June 2021, In spite of lockdowns, lineups and limitations, the guys at MacOutpost on Wharncliffe made sure I got exactly what I needed. Helped with other questions about other products and didn’t hurry me out the door because people were waiting. Product is great - as expected - and service is second to none - as I’ve come to realize!! June 2019: Bought a third party iPad and should have known to go to MacOutpost first. They solved my problem straight away. Never been happier and learned from my mistake. Thanks to John and Virginia for all their help. Highly recommended and wouldn’t consider going to the Apple store.
These guys are great! Fantastic customer service, they take the time to explain things for purchase, repairs and maintenance of all Apple products. Really nice personal touch. We brought our computers in for malware removal, they keep track of the computer and let you know if there’s new malware on there, so it can be addressed right away! Highly recommend them for new purchases and repairs

In these times long service waits are expected. We waited 5 weeks and paid $225 for 'deep cleaning and data recovery/transfer' + repair estimate on Macbook Pro. In 5 weeks we got an estimate for the repairs: $3000. Obviously, we did not pay for repair. Since we did not pay for repairs, they told us to pay $100 for the data transfer to a HD. We asked how come? isn't that included in $225 already? After about of 1 hour of talking with various people we identified a loophole that allowed them to transfer for free. And now the best part: we took computer home, and I jokingly asked my wife to turn it on. It worked...however, by that time we already bought a replacement... We called the guys at MacOutpost and asked 'how come'? The answer was: "..eh...but the parts are still defective..". We said we are going to let other people know on social media, the answer was "help yourself'. Looks like complete crooks to me... ---------------------------------------------------- The reply is not completely correct. Before the manager, we spoke to another person and he told us that there is always the transfer fee, and he said that there is no fee only if we would have asked to transfer data to a HD to being with. The loophole was that I told that we were not presented with that option, at which case the first person stopped pushing the fee case. Second, there is no way to sugarcoat it: we were told that computer is basically dead; that is why we had to buy a new one. The old one is still working. That is why I called you 'crooks': this is like going for an oil change for a car and being told you need to replace the engine and transmission. Third, it is super-hypocritical to tell now that 'feel free to contact me directly...' As I said, once we got home and and figured out that the Mac was working, I called your store (well before any review posting), and I asked for an explanation. There was a silence. And when I said I will post a review, I was told 'go ahead'.
Be careful with this place. I went to get a MacBook Pro charger and they charge more than what Apple does. When I brought it to the guys attention, he claimed he didn't know the price was less although that has always been the price for those charges so I find it hard to believe they weren't aware. And 4 days later, the charge stopped working, I returned it and just went to Apple to buy a new one. Apple doesn't afflicted with MacPost.
You get honest opinions/advice from people who know what they are talking about. Staff are very friendly and great to deal with. Lots of safe covid measures in place to keep you safe. Repair rates are reasonable. Data recover was perfect.
Recently got my phone repaired at this place. When I got my phone back you all said you had lost my SIM card. I lost all my photos, videos, and contacts because of you all. Highly disappointed wouldn’t recommend!

Definitely not helpful. One guy said that they would "walk me through it" and transferred me. The next guy said I could bring the computer in and they "would give me some pointers" for $175 per hour!
I had a warranty issue and mistakenly believed that I had paid using a card. In fact, it was a rare cash purchase for me. The Mac Outpost team didn’t leave me hanging and sorted through their records to identify the purchase in what I believed to be an above-and-beyond example of their commitment to customer service. I have always gone to this team with needs related to all my Apple development CRA and will continue to do so. Their openness, transparency and ability to walk customers through their challenges is too hard to come by these days. I highly recommend this place and would urge their competitors to step up and follow suit if they know what’s good for them!
Mac outpost doesn't fix or repair computers, they just replace whole parts. They charge you $150 to access your computer, then tell you this after the fact. Ya thanks, I know I could replace my whole engine, but I though you could replace a spark plug here? Before I dropped it off, I explained my Computer might need a new motherboard and therefore it might now be worth repairing. They said they would check it out and see if they could fix. I agreed to $150 for this assessment. They took 4 weeks to look at it. (I had to call them to remind them to do so) They told me; Them; "ya, you need a new motherboard, but if you can find someone to fix it, its a $1.99 part." Me: "huh? I thought you fix computers?" Them; "No we aren't allowed too. Apple doesn't let us. We just replace parts." Me: "Couldn't you have told me this? Now I've spend $150 for you tell me what I already know" Them: "Ya, sorry about that, here's your bill" 6 weeks later i'm out of pocket $150+HST and no better off. Thanks for your help! Avoid this place.

Booked appointment at this “Authorized” location through Apple support for iPhone SE battery service. Told by technician on-site $135 with a 3 day wait after glancing at it and would be better to buy a new phone instead. Repaired by the real Apple store for $65 as quoted originally by Apple. Everything about the phone was pristine and glass was in original shape. (No cracks etc.) Do not recommend this location for repairs if you want to be legitimate, do yourself a favour and take the short drive to have it done at the Apple corporate location.

Mac Outpost gives amazing customer service. I got my first iMac 15 years ago. I went into the store 3 times looking and asking questions before I purchased. They never hurried me and they always were patient with my questions. They have always taken care of me at Mac Outpost. I run 2 service businesses and I need my technology up to date. I've been dealing with them since 1989 before they were Mac Outpost, and over the decades have purchased all of my computer equipment here, both for business and personal use. The staff is very knowledgeable, courteous, efficient, and always a pleasure to deal with.

Dropped off MacBook Pro (2019 w/touchbar) a few days before warranty, they were able to charge warranty for all my issues even through I had received my finished computer after my warranty was over. They were fast and fixed all my issues when I hadn't understood what the issue was (maxed out speakers, etc. ). 10/10 service, was clean, polite, and followed COVID safety measures.

Do yourself a favor and just go to the Masonville Apple Store. When I came here in November of 2020 for spilling stuff juice all over my computer, I was told it would take approximately 5 weeks because they were swamped. No issue here. A couple days later I get a call from them saying that they actually can't fix my computer and I need to call Apple and get a CRU (Customer replacement unit) because my computer was fried and my AppleCare+ didn't cover it. At that point they hadn't fixed anything so I just picked it up and got it fixed at Masonville Apple with no issues. Three days ago (June 2021) when I cracked my screen, I took it straight to Masonville to get it fixed and they told me that Mac Outpost had claimed to have done repairs on my computer even though they hadn't, hence writing off one of my AppleCare accidents. Obviously they hadn't fixed anything so I had to call Apple Support and get them to reverse the claim that they had made. So, save yourself a headache and just take it to Masonville. :)
Customer service was not good at all, A guy named Thomas was telling me instead of my screen being damaged it was just dirty, so when I bought screen cleaner to clean my screen you could see the damage. After I proved myself right and he got very mad and was not impressed with me at all. Thought they were supposed to be helping us instead of making it a competition of who’s right. Would not recommend this store.

Mac Outpost is a fantastic store. I recently had a 27" iMac hard-drive replaced and it was done in a snap. I was giving that computer to my father-in-law and bought a new 27" for my family and I was pretty worried I would lose content when I migrated. Paul Tucknott walked me through it and had everything up and running in no time. Great people, great products, great store.
They take forever to look at your computer. Then low ball you on it's value so they can resell it and make all the profits.

I despise anything apple related but my boyfriend made me go in the store. I'm giving it five stars though because the guy that we talked to was super helpful(I don't know his name and I'd just say "the dude with the beard" but let's face it, it's a mac store so all the guys have beards and all the girls wear infinity scarves), and the store was clean. The only thing is that it's not wheel chair accessible since you have to go up some stairs to get in the store.
If I can give this place a no star I would choose that, I called before showing up asking if I can return my charger it was only a day after and she said yes but there will be a 15% restocking fee. I show up at the store speaking to Scott and he said no I can’t. Who ever is manager there you might want to get your staff all on the same page.

Mac Outpost saved me!! My laptop totally just crashed on me and my hard drive started to fail and I had no clue what to do. As a student, that’s reallt scary. I have an older 2011 MacBook Pro model so Mac Outpost was the only place that carried parts for it. I just walked in and Scott was there to help out! All I can say is - amazing customer service !! He walked me through everything that had to be done step by step and did not have me worry a single bit. I’m happy to say that all my documents were able to be recovered as well as an ease throughout the whole process was provided. Amazing service. Amazing customer service. Promising results! I took my computer here because the power cord stopped working. The laptop was still under warranty, but they still insisted that I leave my computer there overnight for "diagnostics." I only agreed to leave it because there was nothing on it, but that was a super irritating experience, and also a bit suspicious. They did end up replacing the power cable.
Gone is the golden age of independant computer maintenance and tech support. When someone can find great electronic goods and accessories for pennies, why would anyone pay a premium for these products at a store that doesn't offer any sort of warranty or protection beyond what Apple offers? I recently cracked my phone screen, and while Apple can repair the screen in an hour, in-store, Mac Outpost claims that it takes a minimum of 3 weeks, as they don't do it in store. They have to ship to Apple just to have them *assess* whether the repair can be done. Then once they have your permission, they make the repair. In the Apple Store, the repair costs $130. What would I have paid Mac outpost with all that extra shipping and labour? The biggest eyebrow raise for me was that they would charge $65 to have my phone backed up. I'm no technician, but I know enough about how backups and data work to know when I'm being taken. The store is nice, and has some great displays. Some products and accessories here and there that are a little harder to find elsewhere. I think the one advantage to this place is that they provide support for older devices, that by today's standards are almost obsolete. So if you're hanging on to older iPhones or macs, this is the place to go for tech support. I can't get past the pricing though. The Apple Store charged $150 to replace the battery in my MacBook Pro, and Mac outpost was going to charge over $300. The problem here is that their prices are just not competitive in any way. These guys used to be the go to Mac guys in London, but they're quickly falling behind the competition.

I own an iMac, MacBook, iPad/pencil, iPhone, Apple TV, and Apple Watch. I purchased them all directly from Apple, never giving the outpost a chance. Due to the pandemic and the malls being closed, I called the outpost to see if they could help me out. Not only were they able to help me with my request, they went above and beyond by actually performing the service for me (I thought I’d just purchase the product and have to do the manual work myself.) The customer service I received over the phone and in store was professional, insightful, and accurate. I will be coming here for all my Apple needs in the future. So glad to have found this gem of a place!
I have been going to the Mac Outpost for over 8 years and consistently received "AAA" service! The staff is very knowledgable on all products and they are ready for any unique questions or issues as they have Apple certified repair techs on site so you always get an answer. The Mac Outpost is always my first place I go to get answer for all my Mac questions (4 iMacs, 2 Macbook Pros) as they make the experience personal ... like it should be. The only place i'll be going to from now on! The service is above anyone else, had a screen issue with my iphone 11 pro max not only did they get it covered under warranty for me but they had my phone fixed and ready for pick up in 2 days (during a pandemic too!!) I cannot say enough great things about the outpost.
This was my first experience with Mac Outpost, and simply put, it was disappointing. I booked an in-store appointment online, and was excited to receive an email from Paul a couple of days prior to my appointment to get some more information on what I was looking for. I had cracked the screen on my 13” 2015 macbook pro, so informed him that I was considering the options of repair, trade-in, and new purchase. Paul asked for the serial number of my laptop so that he could provide me with a repair quote; about $700 + $150 labour, which would be roughly equivalent to its trade-in value. He answered some questions I had about pros vs. airs, but omitted answering questions I had about their stock supply of macbook pros (after he’d mentioned they were currently hard to come by) and if their store honoured Apple’s education pricing (as I’d mentioned I’d soon be starting school). Upon arriving for my appointment, I was basically asked what I was here for. I confirmed I was speaking with Paul, the same person I had been emailing back and forth with for the past couple of days. Yes, it was Paul, who appeared to have no recollection of our previous conversations. After recounting, again, my problems, needs, and questions, Paul provided a different quote for screen repair than he had provided in his email (without examining the computer and its level of damage). After challenging him on this, he defensively stated that he thought that I had asked about a different computer (despite providing the model details and serial code in the email), and that their store receives thousands of emails a day so he couldn’t possibly be expected to recount everything. I understand that it is a busy time, but what is the point of these pre-appointment conversations if they are not going to contribute at all to the efficiency of the appointment? Paul also accused my email of being faulty and that not all his emails could be delivered (despite me receiving a reply to every email I had sent him) and so I probably didn’t receive all of the information. When asked about repair time turn-around, I was quoted 4+ weeks, but that we could pay an additional $100 to get further up the list, but that a completion time still couldn’t be guaranteed. I understand that this is a busy time given the current circumstances and holidays, but this system simply seemed unethical. When asking Paul about education pricing (again) he said that their store couldn’t honour this program as a private retailer, but that it would only save me about $30 anyways so it wasn’t even worth it. I pulled up Apple’s education pricing of the computer model we were discussing on my phone, to show him that it was actually about a $200 difference from his store. He continued to provide excuses on why they can’t offer the same prices as Apple. Following this experience, I was not interested in offering my business to the Mac Outpost. I proceded to the Masonville Apple store to seek assistance there, where I had a wonderfully helpful and friendly experience, and purchased a new Macbook Air. Oh, and not only was their repair price significantly lower (~$400), but they quoted me a 24-48hr turnaround time, but that it could likely even be done same-day. I would highly recommend fulfilling your Apple shopping needs at the Masonville (or any other) Apple Store, skip the Outpost.

I love all my apple products and really like the personal service they provide along with the best technical support. With a small business you get to know the staff and they get to know you. Whether you are looking for the newest technology, or a great deal on a used/refurbished item I highly recommend Mac Outpost.
Paul and the staff at Mac Outpost are extremely friendly and courteous. They always get back to me in a timely manner, have made last minute changes to orders, and repaired my older machines to keep them working well past their prime. Came in with a dead iPod out of warranty. They got it working in a couple minutes (minutes mostly because the battery was dead too) and they didn't charge me. Very happy customer!
I have yet to buy something from these people, but their customer service has been light years better than any other affiliate of Apple and Mac products that I have dealt with. You do not have to book an appointment through your iPad (and wait for a stupid length of time); you just go in, and they will help you. They have real techs who know their stuff; even the owners are in the store working on computers and answering questions. The prices could be a little better, but it's Apple; Apple charges you just for it being an Apple product. For anyone that needs to get their Apple products fixed or serviced, or for anyone that just needs some help or has questions, I highly suggest going to Mac Outpost. They will always be my go to place for Apple stuff.
Mac Outpost, specifically Scott, was very helpful and knowledgeable in giving advice towards the fixing of our Mac. He spoke honestly and was not in anyway trying to just get our business. We will definitely go to Mac Outpost for any further needs. Very personable and friendly!

I have been dealing with Mac Outpost since they were a little shop out in the wilds of Exeter Road, waaay back in 1999. Back when you could call and pretty much be assured that Peter Himself would be the one to pick up the phone if I called. Which I did. Often. Probably to his dismay, but he was always able to help, and though the business has grown, things haven't changed. Someone's always there to help. I have only ever used and purchased Apple computers, so it was a bit of a no-brainer that back in January this year, when I needed a new one, I would return to Mac Outpost and get myself a lease return MacBook Pro. My confidence in their lease return program has always been high, but this time? Through no fault of theirs, I got myself a lemon. It's bound to happen once in a while, and I'm sure that after the seventh or eighth trip in to have them dio then service my craptop, Paul and Gaven, and Virginia et al, were getting tired of seeing me. Not to mention the cost of gas and my time (plus loss of clients, as I freelance) to get all the way there from Port Stanley each time something would go wrong with it. I was beginning to feel as if I were cursed. Three logic boards, two brand new RAM swaps, a system wipe/restore, a complete newer casing (went from early 2011 to late model 2011) and god knows what else later, I finally had had enough. Enough time wasted. Enough gas wasted. Enough business lost as a result of having a computer in the shop more than it was on my desk. I called and spoke with Peter. Told him that, for the first time in nearly twenty years, my confidence in both a product and a service were on very shaky ground. Asked him what we could do. Asked him what they were willing to do. And again, they were able to come through for me. To restore my faith in Apple and Mac Outpost. I'm writing this from my *new* iMac and couldn't, honestly, be any happier with the end result. No more laptop for me, I have switched back—after a ten-year hiatus—to a desktop, and it's all thanks to a business willing to go the extra mile to retain a long-term client. Show me anyplace else that cares enough to do that. Takeaways: Avoid, if possible, any models of MacBook Pro from early or late 2011. Deal with a business that, though potentially more expensive, remembers you and treats you like they'd like to keep your business. And always, *always* get the extended Mac Outpost Warranty when purchasing used. I figure that hundred dollars spent in January saved me somewhere around FOUR THOUSAND dollars (maybe more) by the time this saga concluded. Thanks, as always to all the staff at Mac Outpost but most especially Paul T., for his consummate professionalism; Gaven for his patience and knowledge and Peter M., for being there, once again, to make things right. If I could post more than 5 stars, I would.
They managed to get all my data back which was superb! Thanks Paul! I had to wait a couple of days which was too bad as I really needed my machine but I understand these things take time. Guess I shouldn't have spilled that coke!
Though the repair department was helpful, their quote was twice that of the Apple store in Masonville. In addition to the part replacement cost their labor charge was $195 compared to a flat $39 charge at the Apple store. I would compare prices before you use the repair service here.

Ira replaced my battery properly and in a day. I had booked my appointment for 4:20 (just coincidence, not a joke) didn’t get in until after 5, even though only two people were ahead of me. Do not give them your email. When asked for my email, I asked what for, they said it was for contact purposes. Nope, they just apply you to a mailing list without your permission. Edit: Implied consent is a fancy way of saying, “I didn’t have your permission, you should have assumed we’d send you unrelated emails”. Edit 2: Owner deleted response because he realizes its scummy what he is doing. My first edit was in response to his deleted reply.

We have been to this place at least 5 times and we should have learned from previous experience not to bother going again. But I have mobility issues and COVID concerns so I can’t go to the Apple store in the mall. Every time we go, we are made to feel that we are bothering the sales people by daring come in to their domain. The last time I wanted help with an Apple item that was defective and was included in the Quality Program with an automatic return and replace. I was told quite rudely with no apology that a receipt was required. It was a gift. I did not have a receipt. There was no alternative offered. I was told that it was Apple’s policy to require a receipt. So I went on the Apple support chat and my issue was resolved without needing a receipt. Last time I will try Mac Outpost. The funny thing is that we are huge Apple users and could be in the market for more Apple products in the future. In the words of Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman, “Big mistake, huge.”
These guys are great. They know what they're talking about and they care about their customers. Mac Outpost will go above and beyond to make sure they sell good products (whether new or refurbished) and they stand behind their products with an amazing service department.

I had taken my mac in to have the hard drive replaced and the agent who received it told me that it could be a software or hardware problem when I had already determined it was the hard drive. I would pay $95 for this service. When I picked up my computer the bill was an additional $400 for the new hard drive and transfer of data. I had to take the computer back to have them complete the installation of the standard programs. ALSO, they did not copy all of my data which was part of the cost. I would NOT recommend this business as customer service is not their main focus and they have an issue with completing what is requested. I am going to have some knowledgeable friends complete the recovery for me.
Absolute garbage service
This is merely a word of caution for Mac owners. I had been experiencing issues with my MacBook Pro, which were being caused by faulty RAM. I had run the Apple diagnostic tests, which showed a problem with a memory module (PPM002, PPM003, PPM004). I brought it in to be serviced, and was talked into, and rather foolishly agreed to the "Deep Clean - Full Service Tuneup" at a cost of $199 + tax, as I thought that the issues could have been caused by my 2 year old's best attempt at writing an essay on the computer, and that something had come loose internally. I was told that this service would see each major component checked to see if there was an issue unrelated to the RAM, which as with new MacBook Pros, requires a new logic board ($$$.) I don't mean to begrudge Mac Outpost too much, but when I called (I had to call to check on the status of my repair), and when I picked it up, both employees informed me that the data had been backed up (I had erased the drive in my diagnostics), and that the diagnostic showed an issue with the memory module (ie. two things I was already aware of.) Neither told me when I asked what had been done to the computer that the internal components had been checked in full, which was the main reason for paying $225 up front without anyone diagnosing the problem. I brought the computer to the Apple Store at Masonville where they diagnosed the computer at no charge, and for a time in front of me at the Genius Bar, and ultimately, it does require a new logic board. I had wished to avoid this, based on: 1. A desire to frequent locally owned, and independent establishments, and 2. A desire to avoid subjecting myself to driving in London. I imagine that Mac Outpost would diagnose the issues at no charge, or at least for their normal bench fee, which I would have been happy to pay. However, I just would like others to be aware that if you are having significant issues with your Mac, don't be swayed to pay $199 + tax upfront. tl:dr - I'm an idiot, agreed to pay $225 up front before a service tech had diagnosed my machine, not sure anyone did what I was sold on. Took it to the Apple Store, they diagnosed for free, and are now replacing the logic board.
I found Mac Outpost to be professional, efficient and easy to deal with. Mac Mini problem was addressed promptly for a reasonable cost. I will continue to use their services in the future.
Didn't have a very welcoming experience during a very stressful time. Laptop stopped working during exams. If you are experiencing any issues with your Apple product, I would strongly recommend heading over to Masonville.

My laptop decided to call it quits 3 days before my wedding. Of course, I had nothing backed up, my honeymoon itinerary, and wedding lists were on my laptop and it wouldn’t even turn on. I went into Mac Outpost and Scott instantly made me feel hopeful that we could get my data to be able to have my documents. He was incredibly kind, personable, and professional. They got my data onto a hard drive (thank gosh) and Scott gave me a tutorial on how to use the hard drive. Went in today - Friday before the long weekend and Mac Outpost looked after me until I was comfortable with the changes made earlier to my computer. I had trouble with the upgrades to my computer that didn't sync with the old files and programs - i expressed my concern to Virginia the manager and she assured me that she would look after me immediately - she put Greg on the task and two hours later -here I am with a working (and secure) computer - many thanks for being professional and getting me going with such short notice.
Called today to support my sister with understanding the steps taken during her repair. During the conversation the technician wouldn’t hear me out and consistently kept cutting me off and shutting down everything I had to say. After attempting multiple times to get my point across with no success and being told he couldn’t do anything to help us and I had no other option but to call Apple Support, I told the technician that his customer service was disgusting to which he replied with “Haha, you’re cute.” I immediately hung up the phone. Will never recommend this company to anyone. Disgusting service.

This past week my laptop crashed and after taking it to the Genius Bar at Apple, was told that since Apple Care does not cover personal loss of data, I would need to take it to MAC outpost. It is important to know that in order to keep your warranty under Apple Care, you must take your laptop to official Apple technicians - you cannot just take the laptop to any shop. The reason I have Apple products over other brands is because of the level of sophistication as well as customer service I receive. A lot of the reviews on here are written out of bad taste; it's important to recognize you have a Mac. It's like comparing a Toyota Corolla to a BMW - if the parts of your BMW break, you are paying much more than if the parts of your Corolla break. I was extremely distraught hearing that my hard drive was fried because my entire university life, as well as work life, was on my laptop. I was immediately greeted with kindness and was told that the battle is not yet over. I made the choice to stick with Mac Outpost, despite it being somewhat more expensive than other random stores around London, because it was Apple Official, meaning the standard of care and customer service met Apple's standards. I find it quite immature and surprising that the angry posts below are written by people who have clearly not done their research, nor understood what they are paying for. Like anything in life, you can pick up the phone or send an email and enquire about how much your repair will cost, what you are willing to pay, and where you are willing to take it. My Mac was returned to me in perfect condition, with an extended warranty. I kept in touch with Mac Outpost and was aware of what was being done, and how much it would cost. I MADE THE CHOICE to keep my laptop here, instead of take it to a random shop, because I wanted the service to be guaranteed under Apple Standards. Thanks to Paul and Virginia for their amazing communication and for giving me reassurance during a time of great stress. You get what you pay for folks - if you want cheap service that isn't quick or guaranteed, take your Toyota Corolla elsewhere. :)

Horrible experience. My iPhone Will not hold a charge I called Apple care and they made an appointment for me. Confirmed I would be helped as I had gone before and they said to go to an Apple store. I have been paying into my Apple care for years. Went in and was told it doesn’t matter what a 1-800 number says they will not look at my phone and I can leave it there but they will not supply me with a loaner and they could have it for weeks if they find an error. When I told them my situation as to why I needed my phone I was told ‘well everyone needs their phone.’ Left in tears Extremely unhelpful and condescending When I called Apple care from the parking lot he was very surprised and asked why a battery test was refused to be performed on my phone. I will never go back and I will be waning all family and friends I avoid this place of business

I had e-mailed with Paul at the Out Post prior to Step 1 and he was excellent in responding quickly to my questions. After opening I went in and staff helped my to make my final decision and I ordered. Delivery came in to store a day ahead of when promised. ALL GREAT with my dealings--this is the 3rd time I have purchased at the MAC Outpost.
My six year old Mac was performing poorly, with the rainbow ball constantly on display. The people at Mac Outpost told me it would take two weeks to get to my Mac due to the student rush. It proved to be a worthwhile wait, my old Mac is working like new. It’s fast and rock steady.
Mac Outpost really ensured I left the store happy. They were able to fix my Macbook Pro hardware issue within 15 minutes. I appreciated their professionalism, friendliness, and dedication to making sure I was able to get my issue fixed as soon as possible. We've known John and Peter since they opened the new Mac Outpost2 store at White Oaks Mall. We're very happy with the refurbished iMac we purchased this summer as it saved us several hundred dollars above a brand new one and we've had zero issues with it. Recently, we rented a couple of iPads with some great stands for a trade show and quite a few people came up and asked us about them and said what a great idea it was. 5 stars for Mac Outpost! I needed an urgent upgrade of my Mac OS and they were as courteous and efficient as always. Even though they were busy and told me the upgrade would take a few days, they gave me a call within 24 hours to tell me my Mac was ready. I use Mac Outpost regularly and they have never let me down! Highly recommended!
Avoid at all cost! Just go to the Apple store. I went to replace my phone due to damage. Said it be a hour ended up taking 8 hours. Then the brand new phone was deflected and have had to return to the Apple store three times for them to resolve these issues. Koodo worker even told me these authorized dealer are sketch... don’t use them. Hope this helps!

I purchased a new mac book pro a few years ago plus a training course for 146.89. Unfortunate due to personal reasons I couldn’t take the training course at that time. When I contacted the company to ask if I could put the amount I prepaid towards a new laptop. I was told they would only give me half of my money back. Regardless of todays law that business have to honor all money pre paid whether it’s a gift cert or paid credit. This is a really poor business practice.
A family member gave me their old MacBook and I took it here to have it reset. It was an extremely positive experience. The staff were kind and helpful (both on the phone and in person) and I thought their COVID protocols were sensible and appropriate. I didn’t shop around for prices but I thought the amount seemed reasonable and in any event, this was an extremely positive experience compared to experiences I’ve had at the Apple store. My advice would be this, if your main concern is knowledgeable and considerate staff that seem to want to provide excellent service, go here.
Recently I experienced some serious difficulties with my iMac but thanks to the fine work of both Paul and Gaven, those problems were dealt with in a timely and productive way. These guys are the best! Garwood Wallace, London ON

I had a question about sending a specific file to an app developer and they quickly reviewed the file that was requested , gave me their opinion and allowed me to do what was required. They are great! If you need something Mac related, They get it and/or give you a honest opinion if you should get it. If you have a problem, with your Apple product, they will either fix it promptly or suggest what to do. Only place I go to.
I purchased a used ipad from the outpost. I was then assured the ipad had been looked over and is in 100% working order. Now less then 24 hours after purchase, it blue screened out of nowhere and cannot even boot up properly. And to top it off i now have to wait untill 11 just to drive across town to figure out why my 100% working order ipad couldnt even last more then 2 hours of usage before it crashed. In short I feel like I have been ripped off, even if it is replaced it is a waste of my time and gas to go and have this looked at when its not even a day old.

Great customer service! Pricing was very competitive and they helped me find a new iPad along with accessories for my MacBook and iPad. Their COVID friendly pick up was super easy and efficient.
Took my air pod pros in for a minor repair. First I was told it would likely be covered by my apple care and only take 2-3 days, unless they needed to mail them in to apple but assured me they would contact me before mailing them anywhere. 2 weeks later - nothing - I call for an update and they tell me there's water damage and apple is asking for a deductible of $50 but they are trying to negotiate it away. 2 more weeks - still nothing - I reach out again and I'm told they've mailed them to apple, and the $50 fee is non-negotiable. Now suspicious and angry that they've mailed them without contacting me first as promised, I decline and ask for them back and a few days later I pick them up still broken. 30 mins later at the real apple store, and they do a quick test, say they'll replace both of them free of charge. Whether scam artists or just incompetent (I suspect the former) - save yourself the trouble and just go straight to apple.

Brought our Mac Book pro in for service work before Christmas. It was freezing up and shutting down becoming very frustrating and unreliable. The service advisor listened carefully to the issues happening with the laptop and discussed possible repair solutions and costs. The unit was left for diagnostics to determine the cause of the problems experienced, and a follow up phone call advised of the repairs needed and cost. The laptop was repaired and returned to us. It is now performing better now. Thanks for the work done here!
Scammers. They tried to charge me $200 for a diagnostic when I can get it for free at Apple Masonville. Be careful with these guys. Reply: No thanks. I don’t associate with scammers. I’ve heard terrible stories from other people who’ve been there. And then if people don’t like the two-three week repair time, you try to charge them an extra $100 on top of the original $200 to speed it up?? All you do is capitalize off people who aren’t aware that the majority of services you offer are free at Apple Masonville. Pretty shameful stuff. Buyer beware!!!!
I love dealing with Mac Outpost. They have a great selection, they really know their stuff, and their customer service is top notch. Recently my son spilled water on his MacBook Pro. Mac Outpost was able to take it apart, dry it out, and give it back in perfect working order! Amazing!
Went there with my laptop and my sisters laptop for a broken hard drive and a required update. They wanted $200 dollars total. Took it to the Apple store and they did it for free. You'll never see me here again.
I was advised to take my macbook pro in to get looked at because I can't seem to get any connection through HDMI. When I took my laptop in he started talking down to me about how to connect a monitor. He didn't open the laptop and try to troubleshoot at all, so there was no effort on his part. Then he told me that they would need my laptop for 4+ weeks. I asked if I could just bring my laptop in when they were ready to repair it and he said no I need to leave it with them until they can get to it. He then offered my a "special rate that is for commercial clients", I could pay $100 and they would get to it sooner. (That felt like a money grab.) or I could rent a computer for the 4+ weeks. (another money grab.). I will not be going back nor will I recommend this place to anyone.

I recently purchased a refurbished Mac Book Air online and the process was extremely smooth. All my questions were answered immediately and I received my computer very quickly. It looks brand new and works perfectly. The price was affordable and I couldn't be happier. Thanks John and team
My MacBook Pro display full on died so I brought it in to get it looked at. $200 for just the diagnostics, and they said it would be a 3-week turnaround (for just the diagnostics, not any repairs) as they were receiving units from Apple Stores to be fixed. As I am a student, I couldn't wait that long for just the diagnostics, so I paid an extra $50 for expedited service—$282 total for just the diagnostics. They called back a week later, citing that the display needed to be replaced for a tidy $850; I picked up the MacBook and took it to a regular Apple Store (Masonville) for a second opinion. The Apple Store employee diagnosed it in 10 minutes, for free, AND told me that the repair was fully covered under Apple's Quality Control program (even though the warranty had expired) and that my fixed computer would be ready for pickup in 3 days. He also said that they don't ship out units to be repaired to the Mac Outpost and had no clue what the Mac Outpost employee meant by that. Mac Outpost employees are nice, but please beware the very high cost of and wait time for their diagnostics, and the fact that they might not be aware of Apple's Quality Control program—they may charge you full price (in my case, ~$1,200 for the diagnostics and repair) for something that would be completely covered by Apple (I didn't have to pay a penny at Masonville). I would recommend going to an Apple Store first to see if you qualify for a quick and free fix, and only then go to a Mac Outpost.

The owners and staff at Mac Outpost are so helpful and knowledgeable about their products. I love that they support the community as well, and are doing their absolute best to safely serve customers during these times of Covid and government restrictions. Kudos to this local family owned business that is doing their very best.

Amazing experience here. Went in with extensive liquid damage to my laptop and they managed to save all my files and data (the loss of which would have been devastating) even though the flash drive was soaked! Could not be more thankful. I walked in in tears and by the time I left was laughing (thanks to the wonderful retail manager Virginia).

Had Quinn help me with an Apple Watch replacement and he was beyond helpful. Despite me being annoying and emailing him for updates all the time, he was always extremely friendly and helpful. For any Apple related issues or upgrades I would now rather use this outpost as opposed to going to an actual Apple Store!
Took my iPhone in because my charger wouldn’t charge my phone any more, Scott Henry the General Manager took care of my problem while I waited in the store. When he returned my iPhone to me he said there’s no charge for the service thanks Scott!

I am very pleased with the service that I received. I went to return a charger plug. Scott tested the plug on his phone then my phone and found that it was working. He then cleaned the contacts on my phone. I took the phone home, attached the plug to the charging cord and voila, everything worked! Thank you for friendly and efficient service and for being in my neighbourhood.
I bought my first Mac from Mac Outpost (Wharncliffe Rd) in 2008. For the last 8 years the customer service has been outstanding and very professional - from Paul T’s cheerful, friendly greeting through the IT service/maintenance team. Since I live in the country with no available high speed, I so appreciate them doing all the upgrades on my Mac, printer and GPS. Any extra help I need when I return home, they professionally and cheerfully talk me through what needs to be done. I like the fact the so many of the staff have been there for years; they know their customers and their products. Thank you!
