AJ has come to my rescue on several occasions. All but once, he was able to do it remotely, from home or the cottage. Not having to drop off, and pick up my computer is one of the services I like most - he takes over your computer and fixes it right in front of your eyes. His prices are always reasonable. Wasn't impressed. From day one upon getting my computer back I've had nothing but issues. When I call to get things repaired I am told that it's easier to buy more hardware, ie camera then it is to fix the software problem. Went to a friend and all issues were resolved within 20 minutes. Would not go there again.

If I could give this guy a -5 stars, I would. Even 1 star is too high. He is an absolute rip off!!! The fact that he was once a tech at the computer place in Penetang was warning flares as to the calibre of his work. If that's where he learned his craft, it explains his business. I had him diagnose my computer & he said I needed a new hard drive. He put in one of the slowest ones there are & completely overcharged for his work. He claimed he replaced it with what was there, instead of perhaps indicating it needed a better one to resolve the issue. He did not make sure it was working properly before giving it back to me. He in no way resolved the problem with my computer but was sure quick to grab the money. I didn't take it back as I moved out of the area shortly after & was in shock as to the extreme poor quality of service. Upon my recent call to complain, he offered only lame excuses & refused to accept responsibility for his extremely poor service. I have now had my computer "properly" repaired by a local "quality" tech who was more interested in resolving my issue at a reasonable price then he was in simply making money by overcharging with extremely shabby service & workmanship. I very much do not recommend Penetangtech what so ever!!!!!!!!!! He is an absolute disgrace as a computer tech & his field!!! Response to owner's 1st response: If I brought the computer home & the problem was still present, then it’s obvious it was present when it left the shop. It wasn’t even checked in my presence to make sure. Therefore it proves my review to be correct & your words to simply be empty words without any validity in my case & possibly how many other unknown cases. I will certainly be sharing my experience with others in the area & outside the area so that they don’t make the same mistake I did. Given the extreme poor service, quality of work, & lack of honesty, it also brings into question whether the old hard drive was in fact failing or if it was wrongfully replaced instead of properly addressing the issue. I guess we will never know now but all residents & customers need be aware of my experience with Penetangtech & take extreme precaution. Penetangtech's response to his shabby, overpriced service is to try & lay blame on the customer he ripped off. Seriously??? He has proven himself to be a tech of only mediocre quality who will tell his customers what they want to hear, take advantage of a customer when possible & rip them off if given the opportunity but yet will try to lay blame on the customer for his incompetence & dirty business practices. He does work in a fashion that will give cause to customers to have to go back so that he can make yet more money from them instead of doing it right the first time. I say boycott Penetangtech but if one does choose to do business with him, be very educated before going to him & proceed with extreme caution!!!
