Newly renovated rooms were very comfortable

Well kept and amazing location. Staff is super helpful and accommodating. Will definitely be staying here again!

This hotel is in a great location, just minutes from Lake Louise. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Check-in and check-out was quick and with as minimum contact as possible. While the family room (located in The Main Lodge) was very spacious and the beds were fairly comfortable, the room was dated and needs a facelift. The room was also very hot as the heat kept coming on. There was no in-room temperature control (I did not realize this property didn't have air conditioning) so we kept the windows open through the evening and night. Because of COVID-19, the breakfast room (inconveniently located in the basement of a separate building) was closed for seated dining. At check-in, we were given a breakfast form that had a variety of breakfast options, which we completed the next morning and brought to the breakfast room staff. They bagged our food selections, whatever was available as 1/4 of the options including vanilla yogurt, ketchup and cream cheese had run out, and we had breakfast in our room. Unfortunately, our one-night stay was not worth $298.

It's in the heart of lake Louise village. Rooms are large and you can find all the amenities you need. There s also a spa. Price was in my opinion too high.

Zach Locks

Reasonably priced. Great option to save some money while visiting Lake Louise, which is a nice half hour hike from here.

Jonathan Bradley

A nice lodge with a hot tub, comfortable rooms and beautiful views.

Sirisha Mantravadi

Rooms clean and updated. Beds new and comfortable. Parking was tight. People with mobility issues should request a ground room. Breakfast was good but not accessible for people with disabilities. No elevators.

For what you pay it's pretty good. Hot tub is in excellent condition. Entire place very clean. Rooms are a bit dated. Sheets are soft and comfortable, beds are firm. Hot continental breakfast options are pretty terrible. I'd recommend guests steer away from the breakfast sandwiches. Stick to the yogurt, fruit, oatmeal.... Etc. I would stay here again.

Decent room for the pricing! You don't really get a view just a bunch of trees. The shower pressure is very high and you aren't able to stand in the shower for long it definitely needs to be adjusted. 1 thing that was great was the breakfast in the morning with lots to choose from and eat!

Rented an “upgraded” room for $212. They had a tray in the room because their breakfast was shut down, unfortunately there was expired yogurt and cream cheese on it, which were warm because they didn’t put them in the fridge. I wrote that off and ordered in enough food from a local restaurant for supper/breakfast, unfortunately the fridge didn’t work so all of the extra food I ordered was spoiled by the morning. The fridge also dripped blackish water onto the boxes I had in it (assuming black mold). Brought this up with the front desk (young man at the front was polite), unfortunately the only compensation I was offered was some fruit cups, a couple pastries, and a half litre of yogurt that expired that day.

3 Tings that stood out during the stay. 1. Professional and Courteous Staff 2. Comfort 3. Well priced accommodation. Will definitely come back.

Room 102 is quite noisy. Not only the clomping of ski boots but the drain pipes are in the walls. We could hear every flush. Had to unplug the fridge due to an awful hum/buzz. Room was hotter than blazes even with the thermostat at 10C. Had to open the windows just to get it cool. Only saving Grace was hot tub, steam room and pleasant breakfast. Otherwise would be a 1 out of 5.

The staff were incredibly accommodating, friendly, and driven to make our stay perfect. Thank you for a wonderful stay ! We will be back soon

The Mountaineer Lodge was a great place foe our family to stay while skiing/snowboarding at Lake Louise. Very close to the ski resort and even a free shuttle available which we used and it was very handy. The room was very comfortable. Well heated, clean, comfortable beds, modern updates (we were apparently in the newly renovated building). The hot tub was very nice, no pool but we had 2 adults and a teen so that was fine. A bit pricey but only because we went so close to Christmas. The staff were very friendly, professional, and efficient. Only downfall was the breakfast food, very dry and not a great quality, but it is complimentary so nothing lost there. All in all a great place to stay!

The room was absolutely disgusting. When we checked in there were about a dozen hairs on the bathroom floor. My wife informed the front desk. A fellow arrived with a spray bottle, went into the bathroom, and closed the door. 5 minutes later he flushed the toilet and left. When I checked the room, the hairs were still there so I removed them myself. When doing so, I noticed a pool of urine around the toilet. We also found candy on the floor, a heavy layer of dust on the tv and fridge, hand print on one mirror and splatter marks on the other two mirrors. There were splatter marks of what I'd rather not think about on the two picture frames above the beds. When checking out I informed the front desk about the state of the room. I got no apology or attempt to make things right. Just a "thank you for informing us" while not making eye contact. Sadly, because this area is so busy, they will be able to be fully booked and charge high prices because of tourist demand without ever having to change a thing. Wifi was horrible and stopped working after the first day there.

Stayed here for 2 nights during our family road trip our room was beautiful and kid friendly the service was great the staff was friendly. The only issue we could think of is the lack of privacy due to no window tint we had great big windows to let in light and I wanted so bad to keep the blinds open but was put off because people would be able to see us. Otherwise I would recommend to family and friends to stay here. They also offer free hot breakfast and they have a hot tub which we couldn't use due to covid restrictions.

Daniel

Had breakfast that you pick up from the restaurant and bring back to the room. Rooms were clean and good price

Nice hôtel, very close to lake Louise. Nothing much to eat around. The staff was great and very kind.

For the amount you have to pay to stay in the Lake Louise area, I am disappointed. They need to replace their mattresses in the worst way! They sag so bad you feel like you are sleeping in a bowl and spend all night rolling into your partner. I understand that the hotel is older but it is unfortunate that they only updated it cosmetically and did not improve the sound proofing. You can hear absolutely everything, and we stayed here on a Sunday night when there were maybe ten other people in the whole hotel. Ps we stayed in room number 33

Recently renovated with a decent breakfast, but there was debris on the pillow and the room could have been cleaned better.

Leila Craig

We had a wonderful stay at mountaineer lodge. The renovated room was beautiful and functional. The beds were so comfortable! Also the breakfast was delicious. They definitely earned both the five star rating and a positive review!

Very dirty bathrooms, as an advice please clean it properly.. it doest take too long just to put bleach and remove all the dirt. It was pretty hard for me to take a shower ????????. Pillows were also dirty... in this times of covid cleaning should be the priority but this please doest take it serious.

Tristan Layman

Newly renovated rooms clean and nice. Hotel internet was so slow we couldn’t stream SD video. Complementary breakfast Better than nothing, but it all pre-made heat and eat stuff. There is a loud train going by all the time.
