This is not my first time availing myself of the services of KSK Computers. The first time I had a motherboard failure on a critical work computer. I was looking at a hefty price and several days wait for a replacement, during which time I would get no work done. Mr. Koneswaran was able to take a soldering iron (perhaps figuratively) to the motherboard and replace the bios chip which had malfunctioned. It was a same day, pick up and delivery. I could not have been more pleased. This time I had a C drive failure. Mr. Koneswaran was able to recover all the drive data and effectively mirror it onto a new drive. He also identified and fixed several problems which could easily have become major failures over the next year had they not been addressed (like a CPU fan about to seize up). Especially if your computer is critical, you cannot afford to avail yourself of less than this level of professional service.

Fantastic service!!!! My mid 2012 macbook died on me suddenly on a Friday. I had not done a recent back-up, and I needed the files preserved. So I went to the nearest Apple store to get it fixed. After being turned away at the ''Genius'' bar, I looked up the nearest place with the best reviews, and KSK computers showed up. I dropped off the fried laptop on a Friday, and just now picked it up early Monday morning, with everything transferred on another laptop for a fair price. Needless to say, KSK saved my life here. I bought my MacBook air in 2011. A few weeks ago, I was having difficulty getting my new printer to scan. I went onto the hp envy site and saw a pop up to text them for help. Soon they said to call them. They asked to have access inside my computer. Foolishly I let them. They showed me something in my computer to was blocking the scanning process and said that their technical person needed 20 minutes to correct it. At the point I said, no way and they hung up. I was paranoid for a few weeks until a friend who is a programmer tried to reset to an earlier date before this incident. I had been backing up on a Seagate hard drive. He couldn't reset it and things got worse and worse until he deleted everything on the laptop and tried to reinstall the operating system. After many hours of work, all that happened was a white screen with a big question mark. There was nothing left on my computer! It was recommended I go to the fancy Apple store in a big shopping centre but I found KSK computers in the directory. I left a message and he phoned back very quickly. I liked the sound of him. I dropped it off at his place around 4pm and went shopping. He texted me a few time, asking for username and password. He took a picture of the massive amount of dust inside because the battery was completely dead for the last six months so he changed that also. He let me know that the hard drive was not great but I can't afford a new one until I have no choice. Any, he updated it to Catalina. It looks great. He gave me basic instructions on how to get my Seagate back up to bring all my info back. It worked well and I'm so relieved to have everything back as it was a few weeks ago! Thank you Mr. KSK!

My 2011 MacBook Pro was running terribly slow. I was really considering purchasing a new laptop. My last recourse was to reach out to someone who could potentially repair it and luckily I landed on KSK Computers. Talk about going above and beyond. I have been an Apple person since the late '70's with an Apple IIe. I've had 4 different Apple/Mac computers since then using Apple products at home and Microsoft/IBM ones at work. Of course any problems (never in the Macs) was always taken care of by the IT professionals at work. Since my retirement from work I've only had my Macs at home and no IT professionals. The inevitable happened with my 10 year old IMac when my video card ceased to function. I called SKS and Konesh suggested the best bet would be to get a new iMac at about $4000. He said I would have trouble migrating Music and Photos because I was using an older OS. I decided the solution for me would be to install a refurbished Video card. Konesh suggested it would take a week to two to get the part and install it. However, the price would only be a quarter of the cost of a new computer. Two days after he got the computer it was done. It works perfectly. I could not be more pleased.

Major disaster. All my family files; documents, pictures & VIDEOs deleted. No problem, been there before. Went to my 3rd Party professional backup software to restore. Didn't work - error codes and corruption. A little nervous but also had a seperate offsite physical backup. Same problem !@?!. My life was down the tube. I contacted KSK computers after having some issues with my 2012 PC (it couldn't boot anymore). Turns out the SSD drive was faulty and the video card as well (which didn't came as a surprise, as it had been showing some signs lately). We discussed options - I was willing to upgrade some additional parts - but for compatibility issues (motherboard, other drive, power supply...), we agreed on just replacing the SSD drive and the video card instead of a full upgrade. Konesh managed to recover the data on my old drive and copy it over to the new one. He had the proper parts in hand (hard to get these days), and he kept me informed (text/phone) of what he was doing all along. Very good (and quick) service, very reasonable prices considering the difficulty to have access to spares for an old computer.

I had a booting issue with my laptop which I thought was simply a software issue but then I was told it was the hard drive which was dead. I was skeptical but didn’t know any better so I went ahead with the repair, especially since there was a 120$ deposit/initial diagnostic fee which kind of locked me in. I found the price of labor a little high for what was done (I was hoping a simple software repair would have sufficed, instead I ended up paying for a new hard drive, cleaning and windows installation). Ok the flip side, the computer part was cheaper than what I would have bought online so that’s a plus. Again, I’m not a computer expert and I didn’t shop around, so this might have been the right course of action or I was sold an easier but more expensive fix. I just can’t know for certain. However, the end result was that my computer was fixed: that’s what I came in for and that’s what I got so I was very satisfied with that. The service was excellent too. My laptop hard drive was replaced, windows installed and hand delivered to my door in less than 3h. If you're in a rush, this is the man for the job. If you’re looking for a better deal (which you may or may not find, I just went with KSK because it was the first company to pop up on google and because of the good reviews) and you have time to call a bunch of other places, then maybe there might be someone out there that can do it for cheaper and without a deposit. Just don’t pay more for the repair than what the computer is worth (I think everyone can agree with that). Good luck!

I called Konish early afternoon 2 days ago and said that my computer would not start up. As well, I said I just returned from an extended leave and would need my computer asap. Him being in the west Island and I in Brossard, Konish did not hesitate to arrive at my place, a 30 km drive for him to pickup my computer. 3AM that night he had it diagnosed and emailed me that it was defective RAM. Would have given a perfect score. He went out of his way to meet with me for pickup and delivery, did his work in a timely fashion, remained reachable, and offered excellent prices, is a friendly person. All in all it would have been perfect until I got home. I paid an extra 60$ for a mirror of my current computer, so I could save all my programs as well as the data (rather than only the data which would cost be less). If it failed, I would recover my data butnot be charged the 60$. He did not successfully save ANY of my programs, even little things like adobe reader and chrome were lost. Yet, I was charged the 60$ for a service I did not receive! After a complaint, he simply said there was nothing to be done. He's right, there is nothing more I can do about it, because it's a cash-only-no-receipt kind of business...

I just called KSK based on reviews and the reviews are right! Super nice guy, came to my place to pick up my computer that had stopped turning on and wasn't charging anymore. I also had a recent Crack through the led screen. Charged upfront to a diagnostic check. Turns out the video card was fried and with the cracked screen wasn't worth the price of fixing it further given the age of the laptop as well. He gave me a quote to extract the hard drive and convert it into a portable USB drive and returned my computer and the new drive with all my important files to me the next day. I had just sat down with my cup of tea about to study when I accidentally knocked over my cup. The whole content spilled over my laptop. I called Mr. Koneswaran at KSK Computers about replacing an old hard-drive with a new SSD on my mac mini. We exchanged information via text and then I made arrangements for him to pick up the computer. However, when he arrived and saw the age of the computer (I had made a mistake about the year), he advised that it might not be worthwhile as the upgraded computer would not be able to use an operating system more recent that OS Catalina. My computer started working intermittently on Friday. By Saturday, clearly it was having trouble. I absolutely needed it for Monday morning as I am teleworking. I brought it Saturday at noon. It was ready on time. That was in spite of a major power outage due to crazy winds which prevented from working on my computer for some time. I was kept up to date about the progress the repair and the expected cost. After I got the computer, I received a courtesy follow-up message to make sure all was ok. I also got some advice, on the phone, on how to optimize it to make it work even better. That was at no extra charge. During this time, had I needed to, I had a phone number to call or text, even a home address to go knock on the door! My computer works great now. It probably cost me more than Best Buy; still one needs to compare apples and apples when it comes to the quality of the customer service and technical competence. The rates are posted on KSK’s website. They even offered to pick up the computer at my home.

KSK services don't come cheap but what price do you place on competency and integrity! He correctly diagnosed the fault in my 2011 iMac, that the genius bar after 5 separate visits and full diagnosis failed to find, attributing the problem to a software issue but nonetheless gave a clean bill of health just a week before. The problem (failing often to reboot) persisted even after erasing & reinstating OS. KSK diagnosed the problem as a faulty video card that he claimed he could repair. He does not promise what he can't deliver and really delivers on what he promises. He repaired the video card but could not offer a guarantee on the life-span of the card following repair. He claimed that it all depended on how good the original card was which I thought was understandable. One month later my computer is functioning well. He certainly knows what he is doing and is trustworthy, so would highly recommend him.

There is nothing scarier (tech-wise) than waking up on a Saturday morning to find your high-end gaming/work PC won't even turn on. I called around and "big name" companies were quoting outrageous diagnosis fees, and even then would only look at it on Monday at the earliest. I then called KSK Computers. At first, I was hesitant because I admittedly hadn't heard of them before. The gentleman there was very helpful on the phone, with the utmost professionalism, which put me at ease. It was also snowing outside, so delivery of the PC to him was going to be an issue for me. That's when he informed me that he can pick up and deliver my PC for me! Not only that, but he was at my door within an hour! He also seems to be a very fast and efficient worker, keeping in touch with me on every step along the way. Turns out I needed a new power supply. He contacted me to tell me as soon as he found out. Then we talked again to confirm which new PSU I wanted. I felt far more updated than I would've with GeekSquad or MicroBytes. He then delivered my fixed PC in just 24 hours! For anyone reading this, that heavily depends on what needs fixing and the availability for replacement parts, but I have never had that much attention and fast service on any level of service work ever before! I highly recommend KSK Computers. I will be referring my own peers to him, as well as go to him in the future if needed.
