I got my Acer laptop fixed in Elm Computer Services, I had Windows Error Recovery Loop and the desktop never showed. I got most of my files and did a factory backup. Now it's running like new and the cost was cheap and affordable. I would go here any time I get a problem with my laptop.

Took my pc to a repair shop on Pembina Hwy with a ton of positive Google reviews. After NINE DAYS (I was told in writing that eta was 5 - 7 days max), they informed me that the hard drive needed to be replaced (OS wouldn't boot up). Dismayed/NOT pleased by the length of time between contact (9 days??), I took the pc to Elm for a 2nd opinion. Neil was accommodating and friendly. Had a diagnosis within FOUR HOURS and low and behold, I apparently DIDN'T need a new hard drive. Neil re-installed the OS and had me on my way in good time at a fair price. I'll be doing all of my pc work with Neil at Elm from now on.

Received great service from this computer repair store in Winnipeg. They also had some really good deals on used computers and used laptops. Although we did have laptop repairs done, we noticed they have some good sales on laptops for sale at around $100 and up! :) Great laptop repair service and computers store in Winnipeg.

I would suggest avoiding ELM at all costs. Quite a few years ago I brought in my PC because I was having difficulty installing a new mouse, which required opening up the tower and doing something with the motherboard, I can't recall exactly. The staff were condescending and made fun of me, even put "The Mouse Lady" on the invoice instead of my actual name. I was absolutely shocked and told the guy I wanted to speak to the manager. I was even more shocked when he told me "I am the manager". One of the techs did tell me that he also had a lot of difficulty with this job. Frankly I'm surprised they are still in business.

Shouldn't even give them 1 star. I went there to drop my laptop and the guy there said it will be 100 bucks for fixing the hinges of it. I went the next day and what i thought it would look the same just fixed from the inside. There were two screws poping out of it and he said '' there wasn't any other way of fixing it'' . He then said the price is 140 and with taxes 158. The thing is I could have easily fixed it the same, even better. They are not professional and they are ripping people off. I don't know how they have almost 5 stars. People like them dont deserve to have any business.

I have used elm CS for all of my strange computer errors for years. That's been multiple home and business computers (25+). Our company uses a different service provider for our network and server but other than that I would strongly recommend you try elm out.

i took my hp computer because the wireless connection wasnt working, i got my computer back after 1 day. As soon as i went home, i had the exact same problem nothing was fixed, its not like i had the computer for a week or something, it was just a after i got it back and went home. i was soo dissappointed i called him and he said that he fixed it and he would have to charge me again for getting it fixed a second time. BUYER BEWARE, horrible service!! 80 dollars wasted

Even though our laptop failed after six months with a 30 day standard second hand warrantee my son got a replacement hp 17 inch with 12 gb of ram and 250 gb ssd internal drive. It has a few extras and all our data will be transferred over from our old del to this hp. The cost is the same as the dell that died after only six months-del isn't a good brand. My youngest son has a hp and used it all through college and into his jobs although the video card is dated. My good fortune rub off to us.

I dropped my laptop off because it was running slowly and asked them to clean the hard drive and have it reset to factory settings. He assured me that it would be easy and quick. I had already removed all of my files and most programs. Days later I was told I could pick up up but that it was now completely non-functional (won't even boot up). It was working, though not perfectly, before they touched it. His response: "at least I'm not charging you for my work". I would not trust them with anything.
