The guy sold me a “500w” psu but it had less cables than a 300w so the psu is terrible or he just slapped a different stocked on it. From personal experience wouldn’t recommend.

Let me start by saying NEVER go here. jacked up prices, shitty service, and employees who mocked me for buying an older product. I went in to buy a power supply for an older computer, and the sales associate started lecturing me on how computers nowadays use sata power connectors, and was adamant a about how I didn't need many molex cables on it. I have built computers in the past, he was the most unhelpful person ever, and continued to mock and make fun of me for trying to buy an old power supply. Worst service ever, I'll buy from anyone else. The best computer shop in town from my personal experience is national computer resource.

I am new to Kelowna and was looking for a new outfit to build computers for me and be available to repair and support my office needs. Wytek appealed because they were small and locally owned and in addition to computers, have a wide selection of wiring and accessories that are often hard to find. I did a number of small transactions and then went ahead and ordered a new PC. Pricing was slightly more than what I could get at the big box stores but my thought was to support the local guy and hope for better service. I was disappointed when I went back the other day to return an an accessory item (about $60) that I had purchased about three months prior and had not used. I was advised that they had a two week return policy and would not accept the return. I suggested that store credit would be acceptable and was advised that the two week policy applies. I am sad to say that I cannot support a business with this type of policy and will be looking for a new computer supply vendor in Kelowna

I was looking to return a product to the store as they don't price match and I found a better price online (40% cheaper). The gentleman on the phone was very rude and refused to tell me the serial number of the part I bought from them so I could return the proper one. He claimed that he was "by himself" and "too busy to look up a serial number until Mark got back next week." When I asked for his name he said "why would you need my name?" and hung up on me. I just moved out to Kelowna and was hoping to find a good local computer/electronics supplier - Wytek Direct is not such a place. I'll eat this price difference simply so I don't have to deal with them again. I would recommend everyone avoid Wytek if possible.

In all honesty the owner is a Very nice guy and i like his shop and the items. Its where the pricing makes me give a low rating. I bought a display port cable over the summer and it was faulty, a DVD drive last month and it was faulty, and i had to get my bios updated as my pc wasn't booting and was charged more money then what the motherboard is even worth (80$). Cases and such are around 30-50 more dollars then any online site aswel. I think hes reliable but my experience with the prices were terrible. (return policy isint good at all and they dont price match) Edit: Thank you for replying, however no i never did return them as i didint find time or just forgot avout that stuff, 1 star is a little steep so i adjusted it. However with everything else im still not pleased

Great selection of parts for a little store and the service was very good. Bought a couple of batteries for my security system for $20 each anywhere else they're double that. I've bought stuff here before and anything they didn't have or specialty stuff they could bring in.

Called this store and was asking them for help in determining what cables I needed to go from one device to another. There was some confusion on the phone as to which end of the converter cable was male and which was female and the guy on the phone (who was incidentally the manager) was getting noticeably frustrated and short with me. Before we resolved the confusion, he said goodbye and hung up while I was still talking. I called back and pointed out how rude he was and his response was, "I don't know what you need or what you are talking about and I have a lot of people in front of me here." I am a very tech-savvy person and can assure you that my explanation should be sufficient for anyone with an ounce of patience. Very poor customer service.

Bought computer charger here. When i plugged it in it fried, and overheated my computer. Wouldnt give me a full refund because its "my computers fault." Asked where i can get a new one. "Look it up online" thanks guys. In response to wytek respose: Yes you replaced two tips, which i was greatful for, but the fact that the tips were actually creating visible smoke out my computer is not ok. It easly could have destroyed my laptop/burnt down my house. Also i brought my old charger in, which you guys examined. I wasnt aware at the time that the watage in the charger YOU sold me did not match the comuter but thats not my job is it.... I dont remeber ever being offered to bring my laptop in. I remebered being told that "you should just go online" anyway whats done is done, to anyone with questions about their computers id recommened to "just go online"

The only place in 10 calls I made that knew what I was talking about when I asked if they had an m2 spacer and screw kit for a motherboard - and also had it in stock. Saved me the hassle of ordering a much larger amount than I needed online and risking being shipped m3 stuff (which supposedly happens frequently). Great store
