretty sure KSK could install and maintain an IT set up for a 1000 employee office and build a super computer. Just call this guy. You'll be happy.

Hello, I had a really bad experience with this guy. My laptop could not boot after resetting the windows 10. He asked 60$ for diagnostics, which means to find the problem and inform the customer. Few hours later, he called me and asked for 280$ to fix the laptop. I asked what the issue is, what is broken? The answer was astonishing: if he tells me what is the problem than I will fix it myself and he won’t make any money... :) :) :) It was too expensive and I refused, then he said that he will fix it for 160$ (120$ less - just like that in a matter of seconds). I refused once again, because it has got really suspicious and took the laptop. I made one more bootable stick (I have tried before contacting this guy, but it did not work because my USB stick was bad and I did not know that, so I used another one and... bingo) and reinstalled the windows and it worked. The problem was that the operational system was erased when I tried to reset the windows. I am sure that he knew it. To conclude: 1.He charged 60$ and did not tell me what the problem was. 2. Did not fix the problem 3. He tried to charge me 280$ and then 160$, just for reinstalling the laptop's original windows (license comes with the laptop, so no costs) that comes with the drivers package from the factory. Beware; he just takes advantage of people that understand nothing in the computer hardware, configurations and set ups. That is very despicable. Hopefully, it did not work with me. (however I lost 60$ and a half of the day, but it could have been worse) I won't trust him and would not recommend to anyone. I am really glad for the people that had good experience dealing with him, but for me it was the worst experience I have ever had with the repair shops. Hope that will help someone!
