Our newer Whirlpool washing machine was making a rattling noise during the spin cycle. We called a few places on the Monday. One repair place wouldn't even book a time for a repair visit until Friday. On Tuesday, Tony booked an appointment for Thursday and correctly diagnosed that running a "clean" cycle on the machine should force the offending item through from between the drums. He saved us an unnecessary costly repair and/or replacement of a perfectly good machine. Excellent knowledge and service! Thanks Tony - we will recommend you to friends and family in the future.

Tony came to fix our washing machine in our rental house, and I was very impressed with him. He showed me what the problem was, and how to fix it myself as it would most likely continue to happen. Very impressed with Tony's professional and knowledgeable service. Called Tony because of vibration noise when dishwasher was running. He fixed it quickly. I asked him also to look at my dryer which I had noticed had been making a clunking noise when the drum was rotating. He noticed right away that some wiring inside the dryer was rubbing against the dryer drum. The wires had melted and it would have been only a matter of time before there would have been a fire. My advice to everyone is pay attention to changes in noises of your appliances as this may indicate potential hazards and to get government certified and knowledgeable people such as Tony's Repair Medic

Tony diagnosed my ice maker as broken and had to be replaced, he pre charged me for the replacement of of two switches on my range and replacement of new ice maker. I defrosted the old one and it has been working just fine since June. When Tony showed up with my new ice maker, he insisted that it needed to be replaced because it had frost on it and this is a frost free fridge. He was quite addiment that it need to be changed. When I told him no, he wasn't going to change a functioning ice maker he got quite upset and grabbed his tool box and his apprentice and stormed out of my house. He hasn't been at all cooperative since and hasn't repaid the installation fee. Be careful what you prepay for. In answer to your last post, I have just one question; If you replaced one ice maker then why do I still have two ice makers in my cupboard? I stand by my first post. You replaced two switches on my stove and then attempted to change the ice maker, I said no.

Company X from a large Global Edmonton based company repaired my dishwasher over a 4 week period. Diagnosis, wrong order, unordered parts delayed the repair. Job completed but after 2 washes it died again. Called to re book told 3 week wait for the assessment and repair. Did I want another under certified repairman to do re- do the job he screwed up. No. NO NO I called Tony. He knew exactly what to do and where to find the source of the probkem. He was in and out in a matter of time and went beyond what was was asked of him. The part that had been installed by Company X was incorrectly installed which over time could have caused a fire in the electrical components. Thank you Tony.

Ordered and installed quickly but the attitude and demeanour that Tony had during the repair and on a follow up phone call was rude and disrespectful. He complained the entire time about the job he was doing even but he was at our home for 1 hour. He could have worn a mask to protect himself since he is allergic. Instead, he made it feel like it was our fault that he had to do the repair. He said had he known he wouldn't have done the job. When asked about the bill for clarification of service call vs labor, he said if you aren't happy I will be over and will remove the new element and you can find someone else to do it. When asked if he would take the damaged element, he said no way, that's your job to find a place for it. Fair enough but the attitude was poor and the professionalism displayed by this man was non-existent. I am shocked at the 5 star rating however he has been in business for 30 years and only 31 reviews. I have never posted a review before but felt this was warranted. If we could have selected 'no star' based on our treatment, we would have.

Aug 10 2021 I have decided to update my 1 star review as the owner(Tony) has tried his hardest to make things right. He reached out right away after the negative review to explain the situation with the scheduling app they use and apologized. He came this morning to help us out and has already followed up with a text with his person # should we have issues in the future. HAPPIER and FRIDGE is working. Aug 7 2021 Called Wed Aug 4 as our fridge wasn’t working, made appointment for Friday Aug 6 and was told I would get a call between 9 and 11, when they didn’t show or call, I called the office and the nice lady(Julie I think) said it was in her schedule but the people in field must have missed it. She called me back and said the owner would personally come today Aug 7 between 10 and Noon - Another No Show, No Call, Nothing! Now we are left to wait until Monday to try and find someone next week which isn’t easy as everyone is super swamped. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND - too bad as they seem to get mostly good reviews. UNHAPPY and FRIDGELESS

Friday morning in mid November and I discover that my fridge and freezer are not working. All frozen food is thawed. I phoned several Appliance Service Businesses only to be told that it would be a 3 week wait. But thank goodness for Tony and Julie. Tony was going to be in this area and with Julie's organization, she ensured that he could be here within a few hours. Julie is so understanding and calm. I really appreciate her excellent customer service skills. Tony arrived and presto the fridge was fixed. Tony is extremely knowledgable, upbeat, and professional . Tony is honest, dependable and knowledgeable. He will recommend if you should repair or replace. In the case of our fridge he assessed that a repair might not work, just making it a costly repair that would not last. When our oven failed, I was prepared to purchase a new stove but Tony was able to repair our oven, waited to do a temperature check and I’m happy to report that our oven is working better than ever. We will call Tony for all of our appliance repairs.

My tenant was having issues with both the dishwasher and washing machine. I live out of province, so was not able to attend to the property. I called Tony he made it out the next business day and diagnosed the problems with no issue. The dishwasher was fixed the same day, the washer required a part that was ordered, and installed within the week. Both appliances are working now and my tenant happy. I am writing this review cause I've used Tony for over 25 years , sometimes we forget to reward great service with great reviews, Like to let everyone know I am a retired Doctor, I was on Google looking up repairmedic phone number since it had changed from my last reapir and on his site I saw and read reviews including Mr. Desjarlais bad review , I called Tony to get advise on purchasing new appliances , mine are over 19 years old and asked what the bad review was about , I know him to be a kind, honest man as the other reviews suggest , but was curious and I hadn't talked to him in a while and used to opportunity to wish happy new year, This Is Tony ! he didn't say nothing bad about that individual , but said it had upset him to be categorized in such a bad way, he began asking me if I'd ever noticed him to be rude or dishonest ? He was reflecting inward and asking questions about himself . Everyone has a right to an opinion , provided its honest and true to the subject to which its reflecting . But to many times people see it fit to only see their side and embellish their story as to have others side towards them. I stopped Tony right there and simply told him , I wish other men where like him and although he is not perfect , 4.9 out of 5 stars comes real close!! I also told him , it won't be the last time someone does that. Yes, I am his friend but I tell you ...Tony is a great guy and the best, most experienced appliance tech in Kelowna !! That judgement is based on 6 repairs over 25 years and my knowing him for over 30 years ! This is actual truth , shame on you Mr. Dejarlais ? obviously, you're the only one out of 35.
